Conditioner in shower didn't work, told staff and nothing was done. There nights.
Pool area has 5 chairs after that you lay on the ground. Something in the bottom of the pool looked like a mini diaper and water wasn't heated.

Check-in was super slow. Road noise was very clearly heard in the room all night long. Neighbors were loud until 2am and staff did nothing about it after calling them multiple times. The free bottle of wine, that you may be offered, is a $4 bottle of wine. The walk to the beach is at least a 10-15 walk. There is nowhere to use the restroom while on the beach.

I was a little hesitant about our forthcoming stay at the hotel due to some poor reviews. I should not have worried. The stuff was lovely the hotel room was terrific and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner met our requirements perfectly. And did I say how good the location was …. It was spot on 5 to 10 min walk to Lincoln Road, Espanola Way, and Ocean Drive. It was also convenient for the free Trolley Bus stopping at Lincoln Road and Washington ….. I would have no hesitation in staying at the hotel again… thanks to Lianet and Sotomayor for the lovely welcome ….

#1- front desk staff never answered phone when trying many days and different times ahead of arrival. Even customer service representative tried to connect us four times and could not get the phone answered.
#2- front desk staff was cold, condescending and very unfriendly. I give A+ for ATTITUDE, and not in a good way. Even when you enter the lobby, the front desk staff is sitting so low behind the front counter that You can’t even tell that there’s someone working the counter. It’s like their HIDING from actually doing work. WHERE is the manager to observe this????

Location was perfect with tons of options for eating and shopping nearby. We also really enjoyed our room as we were on the top floor (9th) and had a nice view of the ocean. We would highly recommend this property and would most certainly stay again.

The location is great, but the logistics are a nightmare.
While the hotel is situated near great cafes and the beach, the interior is a mixed bag: the lobby is welcoming, but the rooms are small, damp, and accessed via dated hallways. However, the biggest deterrent is the service. The valet was nowhere to be found, and the front desk staff provided conflicting, incorrect directions to the non-existent valet—even confusing basic local cross-streets like 16th and Collins. We eventually gave up on finding the non-existent valet, and found a much cheaper public garage nearby. Save yourself the stress and avoid this hotel if you are traveling with a car. And if the hotel is seeking feedback, here it is: hire a new valet service. What you have currently is a joke.

Small hotel, great breakfast for purchase, sit outside, people watch while you eat, super location, there is only one check in person at any time (smaller hotel) so it can get backed up if you are an impatient person be aware. There were a few things - like no fresh flowers that were a little suprising and the towels were a little stiff - but did not impact overall stay. Beach access and service was fantastic. Beach drink/food service by Loews was great perk!

The room was clean. The beds were firm and kind of hard. The oversize pillows were too much but I was able to ask for regular sized pillows. There was a lot of noise outside during the night which kept me up. The night clerk during the week day was very welcoming, however the day clerk (I believe her name was Genesis) who was not very helpful and kind of cold in her mannerisms. I probably will not stay there again

The only thing, I had to wait for them for hours to bring our free bottle of wine other than that fantastic..ps NOT on the beach. Across the street and couldn’t see because of other buildings. We were situated on the first floor and it is very loud - you can hear everything going on in the lobby and all going on around the room. I would request a room not on the first floor.
Pool was beautiful.
Also room advantage of the two chairs on the beach which was great. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance to lots of fun areas.

Room was spotlessly clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. The only issue was the loud noise of ac/heater when the unit was on. Once we fell a sleep, it did not bother us. Pool area was excellent.There are filtered water bottle refill stations on 1st and 4th floors. Glass refill bottle was also provided in the room. Hotel is walking distance to almost every thing. Free trolley bus stop is a block away. Very lively area with full of people. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, this was pretty good and was what we needed. A few items that kept us from giving 5 stars:

- Our shower leaked everywhere onto the floor when in use. We discovered that the first day when I left my clothes immediately outside the door.
- The hallway on our floor smelled terrible - like incense or an industrial cleaner. The room smelled fine but there was something amiss in the hallway. It lasted the entire time we were there.
- The food for breakfast was really good, however, the restaurant waitstaff seemed much less attentive to those with room vouchers (including us). I'm still waiting for coffee creamer. I expect this has something to do with tips, versus walk-in paying customers. We didn't eat there the last two days our stay. But the food was very good!

But overall, the experience was nice, the rooms and housekeeping were nice, and the location was great. We'd stay there again, but would prefer a few details get fixed.

Waves Berkeley Shore is good within its price range. The rooms are typical of this price range. Keep in mind that the "resort fee" adds over $30 per night to the price.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff was helpful. The location is excellent - 16th and Collins.

Skip the restaurant. We had a terrible lunch for 2 for over $50 and we only ordered wraps.

The gym is mediocre. I as there on business so I didn't use the pool.

The women at the front desk was unfriendly and unhelpful, with no welcoming attitude. At check-in, I waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone appeared at the desk. Valet service was also disappointing—it took about 40 minutes to retrieve our car, and the attendant was rude when asked about the delay. Additionally, the property is difficult to locate as it sits behind a restaurant and lacks clear or visible signage from the street. The room was nice and clean.

I decided to stay here for my birthday and I loved it. The rooms very clean, I had a complimentary wine although I don't drink, I appreciated it nonetheless. I absolutely LOVED the breakfast, every day I chose something new and everything tasted good. I have since recommended this hotel to a friend who is visiting Miami soon, and he already confirmed his booking. Oh, let me also say that all members of staff were very welcoming, courteous and very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend and it's in a great spot too.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Iberostar Waves Berkeley Shore! From the moment we arrived, the service exceeded all expectations. The hotel is modern, clean, and perfectly located near the beach, restaurants, and all the best parts of South Beach.

A special shoutout to Abdullah—he was truly amazing. He was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Every interaction with him was genuine, and he made our stay feel extra comfortable and memorable.

The rooftop pool was peaceful, the rooms were spotless, and the beach service was a huge bonus. Overall, our experience was lovely, and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Miami!

As Gold members of Hotels.com and part of Iberostar’s The Club, we expected at least a basic level of attention. We had requested early check-in for a one-night stay... not only was this ignored, but no one acknowledged the request during check-in.

The front desk staff lacked empathy and professionalism. Instead of assisting guests, they were seen chatting and replying to voice notes on their phones.

Our room showed clear signs of wear: rusty trash can, chipped wood, and questionable cleanliness. For a supposedly 4-star hotel, maintenance was subpar.

We also had another reservation for two more nights the following week, but were told they do not offer luggage storage... a basic and essential service, especially for returning guests.

Needless to say, we canceled the upcoming stay and will not be returning. Very disappointing experience.
