Pros in a day

The front staff is fluent in a few languages for us they spoke perfect English we could understand and they could understand us. So it was nice to practice their language knowing if we messed up they would help us in English lol

And I couldn’t belive you can walk safely to the Eiffel Tower and the river. hop on a river taxi and hit so many landmarks not to mention all the clean and delicious variety of restaurants in and around a two block area you like Starbucks there’s one down at the corner I think only one in miles lol

I recently stayed at this adorable hotel and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—even offering to carry my bags up to the room, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and having a private bathroom was a definite plus. The location couldn’t be better—close to everything and perfect for exploring the city. Good free internet too!
That said, the room itself was quite small, and getting to it involved navigating a narrow spiral staircase, which might be tricky for some travelers. The bathroom was compact but manageable; however, the shower was exceptionally tiny, which could be a challenge for taller/larger guests.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall charm and hospitality made for a delightful stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy, well-located place with a personal touch.

Over,all this place was a great room, with a great location. There were multiple restaurants around that were great; the staff was great. Breakfast was not worth the price in my opinion; it was mostly bread with spreads for 10 euros. The only other thing is our room was directly onto the shared patio so we had to keep our blinds closed the entire time, and there was quite a bit of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Staff was super great though with 24/7 reception and super friendly I would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely skip this hotel, please.

I paid $700 for 2 nights. Skip this hotel, please. There is no elevator. The stairs are only 2 feet wide and unsafe. There is only a single bed available, and too small, uncomfortable, possibly has bed bugs. The reception staff were not friendly. I used the tissue box at the desk to clean my friend's hair because of the rain; they said you have a box in your room. Hidden charges. I paid hotel.com, and they charged 25 euros for tax. They charged 12 euros at checkout for 4 coffees I used at the hall.

Overall a very enjoyable experience when visiting on a budget. Staff is very helpful. The room is small and cozy, I only used the room for sleep and hygiene, I stayed outside most of the time. Very close walk to Eiffel Tower and Hotel des Invalides. Close to many local restaurants and shops, as well as big chain stores. The only major problem that I found is that there is 4 floors, and one very tight spiral staircase. No elevator. Cleanliness is great, only saw minor inconveniences when it came to cleanliness.
WiFi is available. Would absolutely recommend to someone traveling on a budget.

This hotel is in such disrepair, the photos on Expedia are not representative of the dismal state of the rooms. The sink was barely hanging on to the wall, the walls were stained and the rooms were tiny. We listened to our neighbour in the next room snore all night like they were in the room with us. I would have said a backpacker might like it but the room rate is too high. We left after a day. Worst hotel I’ve booked and feel duped by the hotel and their pics.

Luckily, i got the first floor because of issue on the original room which is in the 4th floor or they call it 3rd floor in Paris( as 0 is the ground floor). This hotel is a SCAM. I booked for 2 nights and I couldn’t and didn’t even spend one night there. Immediately I checked in a saw the room i knew I had been scammed. This hotel is equivalent to a ran down motel or hostel. From the color paint used on the walls to the moldy bathroom. The place is digusting and I’m sure it should be at risk oh a health code violation

During our 3 night stay the wifi was out on a few occasions. Although inconvenient, the staff offered their own hot spot if required for check in etc.

Relatively cheap hotel within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysées. The hotel is small and is on several floors with no lift and a narrow staircase. Ok for me but older or less mobile people might struggle. I had room number 5 which is small but ok for a few nights. There is an intermittent noise from the water pump or something above the room which might bother some people. The bathroom is very small and the shower cubicle is so small I am suprised they even make them. If you drop something, you need to get out of the shower to pick it up. The shower controls also stick out in such a way that it is easy to knock the lever all the way to hot or cold while you shower if you are not careful. I knocked it to hot a couple of times and there is nowhere to hide if you do. And it is VERY hot. But would I stay there again? Yes I would for a few nights. Worth it for the location and the pleasant staff. The breakfast is basic continental but sufficient. Overall a pleasant enough experience.

The property is on the older side but location is great!. Walking distance to the Tour Eiffel and close to metro ( subway) and bus stops. Super easy ride to other places like Notre Dame and the Louvre. The room was small and dated. Painting peeling in the bathroom tiles and needed a good deep cleaning, but was good enough for a few days and had air conditioning, apparently a rare commodity in Paris ( believe me you need AC even if it is mild outside. Rooms in buildings will get hot otherwise.
Breakfast was a blunder. We had breakfast there on our last day for convenience, since we were leaving to the airport early, it is best described as continental, but by the time we got to it there was little left over, just a few pastries and some bread and coffee. There was an orange juice machine but no oranges. For 15 euros per person it was a rip off. There is a cafe just around the corner that is way better for breakfast.

This hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the metro, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, Rue Cler, and many restaurants/cafes! The staff was nice and was always available to help when I had a question (English Speaking). The room was quiet and comfortable- basic- but when you are exploring a wonderful city, basic is all you need! The room matched the photos very well. As a solo traveler, the street that it was on (and the surrounding area) was not very well lit and did not support staying out late. Be mindful that this hotel does not have an elevator. I was impressed with the survey from the hotel sent ahead of time to ask about me as an individual but perplexed because none of the information I gave seemed to present itself in my stay.

Please give an option for a zero star and if possible take this hotel off Expedia. It’s not even a motel and a big safety issue for anyone staying. I booked it for four days, I checked in and checked out in an hour. Safety issue, gave me a room on fourth floor with no elevators and stairs are shaky and old and very narrow and fourth floor is very high. Room two people can’t even move, I didn’t even fit in the shower. Very dirty and stairs are very dangerous. I know the price I paid was less but this is the worst like I wouldn’t have minded if two of us could at least fit in the room. And the stairs are so dangerous you can’t even walk yourself forget about carrying the luggage. I checked out in one hour.

I was charged extra at the property without any proper explanation. I was supposed to pay 287€ but charged 311€ instead. The rooms were very small and the AC was extremely noisy. There was a liquor store nearby that was open after midnight, hence the street was also extremely noisy all night. Overall, not worth the money. There are many hotels like this available in the area at half the price.

This hotel was in a great location. Easy walk to the train station and Paris Landmarks. There was a Starbucks around the corner and a few blocks away was an area that had a beautiful area for shopping and eating. Just search Aldis and it will lead you there which was also a great place to get cheap water and snacks.
Downside: no lift and the stairs are tiny and narrow. Shower is only 2x2 and we had to navigate the shower head not to spill on the floor while getting in.

Very very basic room. It was clean. There is no lift and very very steep unsafe stairs. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Staff was friendly. See Note but Lovely hotel. Small room but very clean. Tiny bathroom. Shower was small and I kept bumping the mixer tap (I am of a slender build) Lovely and hot water! Great location. 10 mins to Invalidés and La Tour-Moubourg metro stops. Lots of boulangeries in the area. All delicious and nice. Restaurants are close by. Rue Cler is only a few blocks away and that is wonderful. Only downside was the bed i personally had was very uncomfortable. But with the amount of walking I did I just passed out asleep but 1 out of 10 stars for the bed.

Staff were lovely!

Note - City Taxes were payable on top of my Expedia payment. €20 for 4 nights.

And you are expected to leave your room key with the staff each time you left.

If it wasn’t for the bed. I would happily stay here again.

Travelled to Paris for a 4 night stay. Chose the Malar because of its location which is close to the Eiffel Tower and river in the 7th arr, and other attractions. Friendly staff, clean room with en-suite, tea & coffee making facilities. Bonus is the fact there is a Starbucks just round the corner. Looking forward to our next visit, thanks. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff was very pleasant! The room was small and there are no lifts so you have a few stairs to climb. However, the room was clean and the hotel is walkable to all the major attractions. Dining options were available and I highly recommend the Italian spot 2 buildings down.

The room was quite small which is to be expected for many Paris hotels, but being 6’5” it was quite difficult to use the shower in our standard room. However it was a pleasant stay.

A quaint boutique style hotel a very short walk from the Eiffel Tower. Hôtel was nice with excellent service, my room was smaller but met my needs, the shower was very small. Overall the hotel was clean, but starting to show its age…. There is no lift and carring your luggage upstairs may be a challenge for some.. does offer breakfast, several excellent restaurants and cafes a short walk away. The Eiffel Tower is a 5 minute or less walk away, lots of excitement views of the tower. The hotel was a good value, met my needs and I would stay here again.

The Expedia listing did not reveal that the hotel has no elevator. This created an unhealthy situation given my mobility issues. The room was extremely small and the shower even smaller. The breakfast included low quality meat, cheese and bread and quantities were not replaced when consumed.
