I recently stayed at this charming hotel in Rome and was pleasantly surprised by its warmth and character. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short stroll from the Metro, allowing you to see many of the city’s iconic landmarks after 2 or 3 stops. The staff were friendly and genuinely eager to help, offering great local recommendations that made my trip even better. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after busy days exploring. The hotel’s authentic Roman atmosphere and great value make it a wonderful choice for travellers seeking comfort and convenience in the heart of the city.

The staff was extremely accommodating! Our room was pristine and cleaned everyday. When we arrived even though it was before our check-in time they provided us with a room to freshen up and change our clothes from the 9 hour flight we had just taken to get there. Next they provided us with a place to store our luggage so we didn't need to rent a \"luggage locker\" in the city before we could check-in. They explained how the keys worked and how to access everything. In the evening it is so quiet and peaceful that if you lay in the bed you can hear your own heartbeat. It's the best place to stay in Roma, in fact the furthest distance we traveled from the hotel to an attraction was only 36 minutes on foot. It is perfectly located in between every attraction that first time visitors want to see. This includes the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, Vatican City, the Spanish Steps, The Basilica of San Clemente, all of it is accessible from this location if you don't mind a little bit of walking. If you do there are taxi's everywhere that will take you where you want to go. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and the accommodations other than to say they are simply top-notch! When we go back next year this will definitely be the place where we will be residing for our trip! They also provided us with transportation to and from the airport making that travel extremely simple which is such a great relief for travelers.

Unfortunately our room had a very low flow of water in the shower. Which makes showering bad. We requested assistance to the staff. And nothing happened what makes price/quality ratio pretty high.

Our 18 hour flight was delayed and we arrived after 8pm. We called as soon as we got phone battery.

At first they said they didn’t see our reservation. Once I messaged them through Orbitz, they canceled it! I asked for a refund and they refused. I am now disputing the charge through my bank. Absolutely horrible place.

We were stranded on the streets and had to find whatever place we could. The Guardian Hotel ended up squeezing us in and was a lovely stay.

Do not book here!

The second time I booked a room for two people in this hotel. Receptionist was helpful and nice. They even help me to take some of the luggages into the room as they were too heavy for me. No towels and soap were given during this stay and it was unexpected. Small room that only one luggage could be opened but the room was in good condition. Would book again if it is cheaper as it don't deserve £69 for a night, but it worths £48 for a night.

Nice and clean, pretty good value, and well-located for Termini station and the best coffee in Rome (Faro - Illuminari del Caffe). But our bed was memory foam, and it took me two days for my back to recover. Staff also hung our towels in different places than we’d left them (whose is whose?), didn’t leave soap in the first place for one of our rooms, and then stole the soap we had been given without giving us more! Needed extra pillows too (to deal with the memory foam), but no one was available to help us whenever we were around. The owner Claudia was very nice but the housekeeping side could improve.

Romantics in Rome.

This little set of apartments is definitely not a hotel. The apartments share an entryway and there is one staff on site for limited hours. I'd still recommend this as a less expensive option and it allowed easy access with about a 15 min walk to the termini area. The apartments are clean and well looked after and very quiet. A voucher is provided for coffee and pastry in the cafe next door.

Such a nice stay over 5 days!

First the staffs are so kind and friendly and helpful. We used their call taxi when we went back to the airport, and the taxi driver was so kind and the car was so comfortable, and actually cheaper than other taxi service. The room was so clean and well maintained. Air conditioned and lots of sun light if you want. The building has a very small elevator, so you don't have to carry your heavy luggages over stairs way.
The area has tons of good restaurants, markets, deli stores, gelato places and cafe. You can meet local people as well as have easy access to bus stops and metro. We loved the area because there were much quieter than the area close to the Termini station. The breakfast place they arranged has such a friendly owner and staffs and nice coffee and bakery options for breakfast. We enjoyed the stay and if we come back to Rome, will definitely stay there again.

Nice rooms but limited front desk staff

Although the room was quite comfortable and clean (shower was particularly good), I missed having a front desk person. Staff was there for very limited hours thus communication was difficult. Questions had to be emailed or texted which was inconvenient and sometimes you wouldn't bother. For example, we couldn't find a control for the air conditioner and it was late at night so didn't want to send an email and have to wait for email turnarounds to solve the problem.

Lovely B&B close to all the attractions

Very cute B&B. The room was very clean and spacious. Specially the bathroom was modern and clean. The service and staff was very helpful and nice.

We missed our connection from London for Rome. The checkin at Domus RomAntica officially closes at 9:00 pm, but they stayed back and waited for us and made our check in a breeze.

The hotel was about 15mins walk to Roma Termini (main station) and also around 15min walk to all major attractions.

The only drawback was that the light in the room was not much. To get decent light in the room, had to keep the shutters open.

We stayed for 4 nights and was pleased with the location. The air conditioning was working - but it could have been cooler. The temps in Rome were quite hot and all the walking we did created a need for cooler air conditioning. But we were glad to have it! The staff were very helpful with what we needed.

Be sure that you contact the hotel if you are going to be checking in after 4pm as check is only 10-4pm but they stay to check you in if you let them know. Domus Romantica is actually a floor of apartments not a hotel nevertheless its beautiful and it feels pretty cool staying in a Rome apartment block.

The staff member who checked us in was lovely although we didnt see anyone for the remainder of our trip because of the times we lwft and came back but there is a contact number by reception should you need them.

Be sure to make not of the exact address and get a taxi as there is no signage of the apartments so will be incredibly hard to find otherwise.

Hidden Gem in Rome!

Excellent location near Villa Borghese in residential area. Outstanding restaurants nearby as well. Rooms are spacious and modern. Very quiet with excellent soundproofing. In particular the bathroom and showers are some of the best I've experienced in Rome.

This is not a hotel, rather a pensiona. Staff onsite from 10:00-2:00 everyday.
I believe there are a total of 6 rooms. Good value for price. Would recommend for value budget travelers. Room 3 is a large size room. Good location also. Staff can order private transportation to and from Airports. Fixed price to Fiumicino is 45-50 euros. Saves stress from dealing with scamming Rome taxi drivers.

What a gem in chaotic Rome!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was the nicest place we stayed in Italy and the price was better than what we paid in Florence and Milan. The location is pretty central to most attractions, many like the Spanish Steps and Capuchin Church, were walking distance. The closest metro station is termini station and that was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. The area looked a little run down upon arrival but we realized what a gem it was after we enjoyed our first night of quiet sleep. It was great being away from the noise. If you stay here, try the little gastronomy restuarant just next door (door to the right of the entrance). One of the best meals we had in Italy and no hint of a touristo menu! Very authentic.

Romantic and cozy stay in Rome

We stayed at Domus RomAntica for the last leg of our honeymoon trip in Rome and it was a delightful experience! The downsides, which I'll list first, are the room was a bit small (the bathroom door blocked entry while it was open), the bathroom didn't have much counter space to place anything and it was a little dark inside the hallways. However, the front desk was very friendly, it was quite cozy and comfortable, the ceilings were very high to help make up for the smaller quarters, the vouchers to eat breakfast at nearby affiliated restaurants were a nice touch, and it certainly was a romantic experience. Bonuses were there were a few top rated pizza and gelato restaurants nearby.

We will definitely stay here again should we visit the same area in Rome again!

Nice hotel in real neighborhood

it is a Lovely place a reasonable walk from the train station. The rooms are pleasant and we enjoyed being out of the mayhem of the high tourist sections, while being a half hour walk from the Colesseum and a quick bus ride to the Vatican. One should remember it is a bed and breakfast and doesn't have 24 hour staff, but they were very nice and helpful when we saw them. We walked to Piave Piazza (a five minute walk) where they had a breakfast arrangement, there is a cafe next door as well. We liked Cafe Piave, because it was on bus route and sold bus tickets.

Lovely people and very helpful. We could leave luggage after check out before touring the city as our flight wasn't until 7pm. Bed was comfortable and the place smells lovely and clean. Just a bit away from the major attractions but the Metro was 10 minutes away and we walked everywhere anyway!

When I arrived I was afraid of the hotel because it doesn't have any name in front, it was only a big door with a ring bell; but when they showed me the bedroom it was very spacious and comfortable. Nice hotel with small room

It was a nice hotel (apartments converted into rooms), with clean and well maintained rooms but the room we had was a bit small with no place to place your bags and open them except for the one table. It is also about a 15-20mt walk from the 2 subway stations nearest to it. And if you have need something or have questions you have to call the owners on the phone (there is no one on site all day) which we found to be a bit inconvinient.

Rome for 2 nights

On our honeymoon and stayed here for two nights. Very nice people although the hotel is just half a floor in an apartment building. They were only there from 10am-4pm and we had always left before they arrived and came back after they had left. Breakfast is at a cafe down the street and was decent. They didn't have an iron that we could borrow to get some wrinkles out of our clothes. Found a big black hair on one of our towels.

Cute boutique hotel that was very comfortable and spacious. Bed was hard but nice. Decor was nice too. Wifi in our room (#5) did not work well. We had the Breakfast that was included down the street at Cafe Piave. It consisted of a delicious croissant with juice and a cappacino (or and hotel drink). And free wifi that worked well. We walked to termini station several times. About a 10-15 minute walk. The staff were all very friendly.

Luxurious snippet of Rome

Had a wonderful stay, got a taxi from the termini station as unsure from map as to which way we needed to go. We had a beautiful room which I initially thought was small but turned out to be more than adequate for the both of us. Slight annoyance was the fact we asked for a double but our bed was two singles pushed together and that the hot water would switch from hot to very cold while showering and we couldn't use the safe as was already locked and no instructions were provided. Other than that our stay was very pleasant and I would recommend staying here. The cafes provided tasty breakfasts and were directly below the B&B or a minute stroll away. There is also an amazing gelato shop opposite cafe Piave. For a luxurious hotel and a very good price and great location, stay at this hotel!

Good location just outside centre of Rome

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Domus RomAntica for 3 nights during our city break to Rome. The hotel was clean and tidy, rooms were made up every morning with fresh towels. The hotel is part of an apartment block that has obviously been renovated to cater for guests now rather than a family home.
The hotel does not provide breakfast but instead you can choose from 1 of 2 cafe's close by which the hotel will provide you with vouchers for. The breakfast only includes a coffee, 1 sweet pastry and a glass of orange juice. For a grown man this really doesn't meet the standards I would expect but it's pleasant none the less.

Overall, a good stay, the hotel is fine and situated about 10/15 min walk from the Termini station and local tour bus ride.

I rate it 6/10, pleasant but wouldn't stay there again.

Claudia, the owner of this B n B was awesome. She arranged pickup at Civitavechia for 6 of us. The wine in the room was inexpesive (eu 5) but very well consumed. Very casual place. You leave in the basket whatever you consume. Small hiccup was a misunderstanding on the van pik up to the airport. Make sure she understand your time. Her english is not accurate.

Location is good, we walked to most of the sights and it was quite.
The room was very nice and clean, of a good size. The same could be said for the shower room. The shower itself was great, powerful and roomy.
The bed comfortable.

Lovely place to stay

I had a hairy trip in from Greece then the Metro to Termini Station, and then accidentally changed the lock code on my suitcase and couldn't get in. I was so relieved to find this place was so lovely! It was a 15 min walk from the Metro Station. The hotel is difficult to find but after wandering around the street for few mins someone from the cafe came out to show me where to go. It is a commercial?/Residential? building with the hotel occupying the 4th floor. There is not signs outside just a buzzer with the name beside it.

Room is well equipped, nice & unique styling, complimentary bottle of wine was a very nice touch and appreciated. There is also a mini bar which was more than reasonable!

Hotel is aprox 20 mins walk to all the sites and there is a metro station close by if you prefer not to walk, the train station is also only about 10-15 mins walk away.

Staff were not there much which wasnt a problem as all info was provided at check in. Brekfast provided at the cafes near by which was good and they also provided me with gluten free which was veery appreciated.

Lovely room close to Roman highlights

The hotel is comfortable and remodeled. It is on the 4th floor though there is a 3-person elevator to use (which was broken while we were there--it seemed like more than 4 flights when walking!). The old building has character and charm and on a quiet side street. The room it self has tremendously high ceilings and was very clean, elegant and modern. The air conditioning was great! The items int the mini bar are not priced as in the US; most items were even cheaper than you'd find at a convince store so that was quite convenient. The ONLY bad thing I have to say about this hotel are the hours of the office staff. They were working from 10AM-2PM when we were there which made it difficult to connect with them since we were always out during those hours. Marco, the hotel manager could not be nicer, along with the rest of the staff. He offed maps, recommendations (to wonderful restaurants, etc.) and to call him any time with questions (but we didn't have access to a phone! )

This is not your typical place! 6 or 7 large and elegant rooms on the 4th floor of an apartment building a little removed from the hustle and bustle. The service is minimal but Marco was there when we needed with the information that we needed. The elevator was Down for maintenance but the staff and maintenance man helped us with our bags. The first evening we just walked up to Borghese Park, just outside the old walls of the city. Marco gave us good dinner reservations. We had our breakfast at the cafe just next door. We supplemented the basic continental with a panini for a couple euros. We stayed three days in Rome and our room was a quiet oasis away from the crowds.

This was a perfect hotel for me and the misses. Situated 15 mins from termini station. The room was clean, and spacious (considering that you're in the centre of rome and the price that the hotel is charging) and the staff were super super helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. the main station is a 10 to 15 min walk and from there is vatican is about 15 mins and the colosseum is about 10. We managed to walk to the spanish steps and the trevi fountain in about twenty mins. The Hotel is perfectly situated. Nice restaurants surrounding the hotel too. I cant say anything bad about this hotel. It was amazing.

This is truly an extraordinary B & B rather than a hotel, which suited us just fine, but for someone who wants/expects the amenities that go along with a full service hotel this property is not for them (Thus the 4 star overall rating). The staff is wonderful; responsive, helpful, concerned. The rooms are large, well-appointed, quiet, comfortable. The location is a little away (blocks, not miles) from the center of the tourist area, but this adds to the quiet and the charm. We walked everywhere; other than the Vatican, most sights were 15-30 minutes away walking. There are 2 Metro stops a short walk away, making the trip to the Vatican and the other sights across the Tiber very accessible. There are numerous good (and inexpensive) restaurants in the area. The staff helped with advice about our sight-seeing and in arranging transportation from the airport and to our cruise.

Quiet, comfortable little place

Excellent, unusual little hotel. I stayed for three nights with my wife in late May. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable rooms with no signs of wear or tear. Downside is it's a little distance from the main tourist sites, although the neighbourhood has some nice little restaurants and delis so you're not completely isolated. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Great hotel to avoid tourists

Really enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is in a quiet part of Rome near the French embassy, so iris also safe. Good restaurants nearby and there are several bus stations within walking distance. This place is definitely not for those who have a lot of needs, as the staff is only there for part of every day. They will always answer any questions and emails that you send within a few hours, though. The breakfast coupons they give you are for 2 great places nearby.

Good Location

Overall this \"Bed and Breakfast\" was nice. The rooms were a fairly quiet haven and about 20 minutes walk from the historic centre. The main qualm we had with the place was the set up with the breakfast, which is taken at a nearby cafe. Our final day was a bank holiday so we had to use a different cafe further away in the area. The breakfast is very basic with coffee, pastry and juice. But be careful not to ask for fresh juice as you will be charged extra! I think the price is a bit high for the set up, but the rooms are clean and cosy and it's close enough to everything that it was pretty convenient too.

Perfect for couples.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend, who became my fiancee during our stay in Rome by agreeing to marry me:-) Rooms were very clean and recently refurbished, staff were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived at the hotel too early but the staff were happy to store our suitcases whilst we made the most of the city, and again on the last day when we had a late flight home. Very good price. This hotel is a little gem and i'd definately recommend it for any stay in Rome.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Frühstück war gleich nebenan in der Bar möglich. Bushaltestelle nur ein paar Schritte weg von der Unterkunft. Kostenlose Gepäckaufbewahrung bis der Zug zum Flughafen ging.

Average to poor apartment, we said for 5 nights. The city tar is 6 euro per night the hotel asked for 7 euro. Everyday change of the bedsheets cost 5 euro is More like a hostel than a dorm

Camere a dieci minuti dalla stazione termini

La guest house è collocata su due piani di un appartamento a dieci minuti dalla stazione Termini. Abbiamo pernottato in una doppia carina e pulita. Uniche note negative: al nostro arrivo abbiamo dovuto aspettare un po' prima che ci aprissero, i letti non erano separati come da me richiesto ed ho dovuto sollecitare telefonicamente perché avvenisse il cambio degli asciugamani. A parte questo tutto ok, personale disponibile.

Chambres et salles d'eau rénovées récemment. Beaux matériaux. Très propres. Literie de qualité. 2 réserves chambre 103, une marche haute entre chambre et salle de bain (inconfortable) pièce sombre.
Personnel accueillant, serviable et efficace.
Proche du parc et de la villa BORGHESE mais nous avons trouvé un peu éloigné du centre historique. NB: Petit des à prendre à l'extérieur.

Alle Zimmer auf einer Etage in einem Wohnhaus. Das ist Zimmer und das Bad ist ausreichend groß. Unser Zimmer war straßenseitig und daher eher laut. Die Matratzen sind sehr hart.

Super Hotel Zentrumsnah

Wir waren für ein verlängertes wochenende in Rom im Domus Romantica. Wir haben das Hotel sehr gut gefunden auch wenn kein größeres Schild an der Tür war, die Hausnummer stimmt :).
Als wir angekommen sind ca 22h würden wir freundlich empfangen und uns wurde der Stadtplan erklärt mit einigen super Tipps!
Das Hotel liegt ruhig und wir konnten die Station Termini innerhalb von 10-15 min zu Fuß erreichen genauso das Zentrum von Rom.

Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das einzige worüber man sich bewusst sein muss, dass das Frühstück Italienisch ist d.h Kaffee, Croissant und ein Saft. Für das Frühstück hatten wir Gutscheine für 2 Bars in der Nähe (Max. 2 min zu Fuß) und dort war der Kaffee super!

Alles in allem würden wir sofort wieder ins domus romantica fahren !
