Amazing stuff and chef. Breakfast and dinner 10/10.

Property itself is very rundown. Needs a good update and it will be a great place to stay. Needs a little reno and good clean. Location for snorkeling is amazing but Coral Coast is very very windy and a lot cooler than Nadi area. Keep that in mind.

I didn’t get to stay for this trip as I was admitted to hospital so tried to cancel and get a refund. The resort do not answer the phone or reply to emails so I’ve paid for a stay I didn’t take. Positively atrocious customer service.

Wotif didnt confirm our booking with Devos despite sending me a confirmatiom email so we had no where to stay when we arrived. It was easter and all the other hotels were fully booked and we had a 10 month old baby with us. The owner of DeVos kindly offered to put us up in their apartment at short notice as we had nowhere else to stay. I am sure e would have really enjoyed staying at devos if we had the chance and the staff were all so friendly and helpful but unfortunately due to Wotif completely messing up our booking the start to our holiday was completely ruined. I am so disgusted that this can happen and will definitely not be booking with wotif again.

Having our own bure by the ocean was very nice. However we had multiple problems that were quickly resolved. The property in general needs updating and better maintenance. Housekeeping didn't clean spiderwebs and a live spider between guests. Ant trails up the wall, small fan that was filthy and barely worked, rusty old mini-fridge that stopped working and ice melted onto flooring, inadequate lighting, no over mirror lighting. Wifi was only strong in the main lodge.
Continental breakfast was good and plenty to fill us up. We had dinner one night and it was the traditional lovo meal with a kava ceremony. The food was cooked in a fireplace. It was just ok.
In spite of these minor problems, we loved staying here. I chose it because it is authentic Fijian, not a tourist resort. I met the owner and some of his family. They were such nice people. This is not a luxury resort. it is more like a family beach lodge. They made us feel like family. You can't pay for that.

Nice place, but hard to find.

The place is great, just off the beach and with lots of activity gear included in the price (snorkeling, kayaks, paddles, etc).
However it is really hard to find the place if you are coming on your own. Do not trust the Google Maps location, it is not located near the roundabout in Sigatoka. It is 20 minutes farther down the road to Suva. From sigatoka, you need to continue your route down to Suva for about 20 minutes. At some point you will see on your right the Hideaway ressort, that means you are close. A little bit farther down the main road you will see a big cement wall with flowers on top. Just on continue an take the first entrance through that wall. Then make a left on continue until the end of the road and there is the property. There is no sign, so don't worry just go inside.

If you have reached the Total gas station near the cement wall that means you have gone to far, so just make a uturn.

Staff is very friendly, food is ok some of the courses have good value for money.

Some cleanliness issues in our room as an ant highway made its way through the window in the bathroom.

I would recommend though.

Hotel on the beach

Hotel was on the beach and walking distance to a supermarket, atm and service station, nice areas for snorkelling and walks along the beach, easy location to catch taxis and local buses. Staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. The Mango view room we booked was disappointing and photos did not give a true indication of the room. The room needed a good clean, even though housing did come in everyday, the room was not properly cleaned. We stayed for ten nights in total and there was three days in a row that room was not touched. There was only one key to the room, which was inconvenient. The fly screens were not sealed so mosquitoes could get in if windows were left open. The room was comfortable, beds were comfy, no tv, tea and coffees and sugars were not replenished until the last day. Food was excellent and owners very helpful when asking to books tours, cars etc. Has a nice feel to it downstairs and around the premises, swimming pool a decent size and nice to sit around it while having meals. Overall our stay was comfortable and good for what we paid. Main concern was cleanliness.

Highly recommend the DeVos

We where greated by the owner Ryan who looked after us from when we arrived to when we left. The room was nice and big and right on the water. All the staff where helpful and one staff David invited us to his village to met his people and experience his culture. Breakfast and lunch was amazing. This was cheaper then the bigger resorts and you get a more authentic experience. Thank you DeVos!

We spent over 2 hours trying to find the place, it has no signs at all and comes up on google maps in the middle of a roundabout 20mins drive away. Tthe manager told us he had been told a number of times that google was wrong but hadn't yet contacted them. The address is also wrong on Expedia's website. Our rooms bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the door wasn't hung it was just leaning against the wall. I told the manager, he moved us but didn't apologise just made up excuses. 2nd room had a tray of tea, coffee and sugar packets covered in ants as it had opened packets on it. Back to the manager, more excuses, no apology. The kettle in the room could only be turned on and off at the power point as faulty. A pressure pump outside our window turned on and off all night disturbing out sleep. The waste paper basket in the bathroom (only bin in room) wasn't lined and needed cleaning. Our room wasn't serviced at all while we were there, each day we were given a different excuse why it wasn't done. The chair and rug in our room was filthy with years of ground in dirt. Meals were expensive and very slow, 2nd night we had to wait an hour just to have our order taken (only 4 other people eating) Last morning breakfast was 2 hours late.

Surprise private hidden gem

Was a tough place to find. No signs on the roads. Expedia/last minute show on map place is in sigatoka but no where near. An error in system needs to be fixed.
Place was lovely. Pool great, ocean even better 20metres away.
Quiet, relaxing and food onsite.
Would stay again.

Excellent Boutique Resort right on the water

Our family enjoyed an excellent stay at De Vos - the Private Residence.
Our spacious bure was right on the beach, where we enjoyed snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding most days.
The staff were fantastic and aways willing to help.
As this is a smaller resort my sons were delighted to have the swimming pool largely to themselves.
Definitely the right place for us

Our stay could have been better

With the four days that we stayed at the resort, we would have like our room to be serviced more that just once. We come back to the room after a day out on our last nights stay and the room had been service (not complaining about that) however, we would have liked it to be serviced more then once.
The outdoor Air conditioning unit had been turned off on our return after a long hot day in the sun and was not very happy when that is one of the things we had paid for in our room package.

Relaxing stay

We have just returned from our honeymoon where we stayed at de vos for 6nights.
We stayed in the papaya room, this is the villa furthest from the beach but it is literally only 20 meters away. We would fall asleep listening to the surf each night.
The restaurant is very reasonably priced. A large hamburger was only $15fj. And was delish.
Room had everything we needed. And was so clean and tidy.
With only a few other guests the pool was never crowded infact most of the time we had it to ourselves.
If you want relaxed and peaceful this is the place

right on the reef

great location, right on the reef. A few things that could make it better? stayed in Bure 5 and its very noisy with the staff being all around the outside for washing etc. A toilet role holder in the bathroom would have been good As it is hot and the customers swim every day, clean towels should be provided every day. And the mozzies are terrible, should advise
the food was very good although I was charged 2 different prices for the same meal and the lack of vegetables served with each meal was very limiting
the staff were lovely and very accommodating, I will return

Private Holiday Experience

The hotel was just what we hoped for! The whole experience was very relaxing. We were right on the beach. The bure was just beside the pool but screened by plants for privacy.
The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. If we did not fancy what was on the blackboard menu the chef would prepare something special. The chef even came to apologise when we had to wait a while for our dinner order. The fruit juices were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble.
We always felt safe, well looked after, and never charged too muc.

Could not have been happier with our time at Devos. Everything was perfect. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, the view was stunning and the facilities were top notch! Amazing value for money and would rush back to stay again! Even got to watch Fiji win the Glasgow 7s.

Fiji's hidden secret

Spent 5 days in this beautiful location. Stayed in beach front bure with plunge pool. Woke up each morning looking at ocean, devine! Staff were amazing! They made my stay so special, beautiful approachable people who make staying at De Vos a memory I will treasure. The location and facilities are very good but staff are the true secret to making this an amazing place to stay.

Very nice little resort if you are looking for a peaceful place right on the beach, not tou much to do nearby by great for snorkeling, friendly staff. We got a free upgrade to a self contained unit because we were the only guests there, it had some small negatives like the air conditioning not working and only one pot no pan, but overall it was a vey nice place to stay

ダイビング目的で一人でしたので、部屋は大きすぎました。自然の中なので仕方ないですが、蟻がとても多くて気になりました。でも掃除はちゃんとしてあるし、シャワーの水圧も問題なし！ＷＩＦＩは滞在中ずっと使えてＦ＄４０です。一人なので割高に感じました。目の前がビーチでこの時期はサメの赤ちゃんがウヨウヨいて貴重な体験が出来ました！食事は美味しいですが、値段は高級ホテルと同じくらい高いです。しかも最後にまとめて支払をしますが、間違ってましたのでその場でチェックして良かったです。毎度ゲストがサインするとかすれば間違えはなくなるのでは？やはり、その辺がアバウトですね。大抵は欧米人しか来ないと思いますので皆さんレンタカーですが、私のように一人旅でローカルバスで来る人には歩いて５分でスーパーがあるのは便利です。（といっても結局１度しか行かずお水１本買ったのみでした。）オーナーファミリーがメイン建物の２階に住んでいて、こじんまりとしている宿です。ダイビング以外は外に出たのは１度のみ、乗り合いバスでシンガトカまで３０分です。ナンディから急行バスは２時間です。降りる時には『マウイベイのガスステーション』で降りて下さい。

résidence privée au bord de la plage.

Séjour dans une résidence privée avec des repas servis comme à la maison! piscine agréable avec petit spa pour chaque bungalow. vraiment très agréable, personnel serviable et efficace. Manque juste une indication pour trouver ce petit coin de paradis.
