Not one to leave a bad review but this one I am. We checked in and although it was Boxing Day, we were not told of any changes in services. We got to our room and had one towel. Woke up the next morning to go to breakfast and couldn’t get into the building. The info in our room said breakfast at 7:30am. We waited until about 8:30 then knocked on a door that appeared to be a live in staff member. She answered and told is the hotel was closed for the day. No food and no services. We should have been told!!! The next day, while at breakfast, the waitress yelled at us for placing an empty mini cereal box on the empty table beside us. It was not a good experience at all. I will say the gentleman who appeared to run the hotel was very nice and was kind enough to run a load of laundry for us. Just needs more communication and kindness from staff!

One of the reasons we choose this hotel is because they indicated that they had laundry facilities on site. There were no facilities on site for us to use. Rather, we were told that the staff could do it for us; they way this was shared with us was as a favor, not a service. We ended up with a pile of wrinkled clothes and a bill of 40 pounds. We felt taken advantage of in this process. The expedia discription should clearly indicate laundry service not laundry facilities. Very dissatisfied with this.

Manager Anna-Maria went above and beyond to make our stay here, exceptional. The owners of this establishment are fortunate to have her as their manager. Convenient seven minute walk to downtown, in a safe neighborhood. Great parking. Overall great little hotel.

READ BEFORE BOOKING! The hotel charged my credit that was on file a few days before checking in even though I had selected pay at property when booking. I thought ok fine it’s paid…one less thing to deal with when we get there. When we arrived the lady at the desk was extremely rude and tried to claim it wasn’t paid yet even though I showed her it went through on my card. Then she admitted they pay less fees if she runs a card in person. I again replied it’s already been charged to my card. She got the owner who was also very rude & he demanded we pay again. So I paid twice for a room that wasn’t even very nice. (Called my CC later to get it resolved) After traveling all over Scotland this was the only time I ever had an issue at a hotel and honestly the only two people I came across who were extremely rude. Definitely do not recommend staying here. Furniture is very old and outdated and rooms are extremely small. You could also hear people in the rooms next to you. When you walked on the floors the furniture would shake & rattle. The breakfast was very minimal and heard guests complaining about it. Not worth the money or the hassle and didn’t appreciate paying TWICE especially when on vacation and a budget. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else. Btw this is the first bad review I have ever written because I’ve never had such an awful experience like this.

Doubled booked and not happy
The hotel had double booked me, and I was taken a few hundred yards down the road to a guest house, Parkhill, the room was very small and during the night the house was noisy with comings and goings, my room was directly opposite my room, if I had been given notice I would chosen another hotel.
I was no pleased at all to be honest, all I was offered by the Radcliffe was a free breakfast, I will not book there again it spoilt the rest of my day.

How anyone thinks it's ok to charge nigh on £100 for a cupboard with no window and no fresh air. Stuffy, airless, claustrophic. The price I paid was advertised as a special offer so I paid £82 including taxes. I find the promotion of this price as a special offer misleading, it's barely worth half that.

The location was not as easy to get to on foot as i would have liked, but I imagine if you are driving it would be a very convenient location. This is a great place to stay if you are in Inverness. Inverness is small, so many places are walkable within the city. Although this place is a little higher up, it is an easy walk up the hill. The main market street with places such as Mark and Spencers or the transit station is about 15 minutes away, so there is no need to rush.
The place is very clean. I gave 3 stars for the facility condition because it is old and flaunts it. It is an historical building, so there are creaks when you walk around the hallways, but overall, it is a very beautiful and pleasant place to stay. It is so close to Inverness Castle, which, unfortunately, during my stay, was still being renovated, so I wasn't able to visit, but I highly recommend this place.

I like choosimg smaller places like this one over larger and corporate hotels because you get a different experience vs big places. Redcliffe did not disappoint.

The lady who checked me in was great, and two of the men jokingly pushed each other out of the way so they could be the one to carry my bags up the stairs. I loved my little single room; it was perfect for a solo traveler. It was clean, well-kept, and the bed was comfortable. I plan to stay here again when I come back to Inverness in a few months. Also, their breakfast sounded like a great value; I will have to try it next time.

My husband and I recently stayed here on our honeymoon, and we loved how quiet it was, while still being super close to more of the city action of Inverness! The room itself was spacious, and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We were able to enjoy our time in our room, but then walk to busier areas for dinner and a bar later on. The wifi was great, and the breakfast options the next morning were awesome too! We'd definitely recommend the Redcliffe if you're in Inverness!

This is a lovely little hotel just a 10 minute walk from the station. The room was impeccably clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and toiletries provided. Restaurant was superb. Very high quality cuisine. The breakfast was excellent. The Omelette Arnold Bennet was delightful and there were numerous choices.

I had an omelette, must be very borderline if you need to plan a few eggs into the daily budget. She demanded to know who booked me in the night before. I refused to tell as I feel that person would have been treated harshly. The basically pushed me out the door as I was rude in questioning why she is treating me this way over a breakfast.

Hotel is located on the top of the hill not far from the Castle. Had a single room which was compact and bijou but was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was also clean, the shower was good and the design was really well thought out with ample hooks to hang your towel in easy reach of the shower and a basket to put extra bottles etc on under the shower gel dispensers. Welcome was friendly and check in/out was quick and efficient. Nice place.

There was no indication in the listing that the room didn’t have a window, which considering the room was £124 a night is bad form. I wouldn’t t have booked if I knew this was the case, get the feeling they’re cashing in on the NC500 like every other hotel in Inverness!

We were looking for a night away in Inverness, within walking range of the town centre. We found the Red life which had an executive double room, and we decided to treat ourselves. My husband went to reception to be told that there had been no other complaints and it must be us who couldn’t work out how to use it! We’re told they could come over to show us but we’re too busy. Given that it was one of the hottest days of the year, we were annoyed we couldn’t have a proper shower. In the morning, we went over for breakfast and again there was nobody there. We stood for a while, then left our key and went into town where we had a lovely breakfast.
