Pros - The room was large, the bed was big and comfortable, the wifi was good, the staff were helpful, the location was excellent (walk 1-3 mins to access Soi 4, Soi 8 and Sukhumvit Rd), close to BTS station, close access to numerous restaurants, bars, massages, street food.

Cons - Fridge was small with no freezer (annoyance to me as I stayed there for 2 weeks and like to fill fridge with fruits and ice creams), air-con stopped working several times requiring external resets - and when it did work it was very cold, the TV had very limited channels (again I was there for 2 weeks and like to chill out watching TV between explorations), not a lot of storage area for clothes.

Overall a good hotel that felt fresh and modern, however the cons were significant to me (probably not so significant to many others).

The hotel now has a cash deposit of 1000 baht. Unknown why. Hotel is ok but there are weird sewage smells around or near the hotel. Hotel itself is average and they have no breakfast or restaurant.

Nice Quiet Hotel with Smoking Rooms near food!

Dynasty Grande is one of my favourite hotels to stay at when I'm in Bangkok. It's a 3 minute walk from the BTS, it's along a quiet alley way, and the short cut from soi 8 to 4 allows you to skip the craziness on soi 4 while still being near all the amazing street food vendors and late night restaurants (check out L-Seven near by across Ibis for some good food and drinks!). It's one of the few hotels in Bangkok that still have smoking rooms available (it's hit or miss now). Make sure that you book a smoking room if you need one as they are quite strict on smoking in non smoking rooms. Internet is pretty fast and reliable as well - which makes this hotel a great cheap place to stay on a working holiday.

Location is key for me when in Bangkok so great place, room is nice big bathroom, clean,
I like bathrooms with the toiletries etc which is the one thing you dont gwt here as shampoo is on the wall and no free toothbrush or razors. But its a good place

The property is located is centrally located in Bangkok. Rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. I have stayed here many times over the past few years. This trip I noticed that they no longer have individual complementary shampoo and soap. It is now a bulk bottle in the shower like if you are at camp. It cheapens the experience of a nice hotel.

Very nice hotel, reasonably well appointed. Furniture and buildings in very good condition. Staff competent and very helpful. Room make up each day excellent. Small restaurant attached, breakfast to evening food and drink available at reasonable price. Order your own breakfast and pay for what you have, not a fixed charge everyday like most hotels. This property is a mid-level 3-star hotel, in my opinion. The building is a little old, and you can tell. The lobby is not particularly impressive, but I don't think it is supposed to be. But in terms of positives, the service is excellent, and the rooms are large and clean. If the price is right, I would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean, but a little old. Bed was comfortable enough. Most staff were attentive. The food was really bad when i went. club sandwich done with microwaved bread, eggs benedict on a piece of cold white bread with sweet sauce. Either breakfast or lunch, i wouldnt advise to eat there. Gym was really decent and spacious for Bangkok

There is always that one person...

I tried this property on a recommendation for convenience to meet friends and because my favorite hotel in the area was not showing available. The property is clean and the room spacious for the price. My room had a nice sized balcony but faced across the pool to another wing. Although the room is quiet, surprisingly so for the area, with the arrangement of the two wings across the pool from each other there is no privacy without the curtains closed. The staff is generally helpful and polite. However, when I asked for a blank, non-coded key-card (for security) to leave in the slot to keep the room at a reasonable temperature when I went out, I was told it was not possible, after which I was given a number of nonsensical excuses why it was not possible and why they could not do it, including “no hotel does that,” “in my 15 years experience, I have never know a hotel to do that,” “our staff are trustful, they have been working here a long time,” “we have cameras,” “leave your valuables in the room safe,” etc., etc. This is the first time in my life this request has ever been refused. They could have given me a new blank card, or a card with an old code, or they could have simply run a string magnet over the magnetic strip. But no, it is not possible. It is not just that the person in charge of the counter refused, it was more her arrogant, condescending attitude that was so offensive. It is a shame because the rest of the team was really great throughout my stay.

Air-conditioning did not turn off at set temperature. Had to turn it off and on when woke up to sub zero temperature and again when boiling hot. Sink partially clogged.

Fantastic stay at Dynasty Grande. Check-in and out was fast, housekeeping kept the room spotless and all staff were friendly and helpful. Close to BTS Nana, nightlife and yet still a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. I would stay again for sure. I took a room with balcony and recommend.

It's clean, close to BTS Nana station (5 min walk), but not family friendly area (in adult entertainment area). Breakfast is good, wifi is ok. Restaurant / food is so-so , but you can go one or two BTS station to either Asok / Ploen Chit / Chit Lom. Taxi is available most of the time, but no meter, so you can ask hotel fo approximate price before negotiate price with the driver (it cost me 500 baht to airport).

Very good, clean hotel just a two minute walk from the bars and action of Nana. The Nana BTS station is only a 5-6 minute walk away. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient.
My only complaint would be the poor TV channel selection on the TV. Only a handful of English language channels, none of them really good...

Sukhumvit Soi 6 stay

This hotel has two towers A & B, I booked the double deluxe with balcony which was in tower B. The balcony was one of the better balconies I have experienced at any Bangkok hotel, big enough for two people to sit outside and not be crowded as most hotel balconies are. It also overlooked the swimming pool which was one to the bigger swimming pools I have seen at a hotel. Room was nice plenty of space, you get fair value for what you pay. Its an easy walk to Soi 4 or Soi 8 for nightlife and restaurants but a lot more quiet than staying on those Sois.

They have 2 room prices. The suite is definitely more but I liked it because it had a nice open area and table I could work at. If you are on a budget the 1 room is great. For this area (Nana) the 1 room is priced good for the comfort you get. There are other hotels the same price but not the cleanliness or comfort. There are others that are significantly more in this area but once you get in the rooms it's not much different.

I have stayed here many times, but noticed a difference this time. I think they have been upgrading the hotel and the changes really made a difference. The bedding before was a little harder and the bed this time was much softer. I liked the change. Had a great stay, in a reasonable priced hotel. Will stay again.

good hotel close to rail network

at first though this was only a young persons hotel but after a day found it to be very suitable for us. Close to BTS rail station only a few minutes away. Not a highrise and had a good size balcony, room quite large with a shower and bath. Staff very helpful also good dining facility.

Nice hotel near Nana Plaza.

This feels more like an apartment hotel with an attached café. It's on a relatively quiet side street (Soi 6) but still a short walk away from busy Sukhumvit Rd and Nana BTS skytrain station. The Bloom café doesn't offer buffet breakfast but the a la carte meals were excellent, the Thai fried rice and green/red curry were delicious.

I liked the stay in the middle of Nana. Close to Nana Station, Close to Nana Plaza.A lot of bars and Restaurants around. I liked also the pool. Good security policities for joiners. They give the ID Crad to the Lobby, you get a call. After visit they call you, before the joiner get back his Card. Rooms are not the newest, but you have all Things needed for a good stay. At the Moment, they are build houses around the Hotel, pool is a little noisy. But it's no more high-Season.

I am very impressed with my stay at the Dynasty Grande Hotel. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, with plenty of space to spread out, and clean. Even the bathroom was large, with a bathtub and shower.

Perfect location. Walking distance - 2 min to bars near Nana str and 10 min to Terminal 21.

First night of arrival the front desk staff was I pleasant. I greeted them first they did not even nod back. No customary Wai either.
The one was worst than the other.

I did not see them again. The other staff and doorman were all great.

The air conditioning in the room we were in dripped water onto the floor, we ended up putting a towel in one of the waste bins to catch this during the night, by the looks of the grout in the tile floor this had been a problem for a while. A good description would be tired facilities.

The biggest issues I had were the lack of service of the staff. From housekeeping, restaurant staff to doorman everyone was lazy. In fact when I checked-in I had a bad case of food poisoning and the following day I waited for my room to be made. After waiting til 2 p.m. I finally asked the front desk to have housekeeping to make the room. I'm assuming they contacted housekeeping although I didn't understand why they were laughing because I told them I was feeling ill. Anyway, two hours later I go back and the room still isn't made. In addition the bathtub didn't appear to be washed as it had dried up hair from the previous customer. They didn't leave the required bottles of water per day because I had my own water. When I confronted them she just gave me attitude. Disappointing to say the least...
