From the moment we arrived, she was rude and unwelcoming. Although I had already paid for the hotel online, she insisted on making a copy of my credit card, which made me uncomfortable and was not clearly explained.
When we asked for recommendations for nearby restaurants, she was unhelpful and dismissive, which added to the negative experience.
Fortunately, later during our stay, we were assisted by another staff member—an older gentleman who was extremely polite, professional, and welcoming. He provided excellent customer service and truly made up for the earlier unpleasant interaction. His kindness and professionalism significantly improved our overall impression of the hotel.
I hope this feedback is helpful, as customer service plays a major role in a guest’s experience.

Everything was good, but the check-in experience was terrible. The hotel staff, a Black woman, seemed unable to find my booking information during check-in. When I tried to show her my booking details on my phone, she looked at me with an angry expression and said nothing. I was scared by her reaction and tried to be nice, asking if I had done anything wrong and apologizing if I had. She still said nothing and just stared at me. I reiterated that I only wanted to show her my booking information. After she gave me my room key, she told me I was a bit rude. That was a terrible experience.

We have recently returned from staying four nights at Hotel Amelie and we definitely picked the right hotel, from the friendly welcome by John on reception (funny guy) to the clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, really good shower with plenty of hot water and to our surprise a kettle in the room which came in handy and a fridge for our milk. We were on the 2nd floor so didn't struggle with our hand luggage but would advise any disabilities you may struggle to get up to the higher floors. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the Eiffel Tower is within walking distance and really beautiful to see all lit up at night, we really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend and if we did come back would definitely stay here again.. They also offer breakfast meals downstairs in their dining area. Very cozy and comfortable place. Definitely will return. And definitely recommend.

The entire stay period. The room was extremely small, barely had space to turn without stepping right into the bathroom, there was cub webs on the corners of the windows when you open it. There was a heavy smell in the room, couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but it aggravated my asthma & allergies. I was a bit disappointed & had to book a different hotel, costing me more money than planned. The afternoon staff was very kind & accommodating. I also have disabilities which restricts my walking & heavy lifting, & we had to carry our luggages upstairs. The staff told us, that was the policy & we should have stated it on the form, but he stilled helped us with some of the bags. I won’t book it again, neither will I deal with Expedia again, because this made booking this trip HELL!!!!!!

The street got a little loud in the early hours of the morning (3am-4am), it sounded like deliveries to the nearby businesses, but we were expecting that due to the central location.

This was a great hotel for the price. Staff was friendly, location was excellent, all spaces were spotless. I’d say the only thing that was a bummer was that the stairs were narrow and steep so if bringing a lot of luggage or if you have problems with stairs this might be something to keep in mind.

The hotel is quaint with some fun decor, located in a great neighborhood where we could easily walk to some of the tourist things we had on our agenda! It also was easy to get public transportation. There were lovely dining and bakery options nearby, shopping. The hotel was clean our room although very small and we couldn't open our room door or bathroom door all the way due to some furniture, everything was comfortable, clean, and thoughtful! Thoughtful! Bathroom was great. A well-working shower. The room is as you would expect in an older building and section of Paris, we just enjoyed the quaint nature and didn't spend our time in Paris hanging out in our room. Anyway! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in giving us suggestions and or answering our questions! Great stay!

A great location for landmarks, dining, shops and one amazing bakery around the corner. The staff was great and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again. You can easily get to tour bus stops, the train station, or grab a taxi. Remember one thing coming from the US tho, the rooms are smaller than what we are used to. But the way we look at it the rooms for sleeping, not to spend your days on vacation in.

A very nice small hotel. We only stayed one night but it served us really well. The room was small, but just right. The bed was comfortable; we slept 9 hours. The shower was nice. We loved the window, looking out on the street below, the Hotel Amelie sign right next to it. It was a challenge to haul our suitcases up the spiral stairs, but we managed. The desk staff was very accommodating and watched our bags both before check in and after we checked out.

My room was so cozy and absolutely gorgeous! The staff was very friendly and helpful too. The hotel is in a great spot. Laundromat, groceries, AMAZING restaurants and the bus are a minute's walk away. The blackout curtains were a nice convenience. I purchased their continental breakfast my last day- what a treat! The fresh breads, meats, cheeses, and juices were really amazing!

David… we are a family of 5… i booked 2 rooms.. and i was told only 4 can accomodate… and i asked what can we do for us to stay in 1 hotel… he told nithing you can do only 4 is allowed.. and there is no room available.. right away i booked 1 room in another hotel.. then i found out there is 1 room available for single.. i have to pay 2x the price in another hotel. and the bad thing was we were separated.

My adult twins and I stayed at this boutique hotel for 4 days in a single and a twin room on the 4th floor and enjoyed our stay. Yes, there is no elevator, no AC, and the rooms are smaller than chain hotels. However, the staff are friendly, fun to talk with, and made helpful recommendations. The stairway is lovely and painted with literary quotes, and we enjoyed being able to open windows and use fans. The bathrooms are updated and clean, and the rooms are decorated with cute themes and are comfortable.The neighborhood is very quiet, safe, and convenient. We hope to come back again soon and will definitely choose this boutique hotel when we do.

The thoughtful placement of hooks and hangers made quick washing/drying easy on my very minimal packing trip. Thanks for a lovely stay. Around 10 min walk to the tower and located on the south side of the river. My room was on the 3rd floor and no lift. But room was clean and comfortable, shower hot and the staff on reception 24x7 were friendly & helpful. I stayed 3 nights on business and was very happy.

This hotel is very small, the room is ultra small. If you’re traveling with two large suitcases good luck getting them to fit inside room. There isn’t any room around the bed to move around or feel comfortable. There is no elevator or air condition. The room was clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. This hotel would be adequate for someone staying a couple of nights traveling with backpacks and doesn’t mind sleeping in a hot room. Luckily we left before the heatwave!! The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Hotel is a small multi-floored building converted into a hotel. I walk with a cane and did not know until I was there that there was no lift, only stairs. Receptionist apologised for inconvenience but left me to carry my own bag up 8 flights of stairs. Also in effort to cram an en suite in the fixtures were so close to the wall I had to slide into the bathroom between the doorframe and the sink
