We travelled in April, which is out of season for Ibiza however Santa Eulalia still had many restaurants open. The hotel staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean with comfy beds, and unbelievable sea views. It is located approximately 15 minutes walk to the town centre, and 5/10 minutes from the marina. The pools, including the indoor pool, were cold. Too cold for me to swim but my children did use them briefly! The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Omelettes are cooked to order, and the selection and quality are very good. We would happily revisit this hotel!

We loved our weekend stay at the Tropic Garden. The staff were wonderful, especially lovely Alberto who worked the bar and restaurant.

A couple of notes of caution though - the free hotel WiFi is very slow so if you need to work, make sure you have pretty of data / a personal hotspot.

And also be careful around the pool as the floor tiles are unusually slippery when wet.

Other than that, enjoy! We will be back again for sure.

Rooms extremely dated, corridors full on huge planters with only mud in most. Breakfast terrible, quality very poor. Tiles around pool extremely dangerous and slippery. No lifeguard even in a pool so so busy, accident waiting to happen. This is not a 4 star hotel and I would never return. I am thankful we only stayed for 2 days.. I would have moved elsewhere if I had booked longer.

Disappointing Stay – Wouldn’t Return

This is the first review I’ve ever written, which probably says a lot about how much this experience stuck with me – unfortunately, not for the right reasons.

From the start, the hotel felt underwhelming. The rooms were dark, the pillows were uncomfortably small, and the air conditioning kept switching off and on all night, making it almost impossible to sleep. We didn’t get a proper night's rest the entire week.

Noise was a major issue – other guests were loud and disruptive, especially at night, and there didn’t seem to be any effort from staff to manage this.

When we checked out, I said “I’d like to check out,” and the receptionist just said “OK” – no “how was your stay” or even a polite goodbye. It summed up the general attitude we experienced throughout the week.

The water and coffee had a strange, earthy taste that put us all off – none of us ended up drinking it.

As we were on a B&B basis, we found the service a bit lacking – for example, when ordering a beer, we were given a tiny cup, which felt a bit stingy. Around the pool, there were nowhere near enough umbrellas, which made it difficult to escape the sun.

To be fair, perhaps the price reflects the experience, but we stayed in a cheaper hotel the previous week and had a much more enjoyable time.

All in all, I wouldn't return or recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice and the staff are friendly. We were breakfast only which was very nice. We tried the dinner one night as we’d left it too late to go out and still see the entertainment (for our daughter, I wouldn’t have minded otherwise). I wouldn’t recommend that for what we paid. I found the hotel a bit on the expensive side for drinks but we did have a fridge so we could have drinks in our room. Room was fine, bathroom had a leaking shower but it didn’t bother us really. The entertainment team really try but I think the evening entertainment could be better though they did certainly kept the children happy. Depends what you want. We had a really nice time for our 4 night stay.

Large hotel suitable for families. We chose it for its proximity to our grandchildren who live nearby. Comfortable, spacious, clean room with nice view. Negative points were in the bathroom, no handrails or non slip mat, no walk in shower. These are important to us being elderly. Outside areas also tended to be quite slippery, especially near the pool.

the property was very neat and clean and staff were lovely, specially cleaning staff who did a great job with the rooms. Spacious room which had a separate kitchenette area. Good location just a few minutes walk away from the beach and restaurants… good price of the drinks etc.

Could have had different breakfast buffet options though, they had exactly the same thing everyday. Also the tv dint seem to connect to the smart apps - YouTube / Netflix / prime video and when we asked the reception there wasn’t much follow up from their end so we gave up.

Our room was clean and spacious and the additional space of the terrace was very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food provided was of a very good standard with plenty of selection at breakfast and dinner. The only downside I felt was the bar area in the evenings. There was always a queue for sevice and the room itself was totally devoid of any atmosphere.

TV small, not smart. No usb. Hot tub broken, was fixed. Cabana bed severely broken, technicians tried to fix it, made it worse, eventually got a replacement after being told they wouldn’t be able to replace as end of season! Outside chair broken. Kettle handle broken. Room clean but in need of a deep clean. Fridge rusty. Toilet, sink and bidet all cracked. Toilet seat needs replacing. Microwave dated and temperamental door close. Breakfast - decent choice, same daily. In our opinion not 4 star. Needs improvement.

Very enjoyable experience for a 4 night break.

Room was spacious & clean. We paid for a front sea view however our room was a side view, we spoke to reception but this was not resolved.

Drinks and Food were very good, I personally feel that there could have been more choice with food options but I never went hungry. There are snacks available at the pool bar during the day. Lots of options for drinks on all inclusive package.

All staff were friendly. The evening entertainment was a bit hit/miss, for example I didn’t really understand the entertainment team show of miming to songs whilst dancing.

Great family hotel, really clean and lots of food options in the restaurant.
Location is a bit out of the way, and a good 15 minute walk to the harbour where there are shops and restaurants.
Would suit young family. I found my older children (age 8 and 10) getting a bit restless in the afternoons.
Pool bar is fantastic and the staff are all lovely and friendly. Only downside was in the evenings service was very slow in the bar- not sure if this was deliberate to slow down the all inclusive drinks consumption!
There was always a queue out of the door- a couple of times we gave up and went to bed- definitely more staff needed to facilitate.
Would stay here again as everything ran very smoothly and check in/out was great (check out was 12 noon which was fab) and we found everyone very helpful.

Fab room in a great location

After checking in at 4am we were greeted at reception by a lovely man who gave us as much info as we allowed him, headed straight to the room to sleep, when we woke up in the morning we realised we had been given a beautiful upgraded room with a Bali bed and hot tub on the balcony,
Room was clean and tidy and the hotel grounds were clean to,
Can’t comment on the service or food as we ate in the town every night and spent the day at the beach,

We have stayed here several times before corona. The staff is ABSOLUTELY LOVELY, however now the all inclusive packages and big families and intensive use over the years have caused a lot of wear and tare. They have done some updates however in my personal experience they have missed the mark. It needs to be modernized.
But let me reiterate the personal and the restaurant is lovely, lots of options and also very accommodating towards gluten free , plant based etc

Nice little family resort. Everything is geared towards kids. Our suite with a side sea view was very comfortable but the shower kept flooding the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was good but it ended too early. We had to rush to finish our meals by 10 am. Great pool and play areas for the kids. No beach nearby but there's a scenic trail along the coast.

I wanted to do a workout at the gym but there was no equipment to work with. The dumbbells only went up to 5kg, the suspension trainer was missing one handle, the stability balls were deflated, and there were no strength training machines. There were a few cardio machines and light weights only, which were all in terrible condition. I guess nobody uses the gym.

The all-inclusive felt like a bit of a trap. We didn't do it. The center of town is a 15 min walk away and there's lots of great restaurants. The beach is there and a marina too. You can connect to Ibiza town, Formentera, and other locations using the Santa Eulalia Ferry. We loved the boat rides and amazing views.

Fabulous hotel,with lovely staff and an army of cleaners keeping the place spotless. Food was good & a good variety. The only criticism is the sun beds are very uncomfortable to lie on with a steel bar that sits at your lower back. The hotel also needs a designated smoking area. Unusual smoking at the main entrance.

The positive:

Very comfortable bed, clean, and great location. Convenient to market and beach. A little far from public transportation but still manageable.

The not so good:

All inclusive didn't feel that way because the advertised hours of operation for the restaurant/cafeteria were not correct and we missed out due to making plans around these hours. Food also was not all that tasty. Amenties were unavailable. Jacuzzi was broken, ALL of the equipment was broken in the gym and looks like it has been for years. Television worked only once in awhile. Apartment had dishes, pots and pans and guests are required to wash but you had to buy dishsoap and cloth at the market.

All and all just \"ok\"

air con in room rubbish had to sleep with door open all day/night - would be absolutely unbearable in summer! Even on full blast you could hear the fan but no Cold air with it

one of the toilets off reception had faeces smeared on it our entire time there - could have been there months or days but it was there when we arrived and there when we left

Despite being all inclusive we had to pay for renting a pool towel …. Not done that for 20 years even in a b&b hotel and expected to have bottled water replaced in room but it wasn’t

Beautiful location, service and experience

It was such a lovely week away. I was afraid to do an all inclusive but the experience positively surprised me. The staff were always so friendly. The food never got too boring. So much variety there and been enough to satisfy a tricky vegan. The kids (8 and 10) had a great time with the food and the swimming. They hardly got out of the pool. The location was great as well. Right next to a stony beach with beautiful water and very close to the main Santa Eulalia beach area which is lovely.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property in a half board basis. We as a family tend to go on several small holidays each year and on this occasion we stayed 4 nights. The hotel was at full capacity and the room we were given was on the street side which we had no problem with. Unfortunately though, our room was next to some sort of generator which meant we were unable to sit out on our balcony and enjoy a drink because of the running noise. The main problem we encountered however was that the air conditioning in the room didn’t work well. At first an engineer came out twice and got the air con working but it never really worked well enough to cope with the heat and we got very little sleep the whole time we were there. The noise of the generator stopped is being able to open the door on an evening to let in some fresh air. We did wonder if the air con couldn’t cope when the hotel was at full capacity as it did slightly improve after the weekend when some people has gone home.

Enjoyed the hotel, it was about a 10 ins walk to the marina.
The reception staff were a pleasure to deal wtih and offered us a fabulous upgrade on arrival for a decent enough price so had a great room with jacuzzi and huge veranda in a great spot. The fridge didnt keep anything cold and when this was looked at by maintenance the answer was it was poor design and leave the cabinet door open and the fridge pulled out..this made no difference.
It was extremley frustrating that towels were put out from 7am so you had no choice but to set your alarm to get up extremely early if you wanted a sunbed. Often many sunbeds reamined wth towels but unoccupied for long periods of time, blocking beds.
Very poor choice of bar snack menu for all inclusive and nothing healthy!
Entertainment at night for children above aged 6 was poor, adult entertainment average.

Best hotel so far we have stayed in. Can’t fault anything . Food was delicious, hotel was spotless ! We stayed half board as our food in last hotel wasn’t great but regretted our choice when we got there as so many good things on all inclusive we missed out on. Would love to go back. We found the area not the best for families but the hotel more than made up for it woth a huge array of things to keep you occupied if you fancied or you got left alone if you didn’t want to. They all worked massively hard .

I'd go back there for the food alone. Some of the best hotel food I've had anywhere, and considering the number of guests they have to process, as well as the many different nationalities visiting, I firmly believe they do a superb job. I was actually glad my wife and I were only on a half board basis, because if we were on full board, I'd probably be phoning Slimming World for a refresher course. A very light lunch meant we could fully appreciate the evening meals after a very good breakfast.

Our room was great and luckily I finally read the instructions and realised the aircon automatically switched off when we opened the balcony door. There was a kettle, microwave and fridge which did very well for us. In many continental hotels I've stayed in there aren't any coffee or tea making facilities so it was good to have them. The 711 store over the road has good basic stuff, and there's a big supermarket a little further away for other.

We hired a car through Expedia and had no problems with parking in the street outside the hotel. There isn't a bus service to Santa Euralia so it was useful for us to have, but probably younger people would walk it with ease.

Three minor issues:

The WiFi does not have sufficient bandwidth so you'd rather top up your phone's data to cope. The 4G I was linking to was very fast so I didn't have an issue and my UK provider made it easy to increase my data.

There isn't a beach so you might need to rely on the pool which is pretty big.

Good, but not that good:
- Door onto balcony from room was badly damaged. Logged at reception, but nothing done for the whole week.
- Bathroom finished to a poor standard - shower door had a very poor seal.
- Food got very repetitive by the end of the week.
- Hotel was very loud in the evenings. Doors slam, and as all 3 floors are open, there’s 3 floors worth of noise.
- Lots of additional costs - Safe was €20, beach towels €15.

Hotel ticks 4 star boxes re gym, indoor pool however dining room (and food) lacked appeal - room is a large characterless space and food was ok but limited in appeal. Was disappointed to find pool towels were not available to use free of charge - this very much gave a 3 star feel. Bedrooms was spacious and comfortable however bathroom felt dated (but was adequate). Staff friendly and overall stay was pleasant however I didn’t feel the quality was sufficient for the price. We stayed half board and I was relieved I hadn’t booked all inclusive as it gave me the opportunity to leave the resort for lunch.

Entertainment team Alex, Anne, Denise were lovely, v patient but enthusiastic. Will definitely return!

Beautiful hotel in excellent location

Absolutely loved this hotel! Had a side sea view and we were very impressed with the lovely views over the sea and even the other direction to the hills. 10 minute walk to town via streets or a lovely walk along the coast, harbour and promenade takes around 20 minutes. Excellent town centre with tons of places to eat and watch the world go by especially along the sea front and harbour. Pretty views from the sandy beach and a circular walk up the river to Puig de Missa. Hotel itself is excellent with friendly staff, nice new decor, great selection and quality of food (sit by the window for views of the sea), nice pool - for our needs I couldn't fault it and will be back!

Great value hotel, friendly staff

We stayed for a week over Easter. The hotel rooms have been nicely refurbished, clean, and white, but for some reason with very old microwaves? Beds are very hard and only one pillow (Extra supplied when asked for). Indoor pool is small, full with 10 or more people, not very warm and with too much chlorine, so kids ended up with stinging eyes very quickly. Food choice is very good in the restaurant. Freshly cooked, different options each night. The entertainment in the evening seems a little dated. Overall a good location to explore the island from. Suggest a car is essential

Overall we had a good break away . The rooms were comfortable and facilities ok. Bar and restaurant staff were very friendly. Animation team were fantastic with our children and made our holiday as weather wasn’t too good. Most disappointing was the food poor choice and like warm .

Nice enough but...

Overall ok, little distance to town where everything is. Bit expensive and not much to do. Kids club was ok, nice enough but breakfast at hotel was a must as other places were so far away. I'm not really blown away by the place, I would look for somewhere else next time but good enough for a few days

Excellent clean modern hotel

We stayed for a short Easter break, and although the rest of Ibiza was just warming up to the summer season, this hotel was lively with activities for children and adults alike. Our room was excellent, modem and clean . We did have a problem with the toilet during our stay, it stopped flushing, we reported it to reception, went out for something to eat and the problem was solved by the time we returned.We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, there was always plently of choice and the staff were constantly restocking items. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Clean, fresh and modern but...

Hotel was closing for the winter as we left so maybe that is why the internal flower beds were full of weeds and dead plants, but overall the hotel was spacious, fresh and clean and had friendly staff. Our only criticism is no drawers just shelves and a small wardrobe so nowhere to put things away tidily, very modern spartan and attractive decor but not practical for us anyway! Could do with a mirror with a light at the bedroom table to free up the bathroom for others. Great pool, lots of children, entertainment wasn’t great but again could be because it was the end of season. 15 minute walk into town, no local bars or restaurants for amusement.

Great hotel for families

We had I nice family holiday kids 7&11. Swimming pool big enough and lots of sun beds for everyone. Good food every day & all staff very friendly especially the entertainment people aldo/Anne/alexandro

Lovely quiet location with all the amenities

Hotel entertainment was great for the kids! Interacted with the guest to create a good atmosphere. Only thing I would suggest is that in the welcome package in the room, they put in there info about the kids club as we didn't realise until half way through our holiday! My daughter loved it once she got there! Great sea views from our room and food was fab, varied every day. Highly recomend this hotel.

Nice hotel good all-inclusive food good choice of the food very good help your self to wine and beer at lunch and dinner which is a good idea. Pool nice sun beds could do with up dating a bit past there best. Rooms very clean and up to date but the bathrooms could do with a bit of a up date. All in all and very good holiday for a week of rest

Perfect for families

We loved this hotel and would stay again which we never say. This hotel is perfect for families, the baby pool is a nice size to sit and paddle whilst kids play, good food with a good variety each day, good location to centre, approx 10/15 min walk to harbour, boat shuttle and bars and a easy bus ride to hippy market in other direction. All staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and welcoming.

I wouldn't stay here if I was a couple without kids as though as I think it's too kids orientated.

Great for young children.

Immaculately clean, great balance between child friendly and adult hotel. Entertainment staff were amazing always interacting with the children. Pool side rooms are noisy in evening due to outside entertainment so would recommend sea view room. Food was nice with lots of variety. Very good value for money. Will come again.

Fantastic terrace/ facilities, questionable food

3 night stay pre-season. Lovely newly renovated room with a stunning terrace (only a few rooms seem to have these) looking over the cove. Great pool, splash park and indoor pool with sauna and jacuzzi (fairly cold). Bland and inconsistent breakfast. Didn't see or hear any evening entertainment but kids activities were on in the day.

New hotel, great walking distance to town centre

Enjoyed the new clean, hotel. Breakfast was excellent, some facilities such as gym were poor (just a few worn out, gym items).
