Great location, though a little tough to find the entrance. We walked by the door a few times not knowing it was there. Staff were so kind, and the room was comfortable. The building is a little older but it felt clean. Breakfast was also a nice touch - in a beautiful room!

The room was spotless and large and the staff are really friendly. The breakfast was great, with delicious sfogliatelle for a Neapolitan touch. The only bad point is the entrance is not what I expected. I did have to wear earplugs because it is on Neaples' busiest street and we were there on a Saturday night, so there was noice outside. But that also means the location is great for sight seeing.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The common areas are very dated and could really use some renovation. The room itself was fine for a short stay, but the overall look of the hotel feels old. That said, the location is perfect and makes it very easy to explore the city on foot. If location is your priority, this hotel works well for a quick stay.

We requested an early check in and were pleased to get one. The young lady at the desk was very pleasant and gave us a lot of information. The room was comfortable with everything you need. We had a half balcony on the side of the building. The breakfast was great and was in a large ballroom. The one thing I will mention is that the entrance to the hotel is through a very large graffiti covered door. Once inside it’s not obvious where the hotel is as it is the back of a restaurant and a couple other businesses. There is a small elevator and we asked a gentleman which floor the rooms were on. He says three…it wasn’t, we tried two…not there, finally one. My only complaint is to have more signage to make it clearer coming in the hotel. I would recommend.

This was a great place right on Toledo Ave with lots of shopping and food options. The staff were very nice, elevator worked and was \"free\", 24 hour desk service, help with ordering taxi, AC worked. I would recommend this place to travelers. My only suggestion is that the lighting in the bathroom was very dim so not great for getting ready in the morning.

Our experience at this hotel was very pleasant. The location is excellent — close to shops, markets, and all the main cultural sights. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room itself was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety to choose from.

The hotel could use a bit of an update, especially in the outside lobby areas, where some extra cleaning and maintenance would improve the overall impression. However, the room and bathrooms were spotless, and we had a great stay overall.

I especially loved how convenient it was to everything, and I would definitely return.

Really enjoyed our stay - room was clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff and good breakfast. Excellent location for the Spanish Quarter and very close to the Toledo Metro, so easy transit to Garabaldi/Centrale train station for trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Just note that signage for the hotel is poor, the reception is at first floor level after entering the building through so large metal gates on Via Toledo. But I would gladly stay there again

Once you step through the little green door, all the noise and anxiety is gone. The room was so spacious for our family of four. The breakfast was amazing and the dining area looks like a palace. Perfect location, walking distance to the port or to all the shops and restaurants in the Spanish Quarter. Highly recommend!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is well located for sites but its on Via Toledo so there will be a lot of external noise. Room was OK but air conditioning not plugged in, window filthy and looking out on scaffolding so it wasn't safe to leave open. Throughout the building, wires sticking out of walls and the place looked unfinished and tired. Lobby area includes tatty and broken furniture (the arms come with you when you get out of the chairs). Breakfast is disappointing - you have to ask for a coffee, the staff may not offer anything better than than tepid brown stuff in a flask. Limited selection of breakfast items, especially fruit, (and no labels).

Unica pecca ma abbastanza ovvia è la non perfetta insonorizzazione della stanza. È un palazzo d’epoca che affaccia in via Toledo, finestre con doppi infissi ma ovviamente il brusio si sente. Altra cosa, nella nostra stanza aprendo la finestra il parapetto era molto basso, pensando a un bambino che può sporgersi potrebbe essere pericoloso. Probabilmente il personale avvertirà di questo le famiglie con bambini piccoli ma è bene menzionarlo.

Overall a good property. VERY HARD TO FIND. IT is on a busy pedestrian street. NO signage and be hind a very large steel door. If a shop keeper did not tell us where it was, we would have never found it. It is on the second and third floor of the building. You have to go outside for stairs or a tiny elevator.

It is located a 1/2 block from the Toledo metro station. Good breakfast..

We had a problem with reservation. Tried cancelling one day. The request was made within 24 hours of making the reservation. Niether Expedia or the Hotel would help.

There’s a lot to say about Napolit’amo. A lot has already been mentioned in previous reviews. The staff is excellent and truly helpful, with great restaurant recommendations. The area is quite busy; on the weekends crowds felt like a major sporting event crowd all day and all evening. Restaurants were packed with long lines. While it didn’t feel unsafe, I wouldn’t want to experience it again. The weekdays were so much better; popular but manageable. The actual street the hotel is on doesn’t allow cars, so taxis need to drop you a block away. There is a major subway stop very close by. The hotel entrance is subtle so you NEED the address to find it. Breakfast spread was nice. My room, 102, was a loft style. The room had very high ceilings and so they built the bedroom up on a second story with a staircase to climb. While the separation of space is nice for a couple, I wouldn’t want to stay in that room again as a solo traveler and have to use stairs anytime I needed the bathroom for showers or middle of the night visits. I’d happily stay on weekdays if not booked in that room. The location is close to many sights.

Excellent location, it took us a while to find it bc the signage is very small on a wall not even facing the street, the entrance was behind a large metal door covered in graffiti we would have never thought the hotel was behind the door, we had to get buzzed in to enter, buzzed in to enter our room floor, lights are kept off and only turn on with movement in the hall very eerie. Beds were hard. Room was clean and so was the bathroom. staff very friendly.

Great hotel that's located within a building complex. You need to walk through the door on the street into the courtyard, the hotel front desk is located on the 1st floor. The woman at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. My mom and I only stayed one night but it was still a great experience. There is breakfast available in the morning, and the location is perfect as it is centrally located in the Toledo district, so there are a lot of shops around the area. The metro is located a block away which makes getting around super convenient.

There needs to be directions on how to enter the hotel prior to arrival! It’s on a super busy street, taxis can not drive down this street, there hard to see doorbell to get into a suspect back alley that you take an elevator to a hotel. It’s very hidden and didn’t feel safe. Naples all around was a poor experience and would not recommend staying overnight just go straight to the ferry port! The food was TERRIBLE at all dining experiences off Main Street.

It was our first time in Naples, which can appear a little rough and this hotel is right in the middle of the action. Our room had a balcony overlooking a busy pedestrian street but the room kept out the noise it it was great to see everything from the balcony. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the port. The neighborhood is great for waking around and there is a mix of shops, restaurants and apartments. Loved the high ceilings in our room and the staff was super nice-especially Daria.

We didn’t get to stay at the property as our flight was cancelled and rescheduled for the next evening. We let the hotel know that we wouldn’t be arriving that evening, using Expedia messaging service, however would still require the room for the following 2 nights.
However, they WhatsApp messaged me a few hours before our rescheduled flight the next day to say they could no longer accommodate our booking and had booked us into another hotel. They assured us that the new hotel were okay with our late arrival (estimated 11.30pm).

As we were about to go to the gate and would arrive in Naples around 11pm I didn’t feel we were in a position to refuse the alternative accommodation and try to book somewhere ourselves.
As it happens the new hotel check in closed at 11pm (shortly after we landed). I had to message both parties, the staff member who’d been messaging me from hotel napolitamo called the new hotel and asked them to wait so we weren’t stranded in Naples in the middle of the night with our luggage. The new hotel was messaging me every few minutes hurrying us along - unfortunately I had no control over how long it took the airline to give us our baggage.

Upon arrival at the new hotel, which was further than the airport that Hotel Napolitamo, they charged us a €20 ‘late check in fee’ and they don’t do breakfast. We had breakfast booked with Hotel Napolitamo.
All in all it was a pretty dismal affair and we were not offered even a partial refund.

Tips to find the hotel

The hotel is in a convenient location on Via Toledo. Steps from the Toledo subway stop, restaurants and shopping.
We walked to the Archeological Museum (it’s a bit of a distance but we enjoy walking)

The room was spacious compared to others we’ve stay in Europe. The floor was done in large tiles that were clean and cool.

One BIG note to others: the entrance to the hotel is not easy to find. Look for very large (think delivery truck passage) green doors just to the right of the Lush store and a bakery. When we were there, a bit of white graffiti was sprayed on them.

There is a “people” door cut into one of the large doors. On that wall, ther is a button to press next to a small placard that has the hotel name. They will buzz you in.
After that, walk to the elevator and the reception is on the 2nd floor.

If you arrive by taxi they need to drop you around the corner because Via Toledo has traffic restrictions.

The breakfast is amazing and the dining room is equally as wonderful.

We walked to the port with our rolling suitcases to get our ferry. If you take a cab, it takes twice as long. A 15 minute walk, partially downhill was very easy. We walked it the day before to get our tickets and to make sure we knew where we were going.

This hotel is a great value and very nice for the price.

Excellent location within a very short walking distance to the metro stops, which take you to the train station in a few minutes. Good breakfast. Fantastic location on main shopping street. Here there was the best streatfood and best pizza in Naples. It's not luxurious, but great value for money, so I definitely recommend it to anyone.

In the middle of the action!

This hotel is so conveniently located in the perfect spot! Just a building away from the subway, across the street from a ton of restaurants in the Spanish Quarter and the coast (where most of the tourist spots are) is just down the same street the hotel is on, walking distance). Even though this hotel is not a pick up spot for many tours, it's a 5 to 10 minute walk to most pick up points. There is a grocery store 2 blocks back on one of the streets running ong the side of the hotel (windmill side).

The hotel is on a street that is very popular with locals and has a vibrant life both in the day and at night but can't hear any of the sound from our room unless we open up the windows. A ton of retail, gelato, pastry, coffee and food-to-go shops.

The breakfast was very tasty with a big selection to choose from. Amazing breakfast pastries as mentioned in other reviews. The room breakfast was served in made us feel fancy.

My room had a leak on the Shower wall, and also in the AC.
The staff offer more Towels to help with the leak, and I said that didn’t want towels,but wanted to change to another room.

The room Seems to be unfinished, but was ok if it wasn't the lake problem.

The best cakes in Naples

Locationwise this hotel is right in the middle of the semi-pedestrianised shopping area: semi-pedestrianised because you have to watch out for the police cars and carabinierie patrolling up and down the Via Toledo. The hotel would have been sumptuous when first built and the breakfast room still retains the charm of an earlier age with its rich drapes, ornate mirrors and high ceiling. Coming into the hotel is daunting because you have to go through a tiny door, part of huge, thick, metal gates, then cross a dingy courtyard and up stone steps to the first floor. The breakfast room is on the floor above, entailing another climb up the stone steps. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. We were well looked after by a delightful young woman, Rosaria (Rosie), who was so sweet and proudly told us she had made the cakes herself. They were all fantastic, moist and very light (coffee, apricot, lemon, strawberry, orange, apple, choc chip!): the best cakes in Naples. Rosie was superb suggesting places to go and what to see. As well as Rosie the other staff were also friendly and helpful. My room was basic but spotlessly clean and despite the high ceiling it stayed warm. Be warned if you have a car: the hotel does not have its own car park and we had to pay 25 euros per night to park securely nearby. This makes a stay in this reasonably priced hotel extortionately expensive.

I initially had a difficult time pinpointing the exact location of the hotel since there wasn’t a massive sign with its name, but once I did find it all was well. For those booking here, it’s right next to the Toledo metro station before the Geox store. The entrance is at the tall green doors.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to the Toledo metro station although you may not really need it. I was able to walk to all my desired destination, except Pompei of course.

Breakfast at the hotel was really good, but in case you’re looking for a great pasta spot, check out the sea front di martino pasta bar - it’s to die for.

very centrally located. 30 seconds from Toledo metro stn. Tricky to find. You need to access via large green door across from Pandora. Then, up one flight of stairs. Very nicely maintained. Breakfast room was opulent. All staff were very professional and welcoming. Room was cute. King bed was in a loft. More suited for those who can handle stairs to hotel, to room, and to breakfast room. No complaints. Heard some noise from outside, but it is a hotel in central part of large city. Very nice stay.

Great value central hotel with a lovely breakfast

Not the easiest place to find on a Sunday when the large doors are closed, that said it is in such a central location , and such a interesting building, the breakfast was really lovely with so much choice and served in a beautiful room.The rooms themselves were comfortable and really clean, the finishing around sockets wasn’t great and we had a couple fall off and the lights in the bathroom kept dimming whilst we were in the shower, however that didn’t in anyway stop us having a lovely stay. The Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, should I return to naples I would book it again. Great value for money

The hotel entrance is in a courtyard off the Main Street and is in a really excellent location for the old quarter, the port and has access to the Metro within 100 metres...breakfast was included and had a reasonable spread though similar each day

Naples hotel - perfectly fine

Great stay central and close to a train station for us to get to Pompei. We found great restaurants and lots of shops and I thought it a safe authentic part of Naples to stay.
Breakfast is great to and the rooms are spacious and clean. We upgraded our rooms so we stayed in two different rooms while using the hotel on level one - I personally preferred the room with view of street the bed is softer. There is not much difference otherwise.

Excellent location! Only problem was that we couldn't find the hotel to start! The entrance is behind an iron door that has a barely noticeable sign with the hotel's name. Other than this, our stay was great.

Typical Naples Hotel

A basic, clean hotel. Very old building with plenty of character. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast a little disappointing apart from the delicious, fresh home made cakes.
A grand breakfast room - chairs could do with a clean though.
