The room and bathroom needs deep and detail cleaning. Plenty stain on the wall especially near bathroom.
Shower head needs to be update, it’s old and very low it is hard for tall adult to stand and wash hair on the shower. Carpet feels sticky. This hotel is very high traffic, which is good for business but need to do detail clean to bring up the quality of the facility. The staffs is friendly.

Hotel itself is okay the only thing I did not like was the elevators, They are sooo slow you have to wait about 10 minutes every time you want to use the elevators to go up or down. Usually by the time the elevators get to you they are already full with people so you have to keep waiting for another one. I visited other hotels where friends were staying at and they had more floors than ours did and their elevators were fast and easy to access so not sure why our hotel was so slow. The $50 dollar parking fee per night was also a no for me specially because parking is very limited there. We ran out of toilet paper and even tho the cleaning crew would go in to clean the room they did not replace the toilet paper I had to go and ask for some. Other than that the room was fine it had a king bed and we had free breakfast every morning so that was a plus.

Throughout my stay in holidayinn, I room were cleaned everyday and breakfast was really good. Everyday they have different menu on breakfast and last but not the least staff were really friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this place to everyone.

Great option for the price! 15-20min walk to the beach, kind and courteous staff, very clean and well maintained room and the daily breakfast included in the stay saved us money. Parking is first come first serve so not guaranteed every night. The front desk was very helpful with providing us alternative options during check-in but note that that alternative options are located a few blocks away.

It was a smooth check in and they served breakfast which helped for the trip. The rooms were comfortable, the only issues we faced were the elevators do take awhile and the hot tub was not hot instead ice cold. But over all it was a good stay and I would go again.

For the price it is what you'd expect. The spa was not hot. Other guests said it was broken. The pool is smaller than I'm used to. Breakfast was very good with variety each day. Elevators were an issue for floors 1-24. Only two worked and cleaning staff used them too- we rode with a worker hauling out garbage one day. Lines would form for elevators after breakfast. The parking exit gate was temperamental. The room was small but clean.

There is not hot tub; just COLD JACUZZI I was really disapointed this is my first time in Hawaii and their elevator was ALSO broken; we had to wait over 10 minutes to go up or down. The people giving information on the activities all give you different prices for the same activity; you need to make sure all prices are accurate. Some of the staff don't even answer a simple hi \"aloha\". They give you the same breakfast evey day no variety. It was boring.

My honest opinion everything was good. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. It's always someone at the front desk and willing to help. The rooms are nice and clean kinda small but very cozy. The rooms are cleaned daily and well maintained. The breakfast buffet is nice. Also the location is very ideal. It's located near a lot of restaurants, the beach and shopping areas. I definitely plan on staying there again when I go back to Waikiki.

The only negative thing was the hot tub didn't get warm but that's a minor issue. Other than that everything was great

Check in and check out is easy and fast. The staff are all welcoming and very helpful. The location is also not bad it’s a walking distance to the beach, good eating place and shopping center. The hotel is clean and they have a very good breakfast selection. The only downside is for the weeklong I stayed the elevator is super slow and only 2 is working sometimes it takes 30-45mins wait if the elevator is full. We always eneded up using the staircase.

Not great things: the elevators get full of guests and staff, only 2/3 elevators are functional and it’s very inconvenient getting from your room to the lobby, vice versa. It also gets very noisy at night during windy times.

The rooms where decent, the bathroom was a little dirty but overall nothing that couldn't be overlooked. The rooms are somewhat small but if you have the \"I only need a room to sleep\" mentality, it shouldn't be a problem. One of the elevators wasn't working, it was faster to take the stairs sometimes. The location is good, a lot of things where a 15 minute walk.

I was really impressed how the hotel entrance looked very nice, but the wait time for the elevators was too long. Also the rooms are sooooo small the pictures do no justice. The bathrooms could be updated the tubs are old. The breakfast hall could be bigger. It felt to rushed and confusing.

The Building Is Old.
The people at the front desk when we checked in On May 22, 2026 does not have the Aloha Smile, Personality & Character.

The Elevator is slow,
Almost everyone we meet complaining about it, having to wait up to 15 min to get a ride.

Parking is terrible.
They use the spaces for their laundry big bins which take up spaces.

On the day we werr to check out.
I received a call on my cellphone- a very rude nasty staff who was also very condescending blabbering about our parking.
She didnt even ask she assumed immediately and was lecturing me about how we should park.
I thought to myself , who is this woman.
Who she thinks she is talking to - her kids and lecturing. I just woke up when I got the call.
She even said, you should be paying extra for your parking.
She hang up like it was nothing.
I called the front desk back and told the other person who answered , that one of their staff ia rude.
She was on speaker phone when she called me and all my friends who was with ne heard how she spoke.

Very unprofessional,
There is always a nicer way of saying things, specially to a paying customer.

It was May 25, 2026 at 653am when that lady called me.
I hope she gets repimanded at the very least written up for having such rude attitude.

Very reasonable prices for a very expensive area. Waikiki is very walkable. And has easy bus access near the hotel as well. Breakfast was a full buffet style with eggs, pancakes, sausages, pastries etc. Rooms were clean. Views were actually pretty great. I didn't expect that! Staff was friendly and helpful when needed.

It was ok. 2 of 3 elevators were working, which was brutal. Caused 5-10 minute wait times per call. We ended up taking the stairs to avoid the wait, and that was no cakewalk! Don’t like how parking is 45+ per night either. Staff was helpful in my requests. Cleaning was awesome after each morning. Breakfast was also plentiful!

I had some high hopes for this place.. holiday in is usually very well maintained.
Upon arriving we got in earlier than check in and wanted to hang out in the pool and hot tub area. We'll surprise surprise... the pool was cold and the jacuzzi was colder.. the jets would but literally not hot water. When asked if they could turn it on theu said it has been broken for week. When asked why we are being charged an amenity fee for amenities that dont work?
We literally came here because they had a pool and hot tube and breakfast and were close to the beach. We'll we weren't that close to a swimable beach and the breakfast was the same egg patties and sausage everyday. We asked for bath towels and never received them. Literally no aloha magic here.

The breakfast was awesome. One downside was the elevators. We were on the 43rd floor out of 44 and we were always waiting a long time. Also our elevators didn’t have a button for the fifth floor where the pool was so we had to go down to the lobby go into a different elevator to take us to the pool. Overall, an amazing stay though.

Our stay did not work out so we had to find a last minute lodging. We relied & trusted reviews & chose Holiday Inn Express at Waikiki which we were very grateful of.
PROS:
1. The lady in charge of the 15th floor did not miss cleaning our room daily. We did not need to ask. She even asked if we needed anything else. She was very nice, always present & approachable.
2. Buffet breakfast is exceptional. We were amazed with lots of people staying in this hotel & staff catered to everyone’s needs. They picked up plates & trays & cleaned tables promptly to be available for the next guests.
3. Since we were there already in Honolulu with our luggages, we were accommodated for early check in & were in our room by 12 noon.
4. Since our flight was scheduled late evening, we were allowed late check out at 1pm. They held our luggages for free while we tried to continue to visit other spots. We ended up staying in their comfortable lobby the remainder of the time until it was time to head to the airport. Lady at the front desk even lent us a key to the bathroom during our wait.
CONS:
1. There were only two elevators serving our floor. One was down. There were three other elevators but serving different floors. There was a wait & elevator is mostly packed especially after breakfast. But it was okay for us. They have a lot of guests.
2. Front desk is always busy and has a long line. If assistance is needed, it would be better to be there in person and fall in line. They will gladly help.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, staff always made sure it was hot and it helped that one meal was covered. It’s an older building but the rooms were clean and well maintained. Parking can be a bit annoying; once you check in you prepay for parking $49 a night …if you come back to the hotel late, parking is full so you have to park 4 blocks away- pay $50 there and come back to the lobby that night and take that prepaid parking off your stay. It was a hassle that night so we took Uber next couple of nights if we wanted to stay out later and leave the rental car in the parking structure. Location was convenient, walking distance to the beach and restaurants and a few blocks from the food trucks. I would stay there again. Next time I’ll use the pool- I was always at the beach

The Holiday Inn was a nice stay. The room was clean and we received fresh towels daily. The elevators are pretty congested so give yourself enough time especially if you are on one of the higher floors. The hotel itself was nice, a little stuffy in the hallways but once in the room the AC was nice. When we stayed the hot tub was the same temp as the pool which was not the worst thing. The gym was enough to get in a quick workout but nothing too special. I think next I would spend a little more money to stay closer to the beach as we walked almost everyday towards the Hilton Hawaiian Village area. Even though you aren’t typically in the room much I think it’s still a nice touch to come back to something a little nicer. Overall a great stay for the price and breakfast every morning was a nice touch!

This was our first time in Honolulu. We had an amazing experience. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Virginia and Sheryl were very professional, friendly and helpful. They used sense and sensitivity to our needs and gave us the best advice about the hotel and its surroundings. We are totally satisfied with the staff, the cleanness of the room and the breakfast. We will definitely consider ING hotels for our next trip.

It is ever well maintained and clean. If you are staying for three days or less, upgrade your room. The elevators on the regularly priced rooms are a different bank and slower. Upgraded rooms generally will be using the elevators to the upper floors and are express. Parking is first served so evening arrivals may need to park on the street. There is street parking a few blocks away. The breakfast is good and there are lots of staff to help if needed. A good variety of food.
There is a game room and mini golf and two small pools. All are well maintained.

Our room was very clean. It was exactly as pictured on the website. The linens were of high quality and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was small, and we prefer a hand-held shower head, but we made do. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the 5th floor amenities: a small put-put golf, large chess board, shuffleboard, ping-pong table, cornhole toss, swimming pool, and hot tub. The hot breakfast was convenient.

Room was clean, air conditioner was very loud. The room was on the smaller side, but it seems to be an older building. The hot tub was not working so the water was as cool as the pool. The outside amenities, (bags, ping pong etc) was a nice way to spend some down time. Overall the facility was nice, the parking garage has a steep incline when entering or decline when leaving, but plenty of parking. Within walking distance to many stores. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would I stay there again, most definitely.

I really didn't appreciate going up 3 floors from where I was staying to get ice because machines weren’t working, hot tube was not even hot, we also saw a bed bug by our beds and not being told that “public parking” is actually outside street parking where you have to go circles looking for a spot. Other then that I did enjoy the complementary breakfast.

Gym has a small dumbbell rack with 2 adjustable benches. lots of treadmills/row machines/mats - 1 cable machine but only handle style attachments, would benefit from some bars/ropes. Breakfast variety was great, LOTS of food, nice that you can take food back to your room as well. Staff was great, very helpful. Parking is a nightmare after 6-8pm if you have a car rental. Easy to find spots any time before that.

Our room could’ve had better cleaning done. We were there for vacation so our small room was ok for sleeping only. Bath tub floor was slippery too! One housekeeper was very friendly every time. Another housekeeper from the weekend wasn’t friendly at all! Location of property was great tho! Walking distance for a lot of places from the hotel. Oh! The hotel parking lot was another thing. So crammed. Height restrictions. Compact cars park in oversized vehicles spaces! 😡

We love holiday inn’s!! This one was no different!! Great location, wonderful staff, helpful, beautiful outdoor seating. This will be the place that we will stay when we return. The pool is a little small but was never uncomfortable. The staff was great helpful with getting around. Gave good recommendations and very friendly. Breakfast was good, some type of egg everyday, they rotated bacon,portageese sausage, turkey sausage and chicken sausage for protein, they had veggies ,oatmeal ,cereal, toast every day. Great open seating in the lobby.Good water pressure and hot water. Comfortable beds. Not a long walk to the beach. We walked everywhere. Will stay there again and recommend to everyone I know.
