TV lacking CNN news channel - not really acceptable for international hotel guests.
Bed linen had dark stains that may or may not be blood but will give benefit of the doubt.
Quiet Soi just far enough away Sukhumvit but still just five minutes walk.

The staff went above and beyond for us, especially considering that it was for our honeymoon. Hotel was in a location near nice bars and restos, and not too far from airport and downtown. Front desk staff, Concierge Tai, and cleaning staff were so professional and friendly. Make sure to ask for an airport transfer for a cash only reasonable price! Better than grab

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful. I had an upgrade and it was kept clean. I would stay here for my next visit and I definitely recommend it. The shuttle that run was really helpful too and it wasn’t too far from places that I wanted to go to and it was quite accessible. My favourite part about the room was the bathroom and my favourite part about the hotel was the little book collection they had.

The rooms were clean but all rooms I believe have about half of the square footage in carpet. Only the entrance area and bathroom have tile floors. I don’t particularly like carpet since it caries more dust and debrie. The hallways are also covered in carpet on the different floors. The sitting area around the pool is also quite small making it challenging to find afternoon space. Breakfast is quite good and a variety of good hot meals with friendly staff.

This hotel was just adequate.

The room was big enough and the bathroom and shower were better than other hotels of the same level. The housekeeping wasn't the greatest as every day we had to ask for towels they had forgotten to replace after they cleaned.
The breakfast was a disgrace. The coffee machines could not keep up with the amount of people and the food was subpar at best.
Staff could not keep up replacing the food so most items were either cold or completely empty. When new dishes came out they were already cold.
No egg station so nothing was fresh.
For the last 3 mornings I completely skipped breakfast. I recommend saving your money.

The pool has about 6 chairs to service the entire hotel. Do not book this place if you are hoping for a relaxing couple of days by the pool, it is impossible to find space.

The hotel is in a good location and walkable to the train station.

We tried this as an alternative to where we usually stay and can confidently say we won't be back.

Room was superb, spacious, clean, well furnished, unfortunately although we'd asked for a 'high floor ' we were put on the third floor so our view was directly into a multi storey car park so unless you're on the opposite side or above the 8th floor that is going to be your view.
Breakfast was ok though no hot stand for cooking omelettes or anything like that.
Gym was very basic, half a dozen machines but it was empty so can't complain.
Pool is good, there's about a dozen loungers which soon get taken up on sunny days.
Location is very good, close to Sukhumvit and both the Metro and SkyTrain stations are a 5/10 minute walk, 15 minute walk to the Nana plaza, 10 minute walk to the mall.
I would use again.

The room could have done with a deep clean, visible dirt on walls. The breakfast was fine, I stuck with the vegetarian options as there were no meat options for my ‘dietary requirements’. I recommend getting up early for breakfast as you’ll enjoy it more than later on when it gets very busy.

The staff is friendly, and they handled my requests very effectively. When I reported the motorcycle noise issue in the morning and asked for changing to another room, the manager (a lady with long hair) offered support proactively and addressed it effectively. The doormen are friendly too. The room is spacious and cozy; I got an upgrade for my VIP status. They also offered free water each day.

Beyond wonderful, I always look for a good view and a clean room and I found it in Samala hotel. Upon check in I got upgraded to bigger room with no extra charge staff are amazing specially Rose the girl with a real Thai smile that welcome you to feel like you are the only person there. My fifth time to Thailand the first time in this hotel and is the best. I stay there sep,27/30. For me I like the view of the city although the staff tried to upgrade my room for free but I requested a normal room for a better view. Staff are wonderful with the Thai smile as always. Rooms looks new with clean fresh smell to it, The break fast is all HALAL (حلال) chicken. I didn’t have time to visit other facilities but my room over looked a nice roof top swimming pool kind of medium sized. also the staff mentioned a rooftop fitness center open 24 hours. The hotel centred in a quiet street away from the noise but walking distance to shopping and night life. Perfect for families and solo travellers

Nice luxurious appearing Hotel. Breakfast buffest is very good. Convenient locations. Our room did not have a hair dryer, travel kit with toothbrush, skin lotion. I think that they normally stock these items but may have rushed to get the room ready. They were also very strict with Noon checkout with us.

We truly hit the jackpot with our stay at Samala Hotel! The experience was fantastic, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. The hotel is in a perfect location—within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and malls. Shower had hair all over when I arrived to my room. The room looked dark and faced a parking slot. The staff is lack of experience and they simply dont care-they couldnt find my drycleaning, sent me up to my room to look it up and got all confused as to where it is..congierce doesnt give you enough information about tours and the tour they arrange for you is almost like a scam..not enough sun beds around the pool area, they only find a spot for me when I asked to speak to the manager. Bangkok is full of nice hotels, do make the mistake I made and avoid this hotel please!

We live in Hua Hin and come to Bangkok often. Stayed at many hotels in the area over the years. 1st time Samala. They may try hard but unlike most of all 4-5 star hotels they still have musty, filthy, worn carpeting in the rooms. Who knows what’s embedded in those fibers that vacuums cannot sterilize. Ughh. This versus non-absorbent tiles whether a ceramic or a wood look.

I recently stayed at Samala Hotel, and my experience was unforgettable, especially given the unprecedented earthquake that occurred during my stay. The hotel’s response to the situation was outstanding. The staff acted quickly to ensure everyone’s safety, providing water, keeping guests calm, and offering clear instructions on what to do. Their professionalism and care during the crisis were truly impressive.

On top of that, I had the pleasure of being assisted by the hotel’s incredible concierge team, most notably, Sam. He went above and beyond, offering fantastic recommendations for local attractions, providing detailed train schedules, and even sharing the best times to visit the nearby night market. Sam was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel like I was speaking with a friend rather than just a hotel employee. His personalized service really made my visit special, and because of him, I would definitely stay at Samala Hotel again.

Both the hotel’s swift and thoughtful response to the earthquake and Sam’s exceptional service made my stay truly memorable. Highly recommend!

The hotel staff upgraded our room but the room was beside the carpark of another building so have to draw up the curtain during the stay. There are limited choice of channels on the tv mostly news channel or thai speaking local channel. The buffet breakfast also limited variety of foods not much choices not a five star hotel standard. Near to BTS station Asok & Nana & Terminal 21.

Me and my wife recently had the pleasure of staying at Samala Hotel Bangkok, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and very well-maintained, providing a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for guests. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always eager to assist. A special mention to the security guard, Kib, whose warm demeanor and helpful nature stood out. He was not only approachable but also spoke very good English, which made communication seamless.

Room service was consistently prompt and efficient, ensuring all our needs were met without any delays. The front office operates 24/7, which is a huge convenience for travelers checking in or out at odd hours.

Fantastic hotel down a quiet street away from the noise of the main road. Quick walk to train, tons of food options and shopping. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and great shower and water pressure. Could not hear any noise from neighbors or street. Staff very nice with easy check in. Perfect place for a quick visit. We enjoyed our 6 night stay at the SAMALA hotel. The area is excellent for exploring Bangkok, and the hotel is situated on a quieter street. The staff were very good, and the rooms was great.

Would highly recommend a stay at the SAMALA hotel. Only thing to note is that breakfast is a hit or miss. There are plenty of savoury options to choose from, but some dishes were better than others. We found the breakfast to be a convenient healthier option as opposed to eating food from the street.

This is a very nice and clean hotel, great location too. 7 minute walk to all the food, action and BTS. Hotel sits back a street from the main road and rail in a low traffic area so its quiet all night which i value after a long busy day. I stayed on the sixth floor in a deluxe room with a tub. Breakfast at the hotel is a bit pricey if not included with your room price. But you can walk 10 minutes to German Brewhouse for a delicious hearty farmers breakfast for half the cost as the hotel. Staff all lovely and helpful although communication in English at times could be a little difficult. I would absolutely stay here again. This hotel is just what you hope for after a long travel and quick check in too. Thanks Samala hotel for a great stay!

Absolute shambles - AVOID

Our stay at the Samala was extremely disappointing.
We made our reservation for July in January. Then, two days before we were due to arrive, I got an email asking me to confirm the booking, which I did.
However, when we arrived, we were informed that ONE of our rooms had been cancelled and we'd been put into a room, all three of us. The explanation given for this was totally absurd - something about the booking card not working. Ridiculous, given we had chosen the pay-at-property option anyway.
After about an hour (with no apologies in the meantime), they were able to find another room for us. When it came time to pay, none of their card terminals were working but they blamed our cards rather than their own malfunctioning tech.
We were offered NOTHING by way of apology for this shambolic check-in - not even a complimentary drink.
Upon getting into our rooms, we discovered that one of the showers didn't drain properly, and one of the toilets didn't flush! Again, no apology.
I have always had wonderful experiences staying in Bangkok hotels, but this one was abysmal.
The last straw came at check-out when they tried to tell me that we hadn't settled our bill, despite spending the aforementioned hour at check-in paying using cash because of their faulty machines.
I really hope that the Samala takes these criticisms on board and makes an effort to improve their customer service.

Love the stay!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk including concierge was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant staff was pleasant and welcoming and the pool and bar was a vibe. Its located near tons of eateries, however, it is a lil tucked away off the street whuch is geat because you don't hear the outside noise. Im planning to visit Bangkok again in the near future and will definitely book here again.
