This hotel is unique, clean, and has amazing with restaurants on site. The breakfast is a buffet style with big selection of fresh options. Had dinner at the restaurant as well and absolutely everything we ordered was on point and delicious. The staff was super helpful, nice, and welcoming. The only bad part was that my stay was for a very short time. The courtyards are so beautiful. I will definitely plan to stay here in a near future

I was supposed to stay here for seven days eight nights and from the first look of it the room that they gave me did not even have a window air conditioner was broken place was super dirty so I went to the staff to try to get to see if they can refund me the money they will not even do that. I called Expedia Expedia trying to dispute, the cost honestly, I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place. It’s too far from the sites. It was awful.

This is a “tired” hotel with an unfriendly staff, good food in the restaurant and in a good location if traveling by car.

Proper maintenance is lacking such as missing or broken parts on doors and windows. And we had a hard time open the closet door.

This is a very pet friendly hotel and I almost tripped over a dog laying on the floor at breakfast. We got to see a nice dog fight in the lobby and listen to a happy poodle barking at people as they walked by during lunch.

We reserved the hotel through Expedia, along with 12 other hotels, during our travel in Italy. This is the only hotel that never returned any of my messages through Expedia.

When we arrived, desk person was very nice. They had a wedding going on so I had to park in a field behind the hotel. Other front desk people were not very helpful. The wait staff had “snooty” attitude.

We would not stay here again.

When our travel plans changed, we were very lucky to get two room at this hotel. A one night stay made us wish we had booked a whole week here. The hotel is easy reached, being only a short distance off a main highway. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in checking in/out and arranging dinner for us when we arrived late. All in all, a great stay and close to our travel goals in Tuscany.

The kids enjoyed the pool, it is a relaxing setting but the service could be a lot better. They certsinly dont make you feel appreciated for booking theough discount sites like expedia. Discounted service on discounted price, but the breakfast menu deserves praise.

Unfortunately we found the staff were not very hospitable. Also, when we arrived, many of the lights of the beautiful shared spaces were not turned on. We came in low season, and it felt like they were just trying to save money and not focus on the experience of the guests. Spa use was 40 euros each, which we didn’t end up doing because we didn’t consider it worth that price, which was disappointing, as we had hoped for a relaxing escape, but in the end, felt like there wasn’t so much to do in the hotel.

The interior was gorgeous, but we didn’t feel very taken care of by the staff. The walls were very thin and we could hear the guests next door very loudly, even the sound of their going to the toilet.

Perfect for relaxation or active holidays

Beautiful hotel with views of Monteriggioni. It seems like it's more suited to those with cars but there are bus stops for the 130 bus outside the hotel which connects it to Siena and San Gimignano.
Lots of activities on offer (we hired bicycles and cycled some of the via francigena).
Overall, very good for a relaxing break or for those who want to use the hotel as a base to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby castle towns of Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Volterra.

Well located, great stay for price!

Generally, the hotel room was nice, clean and updated. The bathroom shower needed a little attention. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice location, and great if you also have dogs as there is lots of green space. I would stay again!

Sweet gem of a hotel in Tuscany

The hotel was very pretty and in a quiet area right outside of the city center with a gorgeous view of the castle on the hill. We enjoyed our stay and wish we had more than just the one night. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with a lot of options. The pool area is very nice, though our only complaint is that they tried to charge us 5Euro for a pool towel. We passed and just used our room towels.

Hidden Gem in Tuscany

Great hotel of choice in the Monteriggioni area. They have a beautiful property with a restraunt on the premises. It appeared as we pulled into the property that there was not a hotel, only restraunt, but don't let that deter you from checking it out. It is a beautiful property with a stunning view of the castle up on the hill. We took recommendation from front desk and visited the restraunt they have in town of Monteriggioni ,Ristorante da Remo, as the hotel's restraunt was closed for lunch the day we visited. If this is any indication of the hotel's restraunt cuisine and service, you will not be disappointed. Room was beautifully appointed, as is the whole hotel. Antique furnishings, and paintings adorn the premises. Our room was a superior room which afforded us a great view of the pool. They had it lit up at night very nice, and even had water fountains spanning the pool for a short period during the dinner hour.

This hotel is a perfect place to stop for a restful night. The bed is super comfy and its exceptionally clean. The restaurant for dinner was lovely and the breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice. To add to that all the staff were reslly freindly and we could not have asked for more!

What a pleasant oasis.

What a pleasant place to stay. The rooms are big and airy, with pool side access, and chairs and table at the french windows to sit at, or under the many umbrellas and sunbeds, at the side of the pool. Plenty free car parking space, and pleasant grounds. The restaurant was also to be recommended.

We stayed at the hotel in early March for the Strade Bianche in Siena. It was absolutely fine for our purposes and we had a nice stay. However, there were a couple of small issues:-
- the wi-fi was out of action for the whole 3 days of our stay (first world problem)
- the check-in experience/front desk wasn't that great either but it's fair to say that we don't speak Italian so that probably doesn't help

Great Resort facilities, rooms and breakfasts!
Monteriggioni fortress is only 1km away and Florence is an easy 45 minutes.

Stayed 5 nights and did day trips to locations around the area. Lovely resort with excellent atmosphere for a quite get away. You need transport to get around and nearest eateries are a km or two away (some have odd opening hours and days). Lots of winery's and country drives. The restaurant and breakfasts were very good, and hotel has a sister restaurant at nearby castle.

Oh that magic feeling... Nowhere to go.

This is a quaint hotel, with truly lovely staff. If you were looking for somewhere to stay to get you in the mood for an italian wedding, this is place will definitely do this.

However, the region as a whole was lacking any kid of activity. Not even a place to take a stroll.

You may wonder what this has to do with the hotel. Well, with plenty of ground that just seems to be left fallow, they could definitely do more to facilitate this for guests staying more than a couple of nights.

If you are only staying for a couple of nights passing through, then this resort is fine.

We picked a night to stay during a wedding that had fireworks at midnight. We were exhausted and our children just wanted to sleep. The upstairs loft was warm and the fan that was brought in to help cool it down did work in any plugs up there. We missed breakfast due to sleeping in but the hotel made us breakfast anyway at no charge. The location is near a castle which was fun to eat at and if the wedding wasn't such a chaotic event I would have rated this higher. The beds were great but no tub in the bath.

End of a long walk.

We were only here one night. The location was as expected. The walls were paper thin, we could hear conversations clearly and a loud snorer all night, and this was supposed to be an upgraded room. Would not recommend this hotel if you need a good night's sleep.

Lovely hotel & grounds great for visiting sights

Easy to find, nicely thought out and tasteful hotel and pool area. We spent daytime by the pool and left for Siena, San Giminiano, etc. in the late afternoons. Nice breakfast and poolside snacks at lunchtime. We also ate in their restaurant one evening which was pretty and had a very good menu. Staff are lovely and helpful. If we had stayed longer than just 4 days our teenagers would have liked a tennis court or table tennis. there is plenty of space!

Recommended, but bring ear plugs

The hotel was beautiful and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Unfortunately the walls were a little thin so we could hear our snoring neighbor. Also, the wifi doesn't work in most of the rooms so you had to go to the lobby. However, parking is very easy, and the grounds are gorgeous. Also, we visited Volterra, Siena and San Germagno and Monteriggioni turned out to be our favorite so the location is great. The hotel is located on a busy road so you have to drive to the base of the town.

Could be better!

The positives are the following:
1)The location is very good
2) the swimming pool is fine.
3)The staff is friendly and tried his best to make the guess happy.

The negatives are the following:
1)The hotel need serious refurbishment. No hot water at times and the bath was falling apart.
2) The restaurant food is terrible quality.
3) Stop to charge for towels and anything that is usually included in hotels. It's petty behaviou and upset customers.

Wonderful Quiet Location

I had stayed at this hotel 5 years ago when I was on a tour of Italy. I feel the location is great and they have free parking but the service has gone down. We were at the hotel 3 days and it was not until the third day that we found out that the breakfast was included in the price of our room. This information was not given at check-in. Your room card turned on the lights and turned then off when you left the room. The problem is that it also turned off the air conditioning in the room. The temperature during the day was over 90 degrees so when you returned the room was hot and you could not get it cool before you were ready to go to bed. This is an expensive hotel and this should is unacceptable. The staff spoke very little English which is unusual for the area and the number of American tourists in this area. I would not return.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt! Das großzügige Familienzimmer hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Großer Pool, der auch Mitte September noch geöffnet war. Zentrale Lage, in 15-20 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in Siena oder Colle di Val d‘Elsa, in weniger als 10 Minuten am Stadttor von Monteriggioni. Toskana Feeling pur!
Einzig beim Frühstück gibt es noch Luft nach oben - bitte mehr Auswahl an Brot, den alten Toaster gegen ein neues Modell tauschen (es dauert einfach ewig und man steht Schlange für eine Scheibe Toast) und gern auch vegetarische oder vegane Optionen anbieten in Zukunft.

Hôtel situé entre Florence et Sienne. Le service est très professionnel. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. La carte du restaurant est variée et les plats sont goûteux. La chambre avec mezzanine est grande. La literie est confortable. Un léger bémol : la douche cabine est petite. Il n’y a pas d’espace attitré pour poser ses affaires de toilettes.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Das Personal war überaus freundlich. Die Poolanlage verfügt über bequeme Liegen und genügend Sonnenschirme. Das Restaurant ist schön und die Speisen waren ganz hervorragend. Der Barkeeper war super und hat sich total gefreut, wenn man sich mit ihm unterhalten hat. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut, aber die Säfte aus dem Automat waren wässrig. Der Kaffee war ok. Das Hotel bietet gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Nach Monteriggioni sind es mit dem Auto ca. 5 Minuten. Zum Laufen wäre es nicht weit, aber man muss an der Straße entlang laufen - nachts nicht ganz ungefährlich. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen und können das Hotel bedenkenlos von Herzen weiterempfehlen.

Ho provato la spa in esclusiva per 80 min., ma non è un’area riservata, c'è il.passaggio di gente che credo vada in palestra. Sono anni che frequento questa struttura con la famiglia ed è sempre piacevole tornarci. Camere decorose e molto pulite, personale gentile e disponibile, zona piscina comoda e ideale per i bambini. Camere pulite personale cortese colazione????? Chi tardi arriva nulla trova. Diversi vassoi vuoti, perché le cose esaurite non venivano sostituite. La nostra camera affacciava verso il bosco, però non è presente all'esterno nessun tipo di illuminazione.

L'hotel il Piccolo Castello è una struttura deliziosa a due passi da Monteriggioni. La piscina è il punto strategico dell'hotel, l'area andrebbe potenziata con più servizi, soprattutto la zona bar. Buona e abbondante la colazione. La stanza da bagno che ci è toccata in sorte avrebbe bisogno di una messa a nuovo, soprattutto la vasca che presenta parecchi segni d'usura.

Hotel strategico con diversi servizi utili

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte . Posizione comoda poco distante da superstrada. Parcheggio e servizi in generale buoni. Unico neo il wifi che funzionava a singhiozzo. Colazione di discreta qualita e scelta. Buon rapporto qualita prezzo. Anche il ristorante risulta di un buon livello forse con prezzi non troppo in linea alla qualità. Giudizio generale positivo

rooms are perfect for a family of 4. it's very quiet and the swimming pool is large and nice. Very well located and easy to reach. Breakfast was perfect as well.

2* Hotel aber sicher kein 4* Hotel. Für 130 Euro die Nacht eine Frechheit. Einzig positiv und 5 Sterne für den sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Herr an der Rezeption und die sehr gute Zimmerreinigung.

Zimmer: Erbärmlich, keine Lüftung im Bad bzw. funktioniert nicht, kein Mülleimer im Zimmer, man muss alles in den kleinen Badmülleimer werfen. Terrasse seit Jahrzehnten nicht gereinigt, altes Laub und Dreck, kein Tisch und nur ein Stuhl draußen (für ein Doppelzimmer). Matratzen steinhart und unbequem ohne Ende. Außerdem Zimmer extrem hellhörig. Uralte Einrichtung, leider nicht nostalgisch und romantisch alt, sondern nur alt. Im Zimmer zur Begrüßung zwei billige Plastikflaschen im Kühlschrank. Ein 4* Hotel sollte hier eine Glasflasche mit zwei Gläsern anbieten und dazu einen Keks oder Gummibärchen legen, nichts davon ist hier vorhanden. Keine Infozettel im Zimmer zu WLAN, zum Hotel, zu Aktivitäten in der Region, kein \"herzlich willkommen\" Zettel, nichts. Kein Wasserkocher mit Tee oder löslichem Kaffee im Zimmer, für 4* eigentlich selbstverständlich. Dusche ist für Zwerge, aber nicht für Menschen.

Frühstück schwach, nur 1 Käsesorte, kein Brot, keine Semmeln, nur Toast vorhanden. Kein Frischkäse, keine Margerine, keine Tomaten, Gurken etc.. Es gibt Eier aber keine Eierbecher, die heißen Eier pellen wird dann eine Herausforderung. Keine Mülleimer am Tisch. Das bisschen was es gibt schmeckt aber gut.

Pool ekelhaft verdreckt, Zigaretten Stummel im Blumenkübel. Parkplatz ungepflegt.
