Central choice right beside Toledo Metro station - there is a lift but not right to hotel entrance so you still have to lift heavy luggage up stairs - room clean and very adequate. Broken balcony door allowed for a little outdoor street noise but nothing drastic.

We were put into a room with a tiny window covered by what can best be described as a prison grid. Asked to speak to the manager but he /she was never present in the hotel .Receptionists were very helpful .I would avoid this hotel

The staff was excellent, the building is hidden behind scaffolding as it is being renovated. The entrance was so frightening looking that I almost cancelled my reservation. It seemed very unsafe outside the hotel. The staff was excellent and compensated for the exterior appearance.

Don't spend your money there - cheap and noisy

First of all, I wonder how this hotel can be rated 4 stars since it looks like a 2 stars near a train station.
The room we booked called \"suite\" is in fact an average room with a shower (not even a bathtub) with no view, on a small courtyard, super dark and with fake old style furniture.
Also, there is a smell in the whole hotel and rooms of cheap synthetic fragrance, absolutely suffocating. The hotel is super noisy, no investment in quiet windows, so you can hear everything from the street nearby, in addition, customers don't have the keys of the building, so people have to ring 3 times : outside the door, down the building, and at the hotel, so the buzzer rings all night until the last client arrive. If you are sensitive to noise, forget it !
In other words, this is a very cheap hotel, pretending to be upscale, but it is not.
The cherry on the cake was that Hotel was under constructions (not specified when booked) workers came on the building site at 5.50 AM in the morning, at my window, super loudly. I asked for a refund because this was unacceptable, the manager refused (even 50% of the night) - so the management consider normal to have clients awaken by people at their window a 5.50 and don't even make a gesture. Forget it, just don't go !

We stayed for 4 nights in this quirky centrally located hotel. We had read it was hard to find so looked at street view pictures before arrival. The hotel promptly provided information about airport transfer options which was very helpful. The room was clean, air conditioned and very secure at night.
The down side would be that the hotel is definitely not suitable for those with mobility difficulties as there are lots of steps and twists. Also as it is really a boutique hotel there are no catering facilities. We paid for breakfast but choice was very limited and not good value for money.

Quaint and comfortable

We were very impressed with the hotel. It was a little difficult to find due to construction going on around it but once you go up the lift and into the hotel we were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel has a beautiful old charm about it and the staff were so accommodating and friendly.

Not a nice place to stay anymore

We stayed at this hotel in 2016 and left a fantastic review saying hospitality was second to none, this is not true anymore. The helpful and hospitable front desk lady has left and that changes the atmosphere at this hotel completely. We were given the most strangest awful hotel room we had ever stayed in with not window in the sleeping area, with stairs going down to the bathroom and a wardrobe where there was a small window looking out to the inside courtyard with no light coming in. It was horrible! We spoke to the front desk lady with shoulder length dark hair (who had an attitude problem! if she didn't want to hear what you were saying she would pretend not to understand and look at you with discontent), requesting another room and were told this was a normal room and there wasn't any others available (we booked in before 12.00 noon). We were offered another room with a window for our last two nights at 75 Euro, we declined and will never return to this hotel.

The hotel is 2 floors up through a scuzzy delapidated hallway with basic lift that doesn’t stop on hotel floor and no cleanliness. Lobby is great but room needs redecorating. Faded paint and awful colour. Other customers noisy at 1am. bed is extremely hard and uncomfortable. Shower is a dribble. Breakfast terrible unless you are okay with museli. Hotel location is difficult. It’s above shops In town and in pedestrian area, no direct drop off. Only good for a one night stop if anything.

Very clean and a convenient location. The staff were friendly and attentive. They arranged a taxi to the airport on our last day, the only issue was it was not very well coordinated: we were at the hotel half an hour before the booking and we had to wait for the taxi driver to call the hotel to say he was ready for us. He called around a quarter of an hour after the booking, which was not a problem for us, but the taxi tried to blame us for being late and wanted to add to the agreed price. All in all, a very nice stay.

Fantastic staff and good location

The hotel is located on a busy street, in close proximity to the Toledo metro station. This is a good hotel if you want to be right in the middle of the action but be prepared to have your sleep interrupted from the noise in the street. The rooms are modern and clean, however, we stayed on the top floor and there wasn’t a window to look out of! This was the only negative. The breakfast is good and the staff are amazing, they can’t do enough to help you. One day they even left some cake in our room!

First time in this Hotel , as mention a good central spot . Lots going on around the hotel with restaurants and snack bars. We have been to Naples many times and could not get into our usual hotel, so we did find this hotel a bit more expensive but smaller rooms . We did enjoy our stay and would recommend it for a few days stay.

Right on Via Toledo this hotel was a good Base to explore the historical area of Naples.

The hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to help.

Breakfast was was a good standard with plenty of cold meats, fruit and pastries just what you would expect for a continental breakfast.

Our room was quiet for all of the outside city noises.

An oasis in the middle of everything

Love it or hate it, one of Napoli's attractions is the controlled chaos on the streets, and there is no better time to experience that than during Christmas when we visited. Via Toledo is ground zero for every Napolitano going shopping or just going for a stroll, and while the hubbub is fascinating, you need an escape plan. That's where Lanfipe Palace comes in.

This place is a real oasis. The staff can't be friendlier or more helpful (thanks Gabriele and Roberta!!), the breakfast is very nice, the rooms are small but well laid out, and housekeeping keeps them spotless. The windows are soundproofed and you hear nothing after 10pm when the stores close. Wi-fi is very good.

It can be difficult to find the first time. This part of Via Toledo is pedestrian only, so your taxi will drop you off at the end of Via Ponte di Tappia. Walk towards Toledo and look across the street to the opening between the Pisapia and Calzedonia stores. You'll be directly opposite of the Footlocker shop (if you come by Metro to Toledo, walk south on Toledo to the Footlocker and then look right). Walk through the opening and turn to your right. Go up the little stairs and push the intercom button for Lanfipe. Elevator to Floor #3 and walk down the stars to floor #2 for the hotel lobby. If arriving late and the opening between the stores is shut, there is an intercom on Toledo to buzz you through a tiny door.

I'd definitely stay there again.

Central location and warm inviting staff

The hotel is tucked in a busy shopping district. Close by the subway to reach other districts, the busy avenue is blocked off allowing only pedestrian traffic. Dotted with shops, cafes, geleterias and restaurants it was the perfect spot to get a great taste of Naples.

Inside the staff was welcoming and the front desk personnel were often excited to inform us of different things to try in the city and events to check out. The energy and excitement where you could really feel their love of their city and desire to share it with travelers.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. Good size for us since we didn't spend much time there but sleep and a little rest in the afternoons before going out again. We'd read about noise but for the most part was quiet. There must have been a music even in the piazza late one evening or nearby that did carry into the room. Living in Queens, New York this was no big deal for us but light sleepers from the countryside will probably notice they are in a city (which is kind of the point)

The hospitality we received at this hotel was second to none. We arrived late on Wednesday 27th July after getting lost in hectic Naples and were welcomed into this lovely gem of a hotel. We would like to come back to Naples as four days just wasn't enough and would definitely stay at this Hotel again.

Great Location. Two steps from metro station Toledo. When we arrived we were assigned a room with twin beds. Person on duty quickly fixed this for a room with double bed. Exterior may look ordinary but interior is premium. Staff is efficient and helpful. Breakfast offers a wide variety. Great choice for dinning in the area.

Great base for seeing Naples

Nice hotel, great staff, easy place to use as a base. As others have said, it is a bit difficult to find. However, it is across the street from the Foot Locker on Via Toledo. Also, tell taxi drivers to take you to the windmill near Via Toledo. The hotel is on the other side of the plaza (slightly uphill) and quite close.

Started off amazing, ended miserably!

The hotel itself is a very central base for exploring Naples. Most landmarks and access to public transport are only a short distance away. However on the last day of my trip, with only a few hours to spare before leaving Naples, I was mugged by a thief on a moped. My bag containing all my belongings including my passport and credit cards were taken. I was absolute distraught and matters were not helped as I could not speak Italian so no one could understand me, including the police. The only place I could seek help and assistance from was the hotel. I went to them for help as I was beside myself and was not sure how I would get home. To be fair the lady at reception was very helpful. Giving me directions to the police station, giving me water and asking if i was ok. I asked if I could use the phone to call my bank to cancel my credit cards. I managed to make one call and just I was about to make another call to cancel the other, the lady at reception informed me that her manager said I could not make any further calls. As the calls were considered international, they were too expensive. I was absolutely desperate, and I felt like no compassion was shown. I explained that I had no phone and no money and this was an emergency. The lady said she would help me but the manager refused point blank and I was charged 15 euros for the one call I made to cancel my credit card. I could not believe, I was being kicked down when I was already down. This lack of support and human unkindness from the hotel really upset me and ruined my whole experience at Lanfipe hotel. I certainly would not be staying there again and will not be recommending to others.

We eventually found the Hotel as it is located in a pedestrianised zone and the taxi driver had to drop us about 50 yards from where he thought it was..asked a couple of Polizia and they didn't know either, but we walked in a the general direction and fortunately I happened to look up at the right time. It is located on the second floor (all ground floors in this area are shops or cafes) of an old building. Lots of stairs but there is a lift. Once inside, we were made very welcome indeed. Room was comfortable, spacious and had plenty of storage space. Great bathroom with goodies that they replaced every day.

This hotel has it all. The location is perfect, right on the pedestrian strip, Via Toledo, close to the metro and with numerous shops and restaurants right outside the door. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It wasn't large but that is normal. The staff are excellent and the breakfast was basic, no hot food but it was fine to start the day. It is a bit difficult to find but we got dropped off by taxi a block away at midnight and still managed to find our way. I would highly recommend making this your base if you are visiting Naples.

A Gem

We stayed for two nights at the Lanfipe Palace, the location was ideal as the Via Toledo is pedestrianised at this point so the rooms are peaceful but it was easy to get to the places of interest we wanted to visit. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were most welcoming and helpful and there was a good range of food for breakfast with good coffee.
We would recommend this hotel and think it is very good value.

Nice hotel in the central pedestrian street

I stayed there for 8 nights this spring. Hotel was very clean with perfect location in the central pedestrian Toledo street just close to Toledo metro station. Where ever you go in the center of the city, you can walk. I had a room with not too much light because it was on the side street and it was a last room in a row. Probably the smallest one. So in the middle of the day you need to turn on the light even your window is open. Other rooms were with more light. It's a small hotel on the second floor in one old building in the central pedestrian street. The staff were pleasant, but I didn't like they didn't change my room even if they promised. Food was nice, breakfast area is just close to the entrance. I recommend this hotel for business and holiday trips.

Non-functioning air conditioner, hot August nights

The room was nice enough and the staff pleasant, but it was 100 degrees outside, and the air conditioner in my room wasn't working. Made for sleepless, uncomfortable nights. Cranking up the AC did no good--it just wasn't working. Reception, however, was nice and cool. I wouldn't stay there again.

I think this is the most falsely advertisifed hotel... We didn't get the room we booked. Room we got was a 300 sq ft including a tiny bathroom and window open towards the most filthiest street in Naples. The hotel was hard to find as the \"door\" opens to a busy street. Impossible to get luggage through the gate 1 and you have to be buzzed. Then comes stairs with another gate to buzzed to the elevator. Elevator stops one flight of stair short of main lobby to get to the room.

Wonderfully located boutique hotel

This hotel makes a splendid base for visiting the numerous cultural sites of Naples – including the Teatro di San Carlo which is only a few minutes’ walk away. The approach may not inspire confidence – but, once up the communal staircase to the third level, the place provides a haven of peace and civilization. Cleverly designed to make the most of the constrained space, there are ten individualistic rooms, and a breakfast room/bar at mezzanine level. Staff are multi-lingual and extremely helpful – and will let guests in through the security gates at any hour.

A hidden gem. Lanfipe Palace is located in the city with very good access to the Metro and walking distance to the seafront. The air conditioned room was very quiet and well appointed. The staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful , nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was very nice and in a great location for all the sights & nightlife. The staff at this hotel are excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend for a short stay in Naples.

We had trouble finding the place as have a few other people.... If only someone had said it's the big green door opposite Footlocker!!

We had a rocky start as our 'suite' was a small showeroom, small hallway with table, single chair and wardrobe and flight of stairs to a large windowless bedroom. It was just very odd. We were moved to a much nicer room with an extravagant four poster bed. Breakfast was basic and uninteresting but the service was smiley, the hotel was spotless and very central for the old town. A perfectly nice, functional and safe place to stay but I don't think I would go again.

Wonderful hotel - central, clean, comfortable. Staff are exceptional, always cheerful, friendly and helpful (we mainly dealt with Roberta, Federica and Rosaria who were lovely). It is on a busy pedestrianised street but the doubleglazing is very effective (Naples is noisy). Good breakfast.

Centrally located, Best Staff!

The hotel is centrally located on the main pedestrian street in Napoli - Via toledo.
it's 10 meters from the metro station which is very convenient.
Walking 10 minutes and you're at the Castel Novou and 3 more minutes you're at the shore.

The rooms are clean and everything seems new or renovated.

Staff is very nice and helpful with touristic information and restaurant tips.

Great Historic Naples Location

First the positives, the staff was very kind and helpful, the hotel is very clean and the air conditioning works well and quickly, my room had a wonderful balcony with a great view of Naples. It is located in a small alley just off Via Toledo. This street is for pedestrians only, so you can stroll safely to the Bay of Naples with a view of Mt Vesuvius, and eat at outdoor cafes etc. The only negative is that Naples, and most Italian cities are noisy, bring some comfy earplugs and you will be fine.

Bra boende centralt!

Hotellet var lite svårt att hitta, det ligger in igenom en port på tredje våningen och du kommer in via en porttelefon. Vi uppskattade läget direkt vid gågatan och nära allt egentligen åtminstone det som är av intresse i Neapel. De spanska kvarteren precis bakom hotellet, nära till strandpromenaden och nära till bl a det arkeologiska museet.

24 timmars portier var oxå trevligt. Rummet lite gammaldags touch men det funkade. Rent oc bra. Vi var mycket nöjda!

Non fermatevi alla porta!

L’hotel si trova al secondo piano di un vecchio edificio che si affaccia sulla centralissima via Toledo, a 50 m dalle scale di accesso alla stazione metro della omonima via. L’accesso all’hotel è individuabile unicamente dal numero civico in quanto l’accesso è totalmente anonimo, se non fosse per una piccolissima targa presente sullo stipite del portone. L’accesso avviene in un androne condominiale piuttosto fatiscente (ma effettivamente al momento del nostro soggiorno una facciata laterale dell’edificio era in ristrutturazione. Si prosegue più verso le scale alla quale si accede attraverso un cancello. Superato il cancello si accede alle scale, dai muri scrostati e gli infissi vecchissimi. L’ascensore, anch’esso datato, porta al secondo piano, dal quale poi, per accedere al piano dell’hotel, bisogna scendere una rampa di scale (il piano di sbarco dell’ascensore non coincide con quello dell’hotel, quindi la struttura è inaccessibile a portatori di handicap). Varcata la porta a vetri dell’hotel sembra di entrare in un altro mondo, in un ambiente elegante e confortevole, con personale cortese e gentile.

No está mal, pero la distribución es muy rara e incómoda. La entrada al edificio antiguo es un poco tétrica. Muy oscura y decadente. Me dio mucho miedo entrar.
