We stayed in the Superior Room (Marquise) with Eiffel Tower side view for 5 nights, and it ended up being my biggest regret of the trip. I only booked this hotel because it was a last-minute trip and it was one of the few decent options left. From the moment we arrived, the front desk interaction felt uncomfortable. The agent (a man who appeared to be in his mid-to-late 40s or early 50s wearing glasses) came across as condescending during check-in. Shortly after arriving in the room, I called to ask if slippers were available since there weren’t any in the room. I was told they’re only offered in premium rooms, and the way this was said felt unnecessarily condescending and belittling. Within about an hour we returned to find the bathroom ceiling leaking, soaking the floor. When I went downstairs as requested after calling to report it, the same staff member responded with hostility, stating the hotel was fully booked even though I hadn’t asked to change rooms. We were moved for one night while repairs were done. He also added, in a very condescending and belittling manner, that it was “a very nice room.” Ironically, it was the Junior Suite with Eiffel Tower front view, which I’d have gladly booked had it been available. Because the front desk sits at the entrance, we had to pass the same staff member every time we came or left, making the stay consistently uncomfortable. Between the leaking ceiling and the front desk experience, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

Visiting Paris for the first time. Stay here! It's romantic, quiet, and clean. Many pictures from this hotel show the Eiffel Tower. The guest service folks were very helpful to my husband and me, and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from, as well as the Aldi supermarket. Get yourself a bottle of champagne to take back to your room or on your walk to see the tower. Don't be like me, searching for the best hotel and location. This is the right location for the price!

My stay at Hôtel La Comtesse Tour Eiffel was absolutely wonderful and truly Parisian in every sense. From the moment you arrive, the hotel feels elegant, warm, and perfectly located—just steps away from the Eiffel Tower, with stunning views that make every moment feel special.

The rooms are beautifully designed, cozy yet refined, and waking up to the Eiffel Tower in the background is simply unforgettable. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully curated, making the stay feel luxurious but still very welcoming.

One of my favorite parts was breakfast—delicious, fresh, and served in a charming setting with large windows looking out onto the Parisian streets. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm, stylish, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city.

The staff was kind, attentive, and professional, always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience even better.

Our room was amazing!! I had wanted to open the balcony windows on my anniverary and see the Eiffel Tour standing large and it was all that I could have hoped for! After spending days walking and walking around Paris it was wonderful to just sit on our balcony with our view and picnic - all day and night. Well worth the lavish expense!

Beautiful boutique hotel minutes from the Eiffel Tower, and restaurants, many rooms with tower view. Some rooms are smaller than others so notice before booking. The staff is welcoming and accommodating.

Staying here was a dream. We had two rooms, one with a balcony but both amazing Eiffel Tower views. The hotel was very clean and staff was great. The room with the balcony did have a little bit of a musty smell like maybe the carpet got wet and it didn’t dry out properly or maybe because the hotel is older it just had a smell. But over all it was very clean and had that Parisian aesthetic. Rooms were tiny but we weren’t really in the room and it’s no different than a new York hotel room. Overall I would 100% stay here again.

The worst experience of my life!
The staff are incredibly rude — especially Ana! We’ve travelled a lot and stayed at many nice hotels, but we have never experienced anything like this.

From the moment we arrived, the greeting was rude and full of attitude. She wouldn’t even look up or smile when we walked in or out. At the end of our stay, when I asked for my bag, she ignored me the first time because she was “fixing” something. I had to ask again, and she handed me the bag in a rude way. I literally had to tell her, “It’s okay to smile at your guests!”

Worst experience ever! We paid almost $1,000 for this hotel and this is the service we received.

If you’re not happy with your job, don’t work there! I see that other people had similar issues with the staff’s attitude, and based on the hotel’s responses, it’s clear they don’t care. It’s probably the same girl behind the laptop replying to everyone, lol. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

As for the so-called “view,” you’ll see the Eiffel Tower from countless angles all over Paris. From our room, the view wasn’t even good — definitely not worth the price.

View is worth every penny

We were in the junior suite with the front facing Eiffel Tower view and it really is jaw dropping when you walk into the room and see it complete with a little balcony. We loved being able to watch the tower light up at night for the light show. The corner is very quiet and with the blackout curtains we had no issues with noise or light. The room is very large for Parisian standards, especially the bathroom featuring a very big and deep bathtub. The hotel is a short walk to the tower and gardens as well as a metro stop. We had a great time! Expensive but worth the splurge in our opinion.

Great place to stay if you would like to be near the Eiffel Tower and have tower views. We were fortunate to be on the 5th floor. The 5th and 6th floors have balcony you can sit on. The 1st-3rd floor have French balcony you can look out from. The lady at the front desk that greeted us was very kind and helpful. We only stayed briefly, but our experience at Hôtel La Comtesse was overwhelmingly positive. The staff were warm, welcoming, and consistently helpful—from greeting us with friendly smiles to allowing us to check into one of our rooms early since it was already available. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The only issue we encountered was that I accidentally left behind a couple of jackets, which I’m currently working with the front desk to retrieve. Aside from that, everything was wonderful and we truly appreciated the hospitality.

Having previously stayed at hotels on the right bank, Hotel Comtesse has made us believers in Rive Gauche. Truly can’t say enough about the location. Easy, quick walk to many key sites, and why not when you get to cross Paris’s most beautiful bridge, Pont Alexandre III. We are very low maintenance guests so we didn’t have much interaction with staff but the reception staff are très gentils. We walked all of St Germaine de Prés from the hotel. The view of Eiffel Tower is unmatched!! A delight every night! We didn’t have the breakfast but if we had stayed one more day we would have. It looked so lovely! If you stay here, do yourself a favor and walk 4 minutes to Milagro for dinner…food is absolutely to die for, and staff make you feel like family. Way better than anything we had on Rue Cler (but definitely go to Rue Cler for the little shops and the artisanal Boulanger). We will definitely stay here again.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel Hotel La Comtesse, Paris. After reviewing the details on Hotels.com, I booked expecting certain amenities, including air conditioning. Unfortunately, we were not provided with AC during our stay, despite our request for at least nighttime access. Instead, we were advised to open the windows, which resulted in significant noise from traffic and voices, making it difficult for us to sleep properly.

This experience has been quite upsetting.

Hôtel La Comtesse is a very nice petite hotel within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. It also has amazing views of the tower from the room - we chose the side view which made you open the window to see the tower. They have rooms facing the tower so if looking the tower from your bed, must book one the rooms with direct view. However, the view from the side is worth it too. The rooms might be small but the views and convenience to walk to restaurants, public transportation and shopping, makes up for the small room. Rue Cler is a street with a lot of local dinning options and is about 5 mins walk.

We had a great view amazing staff and very nice neighborhood and the breakfast was amazing with great coffee and grapefruit and hands and cheese and I’ve seen people just come here to eat, even if they’re not staying at the hotel at the hotel was located at a really nice neighborhood. We had One of the best cheese, champagne caviar for that we ever tried while traveling in Europe to ever come back to Paris. I’ll definitely stay here once again again.

Every member of the staff in the hotel and restaurant were exceedingly kind and helpful, adding so much to our stay. I loved the decor in the reception area. The location is fantastic and it is easy to get around by foot or via metro. Our room was rather bland in its appearance, but we loved seeing the tower from our windows so much. Housekeeping didn’t change our sheets at all during our 6 nights there. I don’t know if this is a European thing or not.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, with two large windows to open, and a perfect view of the tower. We highly recommend.

Excellent location and views

Visited Paris for few days and location was excellent. Great neighborhood and nice view of the Eiffel Tower from balcony. Everyone at front desk was nice annd helpful. Got suggestions for places to eat in the area. Looking forward to our next trip and stay again at La Comtesse..
