Room was very Parisian, cute but room was hot needed a fan to be bought to the room. Staff nice but be prepared to use your google translator for clear messaging. The night person on duty, spoke English and fixed my concern regarding the room, hence the fan. Room was close to most things that made the issues minor.

This was the coolest place. The beds were comfortable, my room was such a neat design, big and clean! The staff was unbelievably nice. My flight was cancelled the day of check out and they let me hang around and offered me drinks and even a place to lie down if I wanted. They even have the cutest cat roaming around, it’s very friendly but beware if you have a cat allergy.

There is a very narrow stairway to get into the building, and there are stairs to get to your room.
There is an adorable cat in the building who is sweet and fluffy, but can easily be avoided if you have allergies. He is fully vaccinated and not a bother at all.
The rooms were great size, with enough room to move around.
There is no microwave. And only one trash can which is in the bathroom.
There is a fridge which is stocked (but you have to pay if you drink the drinks in there).
They provide you with two waters on the nightstands with glasses.
There is a tv and a radio which we didn’t use.
We didn’t have a view of the Eiffel Tower, it was a view of the adjacent buildings but we didn’t care.
There is a lounge area with water and coffee- both were wonderful. There are also many couches and games (chess, etc).
The location was PERFECT! Close to the Eiffel Tower and other tourist attractions. There are so many restaurants and cafes in the area, endless amounts so it really was a perfect area.
There is also a restaurant downstairs of the hotel (it’s part of it) that you can reserve with the front desk staff- we did eat there and the service was wonderful. Food was good but we found a better spot up the road which was a little better.

Great location and lovely staff! The building is old and gorgeous and incredibly charming. I wasn’t aware that there was no lift, and while the staff were incredibly kind and helpful it was something I wish I had known pre-booking (likely my fault for not reading more closely!). Also, the bathtub was delightful but a bit of a pain if you need an actual shower. Finally, the rooms are decorated beautifully and look like the photos but l was a little disappointed in the state of our room. Carpet looked stained and paint/wallpaper was chipping all over, ceilings were dirty. Again, good location for what we wanted but don’t know if it was worth the price we paid.

The staff at this hotel are so kind and friendly however the rooms have seen better days. Our room clearly was aged with stains on the headboard, lights out in the bathroom and the vanity mirror about to fall out of the wall. The biggest draw back is you can not control the temp of your room, the temp is controlled by a main temp of the overall hotel which is to hot.

The property itself was well maintained and the room we were given was warm and well stocked with clean bedding and decent air conditioning. The rooms could do with a slight update as the headboard looked pretty tired in our room however didnt inpact the stay at all. Perfect for our weekend away. Had a lovely time here in a superior room. The room was relatively small but absolutely adequate for the two of us. The bathroom was quite large and comfortable. The brasserie is bustling on weekends with a posh crowd. Enjoyed some vintage champagne at the bar there. Will absolutely return!

The location is really great, so convenient and so close to so many awesome neighborhoods. On a great street, with great restaurants and shopping. We got the room with the bigger bathroom and tub- for sure was nice, though the shower was a little challenging. Over all, this is the perfect hotel for a safe, easy area to enjoy Paris.

However, the light in the water closet did not work in some of the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, but otherwise very clean and safe hotel that we really enjoyed.

We had a fantastic week at Hotel Thoumieux. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel a few mornings and it was always excellent. The room was small, but it was very cute and in good condition. For our first stay in Paris the location was excellent, there are cafes and shops nearby and it’s fairly easy to get to a lot of the monuments. There are quite a few stairs to get to the lobby and then to the room, but we didn’t mind - the staff helped with our bags thankfully. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Paris!

The staff were very kind and helpful. When reserving the room, I stated 2 adults and one child, however, upon arrival there was a crib (pack and play), not a pullout couch for our 8 year old. Looking at the website hotel room, a couch was in the picture. There were no couches in the room therefore a folding cot was provided. It collapsed twice on the child. The couches in the photo were only in the eating area of the hotel.

It was a good stay. I did enjoy the themes of the rooms. It was such a unique style. Staff was very friendly and room was clean. My only comment would be the shower, It was a bathtub with hand wand nozzle only. No stand up shower.

But when we came home from dinner out that night at about 11:30, we found there was a raging party going on in the Brasserie, and we could hear every note of the piano and stereo music. We asked at the front desk and were told it would last until \"1:30 or 2:00 at the latest\" and that these parties where \"only on Fridays and Saturdays.\" That was really no comfort to us as it was half our (quite expensive) stay. The next morning we asked to move rooms and the staffer very nicely agreed and moved us to room 17 at the opposite end of the building, where we had no further problems. My beef is not with either of the staffers we spoke with, but rather the management of the hotel trying to have it both ways by hosting these parties and booking unsuspecting hotel guests into a clearly unsuitable room.

Fantastic hotel, cannot recommend this place enough! It was our first time in Paris. Staff were friendly and helpful, the area was in perfect vicinity of tourist attractions (Eiffel Tower can be seen from hotel). Great local food options nearby and metro station right there.

The hotel location was perfect for getting around. There are several conveniences located on the same street- grocery and pharmacy stores, great restaurants, etc. My room was quiet and well furnished. The only thing missing for me was a way to plug-in/charge via USB and I wish the lighting in the bedroom was brighter. I also had a hard time getting the room to cool down with the AC but ended up being ok because the windows opened. The staff was very nice and greeted me daily. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Everyone should stay here! I had some issues with Expedia, and the staff did everything in their power to fix the issues and make sure my trip was amazing, even answering questions I had before I even arrived. From the moment I stepped into the hotel they were receptive, helpful, and extremely friendly. You are literally steps from so many attractions, restaurants, cafes, shops, and the metro, and it was always so easy to find a cab. Every morning when you walk through the lobby you are greeted with a friendly familiar face, which was especially important to me as a woman traveling alone. The hotel is small, only a few rooms, snd and the one downside is that there are no elevators ( which wasn’t an issue for me but if you are unable to take stairs you shouldn’t stair here) the staff helped me bring my bags up and down the stairs as I needed. I stayed in the deluxe room and the decor was gorgeous. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone staying in Paris and will stay here again when I come back!

It is located in a very good neighborhood, 10 minutes walking from the Eiffel Tower and very close to main attractions. The hotel room can improve the carpet has stain which make me feel uncomfortable. The paper wall is falling apart and they don’t give you key for the main door of the hotel. There is a nice gentleman all night but my concern was, what if at any point i have to go in or out and the man was at the bathroom. Anyways, if i go back to Paris and the give me room number 12 ill take it again because of the location. There is no lift that is why i remark room 12.

We really liked our experience at this property. It was the boutique experience we were looking for. Understood that as a place in the heart of the city that it doesn't have a lift, but we didn't mind the climb and appreciated the top floor room.

Do NOT stay at this hotel Thoumieux in Paris. This review won’t be long enough. The breakfast is horrible. Zero options. There are strategically places holes in the walls of the bathroom that I filled with tissue. There’s a party in the restaurant downstairs every night so it’s crowded and loud. Worst part is as an international traveler they waited until I was on my flight and fraudulently charged my card. They sent fake receipts of a refund that never happened. This is a very seedy establishment. Thieves. Holes in the bathroom. Horrible food and zero options. I’m not the only person this has happened to. Do your research they even have reviews for bugs in their rooms. Please do your research beforehand. Don’t find out the way I did. I also have pictures to support all I am saying. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!!!!

There is not an elevator so that’s disappointing. The lighting in the rooms are horrible. You have to turn on all the lights and angle them so you can see. It’s located ina great area and the rooms are comfy. Just those couple of things that would make it better.

We love this hotel, it's our third visit. But we had cold showers every day due to a problem with their hot water system. It's strange that the rooms don't come with a safe. And many of the rooms have a bath only with a hand shower attachment, which again is a little bit strange. The area is fantastic, the staff are lovely, and the rooms are beautiful to sit in.. We will come back again although I hope next time they fix the hot water!

Our stay at the Hotel Thoumieux was nothing short of amazing. The hotel staff was EXTREMELY kind/helpful (all spoke good English). They made our stay amazing! The rooms were just as cute and cozy as they look online, and the hotel is central to so many amazing sites. We walked everywhere, including the Eiffel Tower (10-ish min walk), and all the great Museums (15-20-ish min walk). It's in a very safe area, and we felt totally fine walking around at night. The restaurant downstairs had the best food we tried our entire week there. We will 100% be coming back to this same place!

This property put us in a shock on how up to date they were. The location was awesome!! Right outside our window was a local bakery. Also on this main street was a lot of local stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. Down the street was a farmer market. The hotel had some high-end amenities like an iPhone and Apple Tablet that you can take with you and use. They were fully functional and had their apps on it with maps, uber, and excursions to take. The shower could fit two people and very relaxing. Would highly recommend. The connected restaurant was awesome as well. Was able to meet the chef and got pictures with him.

The decor was very Parisian and had great street views of the Eiffel Tower but a few things to note. The room I stayed in was VERY dark. Not enough lighting at all. Even with all of the lights on. There is no elevator in the building. Restaurant is a Michelin Star restaurant so may not appeal to all. There is however, a very nice bakery across the street and a delicious Italian restaurant around the corner. I wouldn’t stay here again but it was a nice experience being so close to the Eiffel Tower

I had a lovely stay here until I realized I brought bed bugs home with me from the hotel. Having never been exposed to bed bugs before, I didn't check the beds there or think much of it when I left the hotel with a few bug bites. However, after being home for two days, I was covered in bites.
Then I found a bed bug nymph (a baby bed bug) in my home shortly after I returned from this hotel in Paris. Terminix came and confirmed I had an early stage bed bug infestations and that the timing lined up with my visit to this hotel in Paris.
I did a little research and found that this hotel had bed bugs just a few months earlier. It is written about in another Trip Advisor review and covered in a Page Six article - just Google it.
When I reached out to the hotel to inquire if they had bed bugs, they ignored me for days. I sent 3 emails and had to contact Hotels.com to intervene before I received a response from the hotel, in which they dismissed my concerns and refused a refund saying that I hadn't complained about this soon enough.
But bed bugs don't work that way. According to the CDC, bed bug bites can take up to 14 days to show up so it's possible to get them and not notice you have the for several days or weeks: https://www.cdc.gov/parasites/bedbugs/faqs.html. In addition, 30-40% of the population don't have any reaction to bed bug bites so some people don't even show any symptoms.

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at this hotel. We were only staying one night but the rooms were very nice and the staff was very accomodating. We arrived early evening and the staff was able to get us a reservation st Sylvester that same night which was an amazing culinary experience. The only downfall of this hotel I could see was not having an elevator. The stairs and steep and narrow and it was uncomfortable to bring heavy suitcases up and down. Overall great hotel with amazing dining options.

I had one night in Paris. Great location i walked to eiffel tower, champs d'elysse, arc de triumphe, louvre, notre dame, and everything in between those main attractions. close to the seine river to see or go on boat rides and eating or drinking places. cell phone in room was great to use, wish it gave off a wifi hotspot to use my normal phone with all my apps and info on it though.

Great location, short walk to the Effiel tower or the Metro for everything else and a laundry right around the corner, best included breakfast I’ve ever had, with the option to upgrade the breakfast to so much amazing food you can’t eat it all, in a 2 Michelin star restaurant. We had the smallest room in the hotel and by North American standards it is barely bigger than a closet and certainly the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. But after a day it didn’t matter, we found we fit just fine, we had everything you get in every other hotel room except a lot of space.They have larger rooms you just have to be willing to spend more.

the location of this hotel is amazing. the hotel is old but very clean. the only thing I wish they had an elevator to bring the luggages down as we had to carry them through a narrow sets of stairs and it would be quite difficult for an older person. the location of the hotel is outstanding. beautiful neighborhood with excellent coffee and restaurants. great value for the money. This is THE most irritating and gimmacky hotel. It is trying to be super cool but has totally ruined the character of the place. There is not lift and there are loads of narrow stairs - including a flight of stairs up to the reception. There is no room to walk around the bed - let alone open a suitcase. And the sink is in the tiny bedroom. They charged me twice for my room and were not apologetic. All in all a take-advantage of the customer hotel.
