We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance 9a long walk) of Rome Termini, but wound up taking a cab to get to it. We were quite happy with our stay, though the room was small. We particularly recommend the restaurant across the street and to the right (unfortunately I don't remember its name). It had delicious food, including gluten-free pasta and regular (i.e, with gluten) desserts. The hotel staff arranged a taxi to take us to Fiumicino airport, a trip of a little less than an hour.

We were really happy with this hotel! It was less than ten mins to reach the hotel from Termini Station, and the location is great as it seemed much more quiet than the touristy areas of the city.
The hotel staff that checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. It was a quick and easy arrival.
Our room was great! We had booked a room with two beds and a balcony, which was really large and overlooked the city below (we were on the 5th floor).
The room was modern, clean, and quiet.
Breakfast was fine, in a nice dining room and attentive staff.
Perfect location to explore Rome on foot. The hop-on-hop-off buses and city buses were just around the corner.
We would definitely stay at Hotel Windrose again, the next time we visit Rome!

Firstly, Paolo could not have been more helpful😊. He booked our cab to the airport for our departure back to Canada, our driver Alex was wonderful. Paolo also helped us with bus transportation to the Vatican and back. Both Paolo and Max were very accommodating for pur needs during our stay. The hotel is an easy walk from the Tremini where we arrived by train. We were also blessed to be have an early check in on our arrival. I was recommend the Windrose for your stay in Rome💗

Great stay in Rome!

We loved the location (not very touristy but with good restaurants and in walking distance of the biggest sights). The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff members were helpful. We liked that breakfast was included (though the selection was somewhat limited). The rooms were small, but we’d perhaps expect that in Rome. We’d highly recommend staying here!

Cozy, clean, fair prices, B&B, very nice staff, close to main attractions, close to the main train station ( Roma Tremini), has one of the best restaurants in front of it ( La famiglia restaurant )

My only issue was ( no kettle , no fridge, no iron in the room) but we managed it.

Lovely boutique hotel minutes from Termini Rail!

The Windrose was a lovely, well priced property, not a 10 minute walk from Rome’s Termini rail station. The very pleasant staff spoke good English, and received me warmly. I was early to check in, so they kindly kept my luggage for me in a secure room without any extra charge. I chose a single room, but found it roomy, comfortable, and very pleasant with a large attractive bathroom and an even larger balcony that was accessible through tall French doors. A very nice continental breakfast was included and served tastefully on nice dishes in a very attractive breakfast room large enough for all of the guests. The lobby and , a couple of small sitting rooms are very attractive and look much more upscale than the price suggests. Overall, it was an excellent stay.

Good basic hotel close to Termini

A good basic hotel close to the Termini. Location is good, lots of restaurants close by. The room assigned to me was good. Basic, but I had access to a balcony, which was an added bonus! Showers were small, but it was fine. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Good basic breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

Initially we were put into the tiniest room Ever !! you could not get into your suitcase it was so small, after talking with management we were moved to a slightly larger room which was an improvement , the dining room is tiny for the size of the hotel. Good eats around, not far from station

Property is conveniently situated near Termini Station which connects bus, train and metro lines. Hotel Windrose is clean and airy. We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was staffed by friendly and skilled hosts. The only draw backs were the small and stuffy elevator and the even smaller shower. One almost needs to be slathered with grease to be able to slide between the sliding, corner glass doors. And pray that you don’t drop anything!

Location was great. Clean room, nice air conditioning, breakfast was included and it was good, just housekeeping needed a bit improvement. We stayed for 4 nights, and everyday I had to go to the reception and asked for bath towel or soap or toilet paper. Very nice people at reception.

Everything was great . The customer service was good, but there was a lack for some person a smile when greeting. For the rest everything was perfect. The boss was very nice. The evening maid at the customer service was very helpful and smiling . If i have to return to Rome I will return to the same hotels

Price is acceptable and I got upgrade room as bed for 3 people can stay but we are couple...that’s cool...Breakfast is nice especially coffee is nice but Breakfast room is too small for guest so some have to wait...should be improve.
Have deposit luggage room so don’t worry if you are in room early morning.

this is my third stay at this hotel The only off putting thing about the hotel is the small cramped breakfast room. You can't enjoy your breakfast when you see people standing waiting to pounce onto your table as soon as you move. The room is so small there is just no elbow room makes unpleasant eating. The hotel is located close to Termini station & tourist hop on / hop off bus stops . The breakfast was ok but the hotel lacked overall character . Room was relatively small especially the bathroom and there was a lot of noise from the street below & the adjacent restaurants ( we had to keep the windows open in the night as it was still warm during October and no AC was available ) . Overall experience was OK .

Very friendly and comfortable Hotel. Any concerns were looked after immediately. Breakfast was tasty. I enjoyed the coffee and cappuccino. Location is not close to most tourist attractions but we used the subway. Worked great from Republicca metro station.

Our stay here was very good while we were in Rome. It is worth specifically mentioning that one of the people at the front desk, Levia, was absolutely fantastic! She was a fount of information and suggestions on what to do and see in our limited time, and we followed her suggestions and were not at all disappointed! She and the other man who worked at the front desk both were easily accessible, approachable, and willing to help in whatever way they could, whether it was scheduling tours, calling a cab, or making restaurant recommendations and reservations for us.

The room, although sufficient and spacious enough, could really use some updating, and lacked in comfort, by American standards. The beds and pillows were much too hard, and the \"couch\" (which was actually a twin folded-up futon bed) was very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. The bathroom, although spotlessly clean, was cramped.

The location was conveniently close to the main train station, and it was an easy walk, even toting our wheeled luggage. Most of the other attractions in Rome however, seemed to be a very long walk away, at least 30 minutes to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. The area around the hotel was great for souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores.

Clean hotel close to Roma Termini

Booked this hotel as it's just walking distance from the main railway and bus station in Rome. Convenient for those who carrying large or many luggage. Me and my husband reached around 11am+ and wanted to try our luck to check in early as we did in Florence and other places, however the hotel staff insisted that check in time is 2pm and requsted us to deposit the luggage into a luggage room at ground floor.

After 2pm and finished a simple walking tour nearby we managed to check in with no fuss. In the room it was clean and tidy, the toilet was spacious but the shower area i find it's quite narrow (i'm a 158cm 50kg Asian girl). No bottled shampoo was provided (guess the one mounted on the wall was top-to-toe body wash). As per other Italian hotels, there is no water boiler and panty in the room. The glasses were neatly places on the basin in the washroom. The bed was a normal size double bed (neither queen nor king). We could hear next door \"closing\"(slamming) the doors in the morning, and even sneezing sound. Perhaps should put more effort in noise reduction.

Hotel was good, we had an issue with the shower door not on properly, but we went down to reception and they moved us to a new room straight away. Good location from train station where you can also get hop on hop off bus from! We paid €28 for 48 hours!

Good value for money hotel with exceptional front office staff. Room was clean but along with European hotel rooms, a little on the small side especially our triple room. Bathroom and especially shower was very small but adequate. Breakfast consisted of a basic selection and the facility had limited capacity which required lining up most mornings for a seat. It was only available until 9.30am too. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the central location and friendly staff.

Our stay at this hotel was great, except for one of the receptionist, (Edward) who we asked to place a call for us and he declined (when the gentleman before him said he would do, unfortunately we did not have the phone number at that time) he also declined when we wanted to pay the taxes saying it was too late and we had to do it in the morning (it was only 10 pm)

The little restaurant directly across the street, owner and waiters are rude and unaccomodating - food not so good either. Venture out for food - Romana just around the corner is excellent warm staff and great food and tiramisu made by the waiters mama was amazing!

Nice, small hotel in the heart of Rome near Termini station. Easy access to transport, very helpful staff, nice family restaurant opposite the hotel.
Clean and comfy rooms but very uncomfortable pillows! Hard as stone!
Also the breakfast restaurant very tiny, you basically sit on someone's back. Same menu every morning, very boring but in overall OKAY.

The main issue we had with the hotel was the the very uncomfortable bed. It was rock hard and the sheets were quite scratchy. The breakfast buffet is not the best. The first morning we ate there the bread seemed a bit stale. We wanted a non smoking room, which we got, but that is negated when everyone else seems to smoke in the building regardless. That seems pretty common in Euope though.

The staff are friendly and the hotel is an easy walk to the train station and various restaurants and attractions.

Mediocre hotel close to Roma Termini

I had accidentally booked a single room, when what I needed was a double room. It was my mistake booking a single room.

I had a bad experience at the hotel during my check-in due to me booking a wrong room-type. Of course, I was willing to pay extra for a double room but the receptionist at the hotel was not courteous with us, we felt pressured to accept the 4 bed room.

Perhaps, the only room available at that time was the 4 -bed room but I was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of courtesy from the receptionist.

Another receptionist at another time was very nice with us, but unfortunately the check-in experience spoiled the stay for me. I would not be recommending this hotel to others.

My family stay in the hotel for 3 days. It is a very nice hotel. Staffs are very helpful, hotel is clean. Good location.

Two tips, you can get Rome map from the hotel and it is a few minutes walk to La Romana which we had the best gelato in Rome.
By the way, I don't like the restaurant across the street, I can't figure out how they charge service fee.
