The only thing I like is their traditional Furnitures and decoration around the lobby area.

My disappointments are: 1) Ants everywhere, crowing in my suitcase, my computer, bed etc....
2) Staffs are not friendly, no help or service from staff, no communication or guide.

Unfriendly staff, dark room

I checked out of this hotel two nights early, even though they were non-refundable, because I was so unhappy with the experience.

My room had no windows, making it feel dark and cramped.
The hotel location was far away from any public transport, which isn't the hotel's fault, but it meant that I spent a lot of time and money travelling to and from the hotel. This reduced the amount of time I could spend exploring Bangkok.

When I arrived they couldn't find the booking, and I ended up having to wait 20 minutes while they were looking.
Most staff spoke no English and were unfriendly. My hair is dyed blue, and the first thing I was told on arrival was \"if your hair stains the sheets, you will pay for it.\" The \"list of breakage costs\" prominently displayed in the room just added to this feeling of mistrust.

If you want a nice hotel experience, I cannot recommend this one. For a hostel it may be fine, but hotels.com claims this is a 3-star hotel and it certainly did not feel like one.

Good Clean Hotel in unique area

I stayed here for the mere convenience of being near the tram station, a very short walk. The area was surprisingly lively at night without the the dirty Downtown Bangkok feel. There was street food, massage parlors, and shops. Just about four venders down the street was Kings Fashion House, which will tailor you a suit in 24 hours. The suits are reasonably priced; not cheap; but less than what the you pay for the one size fits all in USA. The hotel was quite, clean and convenience. There was not any thrills; but there were not any disappointing surprises. It was a very good hotel for the price. One warning: the taxi drivers in that area (like it is different anywhere else - haha) are crooks and scammers not just on the cost of the ride, but where they take your money with the local scams. Use the tram or a meter taxi - if the meter does not work (get a taxi that is legit).

Disappointed!!!

After four visits, staying for over 60 nights. Wrote good reviews about them, boosting their occupancy to mostly full. Not only did they raised their prices by 25%, the service was poor. During my 5th visit for 15 nights stay last month, the aircon was not cold at all and dripping like waterfall. They only changed room for me after sweating for 2 nights and continued to suffer in the other for another 2 nights due to same problems before changing room again! I suppose problems due to lack of maintenance and profit driven business mindset. Really disappointed and will stay in a different hotel for future visits.

The room itself is very good with hairdryer and fridge which are kinda unexpected. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste provided, luckily we bring our own. The location was okay, 5-10 mins walk to Neon Market, very convenient. Light breakfast provided.

Don’t stay near to the lift!

I was assigned a room that near to the lift, I couldn’t sleep well and I was keep waking up by the lift noise, it was very very annoying, my 4nights at there were very torturing. Other than the lift, every early in the morning around 6 -7am, the hotel staff were very unprofessional will definitely come to the corridor and make noise, chit chat loudly and bang the door loudly!
The hotel staff are also unfriendly to us, until now I still remember their mad face!

Hotel overall was ok. Not as clean as you would want you can see stains on sheets and bathroom tiles. It is conveniently located right by 7-11 as well as lots of street vendors. And only a short walk from talad neon night market and all the big malls.

Location is in downtown, near to platinum mall. So, it's quite convenient for those who like to shop. For hotel feedback, everything is good except the staff from the counter. She is not polite like other Thailand receptionist I saw in other hotel. The way she talks, she looks is no respect also. Overall is good. Recommend!

Hotel is great if you compare the rate. You get everything in very cheap rate. I rated according to what I paid. I got everything in this hotel.
The only thing is missing is shuttle to bts. If they add shuttle to bts I give them 5 star. Awesome experience very near hotel and room.

Great stay!

Hotel was in a great location, rooftop bar just around the corner, shopping mall/market 5 minute walk away and great cafe (cafe 33) just across the road. Minor issues were the elevator, doors would have to open and close three times before it would work, but again this was only minor.

Was handy having the reception downstairs do money exchange too.

Definitely recommend this accomodation.

The rooms are clean and really comfortable. The staff could be friendlier. Location is amazing as it is walking distance to the nearby Pratunam area and the BTS. 3rd stay in this hotel and I have no regrets.

Hotel ok, but staff is extremely rude and mean

The hotel was nice. The area is trashy and dirty.

The receptionist ladies were obnoxiously rude with terrible customer service. They have been rolling their eyes, sighing with contempt and almost yelling for us not understanding their thick accent. They never actually answered our questions and just laughed between themselves. Given that there are other places to stay, choose something different until they train their staff on how to deliver a service.

Also, DO NOT expect them to call a meter taxi for you. They have their OWN GUYS who will drive you to the airport for a flat fee: yet another example of how poor the customer service is with a lack of any desire to help vulnerable tourists. Everything counts as long as they can milk money out of you.

Simple hotel, 15mins walking distance to shopping areas such as Pratunam and Platinum Mall. Should be fine for first and second days, but third day onwards should be quite tiring considering you might already spent whole day walking/shopping around.

Another thing is the hotel sound proof is quite poor. Have been waken up from sleep by noices from people passing by, luggage draging sound, open/close door, corridor chats, lift sound.. unless you are travellers who can sleep like a baby or wake up very early (to be the one making noice to others) else you might be waken up from sleep by noices from early birds.

Great ambience and clean rooms

It has been a pleasant stay. 10-15 min walk to Pratunum and Platinum Mall. Just adjacent to 2 major hotels so this is a small boutique hotel and quieter. Lots of street hawkers, 7-11s and massage vendors around.

Bargain stay in a vintage atmosphere

Was able to check-in after 12am despite the claim that checking in after 11pm had to be arranged. The hotel has an historic/antique feel to it, as most of the interior and hallways is dark and wooden. They serve beer priced appropriately in the lobby and I was able to charge it to my room. There was even AC in the room! Bargain for the buck. Would stay again.

A bit of a walk to find food but great for access to night markets and food. Clean room etc. Comfy blankets and safe/fridge! Negative is super thin walls... Can hear all of your neighbours and hallway noise
Down side was trying to communicate with reception. We said we needed to leave at 7am for a tour and asked to leave our bags locked up and were told they would be there but when we went to leave no one was there. We ended up leaving our bags in our room and keeping our key. Leaving them a note clearly stating what happened and that we would be back for 12pm late check out OR to book another night if they had the space available. When we returned they seemed clueless and kept asking if we had booked online even though we were holding the key and kept saying \" we want to book toonight. Our stuff is still in our room\"
Same issue with leaving. We asked them to call a cab for airport shuttle and she said it would happen when we left except we were leaving at 730 and no one was there until 8. Even though we told her we needed the booking before that. Also said they would be there for money exchange services. No luck with that either.

very basic hotel

The hotel was very basic. The check in is at 2:00 pm but at 4:00pm we did not have an available room. The general look and feel is fine but the rooms are just like a shoes box. No windows and the corridor extremely hot with no natural sources of light and air.
The location is good for shopping but very poor and dirty area. I would not recommend eat on any of the places around.
The advantage is that the hotel is close to the sky train to the airport and the international hospital.

Looks great in photos, and the reception area was Nice. But the room was really small and basic, and worst of all: no windows!

I dared not think of what would happen if a fire broke out, and no Escape rout through Windows.

I called the reception after checking in, to ask for a room With a window, but was given the answer: \"Sorry Sir, no rooms With window in this hotel\".

Totally enjoyed the stay in Chang Siam Inn. Cabs are easy to find over there. AI Joo is a very good eatery near the inn. Platinum and Pratunam is of walking distance. However, beware of the massage places there. The lady boys will harass u...that is the only bad point.

Little disappointment !

we requested for early check in n late check out n hotel.com had called to make request on our behalf n it was supposedly confirmed but when we were there, staff wanted to charge us extra n put us in different floors as we'd booked for 3 rooms. We were a little disappointed. Anyway, in the end we managed to check-in earlier on the same floor.

Hotel was clean. Only thing was the reception is not friendly. Sometimes felt that they didnt want to talk and are rude. Maybe its their way. Wish some one would tell them to be more cheerful and polite... . The first impression was a very rude welcome! Actually felt like they didnt want us their. But because we stayed for about a week I kind of felt that it must be their normal way!

It's a nice little budget hotel which doesn't seem to be loved anymore. There were roaches running around in the hallways. Luckily the rooms were in better condition. Service was nearly non existent. It was still bearable since I was mostly just in for the nights. Pick this if u just need a bed and prefer more privacy than a dorm!

I'm glad I found this little hotel. For a very good price, we got a clean room in a good location. We took the airport train link to the Massawan station, and took a taxi from there. We were close enough to the Pratunam, and there was a great array of street food vendors in the vicinity. The only problem was finding the hotel. I'd printed out maps, but my taxi driver never looked at them. I had also gotten some help from a friend who wrote out the address in Thai, and that's what he used. But even with that, the driver had to stop twice to ask for directions. It would have been nice to have a window, but the room was clean, the AC worked, and it was good to have a safe which was easy to operate.

The room I stayed in had a king size bed and maybe 5ft on all sides of it. Room was very clean and up to date on its facilities. The staff was very friendly and help full. I plan to stay here in a few weeks when I come back to Bangkok.

To find this hotel was a nightmare over two hrs, people and cabs had no idea where it was. They give a card at hotel that I wish I could take a pic up so u can use it taking a cab. It is directly across from ramada few blocks from airlink stop. Print map from website and ask to be dropped if taking cab on new petachubri road 33 you will walk down a long block toWards ramada and see this inn on ur left. Not close to grand palace area but bargaining 200 for two people a tuk tuk ride is so worth it and food is endless in the street here ,noodle soups ! Staff is not friendly don't talk to them they won't bother u . Best exchange rate at hotel especially if you use 100s. Very little English but ur in Thailand. Clean rooms , awesome ac.

Hotel wasnt as good as expected or as the ratings were on expedia. The rooms were small, the staff was rude and there is nothing in the fridge for us to consume.

The only good thing about the hotel was its 5 mins walk away from the famous partunam market and have BTS airport link.

Excellent hotel service

What I like
1. Excellent hotel staff service!
I had to lug a baggage (no wheels) that weighs abt 16kg to the skytrain station, that is abt 10mins walking distance away. Not knowing the way and having to lug such a heavy bag, the hotel staff just offered to help carry my bag to the station without me asking. He is quite small built and i can see he is also having difficulty bringing my bag but he did it without any complaints under the hot sun. I offered him a small little tip as a token of appreciation and he is in anyway entitled to accept but he turned me down. He said to use it for my train fare back to airport. Such excellent and warmth service he provides. A pity that I didnt get his name.

4.Walking distance, about 15mins away from platinum mall & only 10mins away from the skytrain station that links directly to the airport
5. Wifi within the room

What I dislike
1. Bare facilities within the room

Good for the price

Small room no window, But clean good deco and comfy bed, good value for money in Bangkok. Only 10 min walk to Airport link sky train, The guys on the door friendlier than the girls behind the counter.
