c-hotels Fiume gets an “A” for comfort, cleanliness, and charm. The room and bathroom were fairly large and both very clean. My room also had a nice balcony with table and chairs. The staff were friendly and helpful - checking in/out was easy and they arranged a car to the airport for us. We quite enjoyed the happy-hour drink and snack! TIP: have it on the 5th-floor terrace for added ambience. Definitely recommend and would stay again on my next visit to Rome.

The rooms were extremely clean. I enjoyed that we weren’t right in the centre but it was still walkable to all attractions. There are many good restaurants around the hotel. The staff are excellent! I celebrated my birthday at this hotel and they brought a sweet treat up to my room. I would recommend this hotel time and time again.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. It’s very clean and located in a quiet area, but still has great transport connections to the city center. There are several supermarkets, pizzerias, and little restaurants just around the corner. The rooftop terrace with tables is a lovely spot to relax with a glass of wine after a long day of exploring. The staff are very kind and always ready to help. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay: hairdryer, toiletries (soap, shampoo, shower gel, cotton buds), a safe, and extra blankets. It’s also wonderfully quiet — no street noise at all, so you can sleep really well. The air conditioning in the room isn’t super strong, but it’s manageable.

A couple of small downsides:
•If you need ice, you have to ask at reception.
•Housekeeping doesn’t restock the in-room coffee, sugar, creamer, or tea once they’re used.

Run down, but fine for one night

The hotel looked very tired and run down, not as good as the photos. I can’t quite tell if it’s just a bad renovation job or it’s just in need of updating. The bed was ok, but the pillows were lumpy and frankly a bit gross, they need to be replaced. The bathroom looked like it was recently updated? For us the stay was fine, it was only one night but I don’t think I would have been very happy with longer than one night. We did not get the breakfast at the hotel because 18 euros for each person was not gonna be worth it in my opinion. There are two places to get breakfast within 2 blocks that were nice and way cheaper.

The neighborhood was fine and it was easy enough to catch a bus to get places. Maybe pick up a public transport card at the main train station though if you plan on traveling by public.

Oh yeah, last thing, it was really warm in the room. It’s like the heat wouldn’t turn off so we had to crack a window.

The description indicated VIP Access which I emailed the hotel to ask about TWICE but they never responded. We did arrive early in the day and were able to get into our room so that was nice. I had selected to pay the hotel upon arrival but a week before our trip a $245 charge appeared on my credit card to an account in Italy that didn't indicate C-hotels or Fiume so I had to email the hotel to ask if it was them. Also the price was supposed to include all charges and fees but i was hit with an additional $7.50 per room per day fee upon check-in so that should be taken into consideration. Carlos told me and my son that breakfast was NOT included but the minibar was. That was a lie as we were charged for the minibar upon checkout. And when I asked for a receipt upon checkout, I was told to ask Hotels.com for it - even though I paid the hotel directly, not Hotels.com. So as another reviewer indicated, they will hit you up for a lot of additional charges. The room itself was beautiful - and clean. Great job by their housekeeping staff. However, the hotel itself is in need of repairs - everything looks worn. At one point the elevator was out of service during our stay AND the wallpaper they were patching fell down and was laying on the stairs. Also you have to walk up a landing to the elevator bank so people with a handicap should take that into consideration. All in all, I'd give it a 3 - definitely not the \"4 star hotel\" rating that they claim it is.

This is a lovely older hotel that has received many updates, especially with regard to room renovation. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. We stayed for a week, and I would gladly repeat the experience. The breakfast buffet is very nice, and there's a pleasant little terrace on the 5th floor. The surrounding neighborhood is probably among the nicer areas to stay in Rome. Although it's outside the Aurelian Walls, it's easy enough to walk to the main attractions. There is a real sense of community here, and some really great spots for eating or drinking (and beautiful architecture). Not so many tourists around, either, which is a plus in Rome.

The hotel itself was basic but nice, a bit away from the centre of rome but walkable - had to get a taxi back at night so bare in mind when booking. I am disappointed however that i had not been informed they would be doing maintenance/construction work in the hotel - I was assured it would be completed on the first day I stayed, as it was happening right next to my room, yet they carried on for another day, and I did not feel they listened to my complaint. There were also basic amenities I would expect that they didn't provide, e.g. only gave us one shower towel for a 2 person room. Good hotel and the staff were welcoming, but wouldnt rush back unfortunately. Love Rome though!

The location was fantastic—quiet and peaceful. There was a wonderful trattoria nearby, along with a cozy coffee shop. The service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options.

Carlos made us feel at home, and he speaks Spanish. His warm hospitality and language skills created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

The hotel is located 20' waling distance from the Termini and another 25' walking to the monuments (Spanish steps and Fontana di Trevi). You will find dinner options around the hotel. The day we arrived Carlos was at the front desk and he was very welcoming, he offered an upgrade to the room we had booked and gave very useful recommendations. It was very nice to meet him! We loved the hotel after that warm reception. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, bathroom updated and clean and we had even a balcony. The whole experience was very good and we would repeat without hesitation.

This place is awesome, its tucked away in a neighborhood in the main part if Rome and as long as you are ok with 20-40 minutes walks (2 km - 5 km)… you can pretty much walk to any place within an hour. If you are not a walker, you can easily access the metro train or the bus. The AC isn’t as good as I would have wanted, but honestly that is just me being used to American AC, I have been all over Europe and for what they are used to when it comes to ACs - it is totally fine.

The staff are also all very kind and helpful with any questions you may have or anything you might need.

Staying at this property was great, from the get go we had extremely friendly staff greet us and help with any issues. This was a safe area still close enough to nearby attractions and sites but away enough to almost feel like a local with less a Hussle and bussel of tourist central.. the hotel itself was ok, I mean your going to Rome and your hotel is for sleeping. Walls are extremely thin, breakfast was decent, room was clean except the bidit did have blood on it, which we just didn't use. Pillows were horrible but unless your spending $400 a night in a US Equivalent 3-4 star hotel. This will certainly do the job. Overall it wasn't a bad stay

We had just had a horrible experience at a different hotel and were able to book Fiume last minute. We were so relieved when we got to our room. Everything was clean and the staff was welcoming. Simon was very attentive and even called our room to make sure we got in okay! The only issue we had was that the heat cuts off after a certain time for the whole building but other than that everything was perfect!

The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, and about a 20-minute walk to many attractions (but there are bunch of restaurants much closer). The staff was super pleasant and helpful — they made the stay even better!

Toilet issue...

Staff were very polite, friendly and professinal. However, our stay was scarred by 1 issue - toilets. Their toilets don't seem to work well. Our toilet water tank, in particular, would not fill on its own, it had to be played around with each time, and it was not flushing well either. We didn't care on day 1 as we were out most of the day anyway. Our 3rd and final night there the toilet would not flush, so I had to call the front desk, who said he'd send someone in the morning (morning of our departure). The plumber came and left to get parts to fix it, however, because it was taking long and we had to use the toilet and needed to get ready to check-out we asked for another room/bathroom.

I do have to say the staff were very accommadating and got us another room immediately. However, sad to say when we came to use the new bathroom we discovered someone else's stool in the toilet, which i tried to flush multiple times but it would not flush away (again, weak flush). The staff came and apologized for it though and got it cleaned. We finally used the bathroom, got ready and checked out.

Overall, pleasant and accomadating staff and good location, but ALL the toilets need to be changed and they need to double check on their cleaning staff to ensure toilets are cleaned well.

60th birthday celebrations in Rome which were lovely. Hotel Fiume was a lovely base if a bit far from the metro. Buses were from Piazza Fiume but always busy so had to stand the 20 min ride to see attractions. Hotel Fiume was small and in boutique style which we liked.
Decor in our double room was a bit dated, wallpaper edges peeling, some loose fittings around, lighting quite subsided too. Main issue was the double king size bed as it wasn’t, it was 2 beds put together so the mattresses kept parting, it would have been great if there was a king size mattress on the two beds as it was comfy.
Breakfast was very nice and had enough choice too. Plenty of bars and restaurants locally. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. In hindsight if we visit Rome again then would probably stay more central.

Great great location. We walked to everywhere, also is not far from subway. Room for 4 is even good to organize luggages. Beds are comfy, bathroom is good for what you need. High ceilings.We use the rooftop at nice to have some wine under the moon. The staffs was attentive and nice, helpful with all the info that we needed it. Many languages are speaking here.
We didnt add the breakfast bc in front of the hotel there is an amazing coffee place. If we visit Rome again, we'll stay here.

Just stopping through for two days. Hotel is very nice and the location was great. The gentleman at the front desk (causation with glasses) was a pleasure to deal with and took great care of us. The property was clean, and the staff was friendly. It was in a central location with a lot to do nearby. Walls/doors are thin, so you can sometimes hear people in other rooms or the hallways.

Quick summery:
Quite possible the WORST hotel I've stayed in. This is not a 4 star hotel, maybe 2 star at best. I had such a terrible experience, so please save yourself the trouble. Don't be fooled by their BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC.

Review:
Let's start off with the photos, they are clearly modified and does not represent the room itself. In reality, they are small and cramped. 5 minutes after settle in, the receptionist ringed our room, and when we voiced our concerns, he promptly written down upgrade options. Soon after, we come to find out addition costs are applied. The carpeted hallways are stained. The elevator could barely for 2 person with each a carry on luggage. The receptionists are dishonest and will try to nickel and dime every penny. The hotel is outdated, dark, and poorly upkept. The moment you walk in, you'll know right away that this is not a 4 star hotel.
