NO ONE AT FRONT DESK WHEN I TRIED TO CHECK IN. I HAD TO SHOUT TO GET SOMEONE, EVEN THOUGH THE BARTENDER (?) SAW ME COME IN. THE SHOWER DOOR WAS SOILED OVER MOST OF THE SURFACE WITH SOME SORT OF OILY SUBSTANCE.

Front staff was very hospitable. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were disappointed to discover that there was only a mini fridge but no microwave. Weve stayed here twice in the last month. Perfect place, quiet and Kick back Jacks was walking distance and was so fun!

Bathroom floor was sticky and usual hairs in the bathroom. Door to the room looked like it had been breached in a raid and was hard for my girlfriend to open. No bugs so that’s great. The ac would reach meat hanging temperature that’s a home run. The property is well maintained and they have done some upgrades. They only clean the rooms every other day so go ahead and get some towels at the front desk when you go by.

No hot water. 2 rooms for 2 nights for over $600.00. \

Check in was good. Our request of two king rooms with one handicap accessible was granted. That was the only good thing. Saturday morning no hot water. We took cold showers. Notified the front desk. She said they had to reset the water heater. Second morning. No hot water. Front desk said the same thing when I called. We had to go someplace else to shower. Wasn't going to shower in cold water again. I called and they said I was told when we booked that they were remodeling and that we agreed to it. That we booked through Expedia and to call them to complain. I knew they were remodeling, but when I called the hotel to confirm, I mentioned the remodeling, and they said it wouldn't be an issue.

When we went to the dining area on our first morning, another guest told us they hoped we weren't in any hurry, that she had been waiting for 45 minutes. We just left.

We chose a Marriott property, because we didn't know the area, and figured we couldn't go wrong with them. We will know better next time.

It was Ok. They randomly charged us $24 for what the front desk ended up calling “incendentials” that felt sneaky and underhanded. Also no vending machines if you want a water or something be prepared to pay $5 for each. Also the pool wasn’t open and no hot tub.

I liked the property in general. It was pretty, clean, and nicely appointed. This property was located in Johnson City, Tennessee.

I disliked the standard bathroom. It was furnished with a short toilet that was very unusable for me.. The toilet was about 17 inches off the floor, In todays typical environment you at least get a \"standard toilet \"-- or better than that - a \"comfort height\" toilet. Please note that I suffered a Stroke about 20 years ago and lost a good portion of the use of my right side. I was originally scheduled into a handicapped room. But I elected to be moved to a \"standard room\" because I determined that I didn't need other than \"standard toilet\" which I assumed would be in a standard room.

The toilet paper was also mounted on the right side of the toilet but not accessible to me because it was mounted too far back for my left handed use..

Also note that the King bed was difficult because the side I usually sleep on was about 16 to 18 inches from the wall. This made it difficult to get \"in\" and \"out\" of. Given the configuration of the room there was not a different or better solution to this problem.

Having been employed at a Company that owned 8 motels when I started, and 0 when I retired in 2017, I was involved in several discussions over many years about handicapped issues, although I was the VP- Finance and Administration, So I am still aware of cost issues, and motel management issues..

Mess up of type of room.

The person on staff was a little dismissive about what our reservation was when we told him we had reserved 2 double beds. I know if it wasn’t possible they would have emailed us or not let us go through with the booking. I’m normally go with the flow kinda gal, but I knew we would be getting in and would have 2 sleepy kids, which is what I had. I wanted to just get them in the bed as soon as we got there. But we had a fold out couch and had to locate sheets and call them front desk for pillows that were supposed to be in a drawer in the room. Just kinda disappointing, but he later admitted I did have two queens booked but they couldn’t accommodate me.

I was told at check-in there was no maid service. Price of room was raised considerably due to a local race yet service cancelled. I sat my wet towels outside my room, made my bed and dumped my trash. I asked front desk to give me towels, replace my coffee and she said she would but did not. I checked out 24 hours early. Front desk refused to check me out, it took me an hour to reach someone at Hotels.com. Long story short, hotel refused to check me out, Hotels.com did nothing. Lesson learned, I will never use Hotels.com nor will I ever stay at a Marriott. No maid service should be posted on the website so customers have a choice, it should not be communicated at check in.

Very nice lobby/bistro area.

Check in was very easy. The room was clean and the stay was quiet. We did not take advantage of the pool or lobby area. But both were very clean and would have been fun if not for covid 19. We stayed in our room.
