Fantastic experience!!! We planned this as a family trip with myself and my son to be able to enjoy Christmas together with my mother. We were able to get adjoining rooms which made the whole trip even possible, as both my mother and son require my help and I was able to move between rooms with ease. My son and I enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, although they both were a bit neglected (just a little dirty) probably due to short staffing since there weren’t many guests staying at the time. I think I only saw one woman doing everything-breakfast area, room cleaning, etc. But it was a wonderful visit and we were very pleased with the accommodations: large refrigerator, microwave, large tv, spacious. Ruby Tuesday is right next door, other restaurants close by, and Walmart across the street. Directly off the highway. Area is safe. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. My only asks would be for slide-out shelves under the bathroom counter, towel racks or more hooks, a retractable clothesline in the shower (for wet bathing suits) and Keurig coffee machines.

I feel that some things were missing, like pancakes/waffles, due to the small amount of people staying over through Christmas. And it would be a better experience to have towel racks or hooks in the bathroom. The two small hooks on the back of the bathroom door just aren’t enough. All in all, very comfortable stay.

(1 star) However a real bummer after checking in we were told the hot tub was out of order. The reason why we booked this hotel was for the hot tub. We wanted to have a break from traveling in our RV and enjoy the hot tub for the night.
(5 stars) Room was spacious, with a decent sized refrigerator and a microwave.
(1 stars) However there were some stains in one of the bed spreads.
(1 star) My husband wasn't able to sleep because the single unit heater kept turning on and off all night long.
(5 stars) Breakfast was expected, the usual continental breakfast with hot and cold choices.
(5 stars) Kudo to the kitchen staff lady who was able to accommodate my request for the sausages on a separate dish for my son who has multiple food allergies.

I am fortunate that wingate has an online check-in, which I would give 50 stars, because the clerk at the front desk was AWFUL. I paid for my room online through Expedia day before. My 2 kids and I got to the hotel around 9:30. At check in the clerk asked for a physical card to run for incidentals. I typically don't carry cards anymore bc tap to pay is virtually everywhere...except certain hotel front desks apparently...so I couldn't use Google pay. I happened to have my debit card on me, but the strip/chip has gone wonky and I need to order a new one. The clerk said he couldn't run it through his machine and needed a different card. I asked if he could type in the card number, he said he could not. I asked to put my card in online for the incidentals - he said that wasn't possible. He said very unapologetically and coldly that he couldn't check me in. I explained I had already paid for the room and showed him my receipt and he said I would need to call Expedia to cancel it. I explained I can't cancel the same night, it's nonrefundable, the reservation said nothing about needing a physical card for check in, and I'm in the middle of nowhere with 2 small kids. He seriously could not have cared less. NO bit of concern. I asked if he could please help me bc I already paid, my kids are tired, there won't be incidentals - off chance then we'll figure it out. He stared at me with disdain and ugliness. Rude is understatement. Wyndham, get tap to pay and teach clerks not to be aholes

Clean room. Super fast checking in and out. Basically showed up, got keys, stayed, woke up, enjoyed continental breakfast, turned in keys, done. Only some annoying issues: sign indicated water heating was installed in reverse was placed high and out of sight. Didn't see if until I reached up to move the shower curtain. Wi-Fi information wasn't mentioned by staff upon checked in, and didn't see any clear sign of it in the room. Towels were clean but had that cheap detergent smell, not obvious but noticeable. Have exercise, pool, hot water tub! Everything was nice and clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good even though it was very basics. Wish they have OJ instead of Cranberry juice. Good coffee (available 24/7).

The hotel was conveniently located and overall clean. It's an older property and looks a little \"tired.\" I checked in late and was (not) greeted by an unenthusiastic young adult. The floors and elevator carpet were dirty. My room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable, very soft. Note...i like a soft bed. If you have a bad back and need a firm bed, this isn't for you. The maid didn't bother to clean out the fridge and I was shocked to find leftovers in it. The fitness center had a couple old cardio machines and a few random sized dumbbells. I didn't eat breakfast but there seemed to be several continental options. Nothing special.

The shower diverter was really loose and messed up - my husband actually repaired it. Mold is visible in the bathroom. The mattress was super soft and not very comfortable. I will note that the towels are nice.

Great stay with very few exceptions

Only a couple of things kept my review from being excellent in all regards. 1) The elevator rug was filthy for our entire 2 night stay and 2) our bathroom looked a bit shabby in that the wallpaper was peeling, mold was all around the tub, and the front of the vanity looked a bit \"beat up\". On a positive note the desk manager for our check-in was most accommodating. Our initial room assignment put us into a room that smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the desk manager immediately put us in another room.

Not quite what it could have been

This was a fine hotel in so many ways, but I can't say it was \"amazing\". Our room smelled like old cigarette smoke (which is funny because there's a $250 fine if you smoke apparently).
The pool being inside was great, but it seemed like the chlorine was too strong - our eyes watered from the chemical smell.
Breakfast was probably the best part of the stay. The cook did a really good job with that. Lots of options and delicious breakfast sausage.
The air conditioning in the hallway was dripping condensation and it just seemed like there were a lot of little things that needed fixed. It was fine for a quick overnight, but I wouldn't want to have a longer stay than that.

A must stay :)

This hotel became home after a long motorcycle ride with some friends that day. The lobby was very nice, clean and welcoming. The pool was a perfect addition to the deal and the room was amazing. Everything was clean, comfortable and convenient.
