We enjoyed our 7 day stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was good and easy access to town and funicular up to hill town.

I was assigned a room across the street from the main hotel. It was raining and I had to walk up steps with my suitcase, when I arrived in my room that was assigned there was somebody else’s belongings. The phone did not work to call reception so I had to walk back across the street in the rain down the steps with my luggage, back to the hotel where they seemed to not believe me that somebody else was in the room. It took a while to sort out, and I was assigned another room. It felt unsafe that I was given a key to somebody else’s room, and that could well have happened to me. Additionally, no one offered to help me with the luggage to the next room which was also across the street in the rain up the stairs.

We stayed in a separate building adjacent to main hotel so didn’t really have much to do with staff etc. our room was fine, clean, comfy beds and plenty of storage.
The area was really good, plenty of nice restaurants & cafes. Train stations in walking distance. Plenty of shops around. Had breakfast in cafe next door Cafe Salute, croissants and drink for around £3, excellent value

The pictures are deceiving and so is the wording of the rooms. It is not stated but it is clear the hotel is separate from the building with the pool and dining area. Dependable and annex rooms are exactly the same (as stated by staff when asked). The fact that prices are different and labelled different is a con. The room is basic. Good wardrobe space. The staff were all great. As mentioned, the room is in a separate building and it is not manned at all. The lift is small. It can take two people and two suitcases. There is a mini fridge which is handy. Breakfast wasn't great. The placed looked pretty empty and they probably would have done well to have upgraded anyone in that building to the main building. The pool was quite empty and no idiots trying to leave towels to hog lounges. It is, however, very small so people playing ball games or families end up taking up a lot of the space. It is not manned but there is a phone to call up. Pool toilets dont appear to be regularly checked. The area is picturesque and there are so many excellent restaurants around (including in the main building).

Lovely area. Loved our room although could have been a tiny bit cleaner /dusty and couple hairs :( other than that was perfect. Gave me and my partner a bottle for our anniversary and the view from the room was stunning. We will be back next year!

Well, we've stayed in better hotels and worse hotels! After the initial shock of the tattered condition of the room, the furniture, the lack of decor in the worn out room (yellow and pink....terrible!), we managed to have a good night's sleep. The linens were at least clean and fresh. Don't pick up anything off the floor...the carpet should have been replaced 15 years ago!

Originalt hotel i gammel stil. Vi synes dette var sjarmerende og lot oss ikke sjenere av dette.

Ce qui nous a plu dans cet hôtel, c'est son atmosphère. Le lieu est plein de charme qui rappelle un peu l'ambiance \"Disney\". Le personnel a été génial (gentillesse, conseils ..) Nous avons pu laisser la voiture dans le garage un peu étroit certes mais avec une petite voiture ça passe c'est 7 euros la journée. Avec une arrivée tardive, nous avons pu profiter de la piscine le lendemain matin. L'annexe est vraiment en face de l'hôtel donc ce n'est pas un problème.

Mi aspettavo di più’. L’hotel vanta due strutture, quella dov’è hanno dato la camera a noi è decisamente vecchia, il bagno è da hotel 2 stelle, vecchio con sanitari sporchi , a mala pena arrivava l’acqua calda dal lavandino! Letto matrimoniale composto da due materassi uniti, cuscini pessimi, telefono in camera rotto, per chiamare la reception ho dovuto usare il cellulare. Il porta sapone del bagno rotto ed appoggiato sulla vasca. Per ciò che riguarda la hall ed il ristorante devo dire tutto molto positivo, sia la cena che il personale in sala gentilissimo. Unica pecca la colazione , nessun salato caldo, omelette , patate bea in ecc... la spremuta a parte si paga 5 euro! Insomma dovessi tornare a Montecatini di certo sceglierei un’altra struttura.
