The spa was lovely. The room was nice and clean but pillows really uncomfortable. Also a bit strange not having a bar open all day, so when out by the pool had nothing to drink unless we went to the shop in the square first. No kettle in room to make a hot drink in the night or morning and breakfast not until 8am.

Though this property is 45 minutes outside of Barcelona, I found it to be quite nice, quiet and perfect for my needs as a solo traveler. Just know that the taxi cost to get to Barcelona is going to be about 70 euro each way if you decide to go into Barcelona

Nice hotel, beds need improvement

The hotel was nice. The buffet breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We had trouble sleeping because the beds were not very comfortable and the rooms were not very soundproof. The church bell was going off every hour through the night and it would wake us up. We enjoyed the town and felt very safe here.

I was looking for a hotel with a spa & pool near Montserrat for a free day at the end of a business trip, and I booked this place because the Expedia page says it´s only 17.92km from Montserrat. Maybe as the crow flies that´s true, but it´s misleading because the area is mountainous and it´s nearly an hour´s drive from the property to Montserrat. The property is actually situated in Caldes de Montbuic, which is a cute little town in the hills with a lot of volcanic hot springs, but not where I wanted to be. Apart from that, the property is not bad but seemed to me it is as much a sanitorium for people using the thermal springs as a hotel. Check on the map to make sure it´s convenient for you.

A jewel of a hotel. Rooms were clean and nice, but the view was amazing! Lots of beautiful outdoor spaces and staff were fantastic. Take advantage of the restaurant- the breakfast and dinner buffets were well worth it and delicious! Add in the thermal spa and this place is a winner!!

Nice hotel close to historic centre.

The hotel is close to the historic thermal baths, and offers convenient access to the Plaça d'Angel which has lovely cafés and offers convenient access to pretty much anywhere in town. We came to Caldes dear Montbui when the central historic square was under refurbishment, which was unfortunate, but it was right on the hotel doorstep so shows how central the hotel is.

Facilities were very good and we found the atmosphere very relaxing.

The hotel was very nice and clean. We were over for the motogp and it was a perfect location. The town was lovely. We had 2 issues which made our last night very disappointing and which future guests should be aware of. 1. On the Sunday there was a local parade of some sort which meant that the main street was closed. The hotel is located at the end which meant when we arrived back after the motogp that night about 9pm we were driving around in circles for an hour or so trying to find access to the hotel. In the end we gave up and had to abandon the car in a backstreet a bit away from the hotel. 2. We got to the hotel after 10pm where there was noone in reception and asked a janitor about checking out the following morning. Only due to the fact one of our group spoke some Spanish we would have had no hope. We were told that there was no receptionist until 7am next morning when we needed to check out at 6.15am. He had to make some phone calls and after another hour or so of translating and the janitor being talked through check out system by phone we got checked out. We had been looking forward to getting out for the night after the racing as it was our last night but it was now 11.30pm. The bars were now closed.

Chlorine smell

When you enter the hotel the smell hits you. The smell of chlorine. It is in the reception area, in corridors, and in the room.
The double bed is small and pretty hard.
The crowd is Spanish ladies 80+.
We were there because of the thermal spa. We imagined it would be something like Poseidon thermal park in Iscia, Italy, or Carlovy Vary. Not even close.
I would not recommend it.

Second time I have stayed here to attend the grand prix. Good location to easily get to the track and into Barcelona itself.

Hotel is comfortable, clean with good staff. Had a room at the front, only downside with it is early morning noise from deliveries etc in the area of the hotel.

Staff on reception not very helpful. Don't bother asking them about the area, go to the nearby Tourist Information office where the staff are friendly and helpful. Bathroom was so small that the door has to be shut before using the toilet and no fan in the bathroom. Breakfast is an experience! An antiquated coffee machine that only works sporadically. Be warned that on Sundays all shops are shut and there is little to do.

Terrible hotel away from Barcelona city never a

On arrival thinking we had transfer Bus to pick us up no show. Took a Taxi cost 100 Euros to the hotel.....arrived at the destination hoping there will be compliments coffee tea and kettle in the room no hope never again will we booked thru Expedia will passed this experiemce to all my friends. On returned to the Airport fares cost 80 Euros and arrived at Madrid from Barcelona late inbound missed the flight to London

Agréablement surpris !!

Je conseille de prendre l’option Spa, idéal pour se relaxer.
Le repas du soir composé d’un buffet libre était très bien présenté et très bon.
Seul petit bémol, l’accès à l’hôtel un peu dur à trouvé même avec le gps !!

Wir waren mit 2 Motorrädern unterwegs und es goss wie aus Kübeln.Es war etwas schwierig unter diesen Umständen den richtigen Weg zu finden, und ich fragte einen Mann danach,er lotste uns zum Hotel. Wie sich später herausstellte,war es der Hotelchef persönlich,danke noch einmal!
Ein sehr schönes, ruhiges Hotel!
