An absolutely beautiful hotel close to the centre of town. Everyone there was warm and friendly. The room was well maintained, comfortable and clean. Parking was very inexpensive and very convenient. A great place overall!

The hotel is very clean and room was good. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Hotel is quite old and for my opinion it’s not a 4 stars hotel. Quite place.
Breakfast was good enough. Simple Italian breakfast. Some stuff was unfriendly. They helped when I asked something . They don’t have free of charge parking.

The hotel is perfectly situated. However, it needs major renovations and a good cleaning. The carpects in the hallways are old and dirty. The rooms are very dusty. the curtains and light fictures are covered in dust. My husband and were all stuffed up. The breakfast buffet is full of sweets, does not cater to people who eat healthy. I asked for stewed prunes and they did not have any. This hotel was very disapointing.

We were off season, town was quiet, atmosphere was slow. The local shops were welcoming and most spoke English, those that did not Spanish was used to get by with similarities in the two languages. The only issue we had with the hotel was noise from remodeling on the third floor from renovations, daytime hours only. We were gone most of the time and it had minimal impact on our stay.

Would rate the hotel as a 3 to 4 star. Some renovation work is in progress. Room on small side, nowhere to place cases on, kettle provided but no tea or coffee. Plumbing a bit noisy but walk in shower was excellent with good controls.
Television could only get CNN and BBC world (at times). Breakfast good selection but not much variation.

Good hotel could do better

Hotel in good postion, reception staff were lovely and could not be more helpfull but breakfast staff were not at all helpfull every morning I had to ask for coffee sometimes even having to go and find the waiter, one in particular never uttered a word the whole time we were there.

the location was great

but the electricity kept going off from time to time and when i spoke to the disk i got different excuses one of them was because of the window was open in the room
the staff had an attitude , specially when i asked about the spa's , she pointed me to a place a little far and public , when i asked if any other private available , she said no , later i found one just in front of the hotel and it was the best one they had .

If you are looking for a friendly hotel with helpful staff this is not the place for you. The staff seem demoralised and can't be bothered. The breakfast isn't anything to look forward to either as it offers a very limited continental selecton. On the plus side the cleaning staff are efficient and the location of the hotel is good.

Not what we expected.

Touring around Tuscany, we thought an overnight at Montecatini would be different. Descriptions of the Spas made us think of Harrogate or Cheltenham. The place turned out to be more like Blackpool with amusements and funfairs and very busy. We also thought this hotel would be part of the Tettucio Spa but it's some walk away and is quite ordinary.Montecatini Alto (up a fenicular) is quite old and interesting with panoramic views.

Formal Rather Than Welcoming

The Grand Hotel Tettucci is indeed grand, and it is in a lovely, but hard-to-get-to location. The pedestrian area and warren of one-way streets confused our car's navigation system. We expected a room with two twin beds, as confirmed, but found a king-size bed. Quick maid service transformed the room into our required twin room. The hotel is a magnet for tour groups and we found the lack of soundproofing to be a strong negative. Our room faced the back parking lot (free!), the next-door hotel's pool (wish we had one) and trash receptacles. You could set your watch by the nightly dumping of bottles! We were promised robes; there were no robes. We were provided with a coffee pot, cups wrapped in cellophane and tied with a jaunty bow but, alas, no coffee packets, cream or sugar. The towels were abundant, but thin and not too absorbent. The hair dryer was useless. The breakfast buffet was adequate. And, why, in this Internet era, were we charged 3 euros a day for wi fi with an annoying change of user name and password every day? Come on, folks, make it free and easy to use, please.

Grand Hotel Tettuccio is situated in calm and clear area, acros the park. Rooms are clear, and bathrooms large. Employes in the Hotel are very kind. Hotel has big and free parking area. Train station is close (4-5 min. by walk).

Grand Hotel Tettuccio, Montecatine Terme

We booked out of season and received very good rates. Room adequate, and breakfst good. Staff friendly. Car parking at back. I know the area very well but have never stayed in MT itself. The hotel is located in the perfect spot to walk the town and enjoy the spas, cafes, shops and parks. Also a short walk to the station can take you beyond very easily. The hotel interiors need updating, but having said that I was sorry not to see pictures/ photographs of its past, which I have heard is long and interesting. Will book again next year for same period.

The staff members were unprofessional, unpolite and rude. Internet connection was frequently disconnected though you need to pay 8 Euro.
Morning meals was not fresh and you may get discrimination of meals if you are staying with toghether. Please see other opinions.

Nice place....but

Nice hotel however it could have been excellent if a few things were different. No directions in the room for phone, tv, hotel, nothing.....the bathroom lacked a great deal and shampoo was in little sealed bags, soap broken and very small. I would think for a spa town they would have had some nice and unique items for guests. Staff was professional, but not friendly. I asked about a clock or radio and was told no, they did not and would not provide one so we had to use our wrist watches as we forgot our clock. House keeping was excellent and nice. Breakfast staff very curt (however to be honest the person working breakfast seemed to be at the hotel 24/7 in different jobs). The food never changed and the juice throughout our stay became weaker and weaker (watered down obviously). Location is excellent and there is a tourism office in the same block, thank goodness as our hotel staff offered no suggestions on restaurants or things to do!!!

Lovely historic Italian resort hotel

Memories of Italian resort life of the 1800's are everywhere in this hotel. Bathroom was clean, sheets were soft, room was light and airy. Breakfast was plentiful. Perfect location for jogging in the park or going to one of the thermal spas. Free overnight parking was a bonus!

Great value!

If you can get past the faded appearance of the property and the light bulbs in the room which hardly illuminate anything, you will enjoy the prime location. It's right across from the park and the spas, and comes with free parking and a decent breakfast. It's not a real 4 star hotel, but for the great price, everything can easily be overlooked.

A hotel of character

Very centrally located. Old-fashioned, but so is the rest of Montecatini Terme. Free parking behind the hotel. Very limited English-language TV; which is faily usual in Tuscany. We found the staff helpful.

Excellent but with items lacking for a 4*!

The hotel itself was wonderful and ideally located for the local sights etc. I was, however, disappointed with the (predictable) choice of breakfast items and shocked that the hotel did not (and would not) provide a kettle or iron facilities...things I would've thought standard of a 4* hotel. I had to buy an iron (to press my husband's suit) and was forced to go through the incovenience of borrowing a friend's kettle each day so I could boil water for my baby's bottles. A real shame as otherwise it was lovely - and great value for money on Expedia!

Location is excellent for nearby park & spas - try the tettuccio spa (6 euros)only 200m walk. Reception v helpful & friendly. Room we stayed in was small (not impression given by photos) with tiny bathroom, no balcony/bathrobes as advertised & tiny portable TV. Breakfast was buffet style but basic. Hotel was clean. Overall it should be a 3 star category.

Pas mal de charges supplémentaires cachées lors de la réservation (parking fermé mais pas surveillé 10€ par jour, prix payant par animal de compagnie 10€ par chien pour une nuit -pas de service sur mesure qui justifie ce prix) Le prix affiché et la devanture de l'hotel sont alléchants mais a la.fin du séjour ça revient cher pour ce que c'est: une quarantaine d'euros au départ pour en arriver à une centaine avec le dej et taxe de séjour élevée
Petit dej très mauvaise qualité des produits, sûrement de l'industriel et surgelé. Le séjour ne vaut pas plus que 40€, pour 100 il y a sûrement mieux. Mauvais rapport qualité /prix

Buon hotel a Montecatini Terme

Hotel in posizione molto comoda per terme, teatro e il centro di Montecatini.
La stanza assegnataci (228) ben arredata, letto matrimoniale costituito da 2 materassi singoli uniti, ma molto comodi, così come i cuscini.

Bagno ristrutturato molto bello, doccia enorme, purtroppo abbiamo avuto problemi di termosifone del bagno, ma il personale gentilissimo ha provato a risolverlo, anche se senza successo, ma può capitare.

Stanza calda. Magari da rivedere un po' gli infissi, ma comunque buona.

Colazione di qualità nella media, ma ottima la caffetteria fatta espressa e non con macchinette.

Per essere un 4 stelle, magari dovrebbe conformarsi a una prassi abbastanza comune nel mondo delle hotellerie, ovvero far trovare una bottiglietta d'acqua di cortesia in camera, così come qualche filtro di tisana, mentre c'era solo il bellissimo servizio di porcellana per poterla fare, ma non l'elemento principale per farla!

Mi sono fermato in hotel 3 notti per lavoro e mi sono trovato veramente bene.
Tutto ok dalla colazione alla cena, unica pecca se mi posso permettere è il costo della colazione che ho trovato un po’ al di sopra della media dei 4 stelle, comunque abbondante nell’offerta.

Non è vero che l’hotel è dotato di parcheggio come scritto in fase di prenotazione, il parcheggio che specificano non custodito è a pagamento. Non ci sono neanche gli spazzolini dentro le camere, vengono venduti al distributore automatico quelli della Coop a 6 euro.

Ein Grandhotel der klassischen Art: unser Zimmer mit Blick auf den Kurpark war pieksauber, mit liebevollen Details und sehr schönem Bad. Das Frühstück wird in einem großzügigen Wintergarten von livrierten Kellern serviert, die ihren Beruf gelernt haben. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis war exzellent. Das Hotel ist absolut zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder!

Comunque ottimo

Hotel Tettuccio è uno degli hotel da scegliere per soggiornare a Montecatini. Hotel che ha recentemente effettuato una'ottima ristrutturazione dei bagni e che tende sempre ad aumentare il confort e il benessere dei propri ospiti. Proprio in virtù di quanto sopra, non riesco davvero a capire come un hotel del genere abbia scelto di inserire nei nuovi bagni i saponi fissi. Secondo il mio modestissimo parere non è una scelta da 4* ed in più non si ha quel senso di pulizia che ci dovrebbe essere quando si entra nella camera di un hotel, in quanto non vengono cambiati e rimangono quelli dell'ospite precedente.

Tutto perfetto!

Un quattro stelle che non ha nulla da invidiare a categorie superiori. Personale molto cordiale e gentile, camere ampie, arredate con gusto e colori tenui piacevoli, ottima la pulizia, eccezionale la colazione.

Très très bien. Hôtel proche de centre-ville.

Très bon petit déjeuner. Les chambres sont très propres. Literie top. Grand salle de bain.
