Outdated hotel with poor service. I felt like I was just a number to the guy at the front desk. The hotel lobby felt dark and shabby like it hadn’t been dusted since the 1990s. I expected so much more from a $400 stay. Only two great things were the pool area and that we could walk to Universal Studios.

The only negative was that a large part of the public space is under a major renovation construction project.

Otherwise, it was perfectly located and suited for our travel needs. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would stay here again and enjoy the results of the renovation.

Due to a very late check-in, we did not have the opportunity to report a room issue at the time. Unfortunately, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, so we didn't sleep at all that night. We found the mattress to be sagging and uneven, surely not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel.

Stayed here for a Universal Studios trip with my partner. Hotel was in walking proximity to the park and even included a free shuttle. Parking fee was a little expensive and we didn't try any other amenities, but we enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Will stay here again.

Hotel was clean. Very close to universal studios, about a 5 to 10 minute walk, also offered a shuttle. Check in and consierge staff very helpful and nice. Convenient lobby bar and restaurant. My only complaint was breakfast was extremely overpriced. A good variety of buffet style breakfast but not for the price. Hostess at breakfast was quite rude but otherwise good stay if you're wanting to stay right near the park. More affordable options nearby if you rent a car.

Stay was okay overall. The shuttle to Universal was definitely a nice perk and super convenient. The beds had a strong, almost hospital-soap smell, which wasn’t my favorite. The business center is pretty small for a hotel that hosts a lot of conferences. Also didn’t love that you have to pay extra for hot breakfast items. Not a bad stay, but a few things could be improved.

Frustrating Hotel that charges 50 dollars a day for parking, was charged $195. for 3 nights (and two full days). Incredibly frustrating. No free breakfast, breakfast was quite expensive. The hotel was quite old, renovations were going on. The rooms were just okay, not really worth the price we paid. The beds weren't bad, but it felt like we were nickle and dimed for every little thing. Welcome to California I guess. Would not stay here again. There was nothing indicating that we would have to pay that much money in parking.

For a Hilton I would expect more such as the fridge that we had in there did not keep our drinks cold house leaving clean but not excellent because we found old Advils underneath our beds. We even found a dollar in between the mattress. It sucks that you have to pay for parking after you already paid so much for the rooms. No free breakfast I don't know for Hilton. I expected more for your buck. The one great thing is that it was close to universal studio so we didn't have to really walk far. There isn't really much close by restaurants for you to eat at besides the mall which is expensive because it's marked twice as much as you normally priced. So you would have to drive at least a few miles just to get some decent food

The only thing about this hotel that is beneficial is the walking distance to Universal Studios otherwise, there’s not really a whole lot around. The hotel is currently under renovations which we were unaware of so there was not really any food options and you had limited times you could order food through room service.

I expected more for staying with Hilton, the bed was hard and very caved in the middle of the bed. Seemed dated for the price, fridge was hidden in the dresser wish it was more visible. The ice machine on the 14th floor was broke so I called front desk to request ice she said someone would be up to bring some but nobody ever came, by then I was asleep. Great location to the parks and I love the bus that takes you back and fourth to the park with no fee. The outdoor escalator was very broken with the doors hanging off and what appeared to be a bloody hand print at the bottom of the escalator, very weird and creepy!! Average rating.

The whole hotel had a moldy smell. They charge their guests insanely high price for parking and they also charge for WIFI. No hotel all over the world charged me for parking or wifi for the last 10 years. It was my first and last time staying in Hilton Hotels.

We loved this hotel; staff was amazing, the shuttle was quick and easy, and the room was really comfortable.

Pros: the king bed was heavenly, one of the most comfortable I've slept on. The food was pricey but delicious, and the shuttle was always on time. There was some construction in the dining areas, so we did miss some choices. It was a short walk to the park.

Cons: there was only one hook (other than the small loop for hand towel) in the bathroom; no place to hang toiletry bags or all of our towels.

We had a great time and would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this location on our most recent trip to Universal Studios and were so pleasantly surprised. It was a great location, a convenient walk to the amusement park, and staff were all above and beyond. By far the best of our recent California trip. We will definitely stay here again. Spent a lovely evening and morning at the pool, which our kiddos loved. Highly recommend!

The only thing is that we got a double bed room and the beds were a little too small to fit two people in my opinion but everything else was good.

I understand they are under construction but our food was

Restaurants were closed so would have been good to know in advance. Beds super comfy, bathroom so clean, towels super fluffy!

Great views and staff and though we didn’t use the pool or tub, they looked nice.

Laundry room was so useful and clean, gym was equipped really well, clean and great views.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. 5 min walk to Universal. Spacious rooms - would definitely recommend.

Beds were clean, as well as the bathroom. Water pressure was not great, and we had to ask for more towels every day. We had 4 people in our room and only received 2 towels daily. The pool is small, but nice. Everything was WAY overpriced, as most hotels, but especially the coffee bar. No microwave in the room, but it was listed as an amenity.

The biggest issue I had was the water in the room don’t work correctly. I notified the front desk and they sent someone to fix it, but it wasn’t fixed. The shower would turn completely off while I was in it. The sink faucet wouldn’t release water when you turned the nozzle on. The toilet wouldn’t flush everytime you tried to flush it. They definitely need to do something about their plumbing.

My stay at this hotel was disappointing due to the way my family was treated. While at the buffet, staff approached us rudely and asked us to get up from our table, saying it was too late, without any courtesy or understanding. The interaction felt disrespectful and left a negative impression on what should have been a pleasant experience. I hope the hotel works on improving customer service, especially in how guests are addressed. The only polite and professional staff member was the lady at the front desk when we checked in. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I would rather stay at the Sheraton next to it.

One of the onsite restaurants is indefinitely closed - but advertised on the website. There is not microwave in the room, and there is a charge for wifi = disappointing. One morning we were the last seating at breakfast buffet and it was like they had already closed everything down. There was no one there to make an omelet, we were disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City for 3 nights, during Ester weekend. The location is perfect, especially if you’re visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. One of the best parts was the convenient shuttle service that takes you back and forth between the hotel and the park, it made everything so easy and stress-free.
The staff truly made the experience special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. You can really feel how organized and attentive they are everything runs smoothly and on time, which I really appreciated.
Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely come back again whenever I visit Universal Studios!

We stayed in a room with a pullout bed which was more like a torture device. Seems it had not been updated in a very long time. Also our TV never worked, water pressure went in and out.
Not a good experience. We wont be back.

Hotel stay was great, but the random hidden charges were ridiculous. \"Complimentary\" wifi was $13 per day, parking was $50 per day, continental breakfast was easy to confuse with the hot bar and resulted in a $12 charge, and then they tacked on $8.25 a day after checkout for a local ordinance that should have been included in the price. Be prepared to pay an extra $100 per night after \"all fees included.\"

Overall it was fine. Little things are what our complaints would be. It was very expensive at the places to eat there. Also not a lot of breakfast options for kids. We bought yogurt and cereal in the gift shop but again, expensive, and they were never stocked. The shower would run cold and then would turn off and on. It was convenient and close to Universal Studios though.

The hotel was fine. The bed was hard as a rock. Ouch. A topper would really help. One restaurant serves only a Fire Bowl for dinner which is extremely limited as the single meal is full of allergens.
The other restaurant is very limited as well. Otherwise, the conference area was nice, food was decent and rooms were spacious.

Beautiful property, with an outstanding view. We were ont he 18th floor, with a corner room overlooking Universal Studios. It was amazing.

Two issues, one very minor, but the windows were so dirty outside that the sun hitting them made it difficult to see out. At night, not so much a problem, but they did need washing.

Major issues was one morning, I had no hot water for a shower. Complained to front desk, and they acknowledged the issue, and comped our breakfast from the day before. Great handling of a complaint. Thank you.

I wish we had time to explore the pool and other amenities, but overall very much enjoyed our stay.

Check in was difficult just due to the layout of the hotel. They don’t allow guests to use the luggage cart, so an attendant has to go with you. This was helpful at check in due to the confusing layout, but at check out, we just needed the cart. No need for assistance and the feeling to need to tip again for something we could easily do ourselves.
The added 16-18% to food and drinks isn’t gratuity to your servers and we as guests are encouraged not to tip at this establishment. We still tipped everyone, in addition to paying the added percentage as well. It feels very wrong not to tip, and adding 40% to our bill from each meal or drink, was completely unexpected and really off putting.
A few lows: the hot tub was cold when the pool opened on Saturday so we didn’t get to enjoy it as that was the only time we could go during our busy trip. The beds were almost unbearably creaky with even a slight move, room service steak was undercooked, chicken strips were dry and overcooked, everything besides the chicken wings were either under cooked, over cooked or cold when we got it.
Ending on the highs: all staff we interacted with were wonderful, all were friendly and helpful, location of hotel was perfect, room size and layout is great, smooth check out. Would stay again, but would not eat or drink on property due to the additional fees charged and encouragement not to tip, it’s just awkward not to tip if the service is good.

I had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City and would absolutely give it 5 stars. The staff provided excellent service from start to finish, they were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed.
The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day out. What really stood out was the location, it’s just about an 8-minute walk to Universal Studios, which made our trip incredibly convenient and stress-free.
Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Pool was great. Not a fan of the service fees on top of tips for meals. Feel like the food is priced already for hotel to make money and was confusing that was not the tip for the server. The rooms were spacious, but had trouble getting hot water to work.
