Fantastic location and beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly. We got a room with the view on the chain bridge. It was magnificent at any time of the day. Very easy to work everywhere to Buda or Pest. Very nice Italian restaurant nearby by (Leon). We found the roof top a bit pricey but overall, very nice. Bathroom was a bit small and not the most functional for shower. I also stayed at the Mariott. The Clark is much more boutique/VIP feeling.

The best location in Budapest, rooms on the small side but hey that view! The rooms were super comfortable and service was superb. Be aware you need to book the rooftop bar/restaurant in advance and it is run by a separate company, although reception will assist with your booking. Highly recommended and good value for money.

Excellent experience and right at the centre of Budapest Castle. Staff and service are excellent and very friendly. Have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels in Budapest before and this was a much friendlier and inviting stay. Must book have a drink at their roof top terrace restaurant, the drinks are excellent and the view is epic!

This hotel has the wow factor wrapped up. From the first step inside the front door, your eye is attracted to the modern opulent and tasteful decor. Check-in was hassle free with a very warm and friendly welcome. The professional attitude and friendly demeanor of the staff exuded from every member of the team; a rare quality these days.
The premises are spotless, and rooms a credit to the housekeeping team. The evening turn-down service was a treat, with the most delicious chocolate.
Well located and within walkable distance of the castle district, visiting the Buda and Pest districts could not be easier with bus and tram routes close by, if walking is not you thing.
This is a must visit hotel and if unlucky enough to book a room when visiting, try to reserve a table in the rooftop bar. A reservation is necessary even for guests; a popular spot.
A good choice of hot and cold/ continental fare awaits your arrival for breakfast with optional orders available on request. Whenever you choose, take a seat in the bar area, select your favourite tipple, from a well stocked range of brands, or pick a cocktail and watch the experts prepare your drink with flair.
Would I stay again? Absolutely, but I imagine word will get out about this fantastic spot very soon.

Unfortunately, my stay at Clark’ hotel was far from ideal When I got to the room it smelled bad, I’ve been told it’s the sewage issue when the water was closed for couple of days - the solution to open the balcony door to ventilate ( it was about 1C or 34F outside). Coffee machine was broken. Noise from outside chiller or generator ( couldn’t figure out which one it was) went on all night long. Would I ever go back to this place - I guess not!

Wow! What a wonderful hotel! This was a wonderful spot for our recent trip to Budapest. A really great location for all of the sights and public transport. Every detail of this hotel was perfect, impeccably clean, attentive and helpful staff. We enjoyed the welcome drinks and the coffee machine in the room, chocolates left on our beds at night were a lovely surprise. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and are so pleased with our choice. Thank you for making our trip so social!

The hotel is beautiful! Great location just outside the chain bridge on the Buda side. Few steps to the lift to go up to Buda Castle. Walkable distance to pretty much most of the landmarks. Right on the Danube ( we chose the Danube superior room) offering amazing views of the Danube, chain bridge, parliament etc. Cool Bistro on the first floor and nice rooftop bar. Why 4 star then? The room itself!!! Not so much that it was a tiny room ( most rooms in Europe are small unless you splurge on a suite) but the set up didn’t make sense. Not enough space to walk. Space between bed and dresser was super tight, you have to pretty much walk sideways. Not enough room to lay down luggage. Shower glass stationary ¼ of a door did not keep the water inside when showering. Towels were like paper thin ( and they want you to reuse 🤔, not) One of the night stand was smaller than a dinner plate with enough room for your phone and glasses and nothing else. Hair blower looks like it came from a toy store. Bed was comfy though, but that’s about it. If you can upgrade to a big room do it. Shame because everything else in this hotel is a 10

Beautiful modern hotel in a historic city with fantastic views across the river to Pest and up to Buda. Helpful, knowledgeable staff are always smiling and courteous to make your stay all the more pleasurable to see a happy team at play. I would also like to thank all the behind-the-scenes staff who kept the hotel and facilities looking amazing and functioning like a well-oiled machine.

This is a wonderful hotel right in front of the Danube river. The rooms were cleaned and well kept by the staff. The breakfast buffet is a little bit expensive for the options offered, we opted for the à la carte instead. Other than that we had a wonderful time in Budapest.

Our stay at Hotel Clark was wonderful! We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was perfect, a quick walk across the bridge into the beautiful city. Not only this, the castle was only 4 minutes away. Just an overall great location and we could not of asked more from the hotel. Màtyàs was so helpful, he was so welcoming when we first checked in and was so accommodating with helping us to check out that little bit later. Thank you so much Màtyàs for all of your help and making our trip to Budapest very memorable!

Hotel was great. The rooftop dining personnel made us feel inadequate and somewhat less than. Had a reservation for dinner at 7 but we wanted to check the weather that night. When we did a walkthrough they looked at us like aliens, then else asked if the menu was same as downstairs in hotel, the hostess looked at me up and down and asked me if I was staying at the hotel? What does that have to do with anything? The look said it all; we canceled our reservation and will never go to that hotel/restaurant again.

Stayed here before. The only reason for downgrading 4 star to 5 star was the airport transportation. I had it added to my bill and was no issue arriving. However when departing at the last minute the woman checking me out said they don’t add airport transfers to bill. I had to pay the driver directly. Fortunately the driver accepted card or I wouldn’t have paid him. If the hotel has new policy on transfers mid stay it should be made aware to guests. Will stay elsewhere next time in Budapest. Although breakfast was still great.

Good location

Hotel Clark enjoys an excellent location within walking distance of the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle, making it convenient for sightseeing. The staff at reception were consistently friendly and helpful.

However, the room was quite small — even for a solo traveller — with limited space for luggage and poorly designed furnishings that made the space feel cramped. The bathroom was smelly. The view of the room overlooked a dull courtyard, which didn’t help the atmosphere.

While the hotel lacks a pool, it does offer a dry sauna. The rooftop Café boasts a lovely view, but the staff were unwelcoming and the food disappointing in both taste and was expensive.
