Booked for my 20 & 17 year old daughters after a concert. The room was nice but when they got there the hotel had sold all the parking spaces to people with multiple cars per room and the parking on the street ends at 8am usually and this particular night they were resurfacing the road so you could only park until 6am. Since they arrived at almost midnight, they called us panicking and we told them to park out front and get up before 6am and hope someone had left the hotel parking already. They had not, so my daughter drove around the side streets before 6am and found one that was 2 hour parking after 8am and went back to bed. They just made sure they were gone by 10am. The parking for the hotel is very small and so they should limit it to one car per room like other hotels I have been to do.

Well it’s an old property that they have done great job renovating but still feels old. More like a motel 6 kind of vibe. The place seemed like has lots of ‘local visitors”. There was a lot of strange characters sitting in their cars waiting. I would say that’s kind of reason I was not super comfortable saying I would stay there again.

This was a great place to stay for a quick weekend getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and overall a good value.

One thing to note is that parking can be very limited if you arrive after 9 PM, so plan accordingly. The room I stayed in did not have a desk, and there was only one mirror located in the bathroom, which made getting ready a bit challenging. There was also no electrical outlet in the bathroom, so I wasn’t able to blow dry or style my hair there. I ended up setting up near the mini fridge since that was the closest outlet available.

On the positive side, the bed was excellent. My boyfriend loved the firm mattress and said it was great for his back. I have to agree, it was one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The pillows were also incredibly comfortable. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, I would stay here again for a short trip.

Overall, this hotel was okay for a short stay. The rooms were clean and appeared to be somewhat updated, and the staff were excellent—friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit.

That said, there were a few drawbacks. The walls and windows seem extremely thin, and we could hear almost everything happening outside and in neighboring rooms. Noise was a constant issue, especially at night.

We were also concerned about the parking lot and overall security. Parking didn’t seem well regulated, and it appeared that people who weren’t guests were frequently using the lot. There were also a few transients coming through the property, which made the environment feel less secure than we’d prefer, especially while traveling with children.

While the staff made a positive impression, we probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again, particularly with kids.

Room 102 bed is extremely comfortable. The noise from the pool not sooo much. I’ve voiced my opinion about the tv not saying no signal and not displaying anything other then the news. I was told to toggle the button underneath the tv to tv so it’ll work and didn’t. I was provided the tv guide and the same “no signal”. I’ve figured if there are two desk agents and not willing to come to the room to check it themselves this problem is not going to get solved. No attempts were placed to the room to see if everything was taken care of. Not satisfied with a paid service by lazy front desk agents nor was provided a solution when asked if I could move to another room.

I was very pleased at the reasonable price and it is right near so many walkable things, the Sherman Oaks Galleria, there’s a 7-Eleven right nearby. This is an old motor hotel from the ‘60s so it’s only two levels and the walls can be a bit thin. Decor is slightly sparse, but it’s very clean and in a fabulous location and I recommend it.

Hotel didn't notify hotels.com, that they didn't have a room available. We showed up and were turned away. Our reservation was booked 5 days before travel so they had plenty of time to send notice. Horrible customer service.

Parking was on site only $11/night. The motel is decent if you need to stick to a budget. The room was clean, beds were decent. Close to lots of the sites in LA. The only complaint I had was no bathroom vent fan, which the room we stayed in 105 had bathroom window however there was a security camera directly outside of the window.

Our room looked and smelled clean when we arrived. The (one) chair we had was a little worn. We had a cute red retro Frigidaire but no microwave or coffee maker. Not a deal breaker. The ladies I dealt with at the office we friendly and pleasant. BUT... when my husband got out of bed at 1 am, he stepped on a cockroach! And he said there were more, under the bed. He didn't tell me until 5am, thank God. I made the mistake of leaving my jeans on the floor, and sure enough, when I picked them up and shook them out, a cockroach felt out. A big black one. At that point we could not vacate the place fast enough. The woman at the desk was aware there had been these issues and mentioned they would get someone in to take care of it. But in the meantime we could not escape the feeling that there was something in our hair and anywhere else on our bodies. I understand that this area of town has lots of cockroaches, but, ugh!

I have stayed here a number of times over the years and am always pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms. The cleaning crew does a fantastic job! Additionally, the front desk manager and others have been incredibly helpful for anything you may need. I recently had been helped by Gabriel who is exceptional with inviting you to the property and even reached out to see if I had everything I needed given I was very pregnant. The friendliness and attention to the property I notice, as well as keeping an eye out in late night hours to watch who comes in and out- that made me feel safer.

The sojourn was fine for what we needed. It was clean. We were disappointed that when we booked it said breakfast was included but it wasn’t. Water pressure in the shower was good and the bed was comfortable. We also weren’t informed before we arrived that parking was an additional charge. Check-in and out was relatively easy.

My fiancé and I came and stayed for 2 nights while on a trip to universal studios. We got a season pass so we are trying to find a reliable hotel we can stay at whenever we come. Unfortunately our experience with the sojourn wasn’t great. For starters, the person who checked us in spoke like he didn’t want to be there or something I’m not sure, he just didn’t talk very professionally to us. Then, the room was okay, but not decorated the way they show in the photos, the only “retro” decor was a couple small pictures and two chairs. There is about a 2 inch gap under the front door, and the bathroom window didn’t lock or have a screen, it just slides open. Neither of our room keys worked after only one night. The shower was also extremely small. My fiancé is a plus size woman but she’s not huge, she’s about 260lbs, but she couldn’t comfortably shower in there shower. The toilet paper roll is also placed way too low and pushed against my leg the whole time I tried to use the bathroom and I ended up having to remove the roll to use it. There was also hardly any light in the room despite having multiple lamps and the walls were super thin. Just not a great stay overall.

Parking was tight and felt un monitored for safety, and was an extra fee. Room was cleanish, but walls, windows, and floors were not clean. There was terrible lighting in all areas and the blackout curtains did not adequately cover the window, letting in a light of light that disrupted sleep. The bathroom is really small, without a counter, bathtub, fan, or hooks to hang clothes or towels. There is no desk, table, or luggage rack. This hotel felt like a cheap motel with some cheerful paint.

It is a motel which the app didn’t say. It has a high ratings despite the rooms being gross , windows open at street level with no locks, beds old and uncomfortable, not a comfortable stay mentally or physically. The staff was the only highlight. Very nice and helpful staff. I would never stay again.

I can understand the big chain Hotels charging to park, but come on if people are choosing to lodge there at least disclose that part before people decide to book. If people are choosing to stay there why should a customer pay to park if we opt to rent a room? Toilets kept getting clogged and there was visible microbial discoloration on shower ceiling. I would not recommend this place!

This is basically a clean average motel with nice colored doors. Thats it. The pool was ice water and the filter off during the day so all the tree debris stayed on the surface. The worst thing was that we booked this due to the 44 exceptional reviews about the breakfast, that's non existent, only coffee. The listing also said there's a resterant....which there isn't. The phots are a bit deceiving, it looks like any other motel.

I have never been to a hotel that didn’t have an outlet in the bathroom, until this one. Such a large gap between the bottom of the door and the frame which I didnt realize (it was daytime) until a watch a bug crawl under it. Had to use the spare blanket to block it. Curtains have a large gap on each side so you either get woken up early or have to figure out a way to keep it closed (hair clips!). The air conditioner is the loudest I have ever experienced and you don’t have a chance of getting used to it bc it won’t stay on- it kicks off then on every few minutes but without it it’s too hot. Was there mostly to sleep so this was a big problem. Could hear traffic every time the AC turned off. Could hear every vehicle whose car beeped when being locked/unlocked and anyone who was even speaking in what seemed like normal voice. It was clean and cheap but that was the only pros for me. Will not stay again.
