This hotel is wonderful! The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was courteous and friendly. I highly recommend dinner. We had some of the best carbonara and pizza I have ever tasted.
The airport transfer was very easy. The driver was waiting for us, right outside customs, with our name on a sign. We also used their transfer to the cruise port the next day, which was great and only cost 8 Euros.

The property is a bit dated, but good for a stay over for boarding a cruise . The best feature is the cruise shuttle at a very reasonable price of 5€. If they can offer a shuttle service from the train station to the hotel that will even be better, the taxi drivers at Civitivecchia station are thugs, they will change the agreed price upon arrival ! Very bad experience to begin the journey!

If budget is the main consideration for a pre cruise stay, this hotel is acceptable. The location is a bit remote (30 minute walk to the main tourist area) and the property is extremely tired with dusty vents, peeling wallpaper, disappointing A/C and some apparent bathroom mould. If a renovation is not possible, a deep cleaning and cosmetic repair is overdue. The staff are friendly and generally helpful. The restaurant is acceptable. There is a local coffee shop and excellent pizza place nearby. Shuttle to the cruise port was good.
There are limited hotel options in Civiitivecchia. If budget is an issue, this is worth a look for an overnight stay.

They also hooked us up with a transfer to the cruise port in advance of our upcoming cruise. And, we had an excellent meal at the hotel - and two free breakfasts. I woiuld use the hotel again. But for the price and just 2 nights, it was fine.

Service was excellent! They picked us up from FCO (for a fee) at 1am, then gave us a late check out so we could sleep in. A short drive to the port (again, for a fee) to the port for our cruise and we were good to go.

When I asked to debone it, they were kind enough to do it however massive amounts of bones were in the meat. Bed comfort is just ok. They need updating . Internet access was good.

Borgo del Mare is an older hotel, but the staff was excellent. The hotel does have charm, but the bathroom was very old, and the amenities were few. For example, the shower needs to be updated desperately. The location is about 2 miles from the seaport and there was limited access to restaurants and shops.

A small hotel near the cruise port
We stayed here overnight as we embarked on our cruise the next day. They picked us up at the Rome airport, a paid service I recommend. The driver was easy to find since he had a sign with our name. He helped with our luggage & was very efficient. The tiny room was average, old but warm enough, quiet & clean. The bathroom was roomy & had hot & cold water. The restaurant had just 1 waitress but she was quick. Though it was full we didn't have to wait long. I had risotto with sea bass & hub had a pizza (see photos). Breakfast was not fancy but good enough. We'd stay here again on our next cruise out of Civitavecchia.

Parking is reasonably priced and very convenient. There isn’t much so make sure you park early. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good with many options. Unfortunately, the place is super old and in dire need for a renovation. It is a shame that it is stuck in the 1970’s or 80’s with outdated everything. Walls, decor, showers, etc. the air conditioning was weak and you couldn’t lower it below 20.5 and the room felt hot and uncomfortable. The hallways were hot, and you could hear the people in the other rooms.

Very good hotel. It was a very comfortable and clean room. The dining room was also nice. It was a nice and safe neighborhood with a couple of good restaurants. Glad it was only 1 night.
Hotel needed a lot of attention as very old, dated and worn. Breakfast very disapointing as food very average. Did not see how this was a 4 star hotel. Area was rather neglected however after 45 min walk into town this did improve.

The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a festival with loud electronic music close by which ruined the time outside but the upgraded windows of the hotel helped a lot. The decor is in serious need of upgrade. The dated wallpaper and border was peeling and damaged in spots. The old curtains were ugly and the door lock didn’t work. There was dirt/mold at the inside base of bathroom door, but the bathroom and hotel were otherwise very clean. The breakfast was great.
I wouldn’t stay there again until they get rid of the ugly dated wallpaper and curtains— an easy fix.

I booked at Borgo del Mare , but when I got there they could not find my reservations even though I had corresponded with them via the Expedia app. They put me and my husband in a lousy 3 star Hotel Trianao downtown that Noisy, Smokey with a very uncomfortable bed. I booked a 4 star and got at best a 2 store hotel. Horrible!

I stayed for a few days with my wife. the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible, they even supplied soya milk for breakfast. The rooms may be slightly dated but overall I wouldn't hesitate staying here again or recommending this hotel.

I was very pleasantly surprised prized how beautiful this Hotel was. Although there is not much within walking distance,The hotel has its own restaurant on site run by the hotel staff. It was very reasonably priced and the meals were delicious. It also included a breakfast buffet.
