We enjoyed the location of the hotel. Very clean and the breakfast was great.
Angelika
Somewhat disappointed. Neither the room nor the breakfast were impressive.
Edward
My stay was extremely good, although very few of the staff spoke English I found the room to be clean and the breakfast lacked a little, overall my stay was nice.
Amanda
Black mold in the bathroom

While our stay was pleasant overall, the bathroom in our room requires some attention. The door is quite difficult to shut and requires a firm push to close completely. Additionally, there are also noticeable gaps in the bathtub tiling that need repair, which doesn't quite match the quality you would expect from a 3-star property.

Check in was quick and easy. Hotel lobby was well presented and inviting. I didn’t go in the pool area, however, it was clean and looked very nice.
Hotel room was clean and ample space. Bed was very comfy and pillows were enough to keep my head and neck satisfied.
Only downfall was the tv didn’t have an option to access apps- I would have liked to log in to my Hulu. Cable itself was okay- screen/shows were not clear - as in lines throughout but it didn’t have to do with the tv just the service itself. We frequently visit the area and this will be our go to when we stay overnight.
Price was affordable and reasonable.

Room was clean, comfortable bed, crib was provided on request. Pool provided some great play time for kids. Breakfast could have been stepped up, eggs weren't done and cool, sausage also cool.
Annette
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not good.
Parking was free so that's a big plus now a days.

Great room. Clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Staff was friendly.

Literally next door to VMI and Washington & Lee. We had a baseball tournament. 10 minute drive to anything. Place was great! Didn't get to try the breakfast but it looked solid. Coffee was good and the coffee bar was on when we checked in at 4 pm. Beds were good. Room was clean. Rooms were large. Would be easy to work in the room on your laptop. Microwave refrigerator and coffee pot. Large bathroom. Quiet. Ice machines worked (sorry to anyone I disturbed filling up ice buckets at 8 am). Elevators worked. Large lobby. Indoor pool. Fitness center. Only drawback was no bar at night.
David
Id stay there again
Joseph
Wonderful pool and hot tub! Beds were super comfortable and room was huge! Loved this hotel and will stay again when traveling through the area.
Sue
Clean room, great staff, will stay there again. Room was a nice size.
Robert
Clean room. Breakfast need more choices
Jahir
Not a bad place for a quick over night stay. But the rooms were a little dusty and the air conditioner wasn't cooling the room well. The breakfast was not the best and better breakfast at other hotels.
Ashley
The hotel at one point was probably amazing- but now has an early 2000’s feel. The room and main lobby were very clean. The pool and hot tub area need to not only be cleaned, but updated. The handles are coming out of the cement and super wiggly. The amount of hair clumps that were in the pool was nasty, and the hot tub has horrible water rings and SAND or broken concrete in the bottom? Water temps and levels also need to be monitored.
Breakfast was decent for a continental and was appreciated with how much travel we’ve been doing.

The bathroom was clean but needs updating. The toilet fan needs to be replaced. It almost doesn't start and when it does start it is very loud. The air conditioning controls did not work. I could not control the temperature or fan speed. I don't know if the control was broken or controlled by the Hotel. Regardless, I was hot all night and slept terribly.
Kathryn
Enjoyed breakfast. Room was clean, comfortable, decent lighting, and convenient places to charge electronics.
Cynthia
Beautiful views, hot tub is subpar along with the breakfast-powered eggs?
Insuk
It was really nice
Lynn
Loved the clean spacious rooms however, the queen beds don't seem to be queen-sized (and we have one at home so I know).
It was great to have the option of an indoor pool and a hot tub, though the jet streams were a little weak. Nevertheless, still a good option to have.
Appreciate the free hot breakfast included and had some good options as well.
Overall, it was a nice hotel with a beautiful lobby and it wasn't too noisy even though it was close to the highway.

Jessica
The air conditioner did not freaking work the whole time, then the people working front desk didn’t understand English
Leigh
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the fitness center had equipment that was not working. There was only one cable machine with multiple sections, all of which were broken. There were only a few dumbbells.
Michelle
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the room was questionable. Several areas of mildew on the bathroom walls and hair on the floor upon checkin. I definitely think there could be better housekeeping and maintenance.
Kristina
The hotel is close to downtown Lexington.
The hotel walls are very thin, you can hear everything from the hall to the adjacent rooms. The room was a good size and we had the Mountain View’s from the window. Beds were comfy.
Breakfast didn’t have many options.
The reception staff was very nice.

Large bugs in my room. Told by staff they were throughout the hotel. Poor TV reception. Slow internet. Items on breakfast bar were cold. I had a sausage that was still frozen.
Douglas
The room was not clean. The coffee pot had a layer of slime in the inside. I complained to the front desk agent and it still did not get fixed.
The breakfast was out of food when i came down at 7:15 am. Nobody was around to see if more was being prepared.
I wrote the hotel manager with pictures of the issues and did not even get the courtesy of a response. I have stayed several times at this property and this was by far the worst experience.

When we checked into our room, the bathroom was moldy and had black mold on the ceiling and in the tile as well as throughout the room. The room had a damp andmoist smell. We decided to check out early the next morning after breakfast and found boiled sausage links and a small bowl of scrambled eggs was all that was left by 8:30 AM. The room had trash underneath the table when we arrived, and the floors were dirty. Just overall not what I expected from such a high end hotel. The 9/10 reviews could not be more far off, unfortunately.
Jessica
the bed was clean but the bathroom was nasty had hair and also wasn’t clean the ceiling was not good
Daisha
Everything was nice, the staff was very nice and helpful. The cleaning staff should look at all areas of the rooms after cleaning each room. The hot tub jets should have been on as well. The breakfast needs an update
emma
rooms were alright. pool wasn’t clean at all

We stay here every year on our way south.
Clean, friendly and easy access off the highway.
Lots of places to eat near by. Enjoyable breakfast.

The bed sheets were dirty. The carpets throughout need shampooing. Need more updating and a deep cleaning.

Big clean room

Breakfast menu was very limited. Ate there once, didn't bother rest of stay.
With the exception of only 1 (which was rude), staff was friendly & willing to help.
The main downfall & disappointment with the stay was the lack of working hot tub. Was NOT got. Only couple of jets worked and those were not at full blast.

Super helpful staff! Clean comfortable rooms! Breakfast could use improvement.
Timothy
The room was clean and beds comfortable. Front staff was great. The pool was gross and not heated like it advertises. Smelled like urine. The hottub was cold and the breakfast wasnt great.
Michelle
Reasonable price, rooms were pretty quiet. Beds were comfortable. Only issue was the TV picture wasnt very clear.
Inglis
Breakfast was a little disappointing , a little stale and not enough fruit . Coffee fine .
Julie
I've stayed at this property in the past, and the service is excellent. Pam at the front desk is wonderful to work with.
Richard
Very comfortable room.
Greg
Room had cobwebs and the bathroom had black mold on ceiling over tub/shower. Bed was comfortable and clean. Not a terrible experience, staff was attentive location was convenient. Would have changed rooms if there for multiple nights.
Jessica
We reserved two rooms. One room had dried pee around the base of the toilet. The other room had dried toothpaste in the sink and the upholstered chair had visible stains.
Phillip
Nice hotel especially for its age. Good continental breakfast and restaurants within walking distance
Sue
Room was clean and I liked having 2 places to sit in room. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast. It was right off 81 which was convenient and plenty of places to eat.
Blanca
The room was clean, great service!

Very nice girl at check-in was very patient and took the time to check and see if I could get an upgrade for being a Diamond member.

The mattress was very worn. It had large \"body dents\". Aside from the that, the staff was courteous and polite and everything was clean.

Good hotel for the veey reasonable price, plenty of free parking, nice front desk staff, many restaurants around, safe area, spacious, quiet, clean room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, no hot water problem, heater worked well, nice view from room, good breakfast included, great location, easy access from highway. Highly recommend.
Bonnie
Fantastic experience!!! We planned this as a family trip with myself and my son to be able to enjoy Christmas together with my mother. We were able to get adjoining rooms which made the whole trip even possible, as both my mother and son require my help and I was able to move between rooms with ease. My son and I enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, although they both were a bit neglected (just a little dirty) probably due to short staffing since there weren’t many guests staying at the time. I think I only saw one woman doing everything-breakfast area, room cleaning, etc. But it was a wonderful visit and we were very pleased with the accommodations: large refrigerator, microwave, large tv, spacious. Ruby Tuesday is right next door, other restaurants close by, and Walmart across the street. Directly off the highway. Area is safe. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. My only asks would be for slide-out shelves under the bathroom counter, towel racks or more hooks, a retractable clothesline in the shower (for wet bathing suits) and Keurig coffee machines.
Jean
Room was spacious and clean. Refrigerator was a good size and microwave was handy. Breakfast was adequate. I feel that some things were missing, like pancakes/waffles, due to the small amount of people staying over through Christmas. And it would be a better experience to have towel racks or hooks in the bathroom. The two small hooks on the back of the bathroom door just aren’t enough. All in all, very comfortable stay.

(5 stars) Check in was pleasant and quick.
(1 star) However a real bummer after checking in we were told the hot tub was out of order. The reason why we booked this hotel was for the hot tub. We wanted to have a break from traveling in our RV and enjoy the hot tub for the night.
(5 stars) Room was spacious, with a decent sized refrigerator and a microwave.
(1 stars) However there were some stains in one of the bed spreads.
(1 star) My husband wasn't able to sleep because the single unit heater kept turning on and off all night long.
(5 stars) Breakfast was expected, the usual continental breakfast with hot and cold choices.
(5 stars) Kudo to the kitchen staff lady who was able to accommodate my request for the sausages on a separate dish for my son who has multiple food allergies.

Nice place. Would have been 5-star if the WiFi had been working.

Happy with our one night stay. Breakfast was adequate for a free option. Could use additional options. Room was clean but showing some wear and tear. Beds were very comfortable, better than many hotels. Did not have a chance this trip to use pool/spa but will revisit and use them.

Front desk lady was amazing we unfortunately didn’t get her name but we did give her a sweet little gift for her kindness

I am fortunate that wingate has an online check-in, which I would give 50 stars, because the clerk at the front desk was AWFUL. I paid for my room online through Expedia day before. My 2 kids and I got to the hotel around 9:30. At check in the clerk asked for a physical card to run for incidentals. I typically don't carry cards anymore bc tap to pay is virtually everywhere...except certain hotel front desks apparently...so I couldn't use Google pay. I happened to have my debit card on me, but the strip/chip has gone wonky and I need to order a new one. The clerk said he couldn't run it through his machine and needed a different card. I asked if he could type in the card number, he said he could not. I asked to put my card in online for the incidentals - he said that wasn't possible. He said very unapologetically and coldly that he couldn't check me in. I explained I had already paid for the room and showed him my receipt and he said I would need to call Expedia to cancel it. I explained I can't cancel the same night, it's nonrefundable, the reservation said nothing about needing a physical card for check in, and I'm in the middle of nowhere with 2 small kids. He seriously could not have cared less. NO bit of concern. I asked if he could please help me bc I already paid, my kids are tired, there won't be incidentals - off chance then we'll figure it out. He stared at me with disdain and ugliness. Rude is understatement. Wyndham, get tap to pay and teach clerks not to be aholes

The pool was nice and the breakfast was pleasant. The vending machines unfortunately were out of water in all machines.
Gary
Everyone was friendly and the room was clean
Emily
The breakfast was lacking. The room was not clean. The hvac unit had so much dust on it and the edges of the room were also very visibly dirty including the walls near the floor. The tiling in the bathroom was in need of repair.
Ester
I have stayed before but the quality of breakfast was below expectations, and it was a full hotel and limited tables in breakfast area. I found trash from previous visitors in room. For the money , and previous great experience, I was disappointed
Tiffanie
Clean room, helpful staff, breakfast included, indoor pool and shopping/food nearby. Great value for the price. Will definitely stay again. They don’t have the waffle machine anymore, but they did have packaged mini waffles that my kids enjoyed. Staff goes the extra mile to help with services and recommendations.
Christy

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff members were courteous and friendly. The breakfast was good.
Cynthia
Breakfast was very limited. Lukewarm eggs and turkey sausage. No pastries or muffins. No fruit at all. The hot tub wasn't working right, only half the jets came on. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. We chose this hotel specifically for the hot tub and breakfast so needless to say we were highly disappointed.
