Great place to stay. Highly recommend
Aaron
Breakfast wasn't quite up to part with other HIE's I have stayed at and in general it could be a bit cleaner.
Mark
Our stay was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and professional
Gina
Fresh hor breakfast. clean room
Ron
Our stay at Lexington, VA Holiday Inn Express was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and immaculately clean, the outdoor patio was very nice and inviting. The breakfast offered several options and was all fresh and tasty. The only recommendation I have is to put up a sign off the main road as the entrance is set back. Other than that, it was an exceptional experience.
Jesse
The breakfast was decent. They did serve alternative breakfast options like egg white omelette and turkey sausages/patties. Healthier yogurts. The pancake machine was convenient.
The exterior of the property was clean, parking was plentiful, and there was a gas station within walking distance. Staff were polite and professional.
I would not recommend the neighboring Applebee’s. The restaurant appeared poorly maintained, with sticky floors and tables, vegetables that did not seem fresh, and a lukewarm entrée.
Unfortunately, the room itself was very disappointing. There was trash left inside a kitchen cabinet from a previous guest, the room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the bathroom smelled of urine. The bathroom tile grout was dark and dirty, the shower curtain had stains and an odor, and the bathtub drained very slowly. The shower curtain rod appeared improperly installed, causing water to spray onto the bathroom floor, and the shower head was partially detached from the wall.
The kitchenette consisted only of a microwave, full-size refrigerator, and single-cup Keurig. Both beds were uneven and uncomfortable, the bathroom faucet was extremely stiff and difficult to operate, and both dining chairs had ripped upholstery.
Overall, the room appeared poorly maintained and in need of deep cleaning and repairs. While the exterior and staff were fine, the condition of the room made for an unpleasant stay.
The exterior of the property was clean, parking was plentiful, and there was a gas station within walking distance. Staff were polite and professional.

Room was clean, no issues.

Nice, clean hotel. Our room had some damage to the wallpaper. Breakfast was decent but lacking biscuits and gravy. No sugar free syrup for diabetics. Check out was easy.
William
The room this week and last week were both clean. Last week the AC was not working in the room and it got quite warm. This week everything was perfect and the front desk staff told me that all of the rooms AC have been reviewed and are now working properly.
Arlene
The hotel was clean and updated. The room itself was also very clean. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked and had many options. The parking area was clean and safe. We had a room that faced the back, and it was very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.

My AC broke in the middle of the night. I reported it three different times the next morning and was assured each time that it would be fixed. After being out all day, I came back late and it was still broken, the room was around 80° and very humid. Completely unacceptable, especially after multiple follow-ups.
I immediately called the front desk again around 11 PM. My son and I were exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. I was told someone would come right up, but after 30 minutes no one had arrived. I went down to the lobby myself, and only then was I told again that someone would come up. After another 15 minutes, someone finally showed up, unplugged the unit and plugged it back in, and it seemed to start working.
Unfortunately, it stopped working again in the middle of the night. At that point, I didn’t even bother calling again.
Very frustrating experience and a clear lack of follow through.

The fresh coffee on demand 24/7, hearty breakfast, clean room, easy parking and great location all contributed to a lovely weekend stay. Kudos to the staff for a seamless experience.

Great!

Did not like the room. Seemed dated, substandard, fridge was not cooling properly. Room was not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express.
Xiaotang
Room is very clean and Staffs are friendly.
Colin
We've been traveling for the past week and have stayed at
Courtney
Our room had a ton of ants, I had to buy ant traps since it was the weekend I was told no one could help me. Shower curtain did not stay closed so the bathroom would’ve flooded after showers - could definitely use some TLC overall.
Stanley
Ac unit noisy
mary ann
The hotel looks very dated and worn. The lobby is especially unattractive and the breakfast area as well. The breakfast selection was rather poor , not appealing . The workout facilities are very limited. The room itself was clean and quiet and the location is close to downtown Lexington and a little drive from 81. Front desk staff was nice.
Kimberly
The room was okay. Very basic. Breakfast was sub par. They had two bowls for fruit. One for apples and one for oranges. There was one lonely shriveled up orange in the bowl and about six shriveled up apples in the apple bowl. Waffle maker was broken. Staff seemed very pleasant.
Nicole
Nice accommodations. Conveniently located
Teresa
Everything was good but the parking lot was icy. Could have used more salt/sand.

Parents in room above us did not attend to there children which was full of jumping and rolling a chair or something all day and in evening. It didn’t stop. Complained to front desk several times but no change. Wouldn’t recommend it again go to the Hilton.
Sankar
Clean room and nice staff
Aaron
Great room. Comfortable pillows! Breakfast was a little limited because few people in the hotel before the holidays.
Nijah
Everything was top notch from the beginning to end. The exterior of the building is well kept, the grounds are well groomed and attractive. The lobby, although small was very neat and appealing. The room was impeccable. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The staff were very polite. The hotel is pet friendly but it is so clean you can't tell that animals are allowed. Breakfast had a wide variety of food that was well-presented and the length of breakfast serving was great for those who aren't early risers. We had to park a 40 foot trailer and there was ample parking for large vehicles. We were very pleased and if we are in the area we will stay there again!
Donald
Walls are so thin, could hear and get awakened each time doors closed, or from conversations in the hallways or room next door. The sound of the guy snoring in the room next to ours kept waking us up all night long.
Elevator was out upon checkout, forcing us 2 senior citizens, to carry all of our luggage down 4 flights of stairs

We had a great stay. Everything was clean. Breakfast was average. We were awakened by some man on our floor 4th. After midnight cussung, maybe on his phone after he went in his room. We did not hear anymore.

Great stay!
The hotel was very clean, quiet, and the desk staff was very nice and helpful. It’s also nice to stay in a hotel that is pet friendly as we travel with our dog.
Kristi

Kimberly

Douglas

Susan
Friendly staff, very open, modern and clean
Sara D
Room was bare. Few amenities for the cost. Breakfast sparse and cheaply done. Fleas in bedroom!
Art
Excellent stay, comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Carsten
great clean hotel
Jessica
I wasnt as pleased with this hotel as anticipated. Bad odor that smelled like urine in our room, ac loud rattling noise, snack machines had expired snacks. Not stay at another holiday inn.
Amanda
Room smelled like a locker room
William
Good variety of breakfast items. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Halls were clean. The road to enter the property was reduced to half a lane because of construction. The work was temporary but no signage indicating Holiday Inn Express was at the end of the lane.
VENKATA
Just okay
Beds are not comfortable at all, price is too high.
Brent
The only issue is the fact that Expedia indicated the pet fee would be $25. The hotel actually charges $40 + tax.
Paula
Breakfast was very good and staff member courteous and helpful
Stephen
Nice place outside of Lexington but close to the downtown area. Nice hotel and cute, interesting place to visit.
Douglas
Rey nice stay
William
The Expedia website says the pet fee is $25.00. The Hotel charged me $40.00. They said they updated all their 3rd party sites to this change. This was not right and we had no choice.

Staff was lovely & accommodating. We arrived late at like 2 am since we were traveling and the staff gave us late check out.
Zachary
This is a clean hotel set back from a slow highway so it is not noisy from outside. I noticed several Tesla chargers in the back. About 2 minutes off of I-81. Many gas station and a few chain restaurants are nearby. 5 minutes to VMI, another 2 minutes to Washington and Lee University and central Lexington. Check in was about 2 minutes. My primary complaint is the plumbing noise that comes from the abutting room, which is about as loud a shower from one’s own room in an average hotel. There are very good automatic coffee machines. The breakfast area is a bit small so becomes congested easily. We stayed two nights and most food items were already depleted at about 9:20 AM Sunday morning.

Normally I have GREAT stays at the Holiday Inn, but this stay wasn't as great. The bathroom seemed half cleaned.
When I pulled my covers back on the bed, there was crumbs and hair all over the pillows and sheets. I put on both of my jackets and turned the pillows cases inside out; and slept on top of the sheets, it was too late to make a big deal out of it at the time, and I'm a traveler so we don't get as much sleep.
The Staff is always amazing. I'll be staying there again in the future, but please make sure to inspect the beds and bathrooms please.

The housekeeping was not efficient, even after mentioning to staff. The front desk staff were pleasant and loved the view from our room. Okay for a night or two.

Family Getaway
The lobby and room were very nice with ample room everywhere. The man who was responsible for the breakfast was very nice and accommodating. Overall a good experience.
Demi
Very clean would stay here again
Carrie
We had a very nice stay.

The accessible room was probably not a good choice for us. It seems more for people in a wheelchair. The staff was helpful.
Jacqueline

Jack
Very nice and professional.
Ann
The beds and pillows were comfortable, the room and bathroom were very clean and the staff was very pleasant. Thank you!

Susan
Very clean from reception to rooms.
Dawn
Would like to see better dining opportunities.

Great place to stay!
Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the large suite. Everything was VERY clean, except for one black mark on the wall near the kitchen table’s seating area. Also the fridge was noisy, but nice and large. Overall, l was quite pleased with the room abd wished we were staying longer than one night!
Dominique
You never know what you’re going to get when you’re booking a hotel as you’re passing through on a long trip. I’m so glad I chose this place. Unlike a lot of other hotels, this was so clean! The room was really nice too. I could sleep in my comfy bed knowing I was in a safe and clean place.
John
