Thank you The Anza Hotel. I was traveling with family, (3 adults, 2 kids and a chihuahua). You made our stay completely stress-free. From the start the staff accommodated us in connecting rooms so we could all be close together. Staff and property are dog friendly. Parking is great. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel had everything we needed. There’s breakfast in the lobby in the mornings and many food options walking distance. Pool area is great. Thank you so much!

To start I want to say the staff were not the problem, they did everything they could and were very kind.

If I could advise you to stay anywhere on your lovely trip to LA, please stay far away from this hotel. I accidentally booked this thinking it was the Cambria hotel. First off, the amenities that we paid for were not fully available, the pool was closed and the air conditioning was not working.

When we checked in, there was a guest complaining the rooms were too hot. We went up to ours and they were indeed way too hot. I tried the air conditioning and nothing worked. We had their maintenance folk come “turn on our AC” and still no AC. Finally at 1 in the morning, they brought us a fan to our room because it was far too hot to sleep. We notified the front desk and they basically said they did all they could.
The next night the AC sort of kicked on, but started leaking through the vent so I had to put our garbage can out to catch all the water leaking from the ceiling. No AC for us from then on.
Our last night there, we received a paper under the door about fire alarm testing the following day. The time said anywhere from 8am - 5pm is when they will conduct it, lol the fire alarm tests started what seemed before 8, probably around 7:50 and a loud alarm was sounding every 5 minutes. My husband and I were done with this hotel so we started packing up to check out as soon as possible. On our way down, the halls were pitch black, loud alarm sounding. Perfect ending.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the noise level was loud, the customers that were in the hotel were very loud and obnoxious till all hours of the morning, which made it difficult to sleep. The walls are thin and the door close very loudly. My comforter had make-up on it from another guest, therefore was not cleaned...I think if they could get better cliental the stay would have been better.

Ibstayed here before and had trouble with the AC in the room! So when i checked in i specifically mentioned to give me a room without that issue . Sure enough went to the room and it was 87 degrees and the AC not working. Long story short i had a terrible encounter woth front demanding a room change cause i had to leave and couldnt wait for maintenance. The rooma are nice bit tgis was a stress i didnt need:( not going back here again

The hotel is great in every respect although I did have a problem . The hotel was repairing a room right next to me and the drilling and banging woke me up two days in a row.
I was from the East Coast so I was trying to take a nap to catch up on the time difference.
I did complain to the manager and when I got my bill, I realized she gave me credit for half of one night. I think I should have gotten one whole night.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone in spite of what happened.

I felt the hotel was in pretty rough shape in terms of it needed a facelift from wear and tear. For this reason, it felt dirty. Similarly, my room felt not totally clean - and there were mystery hairs of varying sizes on the pillows and sheets stuck to the fabric. This hotel really needs to be renovated if it wants to consider itself luxury.

The room and hotel are loud, not well insulated. Hallways have wood floors, everything echoes. The cleaning ladies yell down the hallways every day, very loud (and I was there on a non-busy week). Hotels.com did not inform on website that pool has been closed for a long period of time. Construction going on when I checked in - front desk staff and Hotels.com did not even make guests aware. Had to move rooms after 1 night as there was a raised forklift outside my window looking in with a worker and beeping all day. This hotel is NOT good if you are staying in town for work, need to get any work done in your room, or need to get any sleep. Everything in the rooom needs to be maintenanced - including caulking the showers - there is old gross looking caulk in the showers. The hotel is poorly laid out, when I asked for a quiet room - they said all their rooms on the end of halls are next to the cleaning supply closets - so there are no quiet rooms. I am not using hotels.com again because they put no message to guests that the hotel is under construction and the pool has been closed for a long time.

Unresponsive staff and a cold room \"We had a disappointing stay here. The HVAC system was completely ineffective; despite setting the thermostat to quite high the room never rose above 66-67°F all night. Additionally, our request for room service/cleaning was ignored entirely. When I mentioned the lack of service to the front desk agent at checkout, he offered a dismissive 'sorry about that' and sent us on our way. The complete lack of care from the staff was the most frustrating part.

The staff was amazing my only issues were the parking. Paid 15 bucks and the parking lot was completely full. I was told by their security to park in the red fire zone... Another issue was I asked for extra blankets and towels that never came. The hotel is by the freeway so if you aren't a deep sleeper. Probably go somewhere else. The showers were odd as well

As soon as I got in the room, the heater was sauna like hot. It took almost an hour for an AC tech to arrive.

After it was worked on, the tech reassured me that it was fixed and that I should wait 15 minutes for the temperature to drop. It never did drop but it was not as hot as it was and the room remained warm my entire stay.

The front desk female clerk who I spoke with was nice enough to comp my parking but It was uncomfortable in the beginning.

Since I called early on just right after check-in, I was hoping they could’ve offered me another room with a working AC unit to avoid the hassle of waiting for a tech to arrive to my room.
