When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to the Executive floor. Delighted we tried to use the lounge only to be told that we needed to pay for everything because we hadn't paid for the Executive floor. Rather defeated the whole exercise particularly as the room was not significantly better than an ordinary one and in some ways considerably worse. eg it appeared smaller and only had one chair whereas the room on a previous stay had two. Overall, it left a rather bad taste. We felt we were doing the hotel a favour rather than them recognising that we had stayed shortly before, and indeed expected to stay again in the near future.

Not at the level I would expect of a Mövenpick. Bedding was dirty in several places. Rooms are a bit dated and the entry lock needed several goes to click. However, good storage space, decent tv, nice bathroom. Breakfast was lovely.
I would give it another chance.

My overall experience was decent. The staff and the staff and people were extremely sweet. But you really need to Improve in cleanliness. Although the property is pretty old but I feel the cleanliness needs to be maintained. The sheets had stains and the washroom had mold. Apart from this the entire experience was great.

The best hotel. Impeccable service - such lovely staff, amazing breakfast - so many choices, perfect location in Bangkok, beautiful pool and nice gym, great room, very clean and very comfortable bed. Chocolate hour and executive lounge added wonderful extras.

Great to be back at the Movenpick with its rooftop pool and bar. Excellent housekeeping and super friendly helpful staff. Outstanding buffet breakfast Hotel is well located in Sukhumvit so easy access to several bars, restaurants and street market Vannot fault this hotel

Can't fault the staff who are fanastic and helpful. I had some issues with my room (faulty lighting and room cards not working). After making a complaint they upgraded me to an executive room. However, there is really no difference except for a bath. This hotel is in need of a renovation. I would say it's 4 stars. The gym equipment is ancient and limited. One treadmill was so wobbly it was unusable. The weights machine couldn't be adjusted either. The rooms are a littke musty and there is no minibar even in the exec rooms. The towels are also fairly dated. The pool is nice and the rooftop drinks area is decent albeit it needs some love too, it feels like zero thought has gone into furniture etc. Friends stayed at the other Movenpick in Bangkok and it is far fresher, newer and somehow cheaper with better facilities. It was like night and day.

This hotel location is first class, walking distance to 7/11 (30 feet), Central 21 shopping mall, BTS station and much much more. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The only negative is you can't dine in until 11am once their buffet breakfast ends. Small inconvenience given alot of restaurants near the hotel.

I would definitely stay here again.

OK for the low price. This is budget five star wich does not give the highest luxury personalized service but it looks nice, are situated in a good area and have what you need. Beds are a bit hard and rooms feels a bit impersonal as often in this kind of ’budget luxuary’ hotels.

Great Property but beers on the rooftop are among the most expensive I encountered during my trip. Rooms, location, staff and service are all outstanding and would definitely stay again. The girls in the coffee shop deserve special mention as they’re absolutely delightful and make the best coffees I’ve had in BKK. Well done!

Excellent 5 star experience in the heart of Bangkok. It is a little far away from the airport but it’s right next to everything you would want to visit downtown. Breakfast also had a lot of options and the pool was fantastic. Would definitely come here again!

We stayed for three days and was in the area close to where you can get into the heart of it with ease but the hotel is quieter.

Pool doesn’t have enough sun beds for everyone that wanted them. The pool has in some areas a for most of the day if lucky to have that spot.

Our room was through in one of the other buildings and lovely spacious but I had to use ear plugs as the main unit of ac outside could be heard even when I’d switched mine off.

Breakfast had a good choice and they do a free tea time at 4pm in restaurants with cake but only knew because our friends told us. It would be helpful to have this information in the rooms.

Would highly recommend all things considered.

Overall is very satisfactory, if I have to pick things to critize, it would be:
1. The shower head, the water pressure is too weak (it has been like that since my first stay)
2. Seem like the food in the restaurant is not as good as my first stay

But overall I am very happy to have been staying in Movenpick.

I was in executive floor. The staff r friendly but not v professional. First they left out my passport n i hv to call them to return to me. I asked if there is any drink i can hv right now but they seem dun understand. Then they showed me to the room but there is no minibar. They said if i want any softdrink i hv go bk to the lounge, which is 2 blocks away. Sigh...hving said that he did manage to bring for me. Thanks.
They said luggage will be in ur room in 15mins...i was a bit shock y they r not in my room when i got the room key, given the luggages were left to them abt 8 hrs ago. OK fine. But no lugguage arrived after abt 30mins still. I hv to call to the front desk n asked for them. The staff told me he waa not informed by the executive floor staff. Honestly they shd be trained better. Executive floor with less trained staff.

The location. We liked the chocolate hour concept. The food in the dining area was nice and breakfast was well managed.

The pillows were stained, could do with new ones or for the actual pillows to be washed. The towels need replacing as some had holes in them.

It had its highs and lows. It is actually hard to give a fair review because the thing that where good, where awesome, but the things that where bad was so significant that it pulls everything else down. We stayed for 4 nights and had so much trouble with the air conditioning. Everything was moist or damp in the room. We tried to get help but it didn’t work. However the staff was amazing, the pool was amazing and the chocolate hour was amazing. But the room was no great.

We stayed at this property on recommendation and had high expectations but for the brand, it fell short.

The staff were amazing and always so helpful which was fantastic.

I do feel the rooms and general feel was a bit dated and is in need of a refresh, definitely where our room waa located.

We were a family of 4 and had to continually ask for 4 towels after each turndown, i found it strange it was known after the 2nd day.

Breakfast was ok, again service staff was great.

Pool, rooftop bar, gym all were good.

Location wise, its good but down off the main road so bit walk but got used to it.

Location is perfect, walking distance to the malls and night activities, they even have free tuktuk service. However, property is old already and even their towels are not in good condition. I will not suggest this hotel if you’re looking for something to relax in as well. They have little varieties of breakfast.

A good base for touring BKK.

This hotel is located in the middle of Asoke and Nana BTS station which made is very accessible to get around. The hotel also offers shuttle to Terminal21 which is about 5 to 10mins away (depending on traffic).
There is also a free choc buffet for guests in the afternoon.

Room was very comfortable but the pillows could be firmer. House keeping often left out towels or floor mats but was easily rectified with a call to front desk.

Overall, an enjoyable stay.

a 5 star hotel that dont feel like 5 star, but the worst thing is there is no shelter when getting from car to lobby, and lobby to rooms, so if it rains, you are stuck. Bed is super stiff, i was hoping for movenpick mattress but was disappointed

This is a nice hotel that could use a couple of minor improvements to warrant a higher rating. Firstly, there were regular problems with internet access on my floor. Secondly, the breakfast fare each morning was the same and could be upgraded by greater variety. Friendly and helpful staff.

The staff at the Movenpick were so kind to us and helpful with all of our requests. We loved the pool, the chocolate hour, and the clean room.
If I had one small issue it was that our key cards kept deactivating, making us need to ask for help with getting in the room several times - I'd suggest the hotel looks into getting this fixed.
Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay. Very grateful to the staff for their hard work and the great job they do.

Upon checking our room over we noticed that the shower was full of mold. 30 minutes later we were given another room which wasn’t much better. This is our 3rd stay with this property for a total of 8 nights during our recent trip to Thailand. It seems that the tower where you check in is much cleaner than the 2nd tower. I would consider this a 3-4 star due to the lack of cleanliness. Other than that the staff was great.

Everything was good except for the shower. The water temperature wasn't stable and it became too hot all of sudden and cold after at multiple intervals so it was really hard to have a proper show as i had to avoid the extreme hot water.

This property felt grubby. The hallways stunk of cigarette smoke even though its supposed to be non-smoking. The room was not clean. Hair in the bathtub. I found the staff unhelpful. The lobby is nice but that's about it. I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel. 3 at best. Book the Amari instead.

Location is a bit far to walk to Terminal 21. Hotel does provide transport to T21 if you can wait for the next available. I felt breakfast spread is catered more for guests from India and middle east. Cafe latte taste can be improved. Overall I am happy with the stay at this hotel.
