Stay wasn’t great. We arrived and bed was literally covered in hundreds of different hairs. We asked reception to change it and the cleaner came up and did so, and it was again covered in hairs. At this point we couldn’t do much else so had to deal with it. As described it is a very tiny room which is fine if you’re just using as a place to stay. Also bathroom floods very easily. No hand towels provided either. Wi-Fi good. And location is good short walk to tram to take you into centre.

Hotel is in a convenient location and looked fairly new.
I was almost impressed with my room until I discovered the thermostat was stuck on 26 degrees. After much pressing of buttons and sweating, I went to reception. The guy seemed pretty uninterested. I had to pretty much force him to come and take a look, just in case I was doing something wrong with the thermostat. I wasn't. He did say he could set temp from the computer and asked what temp I needed it. I tried to explain that, as I was using this room for the first time, I may need to play around with it a little to work out what was comfortable and that I didn't want to be running up and down all night getting him to alter it. Eventually, he gave me a different room. The thermostat was also broken there but set at a lower temp.
Walls rather thin. Whoever was in the room next to me snored like a bison with flu. I also realised they suffered from sleep aponea. So, not much sleep. Windows didn't close (or open) properly so also had noise from outside. Room was clean and tidy and the bed was excellent. Really basic but I hadn't expected much. The ban on smoking in the rooms was not enforced and the little lobby/hall outside my room stank of cigarette smoke. Bathroom was very compact and probably not great for anyone of a larger size. Check-in guy was friendly and helpful. Would stay again but not for 3 nights!

Stayed for a week, solo travel, some excellent staff at reception, some not so good, that could have been because i don’t speak Bulgarian, room is adequate for single travellers, warm and WiFi good, only negative was room or bins weren’t cleaned or emptied for the whole week.
It’s about 20 min walk to main attractions but there are trams every 10 min at top of road, you can just use your debit card to travel, tbh the public transport is excellent in Bulgaria, used the Metro to and from Airport again just swipe your card.

This hotel satisfied my minimalist spirit. Other than an extra roll of toilet paper and 2 extra towels there was no luxuries. The staff was efficient but did not smile or greet guests. When the ventilation paused and the traffic outside stopped. I could hear the beeping of the green walking man all night long.

Isn't in the most accessible part of town, but takes about 20-25 minute to walk into the heart of town. About 45 mins from the bus station.

Basic hotel which is fine but there were issues with the cleanliness of the room. There were so many hairs on the bed it looked like someone had molted.
If cleanliness was improved it would be ok for a night only but due to this issues I can’t recommend it

I have stayed for 3 nights and I had a very noisy room on the 3rd floor facing the street , i haven’t been able to sleep due to the noise from the street all the night of car passing , even though I tried to change the room but the staff told me that the hotel is fully booked .

The location is convenient near the metro
But I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone even thought the price is good , but bad sleep can ruin your quite holiday pay more and get a good night sleep

So I unfortunately I wont come back to this hotel .

Some good bits:

Cheap - good value for money.
You can check in overnight - a real lifesaver for me, as I was arriving at 04:00 in the morning.
Close to transport links - there's a metro station about 5 mins walk away.
Friendly staff.

Some bad bits:

Very thin dividing walls - you'll hear a lot of your neighbours moving around & snoring. God help you if they're having sex, you might be in a for a long night! (bring ear plugs)
Quite a lot of wear and tear on the room - peeling paint etc.
Very hard bed.

The hotel is located about 2 Km away from Vitosha street which is a main entertainment street in the heart of Sofia and must be visited as it is full with cafes, restaurants and traffic free walk which is brilliant.
Rooms in the hotels are very small, although there is a double bed but the room can never accommodate a couple as there is no enough space to walk around.
Cleaning and changing the beddings is only done every 4 days which is not enough.
It is ok for one person to stay in the room and the hotel is not a child or family friendly. If you are planning to spend most of the time outside the hotel it is ok.

Biggest pro: the staff is very nice. Good location, near metro station. The hotel has its own parking. Rooms are quite small, but I already knew that when I booked, so no complaint here. Even if I'm 1,94m, it was ok for me :)
Some rooms are not very clean. First we received a room where the bathroom was dirty, there was hair on the floor, and the sink was broke. You should really have a talk with the cleaning staff. We had our room changed, the second was clean, but the heat wasn't working until morning. But overall it was a good stay.

The building was shaking when the AC or something was turning on every 20 minutes or so for prolonged time. The toilet smelled bad from the piping. The rooms are very small (as advertised), but the prices are unreasonably high for the Tokyo size rooms that look like a submarine section. The view from the 8th floor was great, the personnel was friendly and the sheets were clean (if that is all you need).

Arrived at hotel after using hotels.com. Guy on desk a bit odd. Asks for passport straight away. Then told me no booking on system and we are fully booked. Had to waste around 25 minutes sorting this out. eventually he calls manager and there is a record of booking. Passport appears to be electronically scanned onto their computer similar to what would happen at an airport which does raise some concerns with regards identity fraud because potentially they have a full absolute scan of your passport. The room was poor and stank of smoke. The view was non existent to outside. There was evidence of smoking in the room and the window ledge appeared to have burn marks on it. Noise levels were acceptable. The bathroom was very poor did not use it and it smelled strongly of urine around the toilet bowl area. Would require a deep clean in my view.

I suppose its greatest compliment is it’s not bad for the money, however a few simple improvements would definitely create a nicer experience. For example, the mattress was incredibly hard, id imagine this may suit some travellers yet I feel for most to all this would be inadequate especially as it kept me awake with back pain (I’ll bypass the stains). The air conditioning seemed to be non-existent, although the panel reassured me it was on yet the distinct lack of noise or air proved otherwise. But for the money it’s better than sleeping on Sofia’s cobbled streets!

Make no mistake, this is not a fancy hotel. It is pretty much a hostel with private, en suite rooms. The hotel is situated in a residential neighbourhood, about a 30 min walk from the centre of the city or a 5 minute metro ride, which was really handy. The hotel has a friendly reception who were able to call us a taxi on departure. The room is capsule-style, with a somewhat creaky bed but good use of space. It felt a bit like being on a ferry, but for the price was a great way to access the wonderful city of Sofia.

I arrived at 0630 the next day due to my plane being over 3 hours late but the staff were so friendly and helpful with check in.

The room was a small double but as I paid £22 per night I was not expecting much. But wow.

Free usable wifi, two plug sockets, working A/C which worked brilliantly, a east facing view. The bathroom was pod like small but usable. I was only staying their to sleep and shower. Everything was fine.

Yes its not in the centre but its £22 a night. Taxis to town cost 5 Bulgarian Lev which the staff happily booked for me. Still far cheaper than any city hotel.

I will be staying at the Easyhotel in Sofia again. At that price who can argue.

IT'S A VERY BASIC HOTEL, BUT GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY I'VE SPENT.
I TOOK THE LARGER ROOM WHICH WAS A LITTLE BIT MORE EXPENSIVE BUT THAT EXTRA SPACE IN THE ROOM WAS NEEDED.
WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE CITY CENTER AND JUST 5-10 MINS WALK FROM A BIG SHOPPING MALL.

The strong point is obviously the price, as for any EasyHotel property. If you are prepared for a small room with no frills and you don't need to spend much time in your room, then EasyHotel Sofia is a great accommodation option as it comes cheap, the location is good (just 2 stops by metro from the center) and room/bathroom clean.

i stayed in the easy hotel for two nights in sept 2016 , it was a reasonable experience, the area is quiet , the toilet took me back to my days of staying in caravans , although adequate for my requirements, the staff were pleasant but not over friendly , for a couple of nights for those on a tight budget, then i would recommend, but for next time i might see what a bit more might buy me..

Great stay in good location

The hotel was located very close to metro station and other forms of transport, in a quiet street and also close to shopping mall. If you are reasonable walker you can also reach the centre of Sofia and attractions on foot. The room is small and compact but functional. Very clean and comfortable mattress. The reception staff is exceptional, very friendly and informative. Choice of Tv programs is quite big in different languages.

A great place to stay

I stayed at the hotel for one night. I was catching the plane in thevmorning and needed the place that is cheap and conveniently located in terms of its proximity to a metro station. EasyHotel fit the bill, as it is 5 min. away from the metro station and--in total--some 45 min. away from the airport (once you are on the metro, there is no need to change the lines).

The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The staff at the reception desk is very friendly and helpful (I ordered a wake-up call at 8am and they came to my door to knock and make sure that I was awake). I booked a smaller, and cheaper room, but it was very comfortable and plenty spacious. The same goes for the washroom which, although very compact, was surprisingly comfortable to use fir a big and tall guy such as myself.

The neighbourhood is residential, but there are several food stores, cafés abd bars nearby, which makes it very convenient as the hotel itself does not have a restaurant or any food service to speak of, save for a couple of vending machines.

Overall, I would very much recommend easyHotel and am dure to stay there next time I'm in Sofia.

Wir haben drei Nächte als Paar in dieser Unterkunft verbracht. Preis ist sehr gut allerdings lässt die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig. An der Wand über dem Bett hat man noch fettige Handabdrücke gesehen. Das war alles sehr klein und er erinnert mich an ein Badezimmer auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff. Für mich ist es auch ungewöhnlich das bei einem Hotelzimmer die Handtücher nicht täglich gewechselt werden oder das Bett gemacht wird.
