The place was very dirty. The door was broken, and the air conditioner was broken and extremely noisy—we couldn’t sleep. We had to leave the property. I don’t understand how people give this place excellent reviews. We chose it to be close to Everglades National Park, but we were not given a refund. The breakfast area was very dirty and there was barely any food. This place is disgusting.

I only had one problem: for some reason, the hotel charged my card twice on different days. The manager agreed to reverse one of the transactions, but now I don’t know when the money will be returned to my account. This situation affected my plans during my stay in Florida.

I stayed at the Super 8 in Florida City and had a terrible experience. The room was damp and had a strong moldy smell, which triggered my allergies immediately. On top of that, I encountered cockroaches at night, which was extremely unpleasant. The furniture was old, dusty, and visibly moldy, making the room feel unclean and unsafe. Overall, the hotel did not seem well-maintained.

After I posted my initial review, the owner noticed that I had placed the moldy chair outside of my room and came to speak with me. He apologized for the oversight and refunded 50% of my stay, which I appreciated. However, the staff still need better training and awareness regarding room conditions and guest care. These issues should have been addressed long before any guest checked in.

I hope the management will make serious improvements, but based on my stay, I would not recommend this hotel.

What is not listed in the reviews is this hotel is directly in front of a fish market. The smell after raining was absolutely nauseating we did not want to leave our room. I have never smelled something so awful. Additionally, there were people loitering outside their room smoking, barely any clothes, and being loud. I don't know who they had over but seeing a woman giggling in her underwear at 5 in the afternoon is not something I want to see on vacation or should be seen by family's with little ones. Spend the extra money and stay at a holiday inn. This place was smelly and trashy.

This is a wonderful hotel and every one from the front desk ( Bianca ) is just the sweetest thing and willing to help in anyway, the security, the maids are well mannered and helpful.

Staff was very nice, that’s the only redeeming quality. The rooms are gross, the floors are sticky. The towels and sheets are all stained. The microwave looks like it’s never been wiped and the safe in the room doesn’t work.
