We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was excellent...small room but that is the norm for Europe and we did pay for budget room. The hotel is in a perfect spot to walk from the train station and walkable to the rest of the city as well. Except for the grouchy IT-like guy on in the morning everyone at this hotel was amazing to interact with. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Make sure you leave your eggs boiling for longer as the 3 minute rule doesn't seem to work with the machine they have lol.

Likes - Location, breakfast, secure underground parking although you need to book in advance, we had the disabled room, although we are not disabled, hence we had a larger room with huge wet room.
Dislikes - room a bit basic and worn, like a travelodge that has seen better days, grumpy receptionist, male, on arrival really made you feel welcome, not.

A really great stay. A very friendly welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great value. Although you had to pay for the car park it was very secure and off the street. It is brilliantly close to the centre of Metz which we thought was a great city. It is a great stopover if you are travelling to Italy or beyond.

The hotel is about 9 minutes walk from the Metz railway station, but some road maintenance work is doing around the hotel which made it a little bit inconvenient to walk around. Hotel staff were polite & nice, air conditioning was good & quiet, breakfast with lots of choices. I definitely recommend this hotel & will stay again in the future.

The reception was excellent. The receptionist gave us information about the hotel and the city. It was a great welcome.
The hotel has no laundry service. That is the only inconvenience I found but I can manage. I highly recommend this hotel. It has an excellent dining room with great menu.

Perfectly situated for the Christmas Markets in a lovely part of Metz.

Very comfortable beds, but bathroom was in need of an update.

Room smelt slightly like cigarette smoke but we were able to air the room out and it was fine!

The rooms are small but worked for us. We did miss having a mini fridge in the room. I know there is not a lot of room but under the desk would work perfectly. The staff overall was good but we did not get a welcoming feeling. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of communication about the restaurant hours. We came down one evening to see if they could seat us and we were told it was closed to the public for a private group. We saw no signs and had stopped in earlier asking to see a menu. A little information about the closure would have been nice.

Excellent location for us, short walk to the sights, bars and restaurants. The hotel was easy to find and there's a subsidised car park close to the hotel. Our room was compact, but clean and comfortable. The hotel has parking, but we didn’t find it. However, there are a number of car parks nearby. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the old town with numerous bars and restaurants. A great place to stay on a visit to Metz.

We stayed two nights at the Kyriad and for the most part enjoyed our stay. I would caution others that the room walls are not sound proof. The people in the neighboring room complained that our 1 year old was crying. The management made a point to say something to us twice, but seemed understanding that there wasn't much more we could do about it when he had only cried for a minute each time. Granted... there were other families and their children who we could hear so maybe it was one of them? Any way, the take away - Not Sound Proof.
The onsite parking garage is underground so keep that in mind. If you have anything larger than a small SUV, you may want to take advantage of off-site parking.
Otherwise, our stay was pleasant. The room, although small, was sufficient for our needs. The staff were nice and accommodating. Other than slight hiccup with neighbors, we really did enjoy our stay.

Hotel was in a decent location, a bit of a walk from the touristy parts of the city. The lobby was nice and seemed to be recently updated, but the rooms were a bit dated and the condition was only fair. For example, bedsheets were clean and good-smelling, but were a little threadbare in places. Carpet in the room seemed a bit worn, etc. Nothing that was too significant, but not altogether an updated, modern hotel room.

Pulled in as the bike was overheating, and booked the nearest spot.
Good location, quiet but a short-ish, uphill walk to the cathedral. Metz is a nice city.
No parking at the hotel. Recommended not to leave the bike out front. Paid parking is only a couple of hundred metres away. Which you cannot get in outside of normal hours. And this was over Easter. You can wait for someone to exit.
Didn't have breakfast, and the restaurant was closed.

Great location small rooms.

This hotel had a very small room, even by European standards. It was clean and quiet. Has A/C though I don’t believe it worked. We were there in April so it was not too warm. We had 2 carry on bags and a small backpack each and it filled the room. The beds were a bit hard for my comfort. Breakfast was very good and convenient. Parking is hard to find on the street but available under the hotel for 9 euro per night. The location is excellent.

While hard to find, you cannot beat the price or the location. The beds though - wow. The mattresses of our two beds have not been replaced for a while, so there were large dips in both of them - kinda hard to get comfortable when it feels like you're in a hammock most of the night, but otherwise this was as usual a fine little hotel for the price.

Good location in Metz: a peaceful small street close to the railway station as well as to the museums and tourist sights. My room looked on a quiet and particularly pleasant yard with a horse-chestnut tree in full bloom and some historical buildings on the other side.
The room was convenient.
I appreciated the water-heater with teas, coffee and a small amount of milk in the room.
The WiFi was the best/safest I've experienced in *** hotels because it was encoded with my own password and there was no need to login each day.
PS: I was there in May, when neither heating nor cooling was necessary in the room.

Overpriced for what you get. Be careful about the night service. I arrived at the hotel after 11pm after an evening out, and had to ring the doorbell four times and wait 5-10 minutes before the concierge arrived. No apology for that either.

good location . when i booked for 2 nights it was advertised with a discount but when i checked in , the first night was at the discount rate but the second night was charged at very close to the top rack rate in high season. we were there the first part of november. make sure you get a price for your entire stay.

Very small room! The elevator didn't work. The non smoking rooms smelled like smoke. The air conditioning wasn't too bad. The showers were also very tiny. There is parking nearby and it's located in walking distance to the center and is in a nice neighborhood.

This is a very good hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast is good and at a reasonable price. The rooms are small and as you would expect for the price bracket but the bed was very comfortable there was a kettle etc and a good, though small, shower. It also had secure underground parking which you should reserve in advance

le principe de la douche à l'italienne est interessant quand l'eau s'evacue correctement et que les toilettes ne partagent pas le même espace... une fois la douche prise, l'ensemble de la salle de bain est resté humide une bonne partie de la journée faute de ventilationce qui n'est pas pratique pour aller aux toilette sans risquer de mouiller le reste de la chambre... seul point positif : la situation de l'hôtel permet de visiter tout Metz à pied le temps d'un week-end

Les poignée de chambre et de salle de bain était un peu pendante pas tres rassurant l'ensemble était très bien juste très peu de poussière sur quelque rebord. Le personnel était accueillant et bien explicatif dommage que les cocktails ne sont pas servis jusqu'à la fermeture du barmerci.
