I have stayed at Hopeland several times, but this time the experience was not that great as before. For the same price, I did not the larger room with laundry facilities, which are important for me.
The lady serving me on my arrival at the night of 8 Jan Thursday seemed cold, and not very kind. Other staff are as nice as before.

The rooms are big and spacious, comfortable bed and a sofa. While it's quite a walk up the soi to the hotel, there's a shuttle services available. Only thing it needs is a chair a table for the balcony. Still a great and affordable stay.

Before I booked this Hotel, I read the review, which I ways do. There were a number of people posting reviews that I myself did not experience. The Hotel is not the Taj Mahal, but in my opinion, very clean, very comfortable bed, and clean bathroom - everything that I needed!!! My only suggestion is that someone needs to make the staff, especially the front desk staff, understand the importance of being greeted by someone with a SMILE and acting like you actually want to help the guests!!!!!! The Hotel was much better than the Front desk staff!!!!!!!

Hotel room was dirty and old. Very very poor lighting, AC did not work properly, bed sheets were old and I had to request them to change on my first day. Sink was clogging up. There were urine smell on the hall way. WiFi do not work half the time. There pile of dirt under the bed as well. I wanted to leave that place but Since I paid in full I had to stay there with my nose closed and could not sleep because of the AC issues.

Very enjoyable stay at this hotel, which is in a good and convenient location. Close to all types of stores, businesses and restaurants. A very short walk to the MRT. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious with plenty of amenities. Comfortable bed and shower was very good with adequate warm/hot water. Would definitely recommend this hotel to those visiting Bangkok.

I would say it's a short distance away from the Main Street. Almost everything is there. But it's also far enough away from the action that's it's quiet enough to rest after a long day of exploring. The room was fine for what I needed.

Staff were nice and responsive to items we needed. Close walk to BTS Nana stop and Metro Sukhumvit stop. Breakfast is available. Multiple 711s close by. A bunch of bars and restaurant down the street but didn’t go to. The only thing we didn’t like was the couch because it was dirty :/ there was a room down the hall that smelled cigarettes for 2 nights but they didn’t do anything about it. A few days after, guest left and housekeeping was cleaning the room. The room looked very trashed and multiple alcohol bottles were there.

Small but excellent.

I’ve been here before. Great hotel. I like that it is small enough that you never wait for anything. The lobby, elevator, room cleaning, valet etc.
Everything is very clean and the rooftop pool/jacuzzi is mostly empty.
But as always location is important and Hope Land is 500 meters from Nana station and all the old and new Bangkok you could want.

For the majority, I had a great stay. The staff was helpful, friendly, and very polite. The dayshift shuttle driver/security gentleman was amazing. He was very careful of my safety when coming and going from the property. So, khob khun kha peuan! I cannot wait to see you next time.

I do have a few suggestions:

Please make sure there are no sugar ants present in the rooms.

If you offer a full kitchen and washer, it would be lovely to have cookware, proper utensils, and dish soap so that a guest may able to cook.

A drying rack to go along with the washer would be helpful so that guests do not have to hang their clothes on the balcony. Also, maybe add more hangers than just 5 that are currently there.

Please make sure the toilet is not constantly running. It was hard to sleep with the noise.

Please have housekeeping wipe down the walls, clean under the tub, and scrub away the mold in the shower. I understand due to the weather/humidity, it is hard to control the mold and the drain gnats. Pouring hot water will take care of the gnats.

Please keep the venders from hawking loudly outside the windows as again, it makes it hard to sleep.

Overall, this was a comfortable stay and I would book your hotel again.

Some light switches by the bedside would be convenient instead of having to get out of bed to turn the lights off before sleeping. Also, it would be more comfortable for us who like to READ in bed, and then go to sleep WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF BED to turn off the lights.

Some Sports channels in English would be great to avoid getting bored for us who do not understand the wonderful Thai language. Thank you! Otherwise, all was very good.

A great place to stay in Sukhumvit

I decided to stay at Hopeland Hotel for 2 nights in Sukhumvit area. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel had all the necessary facilities, front lobby area, restaurant, a Gym and saunas and a large rooftop swimming pool with all the views of Modern Bangkok, the big light up sign is easily seen miles away. The Hotel room was clean, the bed was good, shower is great too. The Balcony is nice but there were no chairs or tables on it. The Location is close to the nightlife but not too close if you want a good nights sleep and that you will. Overall Hopeland Hotel is an underrated place to stay in Sukhumvit.

This was my second stay at Hope Land 8. It is the locationn and the excellent staff that convinced me to return. The location is also fantastic, a quiet road just off of the hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit. A short walk takes you to any number of markets, shopping malls, and countless restaurants. The next time I come back to Bangkok - I look forward to staying at Hope Land again.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.

I'd booked a stay for several nights, but ended up leaving the very next morning after booking another hotel at 3.30am, and live-talking with a Hotels.com agent.

Why?

Exhausted from long-distance travel, I'd arrived to find my room looking very shabby and feeling dirty - the bed headboard was disgusting, the sofa grubby and saggy, rough towel literally had a hole in it - it made an impression of being a grubby place, with speckled dirt everywhere, leaving me feeling reluctant to unpack.

The air made me feel sick too, as time passed - a mixture of must and cigarette smoke; indeed, one of the presses had an ashtray in it, despite it being supposedly a non-smoking room. I felt sick.

Exhausted, I went to bed - only to be woken at 2am by roaring, shouting, screeching laughter through the paper-thin wall of the room next door, as shouting and raucous laughter and door slamming continued.

So it was at 3am, exhausted, feeling sick, and with bedlam next door, I knew I had to leave - the Hotel.com operator told me nobody was answering the phone when they called the hotel.

The next morning, when I went downstairs to say I was leaving, someone stepped out of the lift ahead of me and also asked to speak to the Manager to complain; I heard what the Receptionist apologetically said, and to me - that there was no Manager there that busy weekend.

To their credit, the hotel was quick to refund me the remainder of my stay, and the staff were nice - but they're my only positives to say.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Room temperature easy to control. Comfort very good with lots of space and the kitchen very useful. Staff courteous. One slight negative was the lack of local information available. I know that these days we are all expected to be using Google or other search engines for our information, but leaflets still are useful. The hotel is situated in a very interesting part of town, plenty of food choices, and a real cultural mix. The nearby park is a haven of quiet away from the traffic noise .
