What a pleasant surprise. We picked this hotel late for a stay before surgery. What a nice, clean place. We were only there for a short sleep, but they have done a nice upgrade to an older hotel.

This was the worst, room was right next to a gas station so every refill, truck and jet wash will wake you (no real sound proofing), location isnt convenient and definitely overpriced given travel time, then the hotel messed up the booking and tried throwing me out, even post realising the issue continued to harass me and the over charge me. There are no redeeming qualities, do not stay here.

Tarzana Inn is a hidden gem. I don’t have one complaint about this spot. I’ve been to them all (wife kicks me out a lot) and for the price you pay, you get more than your dollars worth. Beautiful showers, a pool, excellent maid staff, top notch air conditioning, quality bedding and more. They take the place serious and it’s not one of those valley motels with tweakers coming and going, whilst scaring your kids. Tarzana Inn will always be my goto getaway.

I would have given this place 5/5 but for the fact that I had booked two rooms. A king bedroom and two queen bed (paid a little bit more for it), when we arrived they told us we had two rooms but both were king bedrooms. We were tired did not make a fuss but asked the why, they said they were booked but tomorrow after 11 am, we may get to our original room with two queen beds. I called no one answered several times and called again around 4pm and no one answered. We were at event that ended at 10pm. We came to the hotel to get the keys for the second room, guess what, the king bedroom that we were told we had was given to someone else. Needless to say, we were so exhausted and after I mentioned that what he did was not right, we were given different room on the first floor and still a king bedroom and not 2 queen bedrooms. I was upset because I would have understood if they corrected the original mistake but no. We were very tired to deal with it. I did mention that we shouldn't be charged for the two queens when we did not get the room that we had reserved long time ago. Oh, another thing to be aware of, if you put that Do Not Disturb sign, they do ignore it and still come in the room. The funny thing the desk clerk told us to call if we needed room service, otherwise they would not. Just weird. Also, beware of homeless crazy people should you decide to walk to places nearby, we had someone follows for four blocks. It was terrifying. Drive don't walk.

Decent stay overall. The area around the property is a bit shady, especially the gas station right behind it. The first room they gave us had a window that opened up to the gas station. We immediately asked for a room at the second level to get some separation atleast. The staff was courteous enough to give us another room.

Tarzana Inn is convenient and good for a last-minute stay for a night or two. There were multiple cracks and patch-up jobs around the room from the walls and up to the ceiling, however the bed is comfortable, sheets and towels are clean, very well-lit, and the bathroom is tidy. With the surrounding area being very convenient for shopping and food in just walking distance, it is a decent stay with the friendly staff and complimentary snack pack. The Tarzana Inn is great for an overnight stay but it being on the scale of only being a good place to sleep.

The rooms have been updated and the only negative was there was no small table or chairs to be able to relax in the room - there was only the office chair at the desk. I been staying in this place for years, once a month, everything has been great, it’s a nice hotel, not the best but considering the area and affordability works excellent for me, staff is nice, polite, check in has always been quick and friendly, well not this last time, there was a different person at reception and he was on he’s phone, he was aware I was there but keep watching he’s phone, he was watching some type of video and replying at someone, it was very rude, was definitely not work related, made the process uncomfortable and I was mad. I won’t let this bad experience stop me from coming back but I hope this gets work out by management.
