Convenient hotel close to everything ie. Terminal 21, night market, Nana Plaza, 7/11. Etc. Staff was very nice and was helpful with cleaning my room, providing water everyday, lending umbrella when it was raining. Would definitely recommend staying here if youre in Bangkok.

Very satisfied with the Promenade. Bed was comfortable and room was very adequate. Great location near so many stores and restaurants as well the metro. Though I must mention there is a small barrier separating the bathroom from the living room that one be careful to step over. WiFi was very good and it was nice to have a fridge and kettle. Overall great hotel and would definitely stay there again.

About my 8th time staying at The Promenade in the past 2 years. It’s a $45 hotel so don’t expect Sofitel. Don’t expect amenities. But the front desk staff and porters are 24 hours and always extremely friendly and wanting to help. The king beds are wonderful. They service the rooms every day and are very flexible if you want it done later. While the hotel is old, everything is spotless. And location in Soi 8 is right in the middle of walking anywhere and has in my opinion the best selection of street food in Sukhumvit, plus some great bars, restaurants, and coffee shops

Always good to find a swimming pool nestling aloft among the skyscrapers, albeit a fairly small one.The bedroom and bathroom were adequate but slightly outdated.My main criticism is the disconnect between what is being offered on the Expedia website and the reality. No restaurant, no cafe, no laundry etc.A little disappointing and could be easily remedied.Lets have these details updated, please.

I love this place. It might not look fancy or modern at first glance but you can see that management really cares. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the wifi is excellent, the a/c and the refrigerator look brand new, and there is a swimming pool on the rooftop. The staff is great, helpful and kind. Absolute best hotel for a budget
My 5th time staying at the promenade in 18 mos. It’s my go to hotel. Yes it’s old and has no restaurant, bar, or gym. But for the price it’s very clean, they clean your room every day, the beds are incredibly comfortable and clean, and their front desk, porters, and chambermaids are always there waiting to service and help you. And it’s a really great location. Soi 8 is my favorite sukhumvit Soi when it comes to street food, regular restaurants, regular massage parlors, and bars. At night it’s the perfect blend of not super crowded but still high energy.

This is a truly remarkable place. You might be taken aback initially by the vintage decor suggesting old age but it soon becomes clear how much the owner and staff care about the place. Everything is spotless: not a speck of dust on the surfaces, not a single fingerprint on the many, many mirrors in the lobby. Same goes for the room where I found a dual-band wifi router, a brand new-looking aircon unit, flat screen TV, kettle, plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, immaculate bedsheets and the usual complimentary coffee and tea. I was a little underwhelmed by the bathroom at first. The bathtub was a little narrow and the toiletries consisted of three soap bars and three single-portion shampoo pouches, but they turned out to be pretty good products, better than the ones in fancy mini bottles and safer and more hygienic than big dispensers, so no complains there either. The safety box in the lobby was less convenient than an in-room safe but probably more secure since it required two keys to open. It was also accessible 24/7. But what truly made me a future returning guest was housekeeping. Within minutes from calling, three petite cleaning ladies knocked at my door and turned over the room with the focus and coordination of an Olympic team. The Promenade might not look fancy but it sure is a great place to stay.

The hotel is far enough away from the Nana Soi 4 nightlife area that you don't hear any of the noise, but just a short walk to the nightlife area. Big shoutout to the front desk staff, especially Khun Nui who made my stay just perfect! Check out Det 5 Restaurant across the street for great food and drinks! Nana BTS is just a 5 minute walk right at the top of the street!

Everything was ok and very close to where I wanted to go. The breakfast is only fair there are many good places for breakfast close by. I was very disappointed that the concierge would not help me to get a taxi. I had to carry my luggage to the end of the street to get a taxi. Overall rating of the hotel is good.

Rude staff made me feel like I was a villain. The doorman was the only nice one. He helped me with my bags and was so nice to me. The desk ladies were rude and they ignored my questions. Took me 3 people to get a taxi arranged at 4am. The facilities are mediocre for such a high price. They wouldn’t let me leave until they inspected the room. They blocked me from getting into the taxi. And they made it seem like you were going to get robbed.

I have an adversion to bedbugs and soiled bedding as we all do. I always travel with ultraviolet flashlights and permethrin treated travel blankets and clothes. My room in promenade hotel has been one of the cleanest rooms I have been in. (I am just talking about the room).

Upon seeing this room availability here in hotels.com, I didn’t think twice on booking it ‘coz it says that the room is up to 3 person max so I thought it was reasonable for the price.
But to my dismay, the hotel staff demanded us to pay 400tbh/night for the extra person. Surprise yeah? But still we let it pass as we don’t want to ruin our trip.
Good thing, the staff in the afternoon were all nice aside from the old lady at night. (Bet you can smile more, Madam)

The main reason for choosing the Promenade is its convenient location near BTS Station 3, Nana, and because there are good bar/restaurants such as Det 5, American Bar and the Game nearby. (Stanley Cup playoffs were on at about 08:30, so breakfast and a game on TV nearby were great.)
The only real complaint was smokers, who smoked in the small landing. I'd recommend several well defined non-smoking floors.

Promenade hotel rooms are quite old. The bath tub was too narrow and not in good condition. Better shower system required. Staff are very friendly and can guide you well on how to reach different places in bangkok by the easiest and cheapest route.

It was the worst hotel stay ever. they wanted 1000 baht to clean chilli sauce of the towels i had to use as a napkin and got so aggressive that i left one day early and sacrificed a days rent to move to another hotel.

Yes it is old. The furnishings do reflect this. Everything works well, nothing is broken and the WiFi is above standard. There is style and the staff bring an air of elegance to the place. Enjoyed my stay here and will come and stay here again.

For the cheap price this is very clean with a decent size room. It dose have old fashioned styling, shower over tub and Linoleum floors but all functional with flat screen, a/c, mini bar, safe and small pool on roof( elevator). My room was attached to a family suite but a guest stayed next door was quiet and polite. He/she even very careful about TV velum therefore, I carry on as my valuable example. The hotel is an older hotel so the wear and tear is evident. But it is kept clean. The hotel is close to the nightlife and shopping. Terminal 21 is less than 10 minutes walk. Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza are close by too. Lots of restaurants on both sides of the street and in Terminal 21. The hotel had a pool and work out room on the top floor but I never made it up there. All in all, a good comfortable hotel well work the price.

First night I was in a room that was connected to another w/ a door. Their general noise early AM, in the day and into the evening had me set to move. I asked to change rooms and it was no issue. That was much appreciated.

Older hotel with a rooftop pool
The hotel is quite old and it's quite evident from the furniture in the room, that's it's quite dated. They definitely need to change the mattresses in the room because they are so soft (can feel the springs) and worn out. At night time, the lobby is very, very hot...not sure if it's because of week air conditioning or if they're trying to save on electricity. It is, however, located quite close to Nana BTS station, about a 3 min walk. Another good thing about the Promenade is their rooftop pool. It's a small pool, with only 4 sun loungers.

Booked this hotel at the last minute and wasn't disappointed. It has real character, loved all the 70s original decor, very retro and a pleasant change from all these boutique hotels that all start to look the same after a while. Good location on one of the main interchanges between sky train and subwy.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The Hotel is a bit old and dated but the staff are great and give you a warm welcome. The rooms are dated but are clean. the hotel is good for the price you pay and the breakfast is basic toast and coffee but it is served to you at your table by a lovely friendly staff member
