I liked the focus on being environmentally friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a good range of food at breakfast.
WiFi worked well and the room was clean. Couple of things (towel rail) needed to be updated / fixed but nonetheless I was happy.

Depending on your room location, it can be noisy at night if people are yelling in the street or if there is trash pick up. The hotel is a reimagined palazzo that was built for a noble family. It has retained some of the charm and old world elegance with a modern twist. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are small, but clean and the beds are comfortable. The shower was in an odd placement and took some work to figure it out. The location is great. A lot of good restaurants nearby and in a nice neighborhood.

Very disappointing experience at UNA Roma Empire Hotel. This hotel is definitely not what I would consider a true 4-star property.

We had two separate reservations and experienced multiple issues during our stay. The biggest issue was the shower not draining properly, causing water to pool while showering, which honestly felt very unhygienic. The condition of the rooms was also disappointing. The carpets looked stained, worn out, damp-looking, and not properly cleaned, and some of the furniture felt outdated and poorly maintained.

The first night was also very noisy due to an alarm/sound coming from the street. To be fair, the hotel did move us to another room the following night, which helped with the noise, but the overall room condition issues were still there.

Another frustration was breakfast. Although breakfast was included, it didn’t start until 7:00 AM, so because of early tours we missed it on two different days and no alternative or takeaway option was offered.

What disappointed me the most is that I brought these concerns up directly with the hotel during our stay and even requested a partial refund, but it was declined despite the issues and photo evidence.

Do yourself a favor and avoid staying at this low-standard hotel if you are expecting the quality, cleanliness, and comfort normally associated with a 4-star stay. Also, do not be deceived by the pictures shown during booking, as the actual condition of the rooms was very different from what was advertised

Booked a superior twin room. Did not receive that...or at least the room I was given didn't come anywhere close to the photos. Photos show a comfortably sized room with beds and a sofa. The room I received barely had enough space for the two beds (which were pressed together), there was no sofa (even if there was a single twin bed there wouldn't have been room for a sofa).

The breakfast did have a good spread, though the scrambled eggs were probably the worst I've ever eaten. They were obviously mashed up hard boiled eggs from a previous day, and there was a 50/50 shot of the coffee being cold.

Honestly, this might have been a luxury hotel a decade ago, but it's a shell of its former self (holes in walls and in desperate need of paint). At best, you're overpaying for a 3-star hotel with this spot.

Quiet location but also convenient to major sites like Trevi fountain which is just a 15-20 min walk. I loved the location near the Borghese gardens. Friendly front desk staff. Nice breakfast spread. Some nice restaurants right around the corner too. Rooms could use an upgrade but still clean. This was my second time back and would recommend.

Rooms lovely and very clean. Decor great and in keeping with Rome. Staff very courteous and accommodating. Suite was spacious and worked well for 2 adults, 14yr old and 9yr old. Local supermarket, bars, restaurants, souvenir shops all close by. Great location. Love the hotel.

The concierge gave us a map of the immediate area around the hotel, but mis-marked the location of the hotel. As a result, we got lost trying to find the metro station and almost missed a tour that we had booked months before and that cost over $200.

Great hotel for the price you pay you get a lot of value and amazing service by staff, very kind and helpful. Got a room upgrade to a larger bed which was very kind and appreciated.

Hotel is in a very good, safe area and in central Rome within walkable distance to all major attractions. Also placed in more local and not really crowded area, so doesn’t get noisy at night. Room was spacious and nice and clean, old style furniture but elegant. Bathrooms might need a small upgrade but overall ok.

Room was very warm, maybe a bit too hot for my liking but was cosy and nice, so maybe review rooms temperature in winter.

The staff at the front desk for check-in and out were all friendly, helpful and professional. I'm only sorry I didn't get their names because they were outstanding in their customer service, personalities and helpfulness in recommendations and transportation (Massimo picked us up from Fiumicino and he was great).

The room was wonderful - clean, comfortable bed and the bottle of prosecco (delivered in a bucket with ice and glasses) was the ultimate! I like that the window opened and you could faintly hear the music from down the street. The breakfast was very tasty with a lot of variety.

We stayed twice during our Italy visit - the first three days when we arrived and then the last night when we returned home. We walked all over - Villa Borghese, Trevi, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Piazza Navone and used the metro to the Colosseum and the Vatican. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again!

Our stay was excellent! From arranging transportation from Fiumicino airport to getting a taxi to Termini Station to getting on their wi-fi, the staff was friendly and very helpful! The room was great - restocked and cleaned daily with fresh linens and towels/amenities. The hotel breakfast was tasty with plenty of options. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

This hotel was very good, all public areas were clean and the staff were excellent. The location of the hotel is in an area that is full of super restaurants but a little far from the major attractions so you have to walk a lot.

The room itself however was really dated with worn furniture, the bathroom had mold in the shower and the room itsel desperately needs a paint job.

We enjoyed our stay but did not think the room was worth what we paid and left us a littke disappointed. Thankfully the city of Rome made up for it.

Nous sommes arrivés tôt (10h00) et la chambre était déjà prête! :) un grand merci. Acceuil parfait. Les réceptionnistes ont été gentils du début à la fin. Les déjeuners sont vraiments parfaits et le personnel, encore une fois, TRÈS gentil. 2 trucs négatifs. Mon garçon à trouvé un faux ongles qui trainait par terre..!?!? Bof et il y avait 2 airs climatisés dans la chambre. 1 n'a jamais fonctionné (j'en ai parlé 3 fois à la réception) sans résultat. Et le 2ème fonctionnait à plein régime mais il n'arrivait pas à refroidir la pièce à mon goût (j étais en sueur la nuit). Mais le service d'exception, la qualité de ses déjeuners et sa belle table de repas et sa situation géographique en fait un super choix. J'y retournerais demain avec un grand plaisir! Merci Una!

We stayed here for three days and then went to Florence before returning and staying one more night before a trip home to the US. We had such great service from Tamara. She spoke to us in English and Spanish to make sure we both understood instructions. We had also sent all of our clothes to the laundry and it did not come back in time. Tamara got on the phone and got the clothes back for us within one hour. The hotel staff are all kind but honestly Tamara made our stays the best experience. She should be commended! We will stay at Unaway again in the future!!

Property was located in a safe nice area walkable to many attractions. I did not like the fact that there was no sense of urgency when international people arrive early in the morning and they do not want to accommodate getting into their rooms early. Just a “too bad for you” attitude which I have not experienced in countries outside of Europe. Staff were passive aggressive and the bellman brought wrong luggage to our room and then couldn’t locate our bags. We ended up getting them but this was not a great experience checking in. Also bad smell coming from one of our rooms bathrooms- sewage which was unpleasant. When I alerted staff to this no offer to change rooms just sprayed our room with air fresher which does not resolve the issue. Breakfast was included and solid. I would pass in staying here again and would not recommend.

Located , very good breakfast the staff is very nice. But the Hotel itself is extremely outdated ,run down and dirty The elevator doors has paint stain all over it. After checking in the room ,they gave me was very dirty with a bad carpet odor that it triggered my asthma. I went to the front desk and reported the problem, they did and inspection of the room and gladly put me in another room which was less dirty but still has run down furniture. This hotel has potential to be a very nice hotel but is in needs of major renovations.

Big room with 2 separate rooms which was perfect as I was traveling with my mother. We each had our own space with a king bed in bedroom, and full size pullout couch in attached living room. Room was clean but dated, I imagine they will renovate soon. Location was nice, fairly quiet, with several good restaurants in surrounding blocks. Front desk team was helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants along with making the reservations on our behalf. Walking distance to all major landmarks in Rome but a little outside the craziness closer to Trevi Fountain/Pantheon etc. Lovely breakfast spread each day. Thank you!

This is really top level city hotel with good location and walkable distance to Termini station, Trevi and many other famous places. You will find just around the corner some places to eat with different types of meal for every taste.

The hotel has a classical look, which is seen in the atrium, the bedroom and bathroom.

The bathroom is gorgeous marble counters, and walls and has a bidet as well

The bedroom is very classical with hard wood bedside table and wardrobe, although the window in my room didn't close properly.

The room and bathroom show their age but the staff were very nice and welcoming which made the stay more enjoyable

A wonderful Buffett breakfast, wished we found out earlier. Expansive selection of savory and sweet. Very clean rooms. Inside courtyard rooms are noisy if conference attendees are entertaining in patio. Would stay again but request a room not facing courtyard. 24/7 reception a blessing for early departures.

We absolutely loved the hotel and would stay there again and recommend to friends. The only reason I cannot give it a 5 star is because the food at the hotel was subpar. The pasta for both our meals was so “Al dente” it was inedible. We actually had to send a dish back because the spaghetti was so hard we could not chew it. It came back equally undercooked. It was the worst meal we had during our stay. The staff and properly were excellent, the food however was not good.
