The room was very basic and poorly maintained, looking old and outdated. While it appeared clean at first glance, I did notice a small cockroach, which was disappointing.
The worst part of the stay, however, was the check-out experience. Reception called me twice on the morning of check-out, starting at 10:00 am, in a very rude manner, insisting that I leave by 11:00 am at the latest. When I went down at 11:00, there was a huge queue, as many guests had clearly been asked to leave at exactly the same time. It took around 40–45 minutes just to check out and receive the deposit.
This situation could easily be avoided with better organization. Guests should not all be pushed to check out at the same time, allowing a staggered window (for example between 11:00 and 12:00) would greatly reduce queues and unnecessary inconvenience.

Do not book at thia hotel! Its infested with cockroaches and when i found 2 in my room. I askes for a refund. They would not refund me.since i booked through expedia. They lobbby stinks like mildew & stale water. The front desk staff dont undertand a word of english and the concierge staff one guy kept begging me to buy him food. Very unprofessional and untrained staff. Stay away from this hotel unless you want your kids bitten by roaches.

The corridors are noisy and noise outside rooms comes through ones room. Hotel is geared towards those from India and Pakistan. Men at the pool took their shorts off and swam in their shorts even though the hard to find sign shows what to swim in.
Limited English speaking staff makes it even harder. Woman’s sauna has been non operative for a long time and pool towels are overdue to be replaced

Classic mid century modern hotel - great value

This hotel dates to the 1980s, and hasn't had major renovations since then, which might be a good thing depending on your perspective. I got a great deal, and for the money, it was a real treat. Nice big pool where you can do serious laps. Nicely appointed breakfast.

2 Rude receptionists for tens people waiting for check in i felt a bit racist reacting by them. check out at 5 am of big groups of tours, shouting and making noise in morning no body was warning them.not worthed money for this hotel.cockroach in room.many single men around and not comfortable area for women in swimming pool and other areas.never and ever go there again.

The staff (male) at the reception (not the cashier) was not co-operative. First of all, there is a weird practice of 1000THB to be deposited at time of check in.

While checking out, there was a queue at cashier & hence requested the reception staff to cover for cashier, for which, the attendant was rude.

The overall aesthetic of the hotel is pleasant. The pool is beautiful. The gym is well equipped. The hours are a little minimal, however. Both facilities close at 5:30 pm. The breakfast buffet offers Thai, Indian, and Western options. It’s above average. The housekeeping crew are excellent and if you need anything will be at your door within a minute or two!

Hardly a hotel, more like a motel

Entrance to the hotel is tricky.Very hard to be picked/dropped up by grab car.Long uncomfortable walk to the nearest shopping and eating area.Room was dusty and old.I had to clean it myself after the housekeeping leaves.Found dead cockroaches on the floor. Breakfast was yuck! Stale and basic.The only ‘meat’ was egg. The lobby was always crowded.
I stayed a week and couldn’t change hotel cos I paid upfront.

Ignore overly critical reviews. We had a lovely stay and are world travellers who accept the fact that nothing is perfect. The property is well located near amenities, public transit, good food and shopping but directly next to highway and very low end residences so the pool area is nice but very noisy. The lobby is impressive, ample staff (not the friendliest) very slow to check in and out because of additional rules required to manage such a large property. Infact they rigorously enforce their rules (no picture taking, can’t sit in lobby or cafe unless you’re a paying customer and proper attire in work out and pool area etc.). Details that could easily be improved with better management.

I book a room with a Queen size bed, but during check in they said they did not have one, and then said I should had confirmed my book, but Expedia itinerary said they I was book and did not need to confirm. Anyway after pushing for the large bed they found one, and told me they upgraded me to a larger king size. So that worked out. There are large groups of tours coming and going, which was weakness, but with a hotel that size it is expected.

Too many cockroaches. Cockroaches everywhere throughout the hotel. Cockroaches in the room, cockroaches at the restaurant and everywhere. Only the lobby looks fancy but the rooms are very old and need repairs. It looks like a 3 or 2 star motel.

Some of the previous reviews on this hotel have not been so good , in general I was quiet happy.
Clean and well presented also staff where a as helpful as they could be in the reception and the rooms where ample..
Location a little hard to find but close enough to the local nightlife in a short taxi or Took Took ride.
A good budget option with a nice outdoor pool and a gym available 👍Focus a little to much on large groups maybe....

Booked a room for two pax. End up told me I have to pay extra (for the second pax) upon check-in. Told by the two service staff at the counter and one manager, Ms. Penn that my room was for one pax only. After a few email exchange, Ms. Penn insisted that's the hotel policy. When booking, it was clearly stated, one room for a maximum of two pax.

Also, toilet wasn't working (flooded even when there's nothing in the bowl), requested to change room. However, service was slow and had to call the reception 3 times. All in all, it was really a bad experience for me considering this is the first ever time I wrote a negative review after traveling extensively for more ten years.

In the end, we didn't stay for the entire duration that we booked (paid for). Upon check out, one of the hotel staff was puzzled as to why we were checking out earlier. After we told her what happened (not the previous 3 above mentioned staff), she told us that actually we can stay on - and that no money is required for the 2nd pax. By then we were already very pissed and rather spend our money elsewhere than to receive such treatment (make it so hard for us to check in to begin with).

Just bad. Never again.

First time and never will i return..first no king size bed after calling and requesting as was my belated birthday fine stayed in the rm with two beds moved together.Bed bugges bit us the whole ng.small roaches in the toilet told reception apoloise and thats it didnt bother to go further.Next morning 9am the hk rings the bell to clean the rm told come after 3pm.At 10am another call comes and at 11am another call i asked them i already informed after 3pm.Asked me if i was an indian.Is this what u teach your staff he laughed and hang up.The worst bar i had had mosquitoo bit us..ghosh just wonder hw this hotel is still surviving..The only people who i can say were friendly concierge and rm attendant rattapol thumps up to him great staff..Is a disappointment when you also work in the hotel line to see this kind of service

Hotel self identifies as luxury .......

Staff are so rude and room was dirty, don’t be fooled by the concierge or lobby!

30 min check in and 20 min check out whilst they check if you have been drinking any of the minibar before you get a 2000 baht CASH deposit back.

Spend a bit more and have the real experience.

The worst ever hotel i stayed.
1- Photos in sites are the same but doesnot match in reality. I am quite sure you will be very disappointed when u see the Hotel in real.
2- Rooms are dirty. Very dirty. I asked twice to clean properly. Very dirty room.
3- Everyday u will see cockroach in the room.
4- This hotel is for groups from India only.
5- Breakfast is ok. Everyday the same food. No Thai touch. After 2 days, I guarantee you will get bored.
6- On the walls inside the Hotel you will see \"if you do this Hotel will FINE you, if you do that Hotel will FINE you\". I didnot feel that i was staying in the Hotel.
7- For the first time in my life I saw king bed on wheels. You sit- noisy, stand- noisy, move- noise. What a bad sleep I had. Never gonna forget this hotel. :(
8- The worst were - Staff of the Hotel, including a female manager who did check in for us. What a rude attitude she showed.

Too noisy. Too many guests at breakfast with not enough staff to cater for the needs. 30 minutes wait for 1 person making eggs.
2 toasters for 100s of guests. Children playing in corridors and making too much noise.

When complaining why more staff are not made available to breakfast area and that I will not use the breakfast coupons for the following 2 days, the Manager simply said, thank you.

No point going there when much better places exist

An old, dated place in a fairly inconvenient location. Strangely the main entrance is closed at night requiring an extra 5 minutes of roaming in dark alleyways to find the way back. Also packs of Indians roaming around doesn't make for a positive experience.
There's nothing really good or compelling about the place other than the gym having a decent range of equipment and the pool being clean. The price is on the budget end but so are plenty of places close to attractions. Good luck trying to get a taxi anywhere for under 150 baht, they know you're a captive market.

Area That Suits Me

The hotel is located in an area that suits me for closeness to Airport Sky train, Pratunam shopping and eating areas. Have stayed in this hotel before and three others almost all in the same block so my decision is often made on the best deal and if I have a car at the time and require parking. Extended check out time swayed me on this occasion but I was disappointed with the room that I was given as they are doing renovations on one of the wings and unpleasant fumes were wafting to our room. Did not complain as was only transiting, they may have changed room but I did not have the time to be bothered.
Breakfast was going to be stopped right on 10am or as it was before 10am so don't plan to get there late and linger as it WILL be packed away lights and air conditioning off at or just before 10am

Great place especially for the price

Pretty good place, especially for price. The breakfast buffet is just good, lots of variety though. Room service is awesome and all the employees are amazing. Beautiful lobbies and rooms, be warned the pool shot is definitely photoshopped. There isn’t really a bar outside, the staff has to go inside to get the drinks. Also the pool is only open til 6 which is silly, since the photo shows it at night... it should definitely be open longer. Other than that really great hotel, I would stay here again.

Worth it for the price i booked for

Room was generally clean although decor is dated.
Hot water flask was very dirty, with dried up spaghetti coiled around the heating coil in the flask. Requested for a new kettle and housekeeping made the change promptly.

Only gripe was the lack of invoice during check out although they had initially opened a charge on my credit card. Was only told verbally that my credit card was not charged which was not very reassuring.

Otherwise, will recommend this place as it is conveniently located near the airport rail. Staff were mild mannered and tried their best to help during check in and check out.

The hotel was in a very congested area and only if you want to do any shopping in Indra market or want to have indian food, this is a OK place. A strange procedure followed by this hotel is to lock the main entrance after 9pm and after that time you have to take a big detour to reach the hotel. This is a big inconvenience and hassle for the guests. They don't have any proper room service, only about 20-25 items and most of which are not good. If you are bringing food from outside, you will be fined 2000 baht which is ridiculous. Please avoid, there are better choices in pratunam area.

Bugs all over The room and even at the breakfast counter moving over the food as well. Not a worth even a single star property

Nice stay but location

Check-in was fast and nice by Rungatree. Good breakfast, and staff take care to separate private travelers and tour group. Nice pool and gym. Nearest station is ARL Ratchaprarop about 700m away. Great to also offer welcome drink upon arrival.

Two nights in Bangkok

We were pleased with the location, it being central and close to the railway station, shops, etc.

One disappointment was an undercooked hamburger in the csfe, which thankfully didn't upset my partner's stomach. The same night, some other guests were very noisy in the corridor. Unfortunately our room was located close to the lift, which also disturbed us with a loud \"dinging noise\", regularly.

On the day we left, the pool was closed. Due to limited English spoken by some staff members, we are unsure of the reason.

Otherwise, the 2 restaurants were pleasing. Popular and busy hotel. Room was a decent size & facilities quite good.Lovely, large bed and good pillows.

Biggest disappointment in Thailand

Truly a disappointment from check in to check out. Staff was between indifferent and rude the whole time. Entire surrounding area was under construction. They put us in a room right in front of the elevators which was noisy throughout the whole night. The room was just plain sad. Had booked a queen size bed and got the two twin bed situation that was just pushed up next to each other on wheels that separated annoyingly throughout the night. I really feel like I am difficult to disappoint, but what made it the worst was the staff. You know that feeling where you feel like you’re being talked about and laughed at? This was the first time I experienced that in my two weeks in Thailand... and every time I encounterd staff it felt that way. They charge you for bringing food into you own room!! You have to buy food from them or you get fined. They have a terrible exchange rate which is way worse than the tons of places to do it right outside. Also lastly but MOST annoying. They warn you about being taken advantage of by taxis NOT booked through them... but they are in on the “no meter” scam. We ordered a cab for 5am to get to the airport and also didn’t have one until 520 and if you travel internationally you know how frustrating that was for us. Had such a great time in Thailand but this will be remembered as the big disappointment. Doesn’t look at all like it does in the pics either. Stay away.

Nice and Affordable hotel

My friends and I had 3 night stay in Bangkok Palace Hotel. It was a great stay and the rooms are quite comfortable. Hotel staffs are nice. We arrived hotel in the morning 3 am and wanted to change to family room (we booked 2 superior rooms initially). The receptionist was friendly and helped us change family room, there were no issues with check in or check out. The breakfast was okay too.

The only drawback is the hotel's location. It is just beside the expressway and quite dark at night to walk to hotel. Some of the taxi drivers (especially from the airport) are not familiar with the location and it is quite difficult to find. Reason we arrived hotel at 3am - our taxi driver does not know where is the hotel (probably she is new) and she went round and round, literally spent like 30-45 mins just to find the hotel when we were already in hotel's area (Makkasan). However, we had no issue finding hotel for the rest of the stay. Almost all of taxi drivers in the city know the location.
