Arrived by Longtail boat from the pier but you can walk into town( albeit up a steep hill but very scenic). No need to venture out if just wanting to chill and eat at resort- had all you need.Beautiful beach , great food plus a little shop and loved the bungalow. Quiet escape away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a beautiful property, removed from the main hotels and buisness around Tonsai Pier, but still walkable through about 20 minutes of marked, paved pathways (minus a few beach detours). It’s great if you’re looking for a little quieter atmosphere but still want to be close enough to the main shops for activities and dining

The beach is beautiful, there is a nice resaturant and sitting area. You can take tour boat from the hotel.
There are no seats on the beach and its about 2 km from town and you have take a boat
Or walk which could be a problem if rains or late at night.

Great value for long beach location

Really enjoyed our stay and would happily return in the future.
The room was dated internally but it was clean, everything was in working order and the air conditioner seemed fairly modern.

The rooms are surrounded by beautiful mature gardens with plenty of flowers and butterflies and you are seconds away from the beach.

This location isn't for everyone (especially if you came here for the night life)as a boat is required to get back and fourth to the main town but it suited us perfectly.
The main town was very crowded, even in low season, and didn't really feel like an island unless you were next to the shore.
Long beach is by far the best beach on the main island and was much quieter.

The food at the restaurant was better than expected. Previous comments have mentioned the rude staff and although they did seem a little uninterested, at no point did we find them rude or difficult to deal with.

Beautiful traditional Thai resort on an absolutely beautiful beach. Not many tourists visiting on day boats because of Covid.

Large attractive beachfront room with a deck and deck beds (though mostly without internet). TV was not hooked up. Cleaning staff was superb.

Never had breakfast. Food was decent. Service was great.

The longboat guy could be more service minded. I had to get my sneakers and socks soaking wet to get on the boat out of there. I probably should have said something.

You’ll love the beach and water out front.

We spend two nights here and had to move rooms twice as the accomodation we booked was not available. That said the rooms were delightful and close to the beach bit there is a fair walk from the hotel to the main strip. There are options to take a water taxi but i would recommend the scenic walk option as it is certainly different

Can’t beat the location if you want somewhere a bit quieter. It’s about a 25 min walk from Tonsai and 5 mins by taxi boat - 100 baht for one person. The hotel is right on the beach and the rooms are authentically Thai. Air conditioning worked well. Beds are a bit hard but no dramas. Hotel staff really lovely and helpful. Breakfast is decent - cooked & continental included in the breakfast buffet. We extended our stay for another 2 nights.

This is a great place to stay away from the main town but not so far that you feel isolated, only 30 minute walk along beaches or a short long tail trip. The beach is great for swimming and is clean. My bungalow was spacious, clean and comfortable and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. The outside massage area is a nice touch and the restaurant had a good selection of food and cocktails. I felt so comfortable here that I ended up extending my stay for an extra night!
The only problem I had was that my air con wasn't very powerful, but being 20 seconds from the beach it didn't bother me much.
I definitely recommend staying here!

Koh Phi Phi is Worth It

We were told by many people to avoid Koh Phi Phi because it’s too busy and too loud. I totally disagree, although it may be loud in town later at night - we don’t know because we stayed at Long Beach. It was a good choice because it’s only 200 bht for two to get into town by Longtail Boat (5min).

The Resort

It’s all bungalows and they’re nestled into the local forest. It’s very pretty. The bungalows are much nicer than they look in the pictures, although the beds are hard (typical in many Thai hotels). It was really nice sitting on our deck and partaking of a beverage each evening.

The breakfast was average but okay. The beach is nice (soft white sand) nestled in a bay with 3-4 other resorts, and with a nice view of the bay and Koh Phi Phi Leh (smaller one of the 2 islands). We’ve been on nicer beaches but no complaints.

You MUST go into town. It is a really cute little town with cobblestone streets and no vehicle traffic (except for bringing in goods). That makes it so nice to walk around. Prettiest town we’ve seen in Thailand.

We stayed four nights and did a Longtail Boat trip around the small island. I would say three nights would have been enough though.

We can’t say anything about the night life as we’re an older couple, but we did see lots of bars so it probably hops at night.

Overall, this was a nice place. The room was big. The beach was a bit rough, but swimmable. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to town. My only complaint would be they forgot to fill up the soap in the bathroom. Also, be aware this place is not good for disabled people.

Great beach, location on Long Beach. Service was horrible, as other reviewers have noted. But we didn’t spend much time in the facility so it was just a nuisance. Hotel staff was unhelpful in booking tours, went next door to and the other hotel set us up. Facility was fine for a bungalow, clean enough.

Reccomend doing the phi phi viewpoint hike , starting point is right where the hotel is. There are taxi boats u can rent to do private tours or to get into town.

First impressions were great. Here's a secluded spot away from the rest of the island. We had a lovely meal and slept very well. Breakfast was tasty and filling. From there on things got a little concerning. As we were quite isolated we ended up having all our meals there. Food is excellent and quite cheap. However, we rarely got a greeting or smile from the waiting staff. They were somewhat inattentive, almost aloof. On our last day we wanted to arrange an island hop excursion by speedboat - something advertised right outside reception. When we asked if we could book it, they just stared at us blankly and told us they didn't organize such trips. So we walked 5 mins down the beach and booked it there no problem. It's a shame because the accommodation is lovely, food exceptional and location beautiful. There's plenty of friendly felines which kept us amused. The taxi boat men were helpful too. This hotel can be improved with a bit more hospitality and less indifference.

The bed sheets had dried blood stains and they nickel and dime you at the hotel. You have to pay 20baht to use the bathroom in the reception when you are already staying there? Also, the service was not friendly at all. I asked to switch out used beach towels for new ones and they were grumpy about it. Also, for a hotel that caters to tourists, the staff barely speaks English or understands basic requests such as 1) can I please switch these towels out for new ones? 2) How much is it to rent snorkeling gear? The only pro is that it’s the only hotel with the biggest amt of land for Long Beach.

Magnificent spot, beautiful beach, the bungalow was pretty from inside and outside. Bathroom is simple but working. The boat ride to town is quite expensive (150bth/pp but transfer to and from hotel is free). Hiking to town is 35 mins minimum. Breakfast poor. Better order from the menu.

Nice hotel on the Long Beach

I booked this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel justified expectations - excellent well-groomed, beautiful territory, good rooms in the Thai House bungalow, there is everything you need. It seems that in all other accommodation options everything should be fine.
The hotel is located away from the island civilization - for some it's a minus, for us it was this time an informed choice. The central part of the island has seen enough of past visits. Going back and forth is often problematic. From the pier to Long Beach about 30 minutes, if on foot. On rough terrain, this is more a hike than a walk.
The restaurant has a very good table arrangement - with a chic look. Beds and benches are designer style.
Kho Phi Phi is a great place!

Hotel was so beautiful! Perfect location amazing scenery!! They pick you up and drop you off from pier when arriving/leaving. Very cute rooms with nice balconys with sea views. However staff was very unfriendly and not helpful. No one smiled or said hello which was not the norm for our other thai experiences. When getting on off the boats the guys saw we were struggling with our luggage and just watched us instead of offering to help..but overall a great stay because of the location and scenery.

Perfect view, wonderful beach

Stayed here 4 night and loved how quiet it was. The beach was so beautiful, white soft sand and you can snorkel in the ocean right outside the hotel. A long tail will take you to and from the resort to town for 100 bhat . However pick up and drop off at the pier before and after your stay are free. It’s a 30 mom walk to town from the hotel and we did the walk daily. The path is lit up at night but could be a little step for some people or with kids. Great access to the view point. Great spread for breakfast. Meals are around 180-300 bhat and drinks around 250 bhat. Room was cleaned daily which we didn’t really feel is necessary but that’s not bad thing. The view is out of this world amazing and so worth booking here! Would recommend for a quiet stay in Phiphi with great beach!

Beautiful area, loved the restaurant!

We loved this hotel! When our ferry arrived from Phuket, we were greeted by a hotel representative on the dock who took us to the hotel via long-tail boat (just let them know when you will be arriving). Check-in was easy and we received assistance in getting our bags to our room. The bungalow itself was very cute, but you definitely get what you pay for - the bed wasn't the best and the bathroom could use an upgrade (only reason the hotel doesn't get 5 stars). Luckily, Koh Phi Phi is so beautiful that you don't spend a lot of time in the room! The staff assisted us in signing up for a Maya Bay tour (easy process)- the tour boat left from right in front of the hotel and returned us back to the same beach, which was very convenient! The beach itself is gorgeous - the view cannot be beat! We loved the restaurant - it was so convenient and offered incredible views! Free breakfast included made-to-order omelets, oatmeal, fruits, bagels, cereal, etc. Would definitely recommend!!

we're a family of 4 including daughters of 17 and 19. The courtesy long tail pick and return worked well from wharf to resort. No glitches at all. Once settled the longtails get you to the Phi Phi village back in no time at all although on one occasion the wait was 10 minutes but, heck, who cares when the setting is so lovely. Alternatively there is a lovely +-2km coastal track into the village which is a nice option if not heavily laden. The setting is very attractive nestled the behind beautiful Long Beach with its crystal clear waters and white sands. The lush setting makes it an attractive resort. Options for eating are adjacent beach or in the traditional restaurant (which was not used mush due to the superb weather). A well stocked shop offers most consumables, confectionary, medical, and general supplies. Staff were efficient and helpful. Rooms were cleaned well, of good proportion and very comfortable even though our unit had a king bed and 2 x doubles in a single room but we're used to this. Worth checking configurations. The gardens are attractive and each unit has a private patio. The beach gets visitors during the day so gets buiser but the beach vacates again as the day progresses. Still relatively quite in comparison the Phi Phi village which may not suit the younger traveler. Longtails run all night ... or so it seemed. All in all - excellent

Situated right on Long Beach nestled into the vibrant abd lush environment Gorgeous walk to town but only for the fit as some parts are a bit steep but an easy water taxi ride for only 100 baht as an alternative. Nice resort that needs updating with better food.

The room needs modernising in general, the shower is broke and the room itself it uncomfortable and needs a good clean. The doors don't shut properly and the bed had a broken dusty lamp above it. The food is terrible and the resort needs a long boat to get to it which is unfortunate if the weather is bad which would make it impossible to get to. The location is great in terms of it's right on the best beach in Phi Phi.

Authentic accommodation in a beautiful setting. Long beach is stunning with good snorkelling and swimming opportunities. Accommodation located within easy access to tonsai pier. Service provided by staff was average with poor English restricting communication. Good prices for food and drink. No hot water available, this was not rectified when a complaint was lodged. Bed and pillows hard limiting comfort, and sound of long tail boats loud affecting sleep. No pool.
Overall we were happy with our stay but this was attributed more to the beauty of the beach and surrounding islands as opposed to the service provided by Paradise Pearl.

Paradise found!

Paradise! The location is right on the beach. Serene, romantic, quiet, so much better than Patong. The hotels on Phi Phi are quite expensive and a bit old and tired looking but I am so happy I selected Paradise Pearl. It is true that the room is dark and dated but the position and the surroundings make up for it. With such an amazing landscape and warm water you do not spend much time in the room. The staff are quite laid back and I quite enjoyed it after being exposed to the pushy people in Patong. The Long beach is never crowded. It is great for swimming at high tide (at low tide you need to be careful because of rocks). There is a massage on site - 500 Baht for oil massage, 300 Baht for facial. We booked a 3 hour snorkeling trip from a lady selling drinks at the end of Paradise Pearl (next to Blue Sky resort) for 1500 Baht and I highly recommend it. She speaks good English and has great suggestions of places to see and best time to go. The taxi boats to town are 100 Baht during day and 150 at night. The walk through the jungle is only about 20 minutes long, small part requires climbing with the help of ropes - exciting! WIFI is not very reliable.

Beautiful private getaway

My boyfriend and I went to Paradise Pearl with another couple for a relaxing few days at the end of our trip to Thailand. We came via ferry and there was a taxi boat waiting for us which was convenient. We arrived at the resort and were greeted by friendly staff. Our rooms had ocean views which were beautiful. The beach is private and clean. The restaurant had great food and the Pina coladas were perfect! There is a pathway to walk to town which we did once, I would not recommend this at night as it is dark and a little steep. It is very easy to get a taxi to town from the resort. We enjoyed being separated from the craziness of the center of town. I would recommend this resort to others it is a great price and the beach alone makes the stay worth it.

Great location with a nice beach, and easy to reach other sites by water taxi. The restaurant has a large menu and the food was reasonable and good. We ate all but one meal here and the included breakfast was good. The only drawback to our stay was the spotty wifi. Was weak and intermittent in our bungalow, but was better in the reception area when I had to connect.

Great stay should have stayed longer

We had a beach front bungalow with our own deck overlooking the beach. Room was clean service was good. The only complaint we had was the bed was hard, that being said we are use to a very soft pillow top mattress at home and it would not stop us from staying there again. We are a older couple and heard Phi Phi Island was a party island and only stayed 2 days because of this, we wished we stayed longer at this location because this location did not seem to be a big party location maybe at the main peir.

Stayed in the beach front bungalows. Large, spacious and looks better than the photos. The bungalows are beautifully decorated overlooking the sea, perfect location . On the stunning 'long beach' and about 20 min walk into the town or a 5 min boat ride. Lovely , friendly and helpful staff and would definitely stay again .

Convenient, Cozy Bungalow Beach Hotel

My three friends and I had an amazing experience staying at Paradise Pearl Bungalows We loved being a short taxi boat ride away from Phi Phi, but having the luxury of being more remote on Long Beach. We enjoyed the beautiful beachfront views and our cozy but comfortable room. The free buffet breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed a beautiful view point hike. The start of the hike was right near our bungalow - it was an amazing sunset hike!

Quiet location, distant from main area

I had an overall great experience at Paradise Pearl. I will start with listing the only two disappointing parts of my stay: 1. When I arrived at the hotel by a long tail boat, it was up to be to carry all of my luggage up the beach to the check in desk, which was difficult as my luggage was heavy. 2. There isn't a long tail taxi to the main area after about 7 pm and if you get one to take you to the main area before 7, you'll have to walk back. It's a 30 minute walk through some poorly lit areas. On the flip side, this location is PERFECT if you want to be on a gorgeous beach, away from the party scene. The massages were great, hotel restaurant had many food options, all delicious, my room was always clean, my patio view was gorgeous, and the customer service was top notch (once I got checked in). Jill at the front desk became a friend to me while I stayed there. She offered great suggestions for boat tours each day, offered suggestions for the rest of my trip in other parts of Thailand, and seemed to genuinely value the guests at the hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Massage is awesome, by the beach and by experienced messue, same price as Phi Phi town but better environment.

Food at the hotel restaurant is not as good as the town however you can dine by the beach.

The perfect hut on a beach

We stayed here on our honeymoon. Our aim was to find a romantic hut on a beach and this place was perfect. We stayed in one of the beach front bungalows which I recommend. We had a great view from the balcony and were just a few metres from the beach. The room had a nice theme to it and was spacious. The staff were friendly and polite. The hotel manger in particular was very helpful and seemed very on top of things.

Location is key on this one. Literally on beach. Restaurant on beach. Minimart also with atm too. Bungalows are good enough. Not the greatest, but clean. Wifi was good. I would stay at again for sure.

Life on an island

To get to the hotel you have to take a boat taxi from the pier. The hotel has a mesmerizing view of the sea. The beach is great, though do not try to swim during low tide (I did that mistake and got a back cut on my leg).
The hotel has access to tours of the island and other activities. The town is a 30-minute walk away or a 10-minute ride in the boat. Be warned that the first part of the walk involves a severe climb of a small hill.
The breakfast is good (not buffet but you choose one plate). The hotel restaurant has amazing food and good prices.
The rooms are big, clean, and wonderfully decorated with wood.

Average stay on a glorious island/beach

-lovely stretch of beach, quiet and secluded
-breakfast was good and reasonably priced
-beautiful forest walk to town - a hidden gem

-we met someone who we assumed was the manager, he was very rude, impatient and made us feel uncomfortable
-wifi passwords needed to be changed daily, it was such a faff especially if reception was shut
-taxi boat mafia, the only real way to get around was via taxi boats, the prices were a lot (per person) as we then had to wait 10/15 minutes for them to cram as many people in as they could
-we completely understood that there would be bugs/mosquitos when entering a tropical island, however... Some basic things could have been done to ensure far fewer insects (we had a HUGE gap under the door and between the balcony slide doors. We fumigated the place with bug spray however it did make our stay unpleasant.

Don't let this put you off your stay, we are just being honest and feel for the price we payed (most expensive out of 6 hotels we stayed at) the hotel was the worst value for money. We absolutely loved phi phi itself though.

We got a sea view room, it was OK. but it was filled with bugs and mosquitoes.
There weren't any hot water, and the room was even a bit dirty.

It's a great location and view but doesn't worth 3000Bat for a night.

Although the accommodation was in a very good situation right on the beach I think it needs a lot of updating, the room was very dark and dingey and the breakfast was nothing to write home about, if I were to return to Phi Phi I would definately not stay at the Paradise Pearl Bungalows again.

Love Long Beach!

I loved Phi Phi! This hotel was great and relaxing and literally on the beach. The beach was perfect and beautiful and relatively quiet. The room was a little bit dated, especially the bathroom, but the hotel was clean. Wifi is available in the lobby but it worked sometimes in our room as well (it isn't advertised to, so this was a plus!) Breakfast was included in our stay, and they have a nice little buffet with an egg station. The food at the restaurant was really good. I would definitely stay here again, the staff was very kind and I really liked this hotel. Very easy to get around from here - they have their own longtail boats. If you are going to Koh Phi Phi and want to be in a quiet area away from the backpackers and party part of the island this is definitely the place for you!

Nice location shame with the service

The hotel is on long beach which is reachable by long tail boat from the main pier on phi phi island. The room was of decent size and has a nice view to the sea and a balcony facing the sea. The condition is ok for the price, air conditioning is old and needs a bit longer to be effective. Water is salty so we had to brush teeth with drinking water from the bottle.
The worst Thing happened when we checked out and the receptionist said one towel was missing. The awful attitude was shocking, she was accusing us of lying and stealing a hotel towel?! The other reception lady who looked like the manager stepped in and apologised but that was a bad ending for a relaxed stay. That's really a shame as otherwise I would have given this a four star with the price and location.

Not a welcoming feeling

Dreary room, terrible, terrible shower and toilet, odd smell, laminated notes about towels we took to the beach, weird noises at night, lots of flies, overcrowded beach, dirty boats, garbage removal right in front of us on the beach...Koh phi phi's glory days are behind it, along with this hotel, if it ever had any.

Lovely place for a holiday

Phi Phi island provides a unique holiday experience with the combination of unusual limestone rock formations and mode of travel (longboat). We were pleased that the reports of it being a party island were wide of the mark and we had a relaxing stay. The scenery is quite stunning. The paradise pearl resort provides good value accommodation in a lovely setting. It would be nice to be able to buy a drink after ten pm tho!

Best Thai style accommodation in Koh Phi pHI

Amazing place, great location, just steps from Long Beach (Best beach of Koh Phi Phi).
We stayed in the Thai House, which it was amazing!!!!! Huge room, best Thai decoration I have ever seen. Really clean, air conditioned. Location 10/10, just steps from the beach, surrounded by palm trees and a massive garden.
Buffet breakfast every morning with a massive range of options, Thai food, Fruits, Omellete bar, Coffee station, panckakes, pastries and much more.
We will definitely stay there again and we will strongly recommend it.
Stayed in mid February 2016 as a couple.

Great bungalows right on the beach.\n\n

Very comfortable bungalow. Stayed in a Thai house not far from the beach. The Thai decoration might not be everyone's cup of tea, but very pleasant, large room with own balcony and 2 sun loungers. It is on the end of Long beach closest to Ton Sai. This part of the beach doesn't have any longtail boats parked on the beach so great for swimming. There are a number of fish near the rocks so good for snorkelling but more fish can be found at the other end of Long beach.
They have a great restaurant. Breakfast was very good and a great selection of other dishes for lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. Day trips can be booked at the hotel. I recommend the 6 hour spread boat Trip around the islands. If you let the hotel know by telephone what time you are arriving, you are met at the pier and taken to the hotel in a complimentary boat.

Great stay on the beach for the fit

Beautiful bungalow on a beautiful beach. The bathroom ceiling leaked a little and it is an energy intensive 45 minute walk to town from the beach, but absolutely incredible stay for the price. The cost of private boats to and from town would rack up quickly for those not included to climb up and down to town.

Loved the location and stay. The views from the restaurant and beach front bungalows are amazing. We stayed one night in non beach front room and one night beach front and both were satisfactory right on the beach. The transfers are included in the room rate. Recommended!

Very relaxing, best beach on the island

Very relaxing place to stay, the beach was the best we saw on the island. There were even a few backpackers who made the trek from town to come and sit at the beach. It must be a secret among travellers as there were different visitors each day. But they stick to themselves at the end of the beach so they definitely don't get in the way, if anything it was good to meet some interesting travellers.
The food was beautiful (my girlfriend is from Thailand and even she said so).
It is only a 15 minute walk into town, but if you go around 6:00 pm when the tide is out you can walk along the beach and it only takes 5 minutes.
The staff a very helpful without being too in your face.

We have stayed for three nights in the bungalow, where you had to take the long tail boat to town centre everytime you wanted to go out. Love their breakfast, so refreshing and full together with the sand at the feet. Worth it but the wifi signal was slow and hard to detect.

Superb location. 5 minute boat ride from ferry

I stayed in the hotel with my 3 children. The family room is large with 2 double beds
Hotel location is superb. Right on a quiet beach. You dont need a beach front room cos all the rooms are a few yards from the beach
Beach is quiet. Water isnt the clearest and there are a few stones and boulders but the beach itself is paradise
Worth a walk up to the Lookout although signposts from the hotel are poor. Probably best goimg to the main town and approaching it from there
Hotel restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast average

Close to the beach but that's the only advantage

The hotel is so far out of the heart of phi phi. Once you get off at phi phi its 100 baht to get a long boat to the hotel and then also back again and every time you want to go to phi phi its 100 baht. The toilets in both rooms we booked didn't flush. It was run down and quite expensive for what we paid for. I would never stay here again.

Nice rustic feel. Long beach is a great place to stay on Phi Phi - not too far but far enough from the noise to feel remote.

Staff wasn't the best. Cleaning staff was pushy on a daily basis. No one seemed to go out of their way to help us out (our Bangkok and Chiang Mai experiences where much nicer)

Nice views and location, unfriendly staff

The hotel is in a wonderful location with excellent views. We were not impressed with the food, so we went to nearby resorts for their food instead. The staff gave us the impression they didn't want to be there, and even acted with disdain towards us. It was also very annoying that they changed the wifi password daily and you had to go to the lobby to get it each morning. The beach is great and the rooms aren't bad. The patios are a nice touch. I would say it is fine for the price if you are willing to walk a short distance for food or take one of the boats into town.

Excellent location. Right on the beach.

Stayed at the Paradise Pearl Bungalows in March for a few nights. Overall the experience was okay. The location is fantastic, at the start of Long Beach on Koh Phi Phi, with beautiful views across the bay. The water is crystal clear, and the beach is excellent, however, it is heavily poulated with Long Boats to ferry you to and from town. Swimming areas are demarcated, and Long Boats generally stay clear of these areas, but it does limit swimming to only two spots on the beach.
The staff are not very attentive, and trying to get served at the restaurant was an interesting experience, to the point we only went once and had all other meals elsewhere. The menu is limited.
Bathroom facilities in the rooms could be cleaner and better maintained.
No roads on the island mean all trips to town are via a long boat, or a walk from the hotel. The path between town and the hotel is a nice scenic walk, however the last section as you arrive at the resort is a bit of a climb for the able bodied only.

A true beach home feel.

Rooms need to be a little more updated and rooms were quite sandy but expected, being on an island. Wasn't sure if they have a boat driver at the pier. But if they did I couldn't find it. For anyone using this hotel, the hotel charges 200 baht for boat transport. I do not recommend walking to the hotel unless you are baggage free. All in all, a great hotel.

they charge for everything

the staff isn't very friendly. they leave plastic cards on your room if a towel is missing one day. the bathroom isn't very clean. the room wasn't well lit. i was charged for using the lobby bathroom after staying there for several days and having had multiple meals at the restaurant. the location (long beach) is very good but i would not stay there again based on the unfriendliness of the staff.

Peace and quiet in Long Beach, Ko Phi Phi

Paradise Pearl is located in Long Beach which is about 2 km from the pier and city where the bars and restaurants are. There is an amazing view of Ko Phi Phi Leh and if you enjoy getting away from the fire shows and loud music of the city this place is for you. The only inconvenience is that in the low season (we stayed at the end of August) they do not provide a complimentary long-tail boat from the pier (like the other hotels do) so your only option is to fork over 100 baht per person to a long tail taxi or walk through the jungle trail with your luggage.
