The views where amazing and the placement was perfect for walking and catching transport. The hotel was doing renovations so I wasn't able to sleep in since the noise traveled from the lobby to the 1st floor. The restaurants on the grounds are very convenient and great for last bite to eat before turning in for the evening.

Absolutely loved our room with a full river and Tower Bridge view. Just beautiful. The hotel was terrific and the adjoining restaurant had what we thought the best fish & cups with mushy peas. Would go back on a heartbeat!

At check-in we were given a key card & pointed to the lifts, no information was given about the hotel facilities (we were not even told where breakfast would be served). There was no information in the room either (except a room service menu) where I would normally expect to find some, either as hard copy or available on TV.

The bathroom was hopeless - lighting was totally inadequate, the brightest lighting being directly above the bath, which was behind you when standing at the sink and trying to use the mirror above it and therefore left one's face in shadow. although there were lights above the sink area they were so dim as to be no help. Also, on Day2 we returned from a day out to find the bath (which we had not yet used) contained sludge, which must have come up through the plug hole.

We tried to charge a meal taken at the Vicinity restaurant (within the hotel) to our room as I would have expected to be able to do, but we were told it was not possible because our room account was not set up for credit, although we had never been asked or offered the chance to do this. As a result we were unable to benefit from the promised discount on food and drink charges obtainable by declining the servicing of our room.

In summary, not impressed especially at the prices charged. The only positive was the view of London Bridge, especially when it was being raised.

I like the location as it is convenient and close to lots of interesting things. But the hotel itself is very old. The toilets were not flushing properly. It was hot in the rooms and we had no control on the thermostat. The entrance smell like fish all the time.

Stayed here for 1 night from May 5-6. Honestly the view from the room and the location were the redeeming qualitie of this hotel. The rooms are EXTREMELY dated. While the room was clean, because of wear n tear it made the room look uncleaned. From stains in the carpets, chips on the dated furniture and the bath tub that is waay to high and overused. The staff were friendly and helpful, we accidently locked ourself out of our safe and they immediately sent someone up to fix.
Owners need to reinvest and update the rooms for the prices they are charging per night.
Unfortunately because of this I would not stay here again

We could not stay at the Tower hotel. Our plane made us go back a day earlier talk to hotel.com they said they would call the hotel to see if I could get a refund. I talked to the hotel and they said it would be no problem so hotel.com lied to me and I will never use them again or recommend them. We lost 200 and something dollars on a room. We couldn’t even stay in and all hotel.com had to say was worth sorry but I talked to two different people at Tower Bridge Hotel and they said no problem but we had to go through you hotel.com so you guys are liars

The room could have done with a little updating, but the hotel itself was excellent. Modernisation work is going on in the reception area which was noisy whilst having breakfast in the restaurant, but that didn’t spoil our stay. The hotel is ideally placed for Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Buses and underground or within a very short walk.

All in all a very pleasant stay, will be returning again soon.

The carpet in the room is stained, the drawers were extremely hard to close.
The furniture is outdated and shabby. However, the bed was comfortable. The bedding and bathroom was clean and the towels were nice. Also, it's a great location.

you offered me an upgrade at the cost of £100 i assumed for room upgrade and breakfast but only got breafast £100 for 4 very average at best breakfast is more than we paid for dinner in soho including a bottle of wine also you fidnt tell us about extensive renovations so being woken up by builders and jack hammers when iv paid over £400 for two nights is quite a shock so i think il go back to booking . com as they tend to give much better updates and not charge the earth for corn flakes and coffee !!.

A lovely stay for my daughter’s birthday weekend. I’d popped a note to this effect, in the special requests when booking. We arrived to a room with a view of the Thames and London Bridge. There was a birthday cake, drinks (Coke and Diet Coke!) alongside a lovely welcome letter. The hotel was in a perfect location with various places to eat out and positioned next to the Tower of London, which we visited the next day. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of hot and cold choices and views to the Thames and Marina. Highly recommend.

First of all there was construction going on in the lobby. When we got to our rooms on the 8th floor, they were terrible, dust everywhere, hangers left on the bed and the ironing board leaning against the cabinet. Bits of plaster all over the carpet.
I immediately asked to speak to the manager who was very apologetic and said she would arrange for our luggage to be moved to new rooms. When we returned from our show, well, what a difference, it was like we were in a different hotel. I understand they are in the middle of renovations and we truly appreciated how quickly everything was handled.
The view of Tower Bridge was totally worth the hassle!!!!

The view from the room was outstanding. I had a room with a view of Tower Bridge. The food at the hotel was quite good. If I had to knock anything, it would be two things: The bathroom and the bed area. The bathroom seemed dated. There were no outlets by the bed to plug in to either. I don't know if I've ever seen that before. I'd recommend the hotel, but be aware of what you'll find going in.

Location of hotel was nice, you really are right on the water & the staff were very nice & friendly however the room was extremely outdated, not in a preserve the original architecture but in lack of upkeep, random holes in the bathroom, missing light fixtures, black spots all along the ceiling in the bathroom. The lobby of the hotel was also under construction.

Stayed here a few times now on our yearly visits to London. Will be back next year too! Great location, rooms are nice for a few days (we just book basic). Staff are always friendly and hotel is clean. Lifts re busy especially in the morning at peak times for breakfast and people leaving hotel.
It’s to choose from at breakfast tho try and not go between 9am and 10.30 - tho you do always get seated.

Well - here's the good, the bad and the ugly.
We first arrived jet lagged as all get out and were greeted nicely by the front staff. Check in was easy. We paid extra for a tower view hotel and upon entering our room, the view was magnificent. That was quickly shrouded but the stifling heat in the room! It was stagnant and so very warm. I searched around the room for a thermostat and located it but it wouldn't turn on. I called down to the front desk and was informed that they do NOT have air con - why have a thermostat? At this point we started to look around and saw various signs that the hotel needs some upgrades.
On the bathroom, what was a towel heater rack no longer worked. The front of the bathtub had a painted wood panel over it and was chipping away leaving large areas of open wood with splinters. The tile was pitted and needed extra love.
Lastly, the big one: we had do not disturb lit the entire time we were there as we prefer no service an no one in rooms while we are out sightseeing.
On day two, we arrived back to our room and noticed the bed had been made and freshened up. However, the bathroom look like it had been left in a hurry. The trashing was in the middle of the of the room. The floor mat and used towels that were hanging in the bathroom were removed but no new ones were left.
I complained to the front desk @ which promised to respond and I haven't heard back regarding why they entered without notice.

Upon arrival staff checked us in but were not forthcoming with information. Pointed and said breakfast is over there but actually breakfast was up the stairs on the UpperFloor.
Rooms were a tiny bit worn and in need of a refresh. The windows looking out from the breakfast room needed a clean to be able to admire the view.
Snacks and drinks to buy in reception were expensive, far better to walk 5mins to Tesco Express.
Location is excellent for TowerBridge and St Katherine Docks. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance and even across the bridge there are some other options.
Breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional just as you’d expect of a normal hotel. Decent times at the weekend from 0630-1030.

Rooms are in real need of renovation. Stained carpets, grubby bathrooms, mouldy ceiling, chipped bath, dirty walls , plug sockets not working well, stained bed linen. We had 2 rooms and both poor.
The bar on the upper foyer is very nice and the location was convenient.

Our first room was filthy- the ‘cleaning rag’ was even left in the bathroom which turned out to be a dirty pillow case. Was moved to a different room and was told we would have that room for the remainder of our stay. However, was told the next morning we had to move and was left without a room for the day until after 3pm. The put up bed for my 7 year old was not in the room. Took us telling reception 3 times and it was eventually brought to the room at 8:30pm. Very outdated rooms and not as expected. Breakfast also not worth the money. Reception staff unhelpful.

There was work going on when we arrived! And had not been told about this. The room we was in was very small but had a fantastic view of the bridge. The tv didn’t work and the sink was blocked so brushing your teeth and washing your hands was a challenge. The bed was very comfortable but found it hard to sleep as curtains were not big enough for the window so light coming in from both sides and middle. Luckily we were only staying for one night . I had always wanted to stay there but I can’t see us ever booking it again.

I loved the location of property. Accessible to London tower area and great river views. Rooms are large by London standards but entire property and rooms are very aged and elevators very slow. I think the property has not had a major renovation in 30+ years. Bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner. No soap - only a combo shampoo and bath wash. All products very watery and cheap.

Price reflects the room. They upgraded us to a tower view room for free as we paid for 3 nights. The view was nice. The room however was 1990s. Old ripped carpet. No fridge. Drawers were old. Rusty bath chrome. Construction air hammers in lobby.
Pros.... shower worked. Lots of hot water. Good food at restaurant but very expensive when you convert to Canadian $. Good view. Good elevators.
Location is awesome....walking distance to many sites and the Tower tube to anywhere in city. Free water in your room.

The breakfast bar was pretty hard core! Omlette station, hot items, bread/toast/pastries, cereals, yogurt & fruit- this was big & plentiful. Excellent value!

Location cant be beat! Right outside Tower Bridge, bus stop to all major attractions near by, tube near by... this hotel can be very local.

The bed was gorgeous!! Curtains were heavy enough to block out light for a deep restful sleep. Cannot hear any noise from outside- best sleep I've had in months!

The tv in the room didn’t work. One of the lamps was broken. To use the cold tap you turned it on then had to turn it off again to make it work. There was marks all over the bedroom walls and on the windowsill. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and the first time we have been disappointed.

Great location. Dark, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Nice view even though it wasn’t a room with a tower view. There was a problem with the toilet, we told staff and it was fixed straight away.

No mini fridge in the room. No plug sockets/outlets next to the beds. Some of the furniture and fixtures were very worn and could do with replacing.

I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Tower Hotel. Although the furniture was a little tired & dated, everything else was great. The view was excellent, the location is perfect & the staff were all brilliant, they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I'd recommend it for a stay in London & would definitely stay there again.

Room is a bit confusing and outdated. You need to flip the breaker to use anything upon arrival. I kept turning all the lights switches with no results until i figured out the breaker switch. Also, they have a good selection for breakfast but the scrambled eggs are only half cooked. Not sure if thats a london thing or just bad luck on my part. Overall, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Plus the view from your room is awesome!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. It is in a safe area and close to an underground station. There is also a taxi stand directly outside the hotel. Small tip to travelers - there is no air conditioning, but that is common for this area.

The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. And the hotel was very convenient to tour bus stop, Tower of London and Tower Bridge. We had a great stay at this hotel.
