Only disappointment was Breakfast Sausage links and hard boiled eggs are not what I considered a good breakfast buffet. No muffins either. I wouldn't know due to the stipulations of a security deposit being needed and I didn't have because this was a gift card from community organization reserving the room for me due to being homeless. I was told by the CSR they couldn't allow me to use the room without a SD. So I lost out on my gift card and a night's rest/shower, etc.

I had driven through severe thunderstorms and tornadoes - I was exhausted, and it was late, and my body ached from tension. I just needed someplace to sleep for a bit. This is a Wyndham, and I have always felt safe with them if I need a budget-friendly option. This ended up being none of that.
The room was disgusting. I have photos and a video. It was filthy, paint peeling off the wall, the sink was filled with food backed up from the dishwasher, and the bathroom area was filthy. I was so afraid of bedbugs that I did not sleep under the blanket or sheets, did not change out of my clothes, and would not bring my overnight bag in. I barely slept for 4.5 hours and left before dawn.

I am a senior, traveling alone with 2 small dogs. I drive cross-country all the time and have never felt this unsafe or completely disgusted that they would put anyone in a room like this, much less a senior. Shame on Wyndham for having their name on this dive.

Cleanliness was not good, walked into the room with crumbs on the floor and crumbs in the fold out couch. Cobb webs and dead flies in the closet. A lot of damage in the kitchen and bathroom.

The hotel was okay. The deposit on Expedia was showing for 100 dollar. Once I arrived The staff stated since it the hotel I picked was upstairs downstair the deposit was 200 dollars. Instead them allowing me to go added it to my bank card so they can hold until I complete my stay. They decided charged me the 200 via cash which I was already skeptical on. The main problem was once I was leaving to check out, I made sure everything was cleaned up property. The staff would not want to return the 200 cash deposit due to the wash rag and the sheet from the bed having little icing on it. It never my attention for icing to be on the sheet but it happens sometime but on wash rag you would clean up with it beyond crazy. Charging 200 for both items you need to clean after someone use is a bit much. The staff was very rude when I called the 200 deposit and wouldn’t allow me to speak to the manager. I’m beyond upset and I hope someone contact me about this. I’m truly disappointed in this hotel. I wish business, manager and staff do better on hospitality and customer skills.

Arrived and checked in but could t inspect room at that time. Returned at night and got into room- disgusting. Smell, hair, dirt, lock on slider door did not work, stains on mattress concerning for bugs. Went to front desk to request refund and leave. Front desk couldn’t do anything- called to manager on phone and she was rude and told me to leave property or she was calling the police because I was being rude. Refused refund. Hotels.com no help in refund because I paid on site. Have complaint in with corporate Wyndham. Believe the recent reviews- do not book here if you don’t want to feel unsafe, disgusting, and/or value customer service. This is a privately owned place just using the Wyndham name.

The best i can say about the room is that it was reasonably clean. The AC didnt work well or at all. The furniture was not in good shape. It just seemed old and not well cared for. Definitely not a 3 star hotel 2 star at best if thw AC was working.

It seems like they were apartments that are now hotel rooms. Things were just dingy, the \"fold out\" couch was a bigger version of those cartoon toddler foam couches. It was dark and there were no light switches for many of the lights, like in the kitchen and the bathroom. One towel and 2 hand towels in the main bath. No washcloths etc. The bed was comfortable and we made it work for one night

I liked the fact that it was a suite. The bed was comfortable and clean. Beyond that there was a fruit fly infestation, large pieces of glass missing from an internal window pane, you could see through the bottom corner of the exterior door, the interior molding and trim was falling off and covered in peeling paint, and the place smelled so bad my husband preferred taking a rest in our vehicle. The bathroom fan didn't work. It made a horrible noise when the motor tried to start. The shower/bathtub didn't drain properly, and the floor of the tub was sunken so bad you felt like you standing on uneven ground. One of the bedside lamp shades was broken. The outlets in the kitchen were covered in an unknown substance. We spent one night and checked out early.

Check in and out staff was friendly. The set up was a motel set up not hotel. The room was in an apartment like complex. The complexes were not well kept. The property was very \"shady\" and dirty. Once in the room it was worse! Dust on walls, ceiling, and curtains. No towels in the place. Hair in the shower drain! Stains in the sheets, everything was just dirty. It was in need of a deep clean. We got in very late and left about 8am. We weren't there long but I let the check out staff know about the lack of cleanliness of the room. Highly disappointed. Will never stay again

Older property with a maze of various buildings, hidden walkways, and outdoor stairs to the rooms. Only 2nd floor units were available and the wooden stairs where difficult at night with baggage. There was a large bag of garbage outside at the base of my stairs for the first 2 days. Room was no smoking but had a stale smoke smell. Good linens and towels and a comfortable bed. Shower worked well. Great variety of nearby restaurants and shopping. When I left a plastic cup had been placed behind one of my tires but I removed it before backing out. If I return to Dayton I probably won’t return to this hotel although it sufficed

1st floor rooms would be ideal for those with limited mobility or needing wheelchair friendly bathroom.

Reviews seem broken. Stayed April 9 and it was great. Worth it at twice the price and the breakfast was good. With good variety.

The room pricing was the only saving grace of this disgusting and poorly maintained hotel. No decaffeinated coffee and nohot water in the shower. Flooring was badly scuffed, and the paint on the walls was peeling in many places. The room thermostat was ineffective and kept going off dropping the temperature below the level of comfort. The front desk person couldn't find our reservation, even after I explained I had made it through Trivago. The door is rotted at both edges of the bottom and dirty, as well.

This property needs to be re-evaluated and the Hawthorn Suites name replaced with the word, \"DUMP!\"

We checked in that was fine, we were told where the room was at, and that began our first complaint, as it had snowed and we had to travel up two flights of stairs covered in snow with our luggage it was very slippery. The room was fine entering cold so we turned up the heat and it never warmed all night so we called and they sent someone who we thought fixed the heating issue, we stayed cold that whole day and night, it wasn’t fixed. The couch is old and musty very uncomfortable to set on traffic is so noisy it’s hard to rest I get it we are by a highway some new upgrades would help that greatly, some variety in cookware would be nice we had a burnt coffee pot only big pans to cook with. We thought it would be more like home away from home someone from front desk said they’d speak with management not sure if I’m going to be contacted about any of this but paying a $100.00 deposit for a two day stay in a cold room should have some sort of justification

The bed in the upstairs loft had the worst mattress I’ve ever tried to sleep on. When I sat on the edge of the bed the mattress crushed down nearly a foot. Lying in bed my wife and I rolled towards the outside. We could barely get any sleep trying to keep from rolling off. When my wife got out of bed I fell out of bed when the mattress shifted. Also several couch cushions were ripped; many lights burnt out; toilet made loud gurgling noise during refill of tank; it looked like blood stains on carpet upstairs. The breakfast food was not very appetizing. No ice machine. We will not be returning to this hotel again.

We walked into the room and the stench was overwhelming. We immediately left. The pictures of this facility were misleading. The clerk told us they've renovated twenty of their rooms but the two we got were certainly not included in the twenty. Wyndham should be ashamed to put their name on this place. We requested refunds and left to find other accommodations which took us until two in the morning. We wouldn't recommend evem housing your pets in this place.

It was interesting. Not enough parking, checked in and had to park 2 buildings away from the building we were in. It was sketchy, light switch covers busted, loose outlets, random mismatched bowls and a lot with a lid that was too big. Expedia should not be booking clients in a location that should have closed a long time ago. Room was dirty , many unsafe conditions, nothing at all like the description or pictures shown . Hotel is under new ownership. Renovating 1 rm at a time as I was told. We stayed 2 nights in a 2 bedroom loft. First night there was no cable connection nor internet connection for TV upstairs. There was no remote for bedroom TV downstairs. Couldn’t watch TV at all. Second night the front desk had dropped off remote and set up an internet connection for the TV’s. Drapes were torn. Couch had rips in the cushions. There were stains all on the floor. The tack strip for the carpet was sticking up on the steps. Visible. Had we stepped on it, we would have gotten hurt and needed a tetnus shot for sure. Upstairs toilet sounded like a jackhammer as it filled after a flush. Bed upstairs needed new box springs. Every time someone rolled over it sounded like the bed was gonna come thru the ceiling and land on the bed downstairs. The continental breakfast was mostly a cold breakfast. i.e, yogurt, cereal etc. Complimentary coffee didn’t offer any creamer. I complained and received no $$ discount or anything. The explanation I was given was they were under new management and they just acquired the property less than 1 month prior. It was nothing like the website showed. Worst experience at a hotel. If you thought about staying here, I would see what renovations were done before hand.

It was VERY apparent the bedding had not been changed. Pulled pack the covers and there was what appeared to be a blood stain and pubic hairs all over the sheet. It was late when we discovered this. Had to get up very early to catch a flight otherwise I would have demanded my money back. Slept on top of covers, covered the pillows with our dirty clothes and covered up with our coats! Still haven't received the $100 room deposit! Can't get anyone to answer the phone to find out the status! Bottom line, this place was disgusting! I will go to the top if I need to to get my deposit back! As nasty as this place was, I should get a full refund!!

Part of lock for the door was broken and sitting next to the door, so all could see it. I would NOT recommend this place for security reasons. Plenty of other motels close. Housekeeper asleep on job: coffee maker broken, shower drain sluggish, room needed vacuuming, extra blanket had what looked like dog food stuck to it, dried liquid of some sort in bureau drawer, empty juice box next to nightstand and Coke bottle in bathroom waste basket. Room generally was down-at-heel: frayed carpet, cracked door frame and tile, one closet door wouldn't close and the other came off its track, the winter wind fairly roared through the unweatherstripped balcony door.

The room was really ran down my beds weren’t made, looked like someone had already slept in them, the kitchen was not very welcoming for cooking I didn’t even want to use the coffee pot. The floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed, I didn’t even want to take my shoes off after a 12 hour drive. The tables were dirty one of the TV’s didn’t work the cabinets were missing doors. I will never stay there at that location ever again.

Call to make sure of breakfast first!

The whole reason for our choice of this hotel was the breakfast option. Unfortunately the app said there was a hot breakfast available but the revelation was they did not. The booking said breakfast, but failed to mention 2 day old bananas and oranges with oatmeal packets - no milk, water, or microwave. Besides no breakfast, the room would’ve been ok if it weren’t for the ceiling leaking water in the shower of our room from above, or the mystery stain on the carpet. Or other potential water leaks from above. Not to mention the curtain chewed to bits. We survived. Please check rooms b4 signing in.

The property was ok and the rooms were super spacious.

The big problem was they had a marajuana party downstairs. It wasnt just one puff. My room since I was right above it was filled with smoke so back i felt like I was getting high. When I called the staff said they wouldn't do anything. So I walked to the office and saw other's getting high as well.

I just couldn't take it I had to walk out.

Property is old and has not been renovated in a long time. Had 2 closets with no doors, tub/shower unit looked like it was the original. Shower rod had been installed several times and curtain wouldn't stay closed on either end. Was provided with bath towel only. Had to ask for wash cloths and hand towel which we were asked why we needed them. Owners are just cheap and cut corners. Sofa was old, dirty, with broken down cushions.

They gave me a refund code, here it is 18 days later, still no credit. I am shocked that Expedia still has this hotel listed as an option.

It is ok to stay in the hotel. However this hotel is totally different from Hawthorn hotel in other areas where I stayed before. Lower quality.

The hotel was old and outdated, the carpet and furniture was old and smelly. The parking was horrible if your building was in the back. At best I rate this hotel a 2.0. Only stay here if it’s a must. This place should be demolished

Listing says it has an elevator. They are 8 sperate two story bungloos. No elevators.
Shower curtain had a brown smear on it.
The lady who checked me in, kept saying \"Sorry it is our last room.\"

Unfortunately, this property was a big disappointment for a Wyndham property! I’ve stayed in numerous Wyndham properties with great success over the years. Honestly I am quite surprised they would be willing to have their name associated with this hotel! The size of the room and having a kitchen seemed like a great perk going in. However, upon opening the door and walking in I became concerned immediately. Drapes were torn and rods broken with draperies hanging ajar. Scratches, scrapes and gases in the walls. Kitchen cupboards were broken and kitchen countertop was sagging from the damage. Mirror in the bathroom was broken and numerous areas around the room were highly worn and all in all, disconcerting. We hoped that it had at least been vacuumed and clean bedding to allow us a good night of sleep so we decided to stay after seriously considering leaving. We would not stay at this facility again nor recommend it for anyone.

While the configuration of the room was ideal, the property has not been well maintained or cleaned. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, although it was a non-smoking room. There was a dead bug on my pillow. There were dead bugs in the refrigerator. The furniture was chipped, scuffed, and worn. The chair upholstery was worn, frayed, and ripped. The bed was broken, so I had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. The toilet did not flush. The room was not stocked with toilet paper in the upstairs bathroom. A bright light shown through the window, and the curtains were not big enough to cover the windows. The curtains were torn. The paint on the walls was done so poorly, the paint trim was painted over and there were spots were the paint didn't cover the walls. The free \"breakfast\" was a couple of boxes of juice and a few packets of fig newtons/granola bars. The pool was closed. I had to put down a $200 deposit on my credit card at check in, even though the room didn't cost that much. I was told the amount would be refunded in 5-6 days. This was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cheap motel

Did not look anything like the pictures, very run down and not well kept. The sheets were clean but the mattress protector underneath looked awful. There was also something slippery on the floor in the kitchen. There was visible water damage and mold on the wall under the bathroom sink. The room was spacious and had a full kitchen. Was fine for the night after going to a concert in the area but I would not want to bring my family there.

What about the comsumer?

Had a problem with gnats, the bed was very uncomfortable and not enough towels in the room. There was water in the dishes in the dishwasher that smelled spoiled. The customer service is rotten. They don't care about your comfort or satisfaction.
