Our room was lovely and clean. Would have been nice to have some bottled water as we forgot to take some with us.
The breakfast was disappointing as not much left when we arrived. No fresh coffee, bread, continental items. The only hot food left was bacon, small amount of scrambled eggs, tomatoes and small amount of beans. We waited for over 10 minutes, some food did arrive but not everything that was meant to be there. The poor young waitress done her very best and took alot from disgruntled customers.

A warm welcome but disappointed to learn on arrival that the bar doesn’t serve food in Winter and the restaurant was full. Charging for parking is a cheek - £12 a night for a pot holey, gravelly insufficient puddle. Breakfast was ok but they had ran out of hot water for tea and other things were running low at peak time on a Sunday morning. That said I think ending breakfast at 10 on a Sunday is a joke. Room was pleasant but didn’t lock so I had to be moved. Great location but

Stayed here with my 3yr old the staff went above & beyond rooms cleaned beds made everyday whilst we went on our adventures so was nice to come back to a tidy clean room as we arrived to the hotel we were upgraded the family room which was quite big! Like a small apartment was so nice breakfast was great too! Deffentily reccomend if you're visiting inverness 😊

My wife and I had the best experience staying here on our Honeymoon. We upgraded to a river view room which was very worth it in our opinion. The room was huge, the view was gorgeous, the restaurant was delicious, and staff was great... If you're into whiskey the Distillery / Brewery tour was awesome and Frazer, the bar manager and tour guide was amazing. Cant recommend this place enough

We enjoyed our stay at The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery overall. The room itself was pretty basic, and we were placed in an accessible room, which wasn’t something we specifically requested, but it was clean and comfortable enough for our stay.

The highlight was definitely the attached brewery and distillery, a really cool feature to have right on-site. The location is also a big plus: it’s right by the river and an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and other parts of town.

Not a luxury experience, but a solid 4-star stay with a great location and unique brewery/distillery vibe.

Our stay was good, the rooms were clean but older, the property was nice but some furniture definitely could be updated at this point and the staff were nice.

Once arriving to the property, we parked our vehicle alongside the river. We went inside picked up our keys as we had two rooms. The staff member was helpful and told us how to get to them, told us we could pay for street parking because it was less expensive for the one night stay (all very good).

Because we were travelling from Canada and through a lot of different places, we had pre booked a lot of things. One being a tour of the hotels brewery and distillery. The day prior to arriving the hotel sent us a discount coupon to book a tour, so we asked the receptionist about applying the coupon to our existing booking. She gave us kind of a hard time saying we should’ve done it prior to booking, but eventually refunded us the difference.

Overall the place was nice! The hotel, apartments, distillery/brewery, and waterside restaurant are all connected.

Having a brewery and distillery onsite was nice. There are picnic tables outside as well as indoor seating.

The rooms are in several adjacent buildings. Our room was on the second floor. There are no elevators. But our room was fairly large, comfortable, and quiet.

Stayed here on our honeymoon last week (mid October) and the location and condition of the hotel was just - magical. The bed was comfy, the shower - AMAZING. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our temperatures were in the 50s and 60s - and we were very comfortable in our room.
There is a heater - but no central A/C - which wasn't a problem for us, as the windows opened to the cool air outside and we had a lovely crossbreeze. If you are planning to stay here - mind that there are no lifts - and we had to carry our bags up several flights of stairs. Our hostess kindly offered to help us - but we were able to make the trek on our own. These notations are just for those who are travelling who prefer those things - they did NOTHING to deter us - and the loveliness of the facilities, staff and location more than made up for these things. Stepping out the front door DIRECTLY to the Ness Bank was just stunning. We recommend a visit in the fall - as we loved our time here.

The location is amazing. The room was okay. Clean and comfortable. The staff was not the best. The staff at check-in seemed to not care we were there and generally looked bored to be there. The worst part was waking up to no hot water. So taking a shower was not very pleasant. When I brought it up to the staff, they just shrugged and said well there is hot water now. Yep, now that I’m packed up and checking out.

Very disappointed with this hotel. My room was nothing like the ones shown on the website. Felt like Harry Potter stuck under the stairs. Was in Inverness for the marathon, which made the supremely uncomfortable bed all the more irritating.
I know it’s a busy period for the hotel and their prices will be high to to demand, but I paid £215 a night, and it felt like a total rip off.
The bar and communal areas of the hotel were nice with lots of seating and good drinks. Just make sure you don’t get room 510 and you’ll probably be fine!..

My partner and I stayed here and, aside from the location, the experience was awful. The hot water never worked, despite repeatedly alerting staff, who were rude and unhelpful. The receptionist refused to give her name or fix anything, just kept asking us to be patient. The wifi didn’t work in our room either, and they clearly had no interest in addressing it.

The bathroom had only half a roll of toilet paper for two guests, and the front desk begrudgingly gave one thin, scratchy roll. The distillery tour was boring and poorly led by someone condescending with little knowledge to share. Breakfast was lukewarm, flavorless, and disorganized, and the hotel was dated and unclean.

It’s clear the hotel prioritizes money over comfort, expanding into multiple buildings without fixing issues or staffing properly. I booked through a travel site and tried to get a refund, but the hotel ignored requests and kept my money.

This stay was miserable, and they offered no compensation. I strongly recommend staying anywhere else in Inverness—avoid this hotel unless you have no other option.

We absolutely loved Glen Mhor Hotel. Really great location in Inverness. The walk down the Ness River and onto the Ness Islands was magical.
The Hotel was thoughtfully and easily accessible. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner if reserved was lovely.
Our room was huge and lovely, very comfy and modern, gorgeous bathroom.

This hotel is really a collection of other buildings that appear to have been apartments. Our room was small - typical in Europe. It was clean with a comfortable bed. The location was beautiful along the Ness River. We would choose it again if we return to Inverness.

Property is in a pretty part of town by the river. We were upgraded to a larger apartment which was lovely. Good bathrooms x 2 and good size bedrooms with comfortable bedding. Very clean and everything you need in the kitchen for cooking a meal or breakfast. The brewery was disappointing, only 2 beers available out of approx 6 and the guy behind the bar wasn’t friendly at all when asking about the beers. Overall accommodation was great and would stay again.

However the room smells badly of damp. It is a top floor room and I suspect a roof issue or leaking shower.

We found out we had not been rented a room in the real hotel, but rather a room above the restaurant. Would be better to disclose that. The room was fine, but not the cool experience we were hoping for when we reserved it. Food was good, room was clean, staff was great. It was just not what we expected from the listing we reserved from. Ask them if it is in the hotel or above the restaurant and you'll be fine reserving here.

The hotel location is excellent - it is along the river and just far enough from the main area to be quiet in the evenings. It was about equal distance from the river restaurants and the Ness Islands which made for very nice walks. We got upgraded to the two room suite which was fantastic and the staff was very helpful.

The rooms are a bit dated with no mini-fridge which was only an issue given the height of tourist season pricing. Breakfast; however, was terrible - we ended up doing breakfast elsewhere after the first day despite it being included in our room price.

30th Anniversary trip to Scotland

We enjoyed our stay at the Glen Mhor Hotel. It was very roomy and had a king bed. The bathtub was very high off the ground so climbing in and out for a shower was a little awkward. It was very convenient to walking all over town. Also we had a beautiful view of River Ness which had a lovely walkway on either side with easy access to bridges across the river. The WIFI was not very good however.

I had a single “bothy” room in the annexe, which was a building of two (presumably) identical rooms, free-standing beside the car park. It was spotlessly clean, compact but completely adequate with small kitchen area and en-suite. For £89 for a night I had low expectations but it was just brilliant. I’d definitely book again. Unbelievable value!

This property is in a beautiful location however came with some issues. The room we got was large and in a historic building however the doors were extremely heavy and the layout was very strange. The showers took a long time to heat up and then would cut out randomly. The internet never worked while we were there. The waterside resteraunt, which is the hotel resteraunt was one of the worst server experiences I have ever had, the food was mediocre and expensive. On the good side of things we had a great experience with the service at the brewery.

Overpriced hotel. Tiny rooms, I mean tiny. No soundproofing, so you can hear your neighbours above and to the side. Shabbily designed rooms. Breakfast was poor, no sign of veggie options (it is 2025). It is in a nice area, but avoid this hotel. If they halved the price I still would not stay there again. Decent breakfasts are available in town with, of course, veggie options.

Very convenient location and parking is great. Breakfast came with the room, which is always nice when you’re just overnighting. The rooms had plenty of space, this is not a brand new hotel but was comfortable and clean and the staff were super friendly. My only caveat would be that the bed in our room was on the short side. If you are over 6ft tall you may want to go with a king or queen if available. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience and would go back again if traveling through.
