Convenient Stay near Metz

This was a functional stay to break a journey from Calais to Germany. From the outside it looks really dated but we were given a warm welcome by reception.

The room itself was a bit sparse and the curtains had holes so I think the hotel needs a facelift inside and out.

However the staff were great and we enjoyed a nice breakfast.

2nd stay of this holiday, very disappointed regarding breakfast prior to 9.am with not enough selection of very limited items. Staff were not available to ask for replenishing the hot and cold items as they were smoking.

The staff was very nice. The beds were so comfortable that we both slept late the next day! The soaking tub is a nice feature after travelling. Highly recommend.

This hotel is well positioned for the main highway. The staff are helpful. The rooms are quite spacious with a large window. Very comfortable bed. I didn’t like the pillows but I still slept soundly. Food was good in the restaurant. All very good in all areas

It was very good stay. Nice and clean hotel. Good decor. Breakfast had good selection. Nice patio. It has on site restaurant and bar. We arrived late after restaurant was closed but they accommodated us and brought us very nice salads. It was very good service.
One complaint is that air conditioner was not as powerful and only particularly cooled the room.

This hotel is pointless! It is situated in an industrial area with a charm of the spaghetti junction in the UK. The hotel is still very run down despite some effortless attempts to do a bit of upgrade work in the lobby. These minor tweaks to the front desk don’t take away the fact that the rooms are ready for demolition. When we arrived, we instantly noticed that the Aircon was not working making the room boiling hot all night. We also noticed that there in the “none smoker” room was a very heavy smell of smoking. The cleaning staff must surely have noticed? We gave up complaining as the guy that was in the reception didn’t speak a word of English and thought we was talking about football results in Venezuela, so we gave up.
The worst part of this hotel was the restaurant. I won’t call it a restaurant but seemed more like a motorway filling station cafeteria, however when it comes to prices this place believe it is the Ritz. We were initially served by a very grumpy member of staff which rolled her eyes when we pointed out that our table was unsteady. Another member of staff told us about the marvellous food they prepared and suggested a special burger which was indeed very special as this is the worst burger I have had to date.
The only positive was the young man behind reception when we arrived. He was very kind, helpful, spoke good English and gave us a great welcoming.
Not a good place to stay. Overpriced and run down. Shame

Road Warrior - Home for the Night

Stayed at Ibis whilst driving down from Holland to France. Easy access. Nice dinner. Nice sleep. Very good breakfast and back on the road. Would recommend for similar traveler.

Dog friendly and close to motorway.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We were on a long road trip and this is the perfect place to stop. Dog friendly and there is great area for dogs within hotel grounds. French breakfast was buffet style, lovely and freshly prepared . We will stay here again .

Didnt realise how basic places can get. No comfort whatsoever after a very long journey. Room very poor, bathroom adequate, WiFi poor. Restaurant dreadful. Tried to charge twice for room, already paid thru Hotel.com plus tried to charge for items not consumed in restaurant. No manager available in evening or next morning - in hiding in my opinion. One receptionist did her best to help but will avoid Ibis like the plague in future. Not a cheap hotel as we had cheaper in France and Germany on our holiday but much better rooms, facilities and trained personnel. Had to show the bar-lady what Calvados was. I suppose it is 100 mile from Normandy.

I was traveling thro' France to Switzerland/Italy. Needed a one night stop over. Booked on the basis of you know what to expect with an Ibis. It served my purpose. Clean, comfortable and good service. Rooms are basic. Good breakfast ( extra) - location was a bit off putting. Nothing local at all as far as I could see - you would not want to go for a walk etc. But as a stopover it was fine

Mal schnell nach Metz

Einfaches Hotel, aber alles was man für einen eher kurzen Familienaufenthalt benötigt ist verfügbar. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist gut, wenn auch etwas teuer. Die Lage des Hotels am Rande von Metz ist verkehrsgünstig, die Innenstadt ist mit dem Express-Bus, der unmittelbar neben dem Hotel abfährt, gut zu erreichen.

Je suis déçue...les prestations diminue ... pas de boite mouchoir dans la salle de bain ..une seule serviette par personne ... les receptionistes pas formés... depuis quand on règle un hotel à l'arrivée! Le resto du soir tres bien au top ...mais impossible de mettre sur la chambre ...il a fallu réglé la note au resto...
Au ptit dej personne ne nous a demande notre numéro de chambre !
Sinon bel hotel joli deco , des petits salons sympa... un baby foot ...jeu d'echec... belle cheminée avec feu 🔥 du coup note 5/10

Die Spuren der Jahren machen sich mehr und mehr sichtbar, das Verhältnis preis Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht, ich übernachte in diesem Hôtel mehr mals pro Jahr aber mein letzte Übernachtung war so schrecklich dass ich nie wieder hin gehen werde. Frühstück Buffet war um 8:05 bis 8:30 so miss !!! Vieles leer und kein Personal da mit dem man was besprechen kann, es wird leider nur gespart shade

J'ai été très déçu par la propreté! Les sols du restaurant sont sales, la moquette aux étages est sale avec des saletés, terre et poussières. Il n'est tout de même pas compliqué de passer un coup de balai ou un coup d'aspirateur tous les jours, c'est un minimum, même pour un Ibis.

Flur, lift, Zimmer und Bad haben relativ schmuddelig gewirkt. Bad hat viele altersbedingte Flecken, Kalk und sonstige Ablagerungen. Der Teppich und Vorhänge im Zimmer wirken dann ebenso. Auf unserem Roadtrip war dies die schlechteste Unterkunft,aber nicht die günstigste. Leider war es aber in Netz und Umgebung schwierig für 100 euro Übernachtung etwas besseres zu bekommen.

GPS pas dans le coup

Très agréable....seul problème l'impossibilité de trouver l'hotel avec le GPS d'une Citroën de moins de 3 ans...
En désespoir de cause nous avons appelé l'hôtel qui nous a rassuré (vous n'êtes pas les premiers) et gentiment indiqué la route...et Google Maps a alors pris le relai.

Je me suis rendu compte que le chauffage ne fonctionne pas a 22h20, l'hôtel était au courant mais il nous a pas prévenu, le 21.12.21 il a fait moins 5 degrés la nuit.... Pas de couverture en plus ds la chambre ..... Pas très honnête de leurs part

Chambre vieillissante, plus du tout au gout du jour, mauvaises odeurs dans la chambre, chauffage ne fonctionnait pas bien, salle de bain dans son jus avec baignoire et son rideau de douche qui vous colle au corps etc....
Bref la chambre mérite un vrai coup de jeune.
En revanche le cadre des parties communes est plutôt sympa, la literie est plutôt bonne
