Dunhallin was a very lucky find. If possible, I would give it 11/10. I stay over a lot in Inverness and I'll certainly use Dunhallin again. Friendly and welcoming hosts, Room was well appointed and warm, clean and comfortable. Onsite parking and easy access to the city centre. Great range of breakfast choices and excellently presented. Room was spacious and the quiet area made sleeping easy. I really appreciated the little touches which added to the comfort, such as fresh milk for teas and coffees, a range of teas in the room and hot chocolate and biscuits.
For me, this is top of the tree for Inverness, and I highly recommend Dunhallin.

Sandy and Margaret are the friendly owner of this amazing guesthouse. We had a fantastic welcome by Sandy. Our room was super, with real fresh milk on the wee fridge! The breakfast is massive and the granola with yogurt and honey was..... Incredible! They also have lots of details in the breakfast. Of you love books, they have a fantastic library with a couple of sofas for relaxing and enjoying some readings. We will come back soon!

The Dunhallin House is a little over a mile away from the city centre, basically about a 30 minute walk. If walking isn't your thing, you can easily call for a cab if you don't have a car.

Our stay was very good but oh so overpriced. £250 for a fairly normal room. The only thing that made it different from other stays elsewhere was the service from the face to face staff. Overall cost including food was £380 which I think is massive for a hotel with few facilities

Such a lovely guest house with welcoming hosts. The guest house is so quaint and clean. Our room was comfortable, spotless and charming. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Ideally suited for Inverness airport and the city centre. We stayed in room 2 which has two skylights, ideal if your a Star gazer. Room warm and cosy. Quilt incredibly thick. The reviews are true - the stay really is that good! Karta immediately appeared to greet us and give us a run down on how things work, then showed us to our immaculate room. The breakfast - perfect. Everything you could want. Room; tidied every time we came back: spotless. One of the mornings we had to rise early to attend a tour, and was made a packed lunch (by Karta) as we were unable to make breakfast (see pictures!). Room was incredibly cosy with food, WiFi and area/town info for us to consider. Sandy was very friendly, welcoming and warming; but unfortunately we missed Margret. On checking out, they also - kindly - agreed to let us store our bags there so that we could enjoy our last day exploring without lugging them around. Finally, the bed/bedding: THE best, comfiest bed and nights rest we have had in a long time. I mean, seriously. Words won’t do it justice, you’ll have to see for yourself ;)

Was in Inverness for a night and had booked Dunhallin, and what a wonderful find! Honestly wish we could’ve stayed a couple more nights just due to the sheer generosity of the proprietor’s Margaret and Sandy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quaint stay in a city environment. It is about a 35 minute walk to the City Centre, and a 5 minute car ride. The room was immaculate and comfortable and breakfast was top notch.
