Hotel was nice, rooms are confusing and breakfast was good. The only complaint I have is there was no hot water in my room . I contacted front desk and he tried to fix the issue but and the end I was given another room to use the shower. Unfortunately that shower was not so great. The pressure of the water was so slow and the shower knobs were different so you could not control the temperature that you wanted . I would adjust it to the perfect temperature and all the sudden very hot water would come out. At first I thought it was only me. My husband also confirmed that it happen to him too. I did mention to the person at check out . Would have been nice to get a refund of some sort for the inconvenience.

I have stayed here before although this time a paid a little more than usual but I have to say it was well worth the extra money. I dont know if it was because it was a last minute booking through Hotels.com and all that they had available but it was worth the VIP status that we received from hotel and the room was top notch. This is my favorite hotel in Tecate. This time we stayed in the family room which is equipped for 4 adults. I had a last minute request to accommodate an additional adult and they had no problem adding a sofabed in the room for a very affordable fee. Free breakfast, excellent customer service, bicycles available for free, pool table, two pools, one with shade, restaurant Bajo Tierra on site (closed in Mondays), gas station next to the hotel, taqueria right across the street. Best place for anyone to stay in. Yes, I am a fan 😊

The atmosphere is very relaxing, it is a beautiful three story hotel with plenty of sitting space in different areas inside and outside of the hotel. Very disappointed because we wanted to spend some time in the garden area and the day was perfect to spend a little time in the jacuzzi and I think the correct thing would have been for them to tell you when booking that the common area where the pool and jacuzzi are are closed. They made us spend more, because we did want to enjoy the facilities and we couldn't. I don't think I'll come back, which is a shame because you can't stay in your room all day. Disappointed by Expedia or Hotel Santana for not notifying that the amenities were closed, we could have made a different decision.
