A night between travelling home, lovely hotel. Slightly out of Inverness which is nice, out in the country. Room beautiful and spacious. Reception seating area is lovely and so comfortable to relax in, so many sofa's and chair's.

Drumossie is my hotel of choice in Inverness. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and good, quality, dining is available on site. Parking is no problem and access to the city centre takes only a few minutes.
A little note for management: on this occasion, I was disappointed that there was no tea or coffee available in my room and I had to collect some from reception and in the morning, there was no hot water in the shower at 07:00, despite running it at full heat for 10 minutes prior to going in.
I should stress that this is highly unusual for the hotel and staff were very understanding, but it would still have been nice if these facilities had been in place.
That said, the Drumossie remains the number one choice in Inverness and I would recommend it to anyone intending to stay in the city.

Hotel of choice for Inverness, Quiet and secluded with ample parking space. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. High quality catering though a more varied dinner menu would be good. Anyone staying more than one night will find it repetitive. Top quality breakfast but again, a limited range of choices.
Last three stays, I have not had a functioning desk light which poses restrictions on anyone with paperwork to attend to of an evening.
These minor hurdles aside, this is still the best hotel in town.

We (4 adults and 2 children) stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and reserved 2 rooms. Both rooms had black mold in the shower and a spider web in the corner of the rooms and a ceiling. The hotel had no hot water the first day and when we addressed the issue, we were told the plumber will fix it. We left for the whole day and when we came back there was still no hot water, and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. We could not even take a shower that day. The internet that the hotel provided is terrible and we had no internet for 3 days, and we did notify the front desk staff. One of the rooms was only cleaned once during our stay, while the other one was cleaned every day. The second time the room was cleaned the housekeeper did not leave any soaps for us that they did leave before in a small bottles. The staff of the hotel was nice and friendly. The breakfast was simple but good and £15 upon check in and £20 if you did not get it upon checking in. And you would need to order hot food from the menu and wait until the staff brings it over, as it was not set up all you can eat buffet. Overall it was a nice hotel, clean and staff was very nice. I arrived 5 minutes before breakfast ended and the staff was accommodating by providing take out plates for guests that stayed up in the room.

Beautiful property in an easy to access location close to Inverness. The room was really spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had a great sleep. The only minor issue I had was the water wasn’t very hot. The shower was warm enough to shower in when turned up to the highest temperature but much cooler than I’d have liked. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again

A hotel to avoid

We were due to stay here when an extreme weather warning was issued advising agai;st travel to inverness so we heeded the warning and stayed at Perth, (our previous location).
Obviously we needed to cancel our booking at the Drumossie but the hotel decided we would be charged in full even though we would be unable to reach Inverness through the extreme weather.
We appealed to Hotel.com but when they tried to get the hotel to cancel the booking and refund the charge they were replied to with verbal abuse by the hotel reception !!
Although Hotel.com were astonished by the attitude of this hotel they were unable to do anything about it except to mark the hotel on their records for the abuse their agent suffered .
As for us, had to suffer this charge by the hotel but will never book there again and will make sure other travellers know to avoid it.

This was hands down favorite hotel that I booked for our entire trip! The room was super spacious, the bathroom had plenty of counter space, it had a nice sized shower with nice water pressure! We ate both dinner and breakfast (we opted for the additional charge for breakfast with our reservation) at their hotel restaurant and the food was great! We were really happy to see that they had pancakes on the menu. All of the staff were super friendly as well.

We travel a lot and spend a lot on our hotels! For the fee we paid its was very disappointing. Firstly we could hear the people in the room next to us, it was like the walls were paper thin! I understand it is an older establishment but there is NO excuse for us to be able to hear the conversations like they were standing in our room. They were talking at normal levels it is just the noise carried. Secondly the lock on the door is a push in lock. I understand it is luxury hotel classification but we travel with a lot of items of value leaving our room with a push lock is very concerning. Staff were very kind and breakfast was good. Also the key fob for the room is very antiquated it is a long 4” hard plastic unit you must take with you and place into wall to get power to your room

Small room, not deluxe family room.

Good food and nice enough hotel but had booked a ‘deluxe family room’ don’t think it was a family room, pretty small standard room with an extra camp bed in it. Had stayed previously in a much bigger family room.
Busy with a wedding so expect they’d used up all the bigger rooms.
Probably won’t stay again.

Easy drive to Inverness

A pleasant stay. Room clean, well presented and comfortable. Ample free parking and an easy drive into Inverness. Excellent a la carte breakfast with lovely staff in the mornings. Downside was the highly unreliable Wi-Fi during our 3 night stay which made joining necessary work Zoom meetings problematic and frustrating.

Staff were lovely and the hotel is really nice. Main problem is the food portions. I ordered Pork with and it came with potato the portion of potato was the size of a 50p piece. Thankfully my wife had ordered extra chips so I had some of that with it. When it came to desert I asked for an extra scoop of Ice cream and unfortunately was not given it. At breakfast my wife had porridge and to be honest it was not porridge at all but some sort of slime with oatmeal. I asked for a latte coffee and was told that would be extra money for that. Shower was cold and came through were slow. In conclusion Staff were delightful hotel is lovely in brilliant location. Sort out the food and it would be 5 star. We spent £152.83 for one night bed and breakfast and about £72 for a 2 course meal without drinks and to be honest came away feeling ripped off.

This was luxury. If you have a car this is perfect. Quiet and beautiful with spacious rooms. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and were quick to check in with you. Would recommend if you have your own transportation, as it’s a ten pound taxi ride each way to town.
Breakfast is plentiful. Chef is flexible for allergies and preferences. Dinner is wonderful. We spent the birthday night there and the staff was wonderful.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed for 3 enjoyable nights in October 2021. Hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful at reception and in restaurant.
Good breakfast choices although no hot chocolate available for those who don't drink tea or coffee.
Room and Public areas generally good but starting to get tired, bath panel and carpet in our room starting to look shoddy. Also odd how 3rd bed in family room was folding type and furniture had been moved so light switch was behind pillow.
The only power sockets were on desk, need more these days for charging phones, tablets, etc.
A very nice hotel in good location but could do with some updating soon.

Spent one night at the hotel and was given a lovely, spacious room on the top floor. Everything was very clean and bathroom had lovely soft towels. I was asked to book my time for breakfast and as I had an early start next day, the breakfast room was quiet. If anything breakfast was a little disappointing. The buffet could have had a healthier choice of cereals. My tea was very strong and my toast cold and slightly burnt. There was a plate of cold meat and cheese on the buffet but this was not covered over. In saying this I would stay at the hotel as these small issues did not detract from my stay overall.

questionable 4 star rating

There were a couple of issues which led us to question the 4 star status. The first was the very poor water pressure meaning it took 10 to 20 minutes for the toilet cistern t0 refill and the shower pressure/flow was very poor. The second issue was that there was only one (old) lift and we had to walk a long way along from reception to access it and then had a long walk back along a corridor to reach our room.

Excellent overnight stay.

Problem free check in and everything explained professionally. Hotel overall was clean and well maintained. Room was comfortable for our one night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to be aware of the current Covid measures which made the stat safe and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and this was well presented and very good quality.

Nice hotel

The hotel is situated in an ideal location for holiday makers. The views around the property is nice and there aren't much traffic. The room was spacious and kept in a good condition altought the en-suite needs attention as there was a pool of water after shower on the floor. The breakfast was included with the stay and it was very nice. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
