There are some good things and some bad things to know about the Days Inn in Florida City, FL. The single biggest problem for this hotel is the location. To get IN to the hotel, you must pass it, do a u-turn by the outlet mall, sit in traffic (there is ALWAYS traffic) and wait several traffic lights to take a right into the facility’s parking lot. Getting OUT is far, far worse. There is ALWAYS traffic, so you must wait until some kind soul lets you in to take a right out of the parking lot. Everyone is sitting at this traffic light, and the facility is just a few yards from the traffic light. Once you are let in by the kind soul, you are let in into the right hand turn lane. That’s fine if you are taking a right to get on the highway to go North. If you want to go straight (Everglades) or South (the Keys)….you are in big trouble. You have to get out of that turn only lane that someone kindly let you into and get over a lane without hitting someone or causing a major accident. You only have a few yards to get over or you are heading North on the expressway, like it or not. It’s terrible. For this reason alone, I will never ever stay at this Days Inn location ever again. This hotel is not quiet as there is always traffic noise. The Staff was courteous, efficient and enjoyable, 5 out of 5 stars! People had dogs and I enjoyed interacting with them…no barking or concerns. The pool had debris/trash but was clear (not green). Housekeeping, don’t take my clean towels!

I fridge in the room was very rusty and old, the microwave was not in good working condition as well. The tub in the shower was dingy, needs to be replaced. I advised the office of my concerns, was advised that they would tell maintenance. I will never stay at this hotel again.

I did not feel safe there. I was fearful just walking to the laundry room. The people who hung out there was very undesirable
Everything was filthy, worn out, & bugs in our room. Had to request towels, there wasn't any available. Breakfasts was little to choose from.

The front staff was so awesome. Everything I needed was met quickly and they were pleasant. The woman who did breakfast on Easter kept up with the chaos of large families. She kept refilling before a food was out. The clients were messy and she was pleasant keeping up wiping up the spills.

Well, let’s start with upon my arrival. I ordered a room with two queen size beds. I get there and I was told and I quote. Oh they over sold the double beds rooms so we gave you one king size. So I took that room. We didn’t how dirty the floor was until we came from outside and our shoes left dirty footprints on the floor. We’d walk outside and come inside, and if our shoes were wet, they left black marks like we walked through a mud puddle. The sink in the bathroom would not drain no matter what we did it would take it like 20 minutes to drain. The people at the front desk were worthless. We went up to get some more towels the next day, we needed two more towels and a washcloth and a hand cloth and we were told we can only give you the two towel towels we can’t give you anything else. This is all we have. You’ll have to get it from housekeeping. Heres is the kicker, we never saw housekeeping or a
Cart! Overall, I’ve been worse places at a cheaper rate that have had better service and we’re way clearer than this place ever will be. Let’s not mention that the parking lot was a trashcan. Service was sucked. Nobody seemed to care or give a crap.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and I’ve never had a problem till now! I went to go get my deposit/incidental and they told me I couldn’t have it because I had a late checkout the day before!? I paid for 2 days? I never left, never changed rooms, never checked out! So how can I have a late checkout fee if I never left!? Well I tried talking to the staff and the women literally went and locked herself in the office just to avoid confrontation.! I told the lady I will never stay her again and she said we would love that!? Who says that to there customers? I let the deposit/incidental go and went back to my room to finish packing my things, next thing I know there are 2 police banging at my door!!?? They told me to leave. I was so confused this hotel literally called the police on me after trying to get my deposit back!!?? This is ridiculous and not how your customer/guest should be treated!!!! My only complaint/advice is if you stay here make sure you checkout before 11am or they will keep your money and call the police to have you removed from the premises.!

The staff tried to steal my purse and told me I have to wait x amount of to be able to pick up my purse. The front desk also did not want to tell me they had my purse until I called for the 6th time saying I wanted camera footage and I would call the police, horrible experience I will never go back.

Hotel feels unsafe from the moment you pull into the property. There's groups of people hanging out in the parking lot and hallways all times of.the night. The room seemed clean until you walked in and realized the tile was sticky and room smelled of mildew. Sheets were clean. The bathroom looked clean until you looked inside the toilet and see that half the toilet was literally covered in feces. I checked out well within 24 hours of checking in. I didn't bother talking to the front desk clerk cause clearly she had no interest in being there. Covered with a blanket at 4pm and wearing a face mask perched up on a chair.

Good luck and stay elsewhere.

This was a great easy property to stop for the night. I am pretty sure I got doubled charged for the room. I paid on Expedia with trip insurance and then again at check in as they said they had no record of a credit card charge. It was midnight and I really didn’t care at that point. Rooms are great, little breakfast had limited options for a continental but still was nice to have something in the morning before heading to the keys

The room had bugs. There was a homeless man living in the garbage area. It was not very clean. The other guests of the hotel appeared to be living there maybe. They sat out in their cars, smoking weed and sat out in front of their room, typically around 2 o’clock in the morning having loud conversations which means they’re also sitting in front of your room. It was a sketchy place. The AC unit never got very cold and would just shut itself off on its own. I would not stay there again.

Check in was at 3 PM and we were told we had to wait another half hour for our room before it was ready (cleaned etc)! Room was NOT clean, it was filthy; floors were so dirty our feet were black after showering, the bathroom had 2” long hairs on the floor, the tub had streaks of dirty dried water running down it! The room smelled so musty and moldy it made us feel sick!

I arrived at check in, asked for a 3rd floor room facing out since I get anxiety. The room given was one of the few that faced a stairway wall, noisy, dirty and dark. There was no other window. I called the front desk and explained. The man impatiently told me there were no other rooms. I offered to change floors, bed size....would have paid more. He insisted there were no other rooms even though check in had just started and online there were rooms. We had not settled in ....he just didn’t want to bother.

The room was a DUMP!!!! TV wouldnt come on. Called desk around 830pm, right after we checked in
Said someone would be right up. 90 minutes later we called desk to canas we were tired. "Oh, he can come now" . Seriously!? Cant say enough that it is a dump. I have pictures.

The place is very dirty, the staff is not friendly, except one lady working in the breakfast area is going out of her way to please everyone. This morning, my husband and I couldn't shower to go to the airport because they didn't have running water. I am very upset. The worse experience ever. David at the reception tried to blame the city, he also said it's the whole neighborhood which is a lie, I personally checked with the hotel across the street. When I said that I wanted a reimbursement at least for that day, he told me that he couldn't help because I booked through a third-party.
Hope to hear from expedia for this inconvenience.

First room we were given was literally under construction and a wreck so we requested another and it was so dirty and gross. Didn’t end up staying at the hotel, left in middle of the night because I had no desire to sleep in there and drove 2 plus hours home :’) lost my money but oh well. There was a staff member who was so wonderful. The front desk said all 1st floor rooms were taken. We got the second floor room that was all the way down the corridor. The supervisor of Room cleaning saw us struggling and said we could have a room on the first floor that she just finished cleaning. We think her name was Renee, but she was the supervisor. What an angel.
