This place is a little dystopian. Room smelled of barf. Needed some air freshener for sure. The marked up walls and steel bumpers at the window looked well used for some fun nights. I could her all doors in other units slamming. I decided to split and to to another hotel.

My biggest complaint was the terrible flooring in the room. You can not walk barefoot in the room because you will get punctured by the lifting floor panels. I was given a new room and the floor was just as bad. In the first room the faucet was actually not attached to the sink. I told management and they said they are redoing the floors. That didn’t help me during my stay. I had to buy my own peanut butter because they did not have any in the breakfast.

The hotel is not well maintained or equipped, staff are not very helpful, at check in demanded deposit payment in cash no card option, the only thing good about the room was a comfortable bed, restaurant was a complete disaster, worst food I’ve ever had in Thailand. Never again at this hotel.

Room was large which was good. Floor condition was terrible. Hot water kept fluctuating which made taking a shower a challenge. They charged for ice which was a first of all the hotels I’ve stayed at.

Although it is a value for money spot for travelers but trust me, spend abit more to top up and get better hotel.
I booked before seeing it's review, indeed the floor tiles are uneven, broken, shower doesn't have strong waters, aircon wasn't that cold until you request the room to be fully air conditioned the whole day.

In short, bad experience.

Arrived 3pm asked to wait 30 mins for room to be cleaned. Others checking in as normal. No refreshments or water offered despite my 12 hour non stop flight. When staff questioned only answer was “wait a moment” Kept asking me for passport, booking ref, number of nights I was staying, whether I wanted 1 or 2 beds, I said any, just need a room. They actually already had all this information I saw my check in form.Finally after 45 mins given a room, unpacked and then told I was being upgraded. Turned out new room was lower Standard than first room, but consolation was a basket of fresh fruit.

Ok but the photos do a lot of justice

Hotel has had a slight room refurbishment but it’s still very dated. My hot water was hard to control. The temperature was either very hot or cold so couldn’t find a comfortable point. Otherwise it’s a good location for a short stay and the staff are nice.

Unserviceable TV, Safe, and room flooded with insecticide at almost midnight. Here is my review: I am ok with the Long wait to check in. After I enter the room, the safe was spoilt, I think never mind, I will lock my valuable in my luggage. End of the day, I return to room and found the TV not working. I think positively, just watch YouTube from my phone. After that I slept. Around 10+pm, I was slightly awaken by a bad smell, around 11+pm, I was coughing and turn on the lights, only to found my whole room filled with smoke. I though there was a fire and rush out but all was ok along the corridor and I opened my door to air the room and inform the security guard. Soon three staffs were there and took pics, I took video and pics also. The staffs were nice people and told me the pesticide enter through the aircon and change the room for me. I had problem sleeping and was very tired the next day as I was still coughing badly the remaining night from breathing the pesticide for a prolong period of time.

Overdue overhaul !!

Great service and they even try to change room for me. But the problem is after changing room, the problem still exist and it’s getting really late and we are getting tired then decided to change hotel. A/C doesn’t cool down the room enough to be comfortable and hotel had old smell, stains and spots all over. Something very minor, but does concern us a lot, only one toothbrush is provided in the room, and even after charging room, same scenario.

When I saw the pics at website quite nice, but in reality it is different. The aircon is very stuffy. And got cockroach in our room. Very dissapointing. The cabinet very difficult to open and close. Not recommended.

Fantastic hotel that is my home from home when in Bangkok. Rooms nicely furnished and clean. The staff at reception are made sure I got my usual room and I cannot praise them enough.
Breakfast simply but very tasty with a wide variety of choice.
I have been coming to this hotel for 30 years and you will never beat it for price quality and location to all amenities.
Try it you will love it, and I'm back in 6weeks yipee

Bed was large and comfy. The whole place is dated with pool being on 3rd floor via fire escape and walk down some stairs a little odd.
Breakfast was average, ok for a short break but would get boring after 3 days.

Area although not far from skyntrain and metro was a little bit seedy for us. We did not realise the street would have ladies of the night on every corner as well as staying with guests at the hotel!

Very disappointed with the Hotel in General. I stay in Bkk quite a lot and saw this Hotel as I was walking to another Hotel I was staying at. From the outside it looks very nice.I suppose the old saying is \"never judge a book by it's cover\". I had sent 3 e mails before I arrived in BKK telling them I would not arrive until midnight and asking a few questions, something I always do if I will be arriving late. Unfortunately I did not receive a response back to any of the messages I sent. When I checked in, there was 2 \"older\" guys behind the desk, who didn't have much personality. between them. I asked if they received my message about arriving late, and they said no, and just laughed. Next Morning I asked to see someone from the Reservations Department. Instead they dialed a number and handed me the phone. I then spoke to a Woman and explained why I was speaking to her. After I gave her the information she asked, so you are checking in at midnight tonight? I had to tell the story again, but in a different context. I finished off by saying \"I wondered why you didn't message me back\"? The answer I received was priceless. \"Because we are busy\" was the answer. I then told her the reason you are busy is because you have customers to attend to. No customers means no job. The wifi is bad and I had to go to the Foyer many times as I was there on business. I actually checked out 1 day early simply due to the wifi and also finding cockroaches in the bathroom. Not my best experience.

Scary for our first night! Someone softly opened our room at 03:45 AM. Luckily, I still awake since we just checked in around midnight. I shouted loundly and the lock also stop him to entering. Then, he just closed it without saying sorry. At once, I called reception to complain and they advised me to put a door card \"Do not Disturb\".

Manhattan hotel has a good location just about 100 ft off Sukhumvit road, regular buffet breakfast, restaurant. Stayed there twice. Few years ago I was completely satisfied. Last month I got a room with many cockroaches on tables, floor, bathroom. I made photos and showed it at reception. They gave me bigger room on another floor.

Room was big and simple. Quite surprise the space in the room is pretty big. At a mere fraction of the opposite hotel (Four Points by Sheraton), this hotel is totally worth it! Breakfast selection is modest but enough for a short stay.

The Hotel location is great, walking distance to Terminal 21 mall. The staff is friendly, the the room we got was 512, it was full of cockroaches , I called the front desk to complain, so they change my room to 902, no roach , but you can see the dust around the room edges, they need to do a better job in cleaning the rooms.

This place needs a serious renovation. Does not look like the pictures at all. Easy check in and good reception but had very very very bad experience with the porters, very rude. The room smells like a strong toilet cleaner. The beds were very uncomfortable, the springs were sticking out of the beds. Very dark and old.

Nice Hotel. Good location

One of my favourite hotels in Bangkok. Good value for money. Close to BTS and MRT and Terminal 21. Rooms are spacious with a nice pool. Breakfast is good in a spacious dinning room. Staff are friendly and helpful when you need them.

Hotel close to Asoke Train station

We generally had good experience during our stay at this hotel. There was one minor incident in which the aircon in our room was not working but the staff moved us and gave us an upgrade to a bigger and nicer room. Location was very convenient though there was a road construction happening during our time (not the hotel's fault). Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The place is not clean, the staff dont speaxk english, MOST IMPORTANT THING THE INTERNET DOES NOT WORK,, the hotel is nothing like the pictuers showen on-line, exterimly derty and shower no good, water is sometimes too cold or too hot, over all its a old hotel, not sure why is the rating high, i stayed here for 20 days becuase i had too since it was already paid for otherwise i would not even stay there for a day, i tried to cancel and go different place they did not accept

Needed to stay an extra day and the price was almost triple. I also needed a taxi that was crazy it was like no body there could read Thai and understand a request for a taxi the street is full of them. Thats the only bad thing I could think of. The hotel was nice and the customer service was good.

We booked 8 rooms with Manhattan Bangkok for 3 nights via Expedia. It says rooms are for double occupancy. We have few friends who brought some masseurs back to their room for massage and were asked to pay THB500 per person each time we have someone over. This is a ripped-off experience which we have never encounter in Bangkok before. Apart from that, one of the front counter staff accused us of losing the key which we have given it to the receptionist before we go out. The staff could not find the key and wanted to charge us THB1500 which is ridiculous. We refuse to pay because it is not our fault and why would we have to bear the cost of his clumsiness. Another staff found the key in another drawer.

If you have guest to visit your room, not that one

Since expedia do not provide to choose 2 people for room if you just buy a package with 1 person's air ticket, I request to change the setting because I have guest to celebrate my birthday at my room. However, hotel am refused to do so and says will charge me 500baht/night/person. The AM also refuse to talk. Even though this was finally resolved by expedia, to avoid trouble I would suggest avoid taking this hotel.

Cockroach infested hotel!

I found 7 small cockroaches in my room. 2 in my suitcase, 2 bed frame, 2 in cupboard and one behind sink tap. My friends in the other room also found them. They changed my room twice at 4am.
