Rooms are old and have a bad wet smell. Shower water gets cold and takes a hour to warm up for the next person to get in. Natasha is amazing!! They only send house keeping every 7 days so you keep the same sheets and stuff unless you want to change them yourself. Great location far as multiple stores and things. Complementary breakfast was soo awful.

The front desk staff, breakfast, room size and cleanliness were all great. But when a guest tells you something is broken three straight days in a row and it is as simple as taking a TV from a room that won’t be occupied while they are there and setting a working one down (this is not one even mounted on the wall), just take care of it. They did ask if I wanted to move rooms but I had already unpacked for a busy day of meetings and all they needed to do was show up with a tv in that moment and take the broken one out

Breakfast is acceptable. Room was somewhat clean but had what looked like mold on the bathroom ceiling. No real coffee until 7 AM ... all you get until then is coffee from the one in your room. I ran out of creamer and front desk said they didnt have any...have to get it from housekeeping, but housekeeping is only done once a week. I took a paper cup and got some liquid cream from the large dispensers that are only accessible during breakfast and stored that in my fridge for the next morning.

I had to bring my towels to the front desk to get new ones then I got yelled at because I placed the towels on the counter. My little family & I stayed for a couple of days due to a house emergency & just from the start the staff was very friendly & understanding as I put in a request to get a 1st level suite & they accommodated me with no hesitation; for the price for our stay with the capacity of the suites it was like having your own mini apartment , rooms are secluded so you have your own seperate privacy with a outside shared patio area right outside of your room. It was very quiet & the neighbors were friendly. The breakfast was okay for what you pay for , we don’t care for extensive breakfast options so what they serve for breakfast is very convenient & the lobby area of where you eat was very nice , has a tv & just a relaxation feel as you’re just sitting there eating. Overall I really loved my stay along with my family as it even is in a shopping area, multiple restaurants & recreational things to do.

The only cons were, I’d advised deep washing the carpet & curtains as the suite did have a strong smell of urine & would often linger but we always bring our own home supplies, to where the smell had went away. As well as there were what it looked like blood stains on the curtains to where we used sanitizer & gloves to open & close curtains/shutters. So the cleanliness & up keeping should be updated but other than that I have no other complaints

Well, we did love staying here. It was only a it was a misunderstanding in the room that we booked we want one with the patio and preferably on the first floor because I had a handicap person with me, but I should’ve communicated that before arriving and confirmed when I was reserving the room however the rooms was still nice and clean, and the staff mostly was great They even let us stay an extra night because of the elevator inconvenience they had to stuck on the third floor during checkout we weren’t ready to leave anyway, so the fact that they were even able to compensate us for that was amazing. Overall, the manager was great and the morning staff was amazing housekeeping was also very sweet when assisting my mother with getting extra towels and a blanket.

At first glance was decent. After a few hours in the room. The first of many roaches appeared. I went to management immediately. The supervisor on duty at the time was apologetic and understanding and ready to address the issue. The place was and other area hotels were booked for Labor Day weekend. The solution given was to treat the room and re clean it while we were out for the day. I accepted those terms with hopes it would work out.
Well needless to say it did not and more roaches were present when we returned at 1:30 am as well as staff leaving behind the empty roach bomb treatment cans in the room. Again the staff was accommodating and I was moved to a new room the next day because a room became available after a check out at the hotel. The property gives apartment complex because there were people who have been living there for a while. It’s an Extended Stay property which was not a problem. Overall it needs up dates and renovations inspite of the reviews with the 8/10 ratings because the area was nice 20 mins outside of downtown ATL and could be a hidden gem for family that travel.

We stayed here for a concert in the area. Rates are good, rooms was clean and spacious. the rooms with the kitchens could use an upgrade, but everything else was find. Check in was good. Didn't eat the breakfast the next morning due to they only serve from 7-9am. the only place I have ever stayed that only serves for 2 hours.

I did not like the fact that the tv in the living room did not work and the desk lamp did not work. There was only 1 lamp that worked in the living room. In the bed room there was no fan and only 1 of the 2 lights worked. The WiFi on the tv in the bed room kept going out.

Long term renters posted outside our door all hours of day/night just smoking, coughing, talking, and watching videos on phone loudly. Kept us up and made our room smell like cigarettes. Beds were clean but carpet and floors had large brown stains. Overall the room spelled terrible for all 4 days we were there. Also, someone checked us out of our room without our knowledge and they gave our room to someone else. Luckily I caught it when the housekeeper tried to clean and told us we had been checked out. Hotel clerk corrected it for us but acted very put out about it to me and tried to accuse me of being the one to check out early. Thankful it was brought to my attention before we left for the day or we would have returned to strangers in our room and our belongings gone. Just felt like we were treated as intruders and we had inconvenienced everyone there by renting the room.

Spanish speaking lady working at breakfast was sweet and kind. Good breakfast.
We liked staying at other Sonestas often inc. 2 others nearby. This was the worst.
Lots of black mold visible in shower. Smell of mold from AC. Signs of painted over mold around air vents/walls.
Bathroom sink wasn’t draining/was likely in need of routine maintenance.
Smell of weed around pool and BBQ area.
We asked politely if they’d allow us an early checkin if room happened to be ready earlier than 4pm. We said we knew it couldn’t be guaranteed -that it was just a polite request. We explained we had a family member with med condition finding it very hot and that person had lots of medicine that was getting overheated in car too. They indicated they’d accommodate if it ended up being ready earlier. When we got there they said they wanted $25 fee. We said we’d come back before 4pm checkin as the room rate was already high. We returned at 3.45 to get our multiple bags out of the car and do checkin paperwork and were left waiting until 4.25 for checkin. Anthony, desk clerk, was pretty unfriendly all the time. The other lady working around the front desk wouldn’t let our son sit on a chair in the lobby while waiting to checkin. Said he needed to buy food from hotel snack shop to sit there. We later noticed other guests fold laundry and hang out at that seating area without complaint. They also wouldn’t allow us to use pool while waiting and didn’t offer to hold bags.

Lacks cleanliness but some friendly staff

The beds were comfortable and clean. The room however stunk. The vent above the sink in the one bathroom when blowing air smelt like bad body odor. The floor in the kitchen net doesn’t look like it was ever swept or mopped. The one bathroom had hair on the soap bottles in the ceiling and in the tissue box like someone shaved or cut their hair and it was never cleaned up all the way. Don’t walk barefoot in the room your feet will be black the carpet was so dirty, white socks weren’t white afterwards. I went to check out and the music in the lobby was so loud I could barely hear the guy working because he wouldn’t get up to talk to me he was to busy on the computer. The female staff super friendly and helpful. I checked out two days early as we were only down there for baseball because the bad body odor was making me sick.

Great stay at Sonesta. We had the two bedroom suite which was perfect for families. We didn’t use the kitchen that much, but it was helpful for us. The breakfast was pretty decent, not as big of a selection of hot foods as I would like (e.g. one day with no bacon & no sausage) but eggs each day, oatmeal, fruit, pancakes, coffee.

There were dark stains on the carpet in both rooms as well as tears in the living room chair and sofa. There is/was a small pot up in the cabinet that has caked on dried food stuck to it. I ended up purchasing all of my own dishes to cook with because everything was so disgusting. On our final night, May 23 2025 there was a roach that crawled across the door frame to the room. I suspect the old food stuck on dishes is a contributing factor to the roaches along with some of the extended stays. This is the ONE thing I did not take a picture of because it was fast and because my dad killed it and disposed of it.

One of the employees (she refused to give her name) took it upon herself to address me and my dog said \"can you please make sure you pick up after your dog\". Now - while it appears to be a reasonable request she did not give me an opportunity to pick it up before saying something. My dog was literally in the middle of dropping waste. I am a respectful dog owner and I actually brought my own bags (lavender scented) for waste. I have picked up every single time MEANWHILE my dog and I are dodging huge piles of dog poop from much larger dogs that have not been picked up.

This hotel and its employees all need to address those roaches, dirty dishes, misaligned door hinges, etc and not worry about me and my dog. I was willing to accept the wear and tear and even the dirty dishes but the roach, rude employees and lack of response from Joel the manager have changed my mind.

First time in Sonesta and the last one. I have never been so poorly treated by a morning desk attendant. She yelled at my kids for looking at hot breakfast before 7am and was on a 10 min tirade for how rude it was for us to come before 7am. The person who brings the food did not mind, he actually felt bad that she treated us that way. What a refreshing start of the day and a piece of 'southern hospitality'.
The property itself is a dump. Horrible smell of the carpet, damp sheets, lumpy mattress and pillows.

Matthew if that’s his real name, inquired about a guest service dog medical condition. This action was not only unprofessional but also a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA explicitly prohibits inquiries into an individual's disability.
Service dog users are not required to disclose their medical information, and asking such a question is inappropriate and potentially discriminatory. I believe staff training on ADA compliance. He was rude and lack common sense.

what i did like was it was like an apartment 2 bedrooms with a kitchen but we never got any service in the room no clean towels I am handicapped they put me in a building far away from the front desk where they serve breakfast on the second floor. an handicapp rooms should have grab bars in the bathroom very disappointed.

Hotel is dated, elevator in main building is not reliable got stuck one day and shakes plus I was in the room next to it and could hear it creaking. Housekeeping did not clean my room once and I had to ask for clean towels and put my trash outside the door it was similar with most guests it appeared lots of backs outside doors or at the elevator. Won't stay again. Not horrible but certainly on the dumpy side. The fold out mattress was stained terribly and had springs sticking nearly through the fabric. The gym was adequate but barely. Everything seemed in need of maintenance and repair. HVAC in rooms either burned us up or kept us freezing with no in between. Staff was friendly.

The property was great. Nice clean and cozy. My only problem was the guests that stayed above us. A lot of the people resided there on a temporary basis. So the ones that stayed on the 2nd and 3rd level you could hear every step bump and jump. Especially if they had children, it sounded like the ceiling was going to fall thru the roof. And it was nothing said or done about it. Other than that everything was nice. The kitchen could have used a better cookware set. There was no oven, only cooktop and microwave.

The rooms are spacious and ours was very clean. I had my daughter and her boyfriend stay here for Thanksgiving and Christmas, reserving thru Expedia. I called to extend the first stay, and got Antoinette. She was extremely rude and snapped at me. Unfortunately when my daughter returned for Christmas, Antoinette was working Christmas day. I reserved late checkout the day after Christmas for 2:00 for an additional small fee. Antoinette told them NO, that they would be charged for another entire day. She is SO RUDE, snaps at you and NEVER makes eye contact. This person has NO BUSINESS being in customer service. Finally, when her manager came in the day of check-out and was watching, Antoinette said they could stay until 2:00 because of the problem they had with their toilet the day before. (The lady that snaked the toilet was extremely nice and determined to fix the problem). So this Antoinette aka Dr.Jekyll and Hyde is ONLY nice and ONLY makes eye contact when a manager is watching. Its an absolute shame that these rooms are comfy but the stay was tainted single-handedly by one person. They need to re-evaluate their employees. Matt on the other hand, was very nice. Pleasant place to stay as long as you don't have to deal with extremely rude and unprofessional Antoinette. I've been in customer service for years and I would NEVER have this employee represent my company with her \"mad at the world attitude\". Otherwise, a good place to stay.
