The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. I needed to stay an extra day and they helped with the extended stay. The only bad thing and this has nothing to do with the staff, was the area. There was “ladies of the night” near the property day and night. Not a friendly family environment. I give credit to the staff for keeping them at bay and off the property.

The first room we got smelled like smoke, when we went down to let them know they were very nice and changed rooms for us. One of the staff came upstairs to make sure the room didn't smell. The second room was ok however it was not very clean. the floors were sticky and left black markers on our socks. The bathroom had a few bugs. The best thing about the place was the staff.

We booked 3 rooms
We each had a horrible stay the only thing we enjoyed was the view from our room
When arriving the staff said we could check in early unless we paid $55.00 each
But when it was time to check in our rooms they weren’t ready until 3:40
the lobby restrooms were filthy I had to complain
Our room didn’t have a working iron or a hairdryer one of the beds didn’t have a blanket
the air conditioner was supper loud
I asked for extra towels which they weren’t going to give us any
The other room didn’t have blankets on both beds and the air conditioner was leaking
And the third room was also missing a blanket
I was the only one who complained and went and got the teams we needed at the front desk
The rest of my family just did without
We had a Horrible Horrible stay

DO NOT stay here. DIRTY. Seedy. Had to sign a waiver saying I’d be appropriately dressed in the lobby because they often have prostitutes as patrons (they literally told me this). Had to ask for the floor to be mopped. BED BUGS. Woke up with large bites all over my body. Had to bag my pjs and buy new ones at the local Walmart to keep from bringing any home. Beds come either with no comforters at all (just thin sheets) or comforters with numerous large stains, burn marks etc. Staff literally told me they had no comforters without stains and burn marks. Had to ask for a tv remote, microwave, and working coffee maker which were supposed to be included. Moved to another room. Woke up with MORE bites… The stay was incredible, as in unbelievable. Even if it were free, the condition of the hotel is unacceptable. I will say staff never ignored any concerns that were expressed, and when I brought to their attention that no one had apologized for my experience, they did apologize. They’re well aware that the condition of the hotel is deplorable and that the ratings are low as a result. They blame management for not overhauling this location and I agree with them. Expedia should stop recommending this hotel immediately.

Location of the hotel was the best for my trip,but the service was very poor and the cleaning was very poor, the bed sheets were not clean and had bloodstains, I showed it to management, they said okay we will change it for you, but when I come at nine I see they change the sheets but with an other dirty one.
I went down and asked for a clean sheet , the front desk said no one is here to change it for you, I said if you gave me I will change it for myself, and he said the laundry is close right now.😢

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was filthy from the moment we arrived. The floors were so dirty that we didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot, and to make matters worse, we found a piece of rotten cheese behind the bed, which clearly showed the room had not been properly cleaned.
We also found roaches in the room, which was completely unacceptable. There were mold stains on the ceiling, creating an unhealthy and unpleasant environment. The TV didn't work during our entire stay, and basic necessities such as towels were not provided until we specifically requested them.
Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and level of service were far below what any guest should expect. I would not recommend staying here and will not be returning.

Starts at check in $100.00 deposit & $30.00/day to park. Niether which is mentioned on EITHER Hotels.com, their website states fees may very. Unfortunately I did't check their website carefully enough, Which brings to the Staff, I didn't question the deposit but I had a real problem with the parking the young lady stated they charge $50.00/nite downtown, I reminded her this Natonal City along way from Downtown. The grounds: The parking is dirty and the Hookers stay out of it, However the building for the most part clean. The Room had been cleaned and right away they but 1 set of towels easily corrected as the maid was a couple of doors away. The Fidge had not been running so it a while to cool down. However the hotwater takes quite awhile

good if you’re someone who doesn’t plan on staying in your hotel. convenient location, paid parking lot, cold ac if you like that, knowledgeable friendly and helpful staff, the lights at night are aesthetically pleasing as well. now the bad, heater did not work, there was a roach in my room on my last day so i’m sure it was around just hidden. be careful of the entrances at night if you are a solo female traveler.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The property looked nothing like the photos or description advertised online. When we arrived, our room had no blankets or towels. When we contacted the front desk, we were told they did not have any available, which is unacceptable for any hotel.

We stayed for two nights and three days. During our entire stay, neither the pool nor the restaurant was open. We were informed that the pool had been shut down by the health department.

The cleanliness of the property was a major issue. There were bird droppings throughout the common areas, the ice machine was broken, and the lobby and elevators were dirty and poorly maintained. Our bathroom was filthy upon arrival. There was mold in the shower, used toilet paper left behind, and a leaking hole in the ceiling.

To make matters worse, there were vagrant individuals hanging out in the hallways, which made us feel unsafe during our stay.

The staff was also very rude whenever we asked questions or needed assistance. Rather than being helpful, they acted as though guests were inconveniencing them.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The condition of the property, lack of basic amenities, cleanliness issues, closed facilities, safety concerns, and poor customer service made this one of the worst hotel stays I have experienced. I feel that the hotel was misrepresented online and would not stay here again.

I rarely leave reviews, and I generally do not have negative experiences with hotels, but this stay was extremely disappointing.

When we arrived late at night and began unloading our luggage, there was a man walking around the parking lot with a flashlight who continuously stared at us without saying a word. This made us feel very uneasy and uncomfortable. We later learned during checkout that he was the parking lot security guard; however, he was not wearing any visible badge, uniform, or vest identifying him as staff. His demeanor also came across as unwelcoming.

Unfortunately, the experience did not improve once we entered the lobby. The front desk employee was rude and dismissive, repeatedly interrupting me while I was speaking and making us feel unwelcome from the start.

Upon entering our room, we found several cleanliness and maintenance issues, including cockroaches underneath the TV box unit, hair on the sheets and bedding, cigarette burns on the comforter, and peeling wallpaper that appeared to have been poorly repaired.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The combination of the uncomfortable arrival, poor customer service, and lack of cleanliness made for an unsatisfactory stay. I would not choose to stay here again.

There was hair in the bathrooms, toenails near the front door, pool not working, I heard that the top 5 floors they use for homeless people, internet did not work, the room had a terrible stench right when we walking in, the covers was a sheet, and it the stairwell smelt like urine for a start. Worse hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. People kept complaining at the front desk as I was trying to use the internet but could not and overheard all of their complaints.

Our group booked in advance, and day of check in, most were given the option to stay and wait for a potential room to open or cancel and find other accommodations. (Rooms booked/paid in advance and then were forced to find other accommodations that were more expensive and last minute.)
My room was okay, no bugs, but definitely dated.
The bigger issue came with the rooms next to me or above me causing overwhelming amount of noise during sleeping hours. I was forced to call the front desk in the middle of the night (from my cell phone because my room phone was broken) to ask for assistance and I was told that security would be notified...the problems went on for another hour or longer. Next morning I went down and talked with staff and they were given the same information as the person I talked to at 230 & I was assured they would be moved or talked to, I would get notified of the resolution, and they would be moved or advised to stop with the noise. Note: staff did not follow up.
Next night, it happened again. I went downstairs and told the desk, & it was told their GM would be there at noon and I could wait to talk to her or call & ask for her. I called this pm at 1215 and she was gone and no calls to me to make it right.
Please keep in mind, I had a minor child participating in a sporting tournament and was woken up so many times due to the neighbor and the overwhelming noise from the ac unit. I am very displeased with my stay.

We stayed at the Ramada Hotel in San Diego on Sunday night, 5/17, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

We checked in online and also called the hotel ahead of time to confirm that arriving before midnight would be okay. We arrived around 9:30 PM and were first assigned room 601. The hotel lobby was extremely dark — only the front desk area and the front of the elevator were lit. There was one guest ahead of us in line and about three guests exiting the elevator while we were getting our room key.

When we entered the room, we noticed an alarm/security device sitting loose on the table, which immediately made us feel unsafe. We called the front desk to report it, but they already seemed aware of the issue.

We requested another room and were moved to room 718. Unfortunately, the second room was also unacceptable. There was no hair dryer provided, and it appeared that the sheets on both beds had not been changed. The sheets and pillowcases had many spots and stains, and the next morning we even found a pair of socks inside the bedding.

By that time, it was already after 10:00 PM, and we no longer felt safe going back out to deal with the situation. We ended up removing all the sheets ourselves and slept without them because we felt uncomfortable using the bedding provided.

Early the next morning, we contacted the front desk and requested a full refund because we could not stay for the second night. Thankfully, the hotel refunded us, but the entire experienc

It is an older place, as you can tell when you say there. For the rate, it was fair. The front desk was friendly enough, but follow-through on requests was limited. I didn't get the extra towels (requested twice). I didn't get the handset on my phone replaced (it didn't work). The air conditioner condensation pipe dripped right into the sink while i was washing up (the was weird). Parking was easy, though. And it's easy to find right off the freeway.

They offer parking in the under ground garage and at ground level. The garage is very scary and has junkies lingering. The parking on ground level was nicely lit and 15.00 a night.

The entire facility is very old and run down. The beds were clean and comfy but the floor had not been swept in a very long time. We literally had to wear shoes at all times.

Our room had no towels at check in. We called at 3pm letting them know. They promised to send them up. We went shopping and came back around 7. Still no towels. The guy said yeah i think i have a few. I will send them up right away. Still no towels by bedtime.

The next day we stopped at the desk after a long day at the beach. The guy simply said i have 2 i can give you. The guys behind us in line had the same exact interaction.

As our stay went on we noticed multiple sketchy people and prostitutes so we eventually wondered if they don't supply them due to b this reason. Literally a group of junkies riding up and down the elevator doing drugs.

Every ice machine on the property is broken so we had to buy ice at the very very sketchy gas station next door.

Please do not bring kids here. Pay 40.00 more a night and get away from National City. We will never stay anywhere near this city again. This hotel has simply surrendered.

The absolute worst stay I've ever had. To start, there was no toilet paper, towels nor bedding on one of the beds. There were working women ALL over the property. The last day of my stay, someone broke into my room by removing the window at 3:30am. I tried to contact the front desk. They told me they didn't have management nor security on weekends so there's nothing they could do and I should contact the third party (Expedia) that I booked it through. No care whatsoever for safety.

The hotel is 0 family friendly. It’s like a hotel for prostitution. There was a lady with a very short dress in the elevator with her butt out. The neighbors got in a fight in the middle of the night. The room was very poorly maintained. We got there late & my family and I were tired so we just stayed but we left next morning as soon as we woke up. There was a lady walking inside the hotel with nothing but a thong on when we were in the parking lot. It was terrible.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I had stayed in a Ramada Hotel previously so I considered it an upgrade from a Motel especially as a 3-star hotel however I was very wrong. This Ramada was absolutely unacceptable at a price of $140/night. The lobby looked acceptable but I soon realized there was no security or gates anywhere so the hallways and stairwells are filled with crackheads and homeless doing drugs on the property and in the stairwells. There is a strong stench of urine everywhere. The entire place is filthy and in very poor condition. Our first room was left open and cleary someone had been in there as there was blood in the bath tub. We asked to have a new room and we given that but it was still in poor condition with blood stains on the sheets and just overall gross conditions. Walls are paper thin and you could hear the street noise as well as screaming neighbors throughout the night. My neighbor in particular blasted trap music until 2am. Overall it was a very unsafe neighborhood and the building felt like it was catering towards drug addicts. Would not recommend and will not be staying there ever again as I felt incredibly unsafe.

One of the worst places anyone can ever stay I don’t recommend this place as a place to stay, better of staying at a different hotel our room was filthy a lot of horrible activities going on in and around this place I will never or not recommend anyone to stay and I will never go back..

Overall, the day was good. We were in a non-smoking room. Elevator smelt like smoke though, and you could smell it outside your door. Three star review was more because although they said the room was ready when we checked in we dropped off our stuff and had to go out for an appointment by the time we got back in the room we found that we did not have a blanket, which required us to have to go downstairs get somebody at the desk was able to help take care of it for us. Staff was friendly, but there might’ve been maybe some professional appearance pieces with T-shirts being worn behind the counter.

Hello,
I chose this hotel because if felt affordable and trustworthy for amount the history of the hotel chains reputation for cleanliness and quality. I have to say I was dismayed. There was no running water. Then when I called the staff they said it would be up and running in a few minutes. The water did not come back on for over an hour so I went out to eat and came back I went in the bathroom and turned on the facet and shooting air sounds came out. Then suddenly out of the side of my eye I seen a cockroach. Then I ran onto my bed and called the front desk. They told me they do not have cockroaches and the water will be on soon. At the exact moment I looked at the floor and two cockroaches were running under a chair in the room I am guessing they live in. I left the hotel and paid $400. for a night of comfort and piece at another hotel. The peace of mind was amazing. FYI: The Wyndham did not refund my money or offer me anything to adjust the room stay.

We had to put a towel down in the shower to feel comfortable to use it, so dirty looking. The property allows hookers to go in and out.

As we first entered the room it smelled like cigarettes and there was only 1 towel. I had to go to the front desk to ask for more towels and only was given 2 pool towels. This was the first hotel that I had been to that charged for parking. I explained thelat when I booked the room it never said about parking fees and they were nice enough to comp the parking for us. We stayed there 4 days and the housekeeping NEVER cleaned, emptied the trash or left clean towels in our room. The mirror in the room wasn't cleaned because there was blood and pus on it as if someone popped their pimples in front of it. The floors were dirty and needed to be mopped. The shower was ok but there was hair in the tub and on the shower curtain. The coffee maker was broken and after notifying the front desk they never brought a working one. After 2 days my husband had to go to the front desk and ask again for another coffee maker. Everywhere you walked there smelled like marijuana and the ground and stairs need a power wash. The WiFi was good and the beds were clean and comfortable.
